The grape/purple version fits me pretty well, though the wires seem a bit large and I can't help but wonder if a 30E might give some cleavage. The fit of this bra gives a rather separated east/west look. The vertical seams only faintly show under a tshirt. For some reason the white version of this runs larger in the cup and smaller in the band. This is a beautiful bra and I really like the grape/purple color it's almost neutral to an extent but prettier. I may need to alter the straps a bit because when I use an extender I could use them a bit tighter. I've included pictures comparing it to the white version.
I'm not sure if this is a good fit though, the top if the cup comes back under my armpit and it's a bit irritating. The cups don't have much gaping really only on the smaller side. The wire and the cup may also be too wide.
I got this at the same time I got the same bra in purple/grape. When they arrived I first saw the white and thought the bras would be too big. I decide to try on the purple since I don't usually get many bras in an actual color. The purple fits pretty well. Later I try on the white version, as soon as I even begin putting it on I can tell it feels different, I was already pretty sure from looking that the cups were larger. I continue putting it on, the band feels much tighter, the gore tacks but feels harder and is applying a lot of pressure, even when trying it with an extender. The cups are at least a cup size too large for me too. The band is a 30 but doesn't even stretch to 30 unless you were to force it. I feel like the wire in this one is thicker than the purple too. I think this bra might fit someone who is a 30FF or a 28G.
This is my first bra in my correct size range! Close in size, mostly shape that's off?
What was good about this bra? It's SUPER cute! The pink color is great, and the lace, tassels, and bows look good and are sturdy. Straps adjust well, are thick and comfortable on top of shoulders.
Does it poke? Is it comfortable? The straps cut into my arms/sides on the front. The gore is too wide and pushes my boobs apart uncomfortably. I find myself scooping and swooping throughout the day because it rides up a little.
Does it stretch out? As of 6.24.15 I just acquired it. I'm still ...wearing it on the loosest hook (there are three), I anticipate having to wear it on tighter hooks as it stretches out.
Pros -Seriously, it's adorable. -It seems well constructed, we'll see how it stands the test of time. Cons -From looking at the pictures of the models, I didn't realize my nipples would be right on the line where the full coverage portion hits the lace. Therefore my areolae peek out into the lace portion quite a bit. -Not quite the right shape, the whole thing is too wide-set for my body (gore, cup placement, strap-from-cup placement). I read that this was small in the band and cups the cups were large probably true to size for 30f but i needed a 30e. The band was more like a loose 28 than a 30. This is the purple wine colorway. I am ordering the half cup to see if I have better luck .
I love this bra... is so beautiful, i have the matching panties and they are soooo pretty and comfortable. The bra is really soft, the band is a true 30 the same with my tanya padded, the difference is that the tanya is size 30 ff, and for error i ordered this one 30 f, and it has only 2 hooks, i guess because the tanya is a cup size ff has 3 hooks, the band feels nice and secure, i like it as much as the tanya. The lift is amazing, it gives a very rounded look, wich i love!! Even though this is one cup ...size down, from my normal size,( i guess for the type of cut in the cups, wich is a balconette) it fits without giving me cuadboob, wich is nice, the only thing is that i feel that my boobs are going to come out in any second if i move too much. The straps are very soft and as with the tanya you can adjust them all the way. I am keeping this one because i love how pretty it is, and because i guess i could say it fits, is not the coverage i like, but it fits.... jajajaja... Very well contructed and sturdy bra!! I'm in between cup sizes 30F/30FF (28FF/28G) because left breast is bigger than right, but this bra feels right in between the 2. Fits great actually. The only downside is that the balconet bra strap style tends to be too close to my armpit and feels weird when I bend my arms inwards...
This and the Freya Faye were my go-to nude bras back when I wore a 30F. The Faye was my favorite because I have moderate projection, but I wore this, the Jeanie, when I couldn't afford to show seams through my shirts. It worked very well and I found the bra very comfortable, just a little shallower than I'd like. At first that was very comforting because it reminded me of the Victoria's Secret bras I used to wear.
Now, this bra is just too small for me. It's still in excellent condition--it's been worn a bunch, so the label is totally ruined, but the bra band remains firm and the construction doesn't seem affected at all. Remarkably sturdy bra.
This and the other one I bought in purple are my new favourite bras! I wore this one for the first time today, and the maiden voyage played out like a dream! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> I was a tad worried that the high gore may rub/poke but so far so good. It was so comfortable, phew.
