I'll probably not write a full blog review of this top as I'm going to list it after finishing this short review. I've been on a desperate search for a white halter bikini top to wear with my Lilly and Lime bottoms, and when I saw this one on sale on Asos I gave it a shot. Partly because it was the only white halter available anywhere I could find, I was that desperate, and partly to satisfy my own curiosity about Pour Moi's swim tops. How bad can they *really* be?
I've always heard PM tops run small so initially ordered a 32F, which swiftly ...got exchanged because it was enormous in every possible way. Despite still not fitting, this top wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The material is sturdy and soft, and the white is definitely NOT see through when wet. The wires are narrower than I thought they'd be. The band is TTS and the cups run big. Really, they do. Maybe not all PM tops do, but the Splash halter top runs big. I probably could have done a 30E in it. They are too tall for my shorty short boobs at 6.25" tall and there's noticeable gapping on both sides. The ruffle trim at the top kind of hides it, but not really. So either it runs big or I've shrank a lot more than I thought I had.
The cups are molded and have graduated push-up padding in the bottoms, which is less thick than, say, department store push up padding. Naturally this makes the cups too shallow for me, but again - my standards for bikini tops are lower than bras. Everything seems very sturdy and well made, and if you are a large 30F or a 30FF looking for a va-voom sexy swim top that'll match any pair of bottoms, this is your jam. Unfortunately for me, it was just too big to be workable. Read more 232 more words
Well, I had not been active for a long while. These days I'm preparing my graduation of bachelor so I'd like to seek a multiway/strapless bra to fit my dress for the graduation party.
My shape: slightly projected close boobs with tall roots. Common strapless bras with those big center gores can make me feel quite uncomfortable. However, the measurements of this Devotion Bra that were provided by someone here really inspired me. I decided to start with size 30F. The center gore of it is just like a regular bra, but with the relatively shallow cups, it still can't lie flat on my ribcage.
I'll switch to 32F then. I guess the band of 32F can be a little bit too loose for my optimal size of strapless bras, but maybe the problem can be solved if I wear it on the last column of hooks. I don't need a very long lifespan of strapless bras. I wear them almost just for the party.
This is definitely too small for me in the cups, but it's been my favourite bra for ages for a few reasons:
- It's the lowest coverage I've found from a UK brand in its size - I feel a bit frumpy or caged-in in most other 30Fs I've tried, but with this, the cups and side panels aren't so tall, which also means it doesn't dig into my armpit like most bras do! - The top edge of the cup is really open so it can accommodate some extra volume with no cutting in at all - The wires are really firm so they don't stretch out at all when ...you put the bra on, and they lay flat against my sternum despite the cups being too small. - The gore is the perfect height: it's supportive without digging in at all, and without compromising the low coverage - The gore is really narrow - the underwire channels are immediately next to each other at the top - The wires are amongst the narrowest I've found in my size range typically available in the UK - still not as narrow as I need, but way better than everything else I've tried from Figleaves, and MUCH narrower than the only other Pour Moi I've tried, 30F - Pour Moi » Amour Padded Bra (1500) - The straps are the perfect width apart for my small frame - It's still in brilliant shape after 18+ months of near-daily wear (it's been my only wearable bra for so long!) and has even survived several machine washes (I know I shouldn't!) - it's still super supportive and the band is still snug. I'm amazed really.
The one thing I dislike about it - and I've never come across this with another bra - is that it creaks. All. The. Time. Weird, I know. I'm not even entirely sure which bits of it are creaking, but they continue to do so with every move I make, even after the aforementioned 18+ months of wear and machine-washing!
Unexpected audio aside, I reckon this is a really good choice for someone looking for low coverage, narrow(ish) wires and a narrow gore. And the more I think about it, the more I'm amazed at the value given how much wear I've gotten out of it - it's still going strong, too!
This bra is close to working. For my shape, it seems to be too full on bottom because it wrinkles underneath but gives quadboob up top. The wires and gore are both a little wide, which is normal for my close set and narrow boobs. The wires also sit below my IMF no matter what I do. It’s still comfortable and supportive enough to stay in rotation.
I am not sure if this fits. I get a tiny bit of overspill, but not as much as usual and i am conceeding that it is probably nearly impossible for me to get a bra that fits in general and doesn´t have any quad boob. This is a full cup shape so very different to what i am used to. I think because it is full i don´t bet too much spillage because the front-middle of my breasts where i am fullest is mostly enclosed. However, although in other bras i have more quad boob i don´t really mind sometimes as i sometimes think it ...still looks ok, ie sometimes it just looks like cleavage even though it is probably actually a bit small! But in this i get less quad boob but i think it looks a bit weird like becaudse it is full cup it seems weirder that there is still spillage (I can´t really explain this...).
