I bought this bandeau because I own one already in 30FF and found the fit to be more supportive than any other bandeau bikini I've tried on. Seeing as that the band was a bit loose on the 30FF, I decided I could try the 28G. I couldn't be more wrong on my assumption.
The 28G fits nicely in the band, however, the problem arose when I calculated the total bust perimeter. In losing band length, I effectively reduced the total bust perimeter. The cup volume on a 28G/30FF are clearly 1-2 sizes too small, but what made the 30FF tolerable was the fact that the band could compensate ... a bit for the lacking cup depth. If this bandeau was made in 28H, I think I would be confident to swim in it.
Regarding the construction of the bikini top, the cups are padded with foam so you needn't worry about getting cold and poking through. The gore doesn't really tack since it's over an inch wide, but I'm wondering if this is just the way it's supposed to fit. I have some fullness in the centre which results in the wires pressing down on my inner boobs. The band fastens with a single snap closure in the back. Other than the fact that I'm sized out of this bikini, I do really admire the construction and look of this bikini. Like many full bust women here, the bandeau style has eluded me for a great part of my adult life. I will keep chasing this dragon until I catch it.