I love the fact that this bra is everything I hated in bras about 3 years ago (before I started finding my correct size and becoming really interested in lingerie). Its completely unpadded, lacy, pretty full coverage, somewhat sheer (I can see my nips through this colour) AND this ...one is also a fairly close skin-tone match for me.
I feel so much like a retro pin up in this it's amazing! It makes me think of Claudette who I love - I think the shape is very similar to Claudette Fishnet Scoop Neck Bra in that it's almost like a crop top style. I love the smooth clean lines of the straps and the neckline - it's a very basic utilitarian shape juxtaposed with a retro lacy layer over each cup. The design is really knock-out for me. I have never really liked a bra that's similar to my (fairly pale Caucasian) skin tone - but this one is somewhere between the Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte in Peach and Dusky Rose - think I'd call it blush. The actual name is Desert Flower - even this sounds sensuous and beguiling! Swoon.
I purchased it in a wonderful store in Chicago called G Boutique (I was there last week on holiday and did research before visiting so that I could try and snaffle some lingerie delights whilst there!) that I can't recommend highly enough. They don't have a huge selection of fuller bust items (a few Cleo , Panache , Parfait etc.) but what they do carry is very well chosen. The store is beautiful and has a large array of other lingerie/nightwear that is wholly drool-some, like Cosabella , Fleur't , Mimi Holliday , Maison Lejaby etc. I bought the purple bra and matching knickers (and a Parfait cupcake hipster knicker - soooo cute!) and had to go back on my last day to buy this colour way also as I couldn't stop thinking about it! Now on the hunt for the matching knickers as the store didn't have any large ones in.
The shape is gives is beautifully rounded, very naturally so as there's a gentle but not huge amount of uplift. It still gives a more projected and rounded look under clothes than a lot of unpadded bras do on me (I'm looking at you Claudette Dessous ), a very satisfying side view I think.
Wires are gloriously wide. There is absolutely no cutting in or gaping on the top of the cups - not even on my smaller breast which often struggles to completely fill out some of my F cups and usually needs the strap adjusting quite a bit shorter than my other breast to compensate.
I think this is an excellent bra for full on bottom to even boobs. Unsure about how those with upper fullness would fair.
The purple seems to fit a bit more snuggly around band (although will see if that's reflected in measurements when I do them tomorrow) than this one but both are a good firm fit for me. The band has two hooks but feels satisfyingly wide and supportive. There is nothing I don't like about this bra!
Squeeeeee, I love it. It is quite comfy and simple and pretty. It's just the right shape for me, though I don't know enough about breast shapes to offer helpful information. The cup is just a touch large, which is nice when I have breast size fluctuation and other bras are tighter.
Chief complaint is that I would prefer a smoother fabric lining, though the sturdy fabric is not uncomfortably rough.
I shall definitely try more Parfait by Affinitas bras. This is one of my new favorites.
This bra runs small. I ordered a 30F (UK) 30G (US). The fit was ok, except for the top of the cups were gaping a little. It seems maybe 1 size smaller would fit better. This bra is getting returned. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Maybe I will try 1 size smaller because it is a really pretty pink bra and I like the fact that the cups are short instead of tall. Because my torso is very short.
Too shallow at the bottom and wide for me at the gore, though I do like the construction and color. The band is a decent if stretchy 30. Would work far better for someone who is shallow with a short root. The bra seems fairly well made, and the detailing between the cups is pretty. The straps are too wide for my narrow shoulders.
Pretty pinstripe with a neat little bow and pendant (mother-of-pearl facsimile). The bra seems decently made, but wow, the band is tight! I couldn't fasten it without an extender; definitely more like a true 28 than a 30. The cups were decently deep at the bottom, but I still get square boob from the top view (not uncommon, since the Parfait gores tend to be too wide on me anyhow). Not too shabby, otherwise. Cups are nice and narrow, band is firm. The straps are a little thin and wide-set for my liking, but they'd be easy to move. I will be looking for this in a bigger band size.
1) This bra has decorative straps, so you can't adjust the straps past a certain point. The decorative part is very pretty though!
2) Way too shallow cups for me, and yet there is a ton of wrinkling of the outer fabric. I think this may work really well for someone who is heavy on bottom, and about 2/3 my cup size.
Measurements for 30F, in inches: Stretched Band: 29 Band Length: 24.5 Cup Width: 5.5 Cup Depth: 8.75 Wire Length: 9 Cup Separation: 1.125 Gore Height: 1.75 Wing Height: 3.625 Strap Width: 0.5 Hooks: 2
Pros: - Comfortable, breathable foam lined cups. Not so thick or heavy they add bulk. - Boning in side wings. - Rich, dark blue color.
