I saw a Tango Balconette in my size on ebay for very low price. Now I'm thinking about if I should give it a chance again... The only Panache bras that worked for me were Andorra & Jasmine so far. But the tango wasn't that bad.
I had 2 Tangos in 32H (too small now) and I found them very supportive when they fitted me.
But I'm afraid that now in my current size (30JJ) the wires will be much too wide and come too high under the arms.
So try it or add it to my "never-again"-list?!

lol, we're on the same paige again :) I was thinking about tango too - I never tried one because I've read it made boobs pointy - but it didn't look pointy on you. I'm not worried by wires end empty fabric on the bottom and sides, I'm just affraid it would cut in at the top as it doesn't seem to have much give? o.O
I'm not sure If I should get it in 30JJ or 30K...
jeah it was not that pointy on me but a more east-westish - natural shape than the Cleos or Jasmine give me but nowhere as pointy as freya or a too small curvy kate.
And it was really supportive. When I first wore one I felt soo good. The band is also quite firm and broad (definately back fat minimizing) and it has boning in the band which makes it even more stable (and prevent wires from disorting)
I've been thinking lots about Panache bras recently, because I'm almost sized out of Cleo and have too keep other options in mind.
I looked at Panache Fern, Ariza and Tango. The Fern seems to be not so popular -there are hardly any reviews & I don't like the patterns it comes in. Ariza I never liked, although it really looks good on BumbleBean.
Tango is the best out of them I think.
The cup edge is really tight on the Tango - almost like Alana (but I'd say a bit less) that's why I'm thinking about a 30K too.

Well, this is my quest for better fitting bras. I just registered yesterday and took my measurements. It looks like I'm not too lost with my real size - but I might need to upgrade a cup size and be extra careful with band size - many of my bras initially fit but after the band stretches there is not ... much support left.
The problem is that I would prefer mostly minimizing profile. I would love to keep my breasts slightly separated (as they are) and not to lift them too much - my decollete looks pretty nice with beautiful bone structure and I don't think lifting my breasts to reveal some cleavage does it any good. The separated and rather flat look is more sleek and stylish - and makes my clothes to fit better.
Currently I'm mostly rotating two minimizer bras, another from Maidenform, another by Triumph. At home I prefer just simple soft bras that offer hardly any support, American Apparel mesh bras are surprisingly good for bigger chest - at least the boobs stay in the cups (a huge problem with most soft triangle bras and soft, large breasts... ...they just don't stay in the bra...).
My bra size is very probably around 70-75E-F. I have been wearing mostly D-cups so far, and I think that they are just tad too small. But we'll see. The band size has been usually 75, and sometimes that is OK, sometimes it is too loose after the band stretches. I'm ashamed to admit that I have upgraded often to 80 or 85 just to get larger cup from a model I like - that is all too much and does not support at all. I could also go through all my current bras - and modify those that have hope.
Currently I'm waiting for two new bras from Figleaves.com - a strapless one (I really need a fitting one) and one I have high hopes for...
I'm not huge fan of lacy, frilly styles. I would love my bras transparent and lightweight - but that is a difficult style for my chest size. So I mostly turn to simple, sleek styles. I would love my bras completely without padding - but can accept thin, t-shirt bra style padding. The nipplegate scandals are ridiculous, IMHO - why all that fuss about natural part of mammal anatomy... For special occasion I likes me some straps...

You will not find many minimiser lovers here - most of us believe they are unhealthy as they generally go against the natural shape of the breast smooshing them down. SO, it's not just that we want that "in-yor-face" look per se :)
Anyway, some well fitting bras will support the breasts as well as visually make them smaller so keep an eye out for reviews like that.
You can start bratabasing by measuring the bras you own here. A good start would be asking for fitting help - even if you think a bra fits, it is always good to have a second (and a third) opinion :)

It is not as I would like to squished all flat - but they are naturally placed quite low - and I don't want as much lift as many bra models tend to deliver. For me it feels very unnatural to lift them high up to the cleavage.
I'm amazed about the good amount of information and helpful reviews, I'm definitely planning to contribute as well!

So, I received the 42J PL Burgund that Bra Nightmares sent me; I put it on and all sorts of crazy things were going on. (1) the center gore did not sit flush at all. There was enough room for 2-3 fingers between the wires and my body, (2) I could immediately tighten all the way in on the hooks, ... (3) the cups did not feel secure and I was still quite jiggly. Also, still some armpit "fat" I guess.
I know a handful of people suggested that I size up in the cups from my 40Js that I got in the Stalowka and the Karmelki. But, as the 42J should - technically - be the same cup size as a 40JJ, I don't know that the next cup size up would work (and it could be possible that EM bras aren't perfect for my shape). I actually really love the fit of my 40Js, and they make my boobs look AWESOME.
So here's the comparison measurements.
Stalowka: cup width - 9", cup depth - 15.4", wire length - 15", stretched band - 39"
Burgund: cup width - 9.3", cup depth 15.5", wire length - 14.5", stretched band - 41"
Could it really be the difference in the cup width that is causing the problem???
I want to order the PL Ametyst, and I was thinking of ordering it in either the 40J or the 40JJ, but I'm just not sure.

