Supportive, plush, 1.2” wide band that runs one/two size/s small. This 32 band stretches to 31” and shallows the bottom of the cup simultaneously. My immediately projected breasts were flattened as the band stretched to 28.5” around my underbust. Size Up. 26” underbusts may fit the 30 band in this model.
Not suited for close-set, center full, immediately projected breasts. The cup was collapsing minutes after fastening the band. My breasts were creeping upward, trying to find more space. Unlike other bralettes, the elastics did not bite into my skin as my breasts moved upward. However, I wore this for less than five minutes. If you have shallow ...breasts, this may fit you well.
Lace fabric is softer than that used in Panache Andorra. It felt comfortable for the few minutes I wore it. The Mulberry color is spectacular and the prime reason I purchased this bralette.
The cup is tall and not a good fit for short-waisted and/or petite bodies. Sigh.
The apex of this bra sits several inches east/west of the apex of my breasts. Consequently, my breasts are smooshed back into my armpits and the bralette’s side boning. Ouch.
Sigh. Center-full and close-set breasts, again, are difficult to fit in today’s bra designs. Read more 95 more words
How awful that it is so tight and not suitable for close set, center full, and pendulous breasts. I know exactly what you mean by the apex issue. I had the same problem with the Freya Daisy bralette. It’s such a beautiful colour though...
I ordered up a band size: Breakout Bras prepared me for the shorter band :-) Great option for some of us :-)
Oh darn! I have admired this bralette in this beautiful color. How disappointing that it wasn't a good fit for you.
I looks super compressing. Yuck.
That is gorgeous, I'm sorry it didn't work for you.
Awe, too bad it wasn't a good fit....It's so pretty. I love that colour.
cupandahalf You called it correctly—“super compressing.” Like usual my tissue was screaming. I immediately wore the Mirity which allows enough space for center fullness and sighed a breath of relief.
I’m perplexed by the major manufacturers and their apparent inability/reluctance to design a bra for center-full and close-set breasts. I live in stretchy off-brand creations from China.
What is the interior structure of this bralette like? Especially the cup "separation" area. Is it just a seam? Are soft center-full boobs just going to spill towards the middle?
"The dainty Charlotte - Frankenbra or manufacturing error?" (a covid-induced review of a misfit bra)
The Parfait Charlotte bra is a very well-known, I'd almost say *infamous* style in the full-bust community. It is currently way past it's heyday, but can still be found in most full-bust online bra stores. Around 2012-2013 however, Charlotte was one hell of a staple style - see the extensive list of bra-bloggers featuring it, at the bottom of this blog review: https://www.sweetnothingsnyc.com/2013/11/18/review-g-style-from-parfait-charlotte-bra-and-high-waist-brief/.
(side note: don't you miss bra bloggers? There used to be so many. Sigh.)
Since I really loved the pin-uppy appearance; I had tried two previous colorways of Charlotte (... class="mentioned-item">32H - Parfait By Affinitas » Charlotte Padded Bra (6901)32GG - Parfait By Affinitas » Charlotte Padded Bra (6901) ) but sadly, had to admit that those didn't really work for me. The construction was really 'industrial' with super thick padding, little projection and verrry wide-set straps. The lack of projection made me size up to unmanageable amounts of bra, with excess material everywhere. If they hadn't been so darn uncomfortable, I honestly could have used them as a sports bra (or body armor, for that matter).
So, for the longest time, it was just on my passive wish list, maybe ending up in an eBay / BraStop basket at some point, but I never really committed to buy - and was definitely never planning on paying anything close to full price.
Fast forward to recently, when I encountered a 32G Floral Shimmer on eBay, for cheap enough that I was willing to take the chance. However, I did notice that one thing seemed off: the ad said it had 2 hooks, in size 32G? The way I remembered Charlotte, she had 3 or even 4 hooks, with a very thick back band overall.
After emailing the seller, they said they checked, and unexpectedly to me (I had ungraciously been counting on an error on their behalf); confirmed that this bra actually had 2 hooks?? This confused me to no end, but also made me curious... Gotta love an experiment. So yes, I bit the bullet and purchased it - and lo and behold, it's such a strange version of Charlotte!?
It did come with tags, that do say Parfait (with the logo and everything), so I don't think it's a fake / copy / rip-off. The fabric and cup construction is exactly as pictured in reviews / other ads.
The fit, as described by BigCupLittleCup / ComicsGirlsNeedBras, is definitely different from the original Charlotte: deeper, with the apex in a different place, more similar to a Comexim plunge construction almost?
But look at those thin and flimsy shoulder straps! (they're only 1,6 cm., even thinner than the 'standard' 1,8 cm. of regular full-bust bras!) That 2x3 hook-and-eye closure! That meshy, stretchy band, instead of industrial harness-like strength!
