This is one of my favorite bras. It's super supportive, the gore tacks firmly and the straps don't shift around on your shoulders. People have suggested sports bras to me in the past but many of them don't have underwires, so they usually aren't supportive enough. This has one, and it's cushioned so you can wear it for hours and move around a lot without any discomfort. It would be ideal for a bustier woman to wear for exercise. And as a guy with gynecomastia, one of my favorite things about this bra is the sillhouette of the straps and cups under a shirt. It's not obvious at all, and pretty much looks like an undershirt.
Wireless Sports bras tend to hold everything together by compression, so they are minimizing and tighter than a normal bra. This is often not comfortable for many, but sizing up to lessen the compression loses support. Darned if you do, darned if you don't, right?
I am glad this one works well for you. A good sports bra is not an easy find!
I guess that explains why sports bras always feel either too tight or just totally useless. I've only tried two others, and they weren't much help. This one is great though. It says "doesn't fit" in my review, but it does fit. I was just nitpicking about the cups. If you're on the cusp between cup sizes, don't go a size bigger with this bra.
You can override the fit vs doesn't fit by choosing the "continue to personal assessment " option at the bottom of the fit set page. It has yes/ no options for each area to mark if you feel the fit issue is a problem or not, plus a comment box for you to add your personal assessment if desired. My bras never tack, but if it's within a 2 finger range off my sternum and the bra is otherwise comfortable/fits, I override the tack to not be an issue. Fit is a matter of personal interpretation and Comfort is key!
Yes or no on bralettes? No support but for around the house or even to wear over a regular bra for the strap embellishments why not? I do get a slight lift from the straps but not nearly enough for wearing all day. Nice for sleeping in as well! This one is from Torrid and I like it enough to keep it!
Shall I do measurements? Would they be useful...no hooks, no stretch per se although I can get it around my 39" underbust fine and the cups are big enough to cover my FF chest size. I did say it fits despite there not being a gore for instance.
Wearing this throughout the day my breasts do become uniboob and I do get some upturn on the band in the front which is typical for my pear shape anyways. Other than that, it is better than wearing nothing at all and I will find uses for it.
I love the straps! Glad it fits well enough to keep. Yay!!
Looks comfortable. I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of it!
Looks great on you! I read a lot of good things about Torrid bralettes, would be nice if they delivered also internationally
Thanks for posting. I've been wondering whether to try a wireless bra for sleeping. It looks fairly comfortable. How does the material feel when you wear it for a few hours? Is it like a the materials used for stockings and leggings?
vrwriter The material is 90% nylon 10% spandex which reminds me of some bra bands. As to personal feel, I can wear it all day without it feeling scratchy or uncomfortable so I do think sleeping in it would be fine. As long as you don't have an allergy to these materials it should be okay for all night wear. I was fine wearing it all day for 8-10 hours.
42C. I like that I get some cleavage when wearing this bra. However, I can also see that it....doesn't fit. If I just put it on, it's ok, but if I REALLY scoop and swoop, it is clearly not. Also I realized today (duh) that it is giving me red marks about an inch UNDER my breast line. I am thinking that's because my breasts are too large for this so they're pushing down on the band, which is hitting at a wider part of my torso. I will say that I tried on the D a few months back -- I usually just do a quick scoop and jiggle (ha) and definitely felt the cup was too large in the D. I would probably have a different opinion now that I know about really scooping and swooping.
I think you can get a much more comfortable and supportive fit. You may have to do some trial and error with fittings, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. The calculator here gets more accurate the more bras you put in, but if you check out Reddit's "Abrathatfits" (A bra that fits), they have a sizing calculator that gives a good starting point for the size you may need.
This bra is adorable, but never fit me because I didn't know my measurements and guessed https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> It has never been worn.
I like that this one doesn't poke me in the armpits, but the support stinks because the band is SO stretchy. It doesn't help that I'm not a 38 at all. This band in a 34, and a bigger cup would work fine for the stretch. I like the very round cup shape and the demi is perfect for my FOB. It rounds me out nicely and disappears under sheer shirts. Too bad it's not a well-fitting bra! If I could reproduce this bra in my own size, I would.
This bra honestly fits so close to what I want/ need? The gore sits flat, but the wire comes up too far into the arms. My breasts feel pretty supported, but still seem too full at the top
Torrid Wireless Push-up bras are my absolute favorite wireless bras. I own 5 different colors/patterns in this style lol. This lace one is so pretty. It’s more of a coral color than pink, but I think I actually prefer that. This bra is so comfortable and surprisingly supportive. It gives a lot of lift and cleavage. It’s also really well made and super soft. I often find lace to be itchy but this lace is very soft and comfy.