In my last adventure I talked about the weird shape the Cleo Natasha gave me when I tried on three different sizes at Nordstrom; 36GG, 34GG, and 36FF. First of all the Natasha ran huge. While my 34GG Freya is a little too small, I had a ton of loose fabric in the 34GG Cleo. But the 36FF which fit ... a lot better size-wise gave me a shape like this in the cups: http://i.imgur.com/zbjoZ.png
I've since been looking at pictures here on bratabase, and noticed that I'm not the only one that gets this in Cleo bras. It's not really bad in most, but take a look:

I think the problem is that, at least on me and some others, the sides aren't nearly as compressed near the root as they should be for what Cleo is trying to do. Cleo balconettes like the Zia, Natasha, and Meg are trying to put the breasts front and center, but they just make me look like I have a triangle coming out of my chest. And with a pointed in shape like that, to get the shape I got with the Natasha, all you have to do is give any pull to the straps, and suddenly you have that odd wavy shape from the fabric digging in in a direct line below the straps instead of an overall pulling in of the sides.
I'm not sure whether going down a cup size would change that, or whether it's a soft breast issue or what, but I think Cleo balconettes just aren't going to work for me.

My Sasha and Alexa look like the one on your drawing with black and red lines. Both look like black drawing and I don't see anything wrong with it. But when I pull the straps it still looks the same, there is no digging in.
My breasts are very soft and love Cleo balconnetes.
Ps.I had a look on my boobs (I'm wearing Alexa today) and I can see this look you are writing about - but only on smaller boob.But it still looks ok IMO:)
I'm not sure what advice I can give, maybe t maja or Vee will have one.
Interesting. I get the same effect in my Panache Andorra and I've been thinking along the same lines as you have: the 'side support' isn't drafted 'flat' enough near the root. I haven't really seen the odd shape mentioned by others but you, but I also wonder whether it is a breast shape/condition issue. My breasts are naturally a little bit like that -- wide-ish, shallowish root topped with a puffy areola -- but they are considerably smaller than yours, so now I'm not sure that's the real reason I get this odd shape in Andorra. Curious to see what others have to say about it ...

I am really disapointed, because I need shallow and wide cups, but only the size 32D have this shape. The 30F have narrower and deeper cups. Why ?
Other thing, is the 30 band is as long as the 32. Again, why ?

A 70D should in general have narrower and deeper cups than a 65F. First of all, the 65F should have larger cups overall as it is one size up from a sister size, but also, the average shape of a 65F is different from a 32D. Most brands ignore this difference, but in general, the smaller the cup the wider and shallower it needs to be...
Just annoying when one is so used to companies using sister sizing with identical cups and then someone doesn't do it. :(
Ah ok, if I understand well, this company don't do the same shape for all cup sizes, because they try to follow the average shape of woman who need a paricular size. Average shape in 70d is shallow and wide, but average shape in 65F is more narrow and deep. Is it it ?
(It's good for "average", but not for me alas...)

Bought a Fantasie Paige on 34FF - and it's big in both cups and band! It's the second large bra I buy (the first was a strapless Deco, but those do run large in the cups). I'm thinking maybe my size is changing. I mean, my Curvy Kate/Flirtelle bras still fit in 34FF, but maybe I have to try other sizes in different brands... which sucks, because returning international orders is quite expensive.

In my experience Curvy Kate and Flirtelle runs on the small side so you will most likely find that you need to size down in other brands. :( Especially Fantasie which seems to even run big on some.
If you can, try to check the measurements here on bratabase to see if the bras seem to be quite close in measurements to what you have that fits.
I'm now comparing the bras I want to try with my CK Ella (which I added to the bratabase), but I'm pretty new at this so I often make mistakes. I think I'm not measuring myself very well, because the recommendations I get are for 34G Decos, but I exchanged my (huge) 34FF strapless Deco for 34E which fits quite well (a 34F may have fit as well, but the 34E is not bad at all). So a 34G would be huge.
Do you think I should start buying 34F instead in brands like Freya, Panache or Fantasie? For example, I will exchange my Paige, and am thinking of getting a Panache Sport, but as I don't want to have to make another exchange, I'm thinking that maybe I should start buying 34Fs. For me, it's a hassle, because it takes two weeks for the bra to arrive, then another two weeks for it to get back to the store, another two weeks for the replacement to arrive...
I have a list of bras that I want to buy (longer than my arm, most likely), but every time I have to exchange a bra I spend the money I'd spend in a new one! So it's like I'm paying twice the price for the bra.

I haven't checked out Bratabase for a few years. I was thinking of getting back into it, but I am wondering how I can mark my old bras as "fit me when I wore them, but not now". That's more accurate than me saying that they fit (and having people with measurements similar to my current ones think ... these bras would fit), or saying that they don't fit (which might dissuade people from having the measurements I had at the time from trying them). I already marked them as no longer owned. I checked the FAQ but didn't see this; could someone point me in the right direction?
My breasts change size a lot, so I'd like to keep a historic record which is accurate but doesn't misrepresent the current situation.

If your breast size has changed you can enter your new measurements and then set the fit for the new measurements to reflect that they no longer fit, is this what you mean?
If I change my measurements, what happens with the old bras which I said fit me in the past? Do they (a) look as if they fit me in the current size, (b) look as if they never fit me, or (c) show that they fitted me in the past, when my measurements were X, but not now, when they are Y?

I know there's TONS of info on all of the different lingerie/bra blogs about how each style may require you to size up/size down from your "go-to" size, but has anyone ever compiled this (or at least the most agreeable) information into a simple, easy-to-read chart or anything similar?
If it's out there already, can someone post a link for me? ... I know every time I go bra shopping online, I spend about a half hour (or more) looking up different reviews and reading different blogs trying to figure out which size to get, and most of the time I just get bored and give up (unless I'm really salivating over a new bra lol.)
If it's not out there, maybe it's something we (or some of you bra scientists haha) can create? I know it must get redundant for some of you pros to have to keep answering the same questions over and over for some of us shoppers with limited access to sizes.