It's really strange. Like they stuck the band and straps from a 32C onto a 32G? As you can see on both bloggers for this exact bra in 30GG (a sister size to 32G), there should have been much wider straps, more hooks, the works!
The good news: it does fit pretty well! The projection is good for a molded bra, and while the strap placement is still too wide for me, it is much more manageable than the armpit-eater Charlotte of some years back. And while I certainly would have preferred 3x3 hooks in the back, it's not unwearable. The gore is too high for my closeness, yes, but since there is no real tack, it also doesn't poke uncomfortably.
All in all, I think I like it enough to hang onto this version of Charlotte (whereas her super-strength sisters have been long-since discarded/donated): let's just call her unique and dainty!
I'm very curious if this version is around more, and whether it has been a fitting sample experiment, a factory error, or some other malformation? Read more 596 more words
Oh I just referenced Sweet Nothings blog yesterday!! It helped me figure my size in a style, LOL.
Interesting about this bra...you know what I think it is? I think sometimes they manufacture them differently, or they're just trying a few modifications (or something) , and then they end up on the Bay of E.
I just remember BraIHate blog (another legend!!! Very influential) discussing a frankenbra Curvy Kate find on eBay - so I don't think your bra is a knock-off, just probably a different version Parfait made? (like for a particular store, or something, idk) Great find!!
BraOdyssey I have definitely experienced inconsistencies in the manufacturing of this bra. A couple years ago, I had two Parfait Charlottes in 30FF, one in pink and one in bronze -- the same model as far as I could tell, but the pink one had a shorter, smaller cup and the bronze one had a really tall cup and was too big. Very mystifying to me!
I may need this bra in a 32GG, but this one fits my smaller breast perfectly. My breasts feel weightless in this bra - I'm not in any pain! This bra is perfect!
Funny story- I had this shipped to my 82 year old aunt to bring with her from the USA, and she was rather shocked. She called my mom to complain that I had bought "a fancy dress bra" and "a circus bra".
I think what put her off were the rich colours, and the bulk. I love the rich red colour, but I am bothered by the bulk. Despite the Charlotte fitting like a glove, there is no way I'm going to forget I'm wearing it.
I love the shape it gives from both the front and the side, but oddly I'm less pleased with the side silhouette under clothing. ...I think possibly having a different material on the wings and on the cups creates an optical illusion which improved the silhouette when the bra is visible.
The thing that bothers me most about this bra is that although the band is firm and doesn't ride up, and even digs in after a few hours of wear, after a few hours I feel like the front of the bra is sliding down- I keep feeling like I need to pull the bottoms of the cups up to meet the bottoms of my breasts, but in reality there's nothing to adjust. After a few hours of this, the wires also start digging in underneath my smaller boob.
Despite these problems, I still like this bra a lot. My favourite feature is the elaborate construction where the cups meet the straps- it creates a kind of buffer that pushes underarm fat/migrated breast tissue/overdeveloped muscle (whichever it turns out to be) inwards towards the breast and prevents it from showing.
The detailing on the bra will show under very thin tops, but all in all it's quite useful for a "clown bra". Read more 186 more words
Really happy with the fit of the cup...while the band is a bit tight, it's not too tight to be so uncomfortable. It also looks so pretty, with all the lace trimmings and bows, I never thought I'd own a bra of this size that's intricately designed !! Actually really happy about this

There's a lot of powernet in Enora. Cups among the widest I've ever met in this size range, the bottom of the cup is wildly shallow. This spells disaster for those seeking immediate depth as the ...shape suggests the base will give the least, and apex area the most. There is a double lined powernet and smooth micronet band, but there is no wing to add structure and anchor the cups. Not sure how to gauge the 2" give in one size as this style runs tall/shallow/wide and sort of tolerates some projection but not a whole lot. It does bring things in, but feels unsupportive and bulky due to slinky materials and huge underwires on my wide/full on bottom/short shape. However, as with Parfait's Marianne, the armscye is so well shaped that the strap stays up out of the way rather than slip off or dig in; the materials are very sleek and nearly invisible under clothing.
I'm sure this is a wonderful daily driver for a lot of people, but honestly I am so done with wide shallow and frameless styles. To the butcher block. Read more 155 more words
This bra has some down sides and some pluses. Make sure you know your shape before you buy! This bra is good for my very soft breasts as it gives them more shape, and as I am fob it works well for that too. My roots are narrow so the wires are a bit wide for me. Since they are not poking so I will live with it, but the wires are very firm. In the peach colorway mine runs about 1/2 to a full cup size small, so bear that in mind if ordering. The straps are very wide set, and I angle them in a little, but they stay up just fine. Overall this bra has very cute retro styling but it definitely will not work for all shapes.
This was my first experiment with my recommendations on here, and while the bra looked gorgeous I was a little iffy about a 32G instead of my usual 32F. But my other Parfait bras are a bit small in the cup, and this obviously has small cups in general, so I went with it. I shouldn't have.