This got matched as the 360 Tshirt bra, but it's actually the 360° Back Smoothing™ Lightly Lined Wire-Free Bras I have, and I'm not sure how to change that? It was kind of a last resort after so many painful gore problems, and I've been living in them since. Comfort is great without the wires while not doing anything that's going to get me particularly sweaty. The look is passable? Not the best silhouette since the support is a bit lacking and the band is probably still a bit too big for me. But it doesn't leave me with painful indentations, and the ...fabrics Torrid uses are fun prints and they're pretty cheap and pretty decent quality. Since there's not really a lot of structure, I find even the smaller sizes don't give me too much trouble with indents, and I'm still wearing a few that are technically too small in the cup (but better fit in the band at 38DDD). I do wish there was some cup separation though since if I do end up doing a lot of activity, it feels kind of gross. Read more 85 more words
This is the white colorway of Torrid's U-back longline bralette. It's made of a soft non-scratchy white floral lace backed with powermesh. All the elastics are covered and non-irritating to me. This bralette is a triangle-cup style shaped by side ruching and a single center seam. The straps adjust only halfway: the front is a decorative lacy elastic and the back is standard bra strap elastic.
Unstretched, the straps measure about 15.5", counting the small triangle-shaped portion in back. The band measurement listed here is what I got by stretching the doubled band and multiplying by two. When I performed the standard stretch fabric percentage test, I got ...a result of around 50% stretch, which could bring the underbust measurement as high as 52". This is a comfortable band, but not a supportive one.
Torrid's bralettes are definitely sturdier and more effective at containing my bust than the other retail brands I've tried so far. However, they are engineered for a much different bust to underbust ratio, so I have my choice between a 3 (band too loose, bra covers breasts but support is all in the straps) or a 2 (band a little loose, but chest is overflowing both under the arm and in the center). Nevertheless, on a day when I can't handle a bra, I still wear these around for a few hours at a time. For people with a larger or less squishy ribcage than mine, these bralettes could be really comfortable - my partner, who has a large ribcage with a wide, shallow bust, fits them almost perfectly. Had to go up a cup to a DDD in this bra my normal size iam a DD. Great bra to wear around the house has no support the girls bounce to much. The nipples show to much for any outside wear
I can wear this bra all day long. It's the only bra that I feel comfortable wearing at home on a lazy day, on adventures with a friend, or even date night with my sweetie. I hope @Torrid makes this in every color, material, and print and never stops.
This is the only lined bra I own despite that it is pretty comfortable. I got it due to it being strapless so I could wear it under a dress. The band is pretty loose so I recommend going one band size down as I did with mine if you don't plan on using the straps as a racerback. Its pretty supportive even without the straps due to the wide band.
This is my favorite bra for everyday wear. The only issue I have is the underwire is a tad high under the arms. Since I've lost weight this band size is now a bit too big, but it is still supportive enough that I wear it very often. My second oldest bra: close to four years old and the only age it shows is some pilling on the lace.
Definitely a boob hat. The underwire floats almost two inches under my inframammary fold and the underwire edge (under arm) is so wide it actually digs into my arm! When I hold the underwire in place I fill the cups very nicely, so it's possible that a smaller band size might work, but the underwire still digs into my arm.
Bought this to wear under my strapless wedding dress. It fit relatively well then, but I have since lost weight and the bandsize is now too big. Underwire doesn't stay in the inframammary fold (drifts down by about half an inch) and the band starts to ride up on my back. Top edges of the cups fold outwards which makes the stay-put strip float with no tissue contact. Underwires dig into my armpits, which is probably the thing I hate most with poorly fitting bras. This one is going to be given away; despite the usefulness of a strapless bra, I won't wear something that fits this poorly and has so many comfort issues.
This is a leisure/sleep and low impact sports bra for me.
In wired bras, I prefer Panache brand in a 36J/JJ. Getting it over my chest is a bit tough, but once on it is very comfortable and compresses my tissue fairly well although the band does ride up a bit. I kinda want something a bit bigger in the cup and snugger in the band, although for that to happen it would probably need to open and close in back. This covers and constrains well enough, definitely more snug than Torrid’s stretch lace and mesh bralettes I have tried. (Those almost fit in the cup but ...are much too loose in the band to provide a level of light support I am comfortable with.) While it does not provide the lift, separation and shape I get from my wired bras, it looks better than going without a bra and is comfortable for leisure and light sports like yoga. It is well made, with a double layer of stretch fabric and pretty lace on the sides of the cup and the racerback style back. Read more 77 more words

I am glad this one works well for you. A good sports bra is not an easy find!