It is ok in the body I can wear on the middle hook, although i can comfortably wear on tightest too.
I really like the pants that match too. Read more 82 more words
This Bra fits like a 28F. The cups are not only not deep enough for me but also are too closed causing a lot of quad boob. The gore is too wide but the height is okay. I like the embroidery on cups, how its just a flower here and there. The embroidery on the top and band area is too busy and looks childish.
Most comfortable and well fitting bra I've bought so far! Granted, there's still plenty I haven't tried. There's just the slightest wrinkling at the top of the cup (where the straps meets it), but it's so minor that I forgive it. The band and underwires are very comfy, and the higher gore is something I really like.
Most padded bras I have tried left me feeling confined or with empty cups so I am trying more unlined bras. It fits for the most part. I still have wrinkles by the top and it also cuts into my tall roots. There is also not quite enough immediate depth at the wire so there is some wrinkling in the bottoms of the cups. The gore is way too tall but is thin so I can wear it for most of the day. When I am wearing the bra my breast push the wires together causing them to overlap slightly. I may alter it later to be more over lapping. It looks smooth under clothes and the bottom fabric is 2 layers so it hides my nipples. I like the pin-striping details and I would love it more if it was gray and some other color like dark violet/blue/green.
This bra is beautifully embroidered, but it's way too small for me. I usually wear 30F/30FF in Pour Moi, but this one is way smaller than the Promise line from Pour Moi that fits me.
I bought this as my "nude" bra, and it really is a perfect match for my skin tone. Details I like are the ballet slipper-like ribbons lining all the edges, and the way the cup itself isn't boring while still being pretty subtle.
The band is spot on for me, so it might run a touch loose for other people. The top edge of the cup digs in, but I can't tell if that's a problem with the bra shape vs. my boob shape, or if I need a cup size bigger.
Very pretty. Gives a rounded, kind of minimized shape. I especially like the corsety ribbon detail at the front. Bottom decoration looks like it might flip up a little with wear. Pretty much the right size, maybe a touch small in the cup (I'd prefer the center gore to sit more directly on my sternum).
ETA: Definitely too small. The underwires pinch and cause me pain if I wear it for too long. I'll still wear it though, since there are ways to work around the pinchiness.
It's quite pretty, and VERY cheap right now. The band is a bit on the smaller side: I have a (bony) 26 2/3" snug underbust and usually wear a 28FF, and I'm okay with it. The cups are somewhat projected and felt like they were on the narrower side for UK bras. I'm extremely close-set (~2 mm between my breasts while wearing a bra), so I wish the gore were lower/narrower, but it should work for people who are somewhat close-set. It's shame that it seems to be discontinued! If you're somewhat projected and narrow, and like foam bras with a little push-up, see if you can grab one while they're still available, especially since they're only £6!
Very pretty bra, and the band is quite firm. I believe the volume of the cups are true to size or slightly small, but they are extremely wide and shallow, which makes them fit much smaller. On me, the straps are much too wide-set and the cups are very stiff. It makes it not really alterable or wearable.
It's seriously padded, ridiculously so. I'd say it fits at least a full cup size smaller than an F, possibly two. It's either that, or a serious case of shape incompatibility. It also has the widest wires...they almost wrap around my back! They're also always riding right up my boobs uncomfortably. The band is nice and snug, though despite this, the gore doesn't tack. Additionally, the top of the cup reaches right up into the crevice of my armpit and digs in painfully (I'm quite petite though, so maybe this wouldn't be the case with someone of an average build?)
A gorgeous bra, but definitely not the one for me!
This bra is really pretty, and none of the pictures I've seen show it - it's pink silk inside with a black lace layer over the top. I found it really comfortable for the most part.
The cups are really shallow, so this doesn't fit me well, the straps are also a little far apart for my liking.
There is some bunching going on with the cup above the horizontal seem as well, and a bit of quad boob going on.
Gives good cleavage and roundness of breast. Maybe order a size up though. It's called "padded" but it's actually a push-up. There was a cute bow in the back which is partially why I bought it in the first place. But after I didn't need the bow anymore I ended up cutting the bow off so I could wear the bra under clothes.
You sound like you might be a good candidate for comexim!