For reference, I have a narrow root, fairly evenly projected/round (3/5 or 3/6) breasts and center fullness.
Pros: *Like my other Parfait bras, it has the tacking-est gore ever. It might be a smidgen wide for me, but it's amazing how well supported it makes me feel. *The cups are surprisingly sturdy, too, and actually ...encase nearly my whole breast -- probably because I did go up two cups. *I've seen some complaints of nipple slippage, but if you have low nipples like me, I think you'll be plenty secure here. I didn't test it out strenuously, but it seems pretty secure. *Oh, and did I mention that it's gorgeous?
Cons: *The band is very snug. It might stretch out with wear, but it's definitely more snug than I would like. *The wires are a little high (although the cup width is fine) for me, so they do pucker up under my arms. *And like most people have said, the lace bunches up. It's not horrible, since I'm a little fuller on top, but it is pretty bad on my smaller breast. *The straps are too widely set and only partially adjustable. If you're shortwaisted like me and/or have high set breasts (mine are only a smidgen high, but my torso is short period), it probably won't come anywhere near adjusting up enough to support you. I could deal with the other issues, and the lace bunching might even be solved, if the straps adjusted tighter.
Overall, this one is a no for me. It's so pretty that I really want to make it work, but the wires/straps rubbing under my arms and the lack of uplift from the straps keep it from being something I could wear everyday. There's nothing wrong with an, ahem, special occasion bra, but even then, I think I could find a better fit than this. Read more 249 more words
I've re-listed this bra just in case there's anyone here who thinks it will work better for them than it did for me. It really is gorgeous, I can't say that enough!
I did notice that Parfait can run small in both band and cup when I tried it. I know when I suggest it, I generally suggest it to to ladies in the 28-32 DD-F range, and mention they can run small in the band, so this is not surprising - and it looks like you bought a black one - the black dye does make the band run even snugger. It's really not the best brand for narrow/projected. I normally suggest it to ladies with a wide root. It seems to work fairly well for that.
Yeah, I think it's time to accept that no matter how pretty they are, Parfait is just not going to work for me. But you'll have to pry my Charlotte from my cold, dead hands (and anyway, my biggest issue with it is the trim at the top of the cups digging in).
Lol. How many brands have I said that about? :D. Curvy Kate, Panache, etc etc etc etc... Haha. I'd better start learning Polish, if my boobs insist on being this stubborn.
vexingbet My charlotte does the same thing. I've noticed that Parfait usually has the straps too wide set on their bras.
Charlotte is not nearly as bad as Tamara. I mean, look at that! The straps are behind my boobs. It looks silly, lol.
That's usually how it is for me too. :/
vexingbet ,What do you mean by 3/5 or 3/6 breasts? I'm not familiar with this. :0
I got this bra because of the way it makes my boobs what everyone sees and notices the minute I enter a room. Cleavage and uplift I can practically balance a cup on, which the bra provides, was my intention - not everyone looking for a bra is after the same appearance. It is comfortable, the wires are wide which I need, the band is pretty firm in comparison to what the band on the panache styles I have feels like.
What other bras do u have that provide the same uplift and cleavage?
None that create the same uplift and cleavage as this one, although I did decide to sew a different lace from my sewing stash because the lace it has is super flimsy and easy to tear a hole in. I will be adding photos of the upgraded lace on this bra soon.
I'm amazed at how different this new one in black is compared with the beige one I got a couple years ago. Size and measurement-wise they seem pretty similar. The black, however, has different straps: they're prettier, but less stretchy and less comfortable. The black squeaks when I move, a problem I didn't have with the beige version but did have with a different bra by this brand. My biggest problem with the black that I don't get in the beige is that the cups lip out badly and it's very visible under clothing.
This is the exact same bra as the Adore Me Leona DD+.
I had a feeling this wasn't going to fit in the first place, but I didn't give up all hope. Well, as it turns out, it doesn't fit. Oh well. When I first looked at it though, I thought, "Wow, these cups are huge, there's no way..." Color me surprised when I tried it on and it actually had cut into my breast tissue on my larger breast. I'm starting to think Parfait isn't right for me though, which is a bummer, because I like much of their stuff.
The band is quite tight. Stretched, it got to ...32, and I probably could have gotten it longer, but let's say that if you don't like your bands very snug (like I do), then you're not going to have a good time. My measurements are actually 30 under (31 on bigger days) too, so if you are a solid 32 or large 32, you really aren't going to have a good time.
