I have gained a few pounds and my outer breast tissue required more space than the 34DD How Perfect Wire Free could provide. This is an effortless bra to wear and provides more support than most of the wireless options I've tried so far on my 300+ bra journey. This band, on the tightest setting, provides admirable support on my 28" underbust. Because I'm short-waisted, there is a bit of empty space near the strap, but I'm comfortable in the bottom of the cup. The cup is 1/2" too tall, but I'll suffer the tall cup for this level of comfort. Finding enough space in the bottom is always a challenge in wireless bras.
The shape under thin knits is pleasantly round. And, nipples are protected by a sufficient amount of lining. However, prominent nipples may be visible.
This is my 5th Wacoal How Perfect Wire Free Bra. Although it 's not ideal for close-set, center-full breasts, it is better than most. Sigh.
I tried this bra on a whim; it looked so pretty and a bit retro on the hanger so I had to try it.
Appearance wise, this bra is very pretty! It has lace accents along the top of the cup as well as on the bottom portion of the band. The remainder of the fabric has a pattern to it; it's not solid. All in all, very pretty bra. Under clothing, I get a nice natural profile. The vertical seam is visible under tighter tops.
I tend to run in between sizes so I tried on a 34DDD. It seemed to fit well in the store but as I ...wear it a bit I realize I should have sized up in the cup.
First thing to note - the band runs small. When I measured the stretched band for Bratabase, I could only get to 33" -- and I think I might have distorted the wires a bit. There are 3 hooks so the bra does feel very secure.
There is a small, clear bit of elastic that runs across the top edge of the cup. I have very firm tissue so this doesn't impact me but if you have soft breast tissue, I could see this bit of elastic cutting in even if the cup volume is correct.
The gore is very close and has a slight separation at the top. This upper split portion of the gore doesn't sit flat against my body; it is pushed outward -- not so much it shows through clothing. To be honest, I am not sure if is supposed to because of the design of the gore. When I push to gore down flat, I get quadding in the cup. I suspect I should've gotten a 34G instead. Still, the bra is wearable and I'd like to try it again in a cup size up. Read more 203 more words
A pretty good fit for a t-shirt bra, and it is very comfortable. The cup size fit well when I bought it, but since being pregnant is now too small. It has a slight minimizing/east-west effect that I don't love. The gore was short and narrow enough for my close set girls, and the wires were narrow enough as well.
The elastic and band tension are nearly identical. This creates a unified force that is supportive, smooth, and comfortable. Please note the stretched band length. This band was supportive on my 28.5" underbust.
Ideally, this bra is for shallow, wider breasts. Average projected breasts may find the cup depth acceptable. And, the push-up pads do move tissue toward the center. If you are center full like me, you may need to reverse swoop and scoop to reduce quadding.
I wanted to modify this bra (narrow gore and bend wires to increase projection), but the underwire poked into my lymph nodes. Sigh. My short-waisted physique does not allow room for tall wing wires.
Aside from the tall-ish underwire, this is a very comfortable bra.
I wanted a comfy wire-free bra for a change and snagged this one off of eBay.
The band, for a 34, is snug and firm. I suggest sizing up from your usual band size. The cups fit perfectly and are surprisingly supportive for a bra with no wires. An aspect of this bra i love is the strap placement - it isn't in the armpits, LOL. One possible negative is this bra is more of a full cup style; it will show under low cut tops.
One big plus - this bra is super SOFT! I believe it is a brushed cotton.
Appearance wise - it's a very basic looking bra but what it lacks in appeal it makes up for in comfort.
I have found Wacoal DD+ minimizers and functional bras top of the line but large and near as ugly as a Bali Flower and I'm always grateful that the company offers a nice range of options for DD+. Sadly, I've not been impressed: most quickly lose all support even when well cared for. I purchased the Arabeque on sale when in need of a black bra that was both full coverage w/o "full granny"and this bra was quite a surprise. The high quality mesh-lace cups are seamed and unlined offering great support without excess fabric or seat belt sized straps. I've worn this bra quite a bit and now on my 5th month it is holding shape. The only downside is the bra is that the fabric can be stiff and scratchy on first wear which is easily countered by a good fabric softener hand wash and air dry pre-wearing.
I now know this is a horrible fit for me, but this was the very first bra that fit better than the 36D's I'd been wearing. I'd never worn full coverage bras before and didn't know if it was normal to have a tiny amount of spillage in the center. The fitter at Dillards assured me the fit was fine and I ended up buying 2 of these and another similar style bra! I'm still a newbie but I know now that quadding and a gore not tacking is due to underwire sitting on breast tissue. As ill fitting as it is, this is such a comfortable bra. It has an uplifted, gently pointed shape and it covers all your breast tissue so there is zero movement.
I don't generally buy unlined bras because of the prominent nipple problem. However, this bra just might have swayed my opinion. I have a pretty projected shape and molded cups are often problematic because they squish my boobs down in unflattering ways. This one fits in all the right places-- the wire sits at the root and it gives nice lift and shape. Appearance only gets a "Good" just because of the aforementioned nipple issue, but this is only an issue with thin tees-- I'll have to find some pasties to deal with it!
Note: the band is initially tight-- it took a couple of weeks before it stopped chafing uncomfortably. I had to fasten it on the very last hooks/ use a band extender. But now that it's stretched, it's a perfect fit all around!
When I was finally fitted for a bra, this bra along with a few others I bought fit comfortably, one of the first times I had truly experienced that with a bra. However, as my breast tissue has migrated, it no longer fits. I now wear a bigger cup and smaller band. Wacoal no longer has any bras in my size, otherwise I would get one in this style. There were times when I would forget I was even wearing a bra while wearing this.
The fully adjustable straps are a godsend as I have a more petite torso. Most of the time bra straps are too long, making the bra droop.
For those with this size, I highly recommend this bra.

Gave a really wide appearance and didn't offer phenomenal support - pretty average "department store bra" look. Underwire popped out within a month of wearing.
I have this bra in black. I have to say that it is the ugliest bra I've ever owned, but it gets the job done. Since the wires and strap adjusters are on the outside, it looks like it's inside out. I only wear it under other shirts and not as a top on its own.
Fit Notes:
I did have to get a different size than I usually wear, up 1-2 band sizes, down 1-2 cup sizes. Most of the bras that fit me well are 30G, and I have one 32H. This one is a 34DDD. At first I had it on the loosest setting, but ...after few wears, I'm onto the middle set of hooks. This seems to be an issue with me and Wacoal bras.
It also comes up really high on me in front, but I'm only 5'1/2", so that's not unusual for me in a full-coverage bra.
I do use it exclusively as a sports bra, for strength training, walking, yoga, Pilates, etc and it supports and separates well enough. There is a little jiggling/movement, but nothing that is uncomfortable or inappropriate. Just but the totally locked down feeling of some sports bras.
I do wish the cups were a bit more discreet. My nipples and nipples piercings show, even with a shirt on.
Overall this bra is functional, but nothing more. It was the only one I could get right away, so I took it, but there has got to be something better out there for me. I'm looking. Read more 149 more words
This provides fabulous support. I think it runs tight in the band, but I know it will stretch. It also fits perfectly. I do wish it wasn't quite so "big" looking, but it is a sports bra.
