• I've never had this sort of problems, but I know that all girls that I know that think well-fitting bras are really important tend to have a set of bras that runs slihtly larger, or is more conforming (like stretch lace on the top of the cup) to wear during these days. Wearing a too tight bra isn't just about restricting, it can also be quite painful, especially if one is sensitive even before during this time of the month. :(

• This happens to me too ! Before my periods, my breast perimeter can grow 3 cm (from 21 to 23 or sometimes 24 !), they feels super heavy and painfull, but also very firm, so it is impossible to wear the bra that fitted me 3 days before.
  I order my bras online, so I have to "guess" my size, and 4 days ago, I receveid my new bra during this "big boob" time, and the bra fitted quite well ! It was a lot better than all the bras I already have ! I am very interested too see how this bra will fit when my breast size will become normal.

  I think it would be interesting to enter a parallel breast measurment on bratabase, for those who have to wear differents bras depending on there periods.

What do you mean with boobs?

I have come to ask myself this question a lot of times since I started sizing up in the summer. I've seen some guides saying wires on glandular is forbidden but I've heard about people saying we need to separate what's boobs and what's "fat".

And I don't know how many fluffy women I've seen saying they don't know what's ... "just fat" and what's boobs. And I've seen several saying "if it hurts on PMS it's breasts". I've seen Balconetka saying "boobs are always at the front". And Bratabase says "Bras works on boobs like braces on teeth."

But the oncologist said we cannot know what is breasts. So basically it comes down to perception.

What do you see as boobs? What do you mean when you say boobs?

• Yes, this remains an interesting, useful question. But is it possible to give a defenitive answer to it? I now am pretty sure I have boobage between my boobs. I can push my cleavage down almost a centimeter before I reach the bones of my sternum. And this is pretty painful. So, maybe I am a bit symmastic after all. But who knows what kind of tissue it is. Also I am still not sure where at my sides and below my collorbones my boobs end.

• @Gervaise: Exactly, we cannot answer it. I don't know either. But I do wonder how old the idea of scoping and swooping is, because that surely gives us bigger boobs. And the theory of breast migration will definitely give women bigger boobs as well.

  To me it's interesting since we kind of think fat are more dangerous depending on where on the body it's situated. But if we can move it with our clothing that changes that perception a lot I think. This was one of the reasons for me in the summer to start trying to remigrate. I wanted to know how much fat could be moved. I have blog posts on my Swedish blog written in the summer never published.

  I have about half a centimeter of tissue between my boobs, but I can feel it's pretty much only fat. I think my glandular spots are pretty defined inside a lot of fat around it. But it does sit very close together at my sternum. Like 2-3 cm between the glandular when sitting. It changes to less room as soon as I move.

  But under the arms there's just pain all around pain. And the fat under my armpits joins the boobs immediately when leaning forward. So does a lot of fat from my back. I do think the big roll under my bands in the back is breasts as well, but to get it into the cups I would need a very special bra.

  Which gets me back to the strange idea about breast migration that says "if it ends up on the boobs in a month or so it's boobs". Not very easy to accomplish if high on chest and wide rooted :D

• Okay done;) But we also need a petition regarding Ewa. All her sizes should be made refundable/exchangeble:)

• Yes, but I find that if the wires are touching, then it's sufficiently narrow. Not so narrow that the markings will only be on my sternum--that's physically impossible--but narrow enough to be comfortable. If a gore is too wide, sometimes it works to modify it by folding and seaming the triangle smaller. (http://boobiusmaximus.livejournal.com/1474.html)

• This happens to me, too. There is that V shape in between my boobs, and it's on top of more boob. Sometimes I wish bras were made of one underwire that started as a center gore and then split into two wires to be under the cups. It would be nice, albeit difficult.

  Based on your measurements, you may want to try a UK 30J; The EM calculator suggests a 34G for you. So, I would say try a 32J in Ewa Michalak.

Can anyone explain Ewa Michalak bra styles to me and make a recommendation?

So I'd like to know what all the styles are, for reference, so I can help make recommendations to friends and family and not just choose bras for myself.

What does (*) mean and what breast width/depth will it be good for?:

*3D
*3DM
*CH
*CHP
*HM
*HP
*PL
*ST

All I know is one of the styles (KM) are maternity bras.

What recommendations would one make for someone with slightly ... shallow (.92) and tipping on narrow(.8) according to Branarchist's calculator?

Also, measurements are
underbust: 61cm, 24 in
bust: 79cm, 31in

So I know I'm about a 24F, and the two non-push-up 28DDs I've tried are made for full-on-top breasts, which make very sad bras for me.

• Girls on "Balkonetka" with similar measurements wear 60d or 60dd in Ewa. There are some new styles designed only for smaller bust: 3D (plunge) 3DM (unpadded plunge).

  Btw. I don't understand their size ranges anyway: for example Cleo Juna is aviable in a 38H which has the same cup volume as a 30K, so why don't they bring out a 30K of this bra?? Apparently it's supportive enough for an 38H bust so why not 30K or at least 30J??? Curvy Kates Tease Me size range (30J - 32HH - 34H...) makes more sense.