The bottom of the cup isn't filled on me. It's all puckered up, like a molded Panache Porcelain bra I tried on at my not-DD+-friendly Nordstrom Rack. If I adjust myself a bit I can get it mostly filled, but after moving my arms it slides right back into place. The same goes with the cup cutting into my breast. If I push the breast down and to the side a little (where some tissue likely slips out of the cup), it fits in there, but if I ensure nearly everything is in the cup, it cuts a bit. On top of that, the cup is clearly too big on my smaller breast. The gore also doesn't stay flat, but is pushed out because of my breasts. My measurements put me in around a 30GG/30H, but to be honest, I found that to be so unbelievable because a short two months ago I was a 32F. I guess that's tissue migration for you.
The wires are a bit too long on my sides. If they were a centimeter or two shorter, it would probably be fine.
The straps aren't fully adjustable, which I don't care about, but others might. They can be removed though. There is also a silicone strip along the band to hold it in place were you to wear it strapless.
The bra itself is very pretty, very soft, lovely to look at, and comfortable despite it being illfitting. There are some loose threads on it though, namely on the center of the cup and by the hooks, but that's easily fixed (not that it matters anyway). Read more 329 more words
Jeanie compares to the Freya Deco as a seamless molded plunge bra. However, the curve across the top line of the bra seems steeper. There’s also side boning in this model for side support. The fabric is more cottony than that of Deco.
Runs true to size in band, and perhaps a bit small or true to size in cup, Shapewise, they do fit a bit differently, as well. I get quad-boob towards the middle in Jeanie and the cup is pretty tall, so I can’t quite fill it and have some empty space up near the strap. My tissue is rather soft, so that contributes to the ...spillage. I am sure if the black version is tighter than the nude version. Additionally, the side boning can get irritating after a while and probably needs to be ‘broken in.’ At this point, not a replacement for the Deco, more’s the pity- I’d size up in the cup but have hit the end of the size range.
Plain, simple, basic, and goes with my three black tank tops and under any t-shirt. There’s a little heart charm at the bow which is a bit much for me. The shape under clothes is round and smooth, so it works well as a t-shirt bra. Read more 103 more words
I usually wear a 30GG, and the 32G (though it should be the same cup volume) feels about 3 cup sizes too small. It's supposed to be a demi bra, so I don't expect it to come up high, but the top of the cup totally squashes my breast. The lace embroidery on the cups does not have much give. I have top-heavy breasts, so perhaps that's the problem.
The bra is really comfortable, though, and I'd love it if it fit me!
This is strangely fitting bra. One of the tightest bands I've ever encountered--I take a 30 band in Freya and Fantasie, and actually feel like I might need a 34 with this. The cups are too wide for me, and I can't quite fill them on top--yet when I measured the cups, they were considerably shallower than bras that actually fit me. In any case, I'll be returning this one. Ladies who really need a 26 band might consider this bra in a 30 band, though.
I previously ordered this same bra in 30GG, but returned it because I couldn't get the back closed and because the color (Emerald) was more bluish than described and seen in the pictures. I reordered in 32G with a different colorway, and I'm glad I did so. It's a nice cross between cute and comfortable, and it's going to make a great addition to my regular rotation. Fit-wise, I would advise anyone ordering this bra to go one size up in the band from their usual size while keeping the same cup letter.
Might fit TTS in the cup for much more wide-rooted boobs, but for this slightly-narrow gal, it is functionally a cup too small. Alas, Parfait! You're easily available online and I wanna love you but what is with your cups almost always being a size too small?? Wires are not exactly malleable but quite springy and stretchy. Quality rating is downgraded for a defect that mine had with the strap hoop's enamel https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> - otherwise pretty good. Band is extra firm, which probably contributes to the extra width.
This was my first bra ever. Got it at a mall and they didn't have any 30 or 28 bands so I had to get the 32. It feels alright, at least it was the only one that fits me in that shop. In the US, there aren't many shops that sells UK bras, so I had no choice. I however, love this bra, better if it was in the right size, which I am planning to get one online. The padding is very light, like a thin layer of foam in between the cups. The band is wide, which is awesome because it helps you smooth out your back fat. It makes you look awesome too https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I would totally recommend this.
This bra no longer fits well - it causes pain if I wear it (as in "I'm feeling squeezed" pain).
The band has stretched out since I purchased it - I wore it on the loosest hooks when I bought, and can now wear it on the tightest after six weeks. It's too small in the cup, and I tend to fall to the center in it. The straps are a little too widely-set, so I get rubbed a bit along the armpits, and the underwires are a little on the stretchy side.
Those are the cons. The pluses? Because it's a plunge, I can get by with wearing it. The low center gore is comfortable, as higher gores tend to be too separated for my body. The band, while stretchy, has enough give to hold the bra on. The foam isn't as thick as compared to other padded bras. It has a nicely rounded shape under clothes. I also own a Freya Deco (30GG), and find this to be much more comfortable.
How awful that it is so tight and not suitable for close set, center full, and pendulous breasts. I know exactly what you mean by the apex issue. I had the same problem with the Freya Daisy bralette. It’s such a beautiful colour though...