Cons: - Band is quite stretchy, though it measures slightly smaller than most 30's. - Gore is too wide. - Underwires bend awkwardly with little tension. They are a little too flexible and also stretch towards the back too much. - Cups give an East-West-South projection. They also run a bit small for this size by about 0.25-0.5 an inch for cup depth...could be a style matter though, ...these are very plunging cups! - Hook & Eye count is incorrect and should be 3 rows for this size. (HerRoom.com is selling all their Parfaits like this so maybe it's just them, yet in the description they clearly have it written out for sizes what you get: "Hook counts are as follows (3 columns): 2-hook = Cups D, DD, E 3-hook = Cups F, FF, G" ------This is the amount I should have on this bra, and I do not.
I may alter this, or I may send it back. For me, I'd rather have the cups fit than the band because I can always work around that. Read more 107 more words
Measurements for 30F, in inches: Stretched Band: 28 Band Length: 23.5 Cup Width: 5.25 Cup Depth: 9.5 (right), 9 (left) Wire Length: 10.25 Cup Separation: 1 Gore Height: 2.75 Wing Height: 3.625 Strap Width: 0.5 Hooks: 2
PROS: -The fabric is silky to the touch, feels nice against the skin. -The combination of smooth and lace fabric adds a nice touch to keep it simple but elegant. -Band runs smaller than normal - yet not small enough as it still rides up quite a bit on me. -Lightly lined foam cups!!! They are not padded and will NOT add to your size. They measure 1/8" thick, 1/16" thick compressed...you will still have modesty issues in this bra, but it will not feel bulky ...like padding. -Boning in the wings.
CONS: -The right cup (when looking at it) was cut a half inch larger than the left, so the left cup depth is 9". -On top of that, it was sewn poorly as you can see in the photo of the bra's gore. There are wrinkles and puckers on the smaller cup (left) as if it were stretched then bunched to make up for the extra fabric when easing this into the band. -Cups have an unnatural pointy appearance along with curving in too much towards the body. They maintain this shape both on an off. Better suited to those with rock hard boobs. Soft tissue like mine will exaggerate this pointy shape. -Underwires were squared at the gore, bent inwards so that you could feel the edge of the wire instead of the flat part against your skin. -There should have been 3 rows of hooks & eyes for the size I ordered, but there were only 2. It wasn't really an issue since it would have ridden up regardless, but 3 would have been nice.
This is getting sent back without hesitation! The wires were so painful because they were bent in such an awkward way. They also looked like they could pop out of their casing at any moment, and since they could be felt very easily, I think they may have been inserted on the outer portion of the casing. The only reason I listed the gore as digging in was because the wires were doing that, it had nothing to do with the fit being too big or too small. The fabric itself was standing away because the band was still too loose for me. I don't know if I was shipped a bra that had the wires bent by another customer or if they were really supposed to be like that! I'm awaiting the Parfait Jeanie, so I'm hoping that one is a little better. If not, then I'm just going to have to stick with older Deco's from Freya.
I really like this bra! The fit is very near perfect. Underwires follow breast tissue, low gore gives me plenty of options for shirts, nothing pokes or digs!
I like the smooth moulded cups with the hint of lace, very classy!
Construction looks solid. I'm happy to add this bra to my closet!
I really like the snug feeling of the Parfait by Affinitas bras. I think that's part of the reason I keep trying them.
First up, I have altered the wires on this bra - shoved them together, and bent them. The cup now measures 5.5" across, and is closer to 8.5" deep. Fits a lot better! There isn't as much space on the outer side of the cup (obviously), and the depth makes it not gape as much at the top of the cup.
This bra fits really well on my larger side, but I do need a cutlet on the smaller side. Plunges aren't really the right shape for ...my boobs, and I probably would have sized down a cup if I hadn't received this as a present! I think there's enough tissue there, it just isn't in the right spot...
The bra itself is very comfortable. The fabric is really silky (and the matching panties are too - very nice!). The black ribbon will show under thin shirts - both the color and the slight bump of it. It doesn't bother me, but it might some people.
I'd say for my boobs in Parfait, I need to go down a size for the plunges, and either keep this size or go up one for the balconnettes. Bending the wires is a definite yes. I do love the snug band, and I do like the look of the bra under shirts. Read more 132 more words
I don't know how I feel about this bra... it's really cute, but the band feels super tight and feels like it's squishing all my underboob fat. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
You make it sound so wonderful.. *smiling*
