I know self-exams are falling out of favor: now we're supposed to do them occasionally in order to stay aware of what our breasts feel like, but not a strict monthly thing that your whole life hinges upon. But even if we were still supposed to do regular exams, I wouldn't do them: I get this awful vasovagal-esque reaction when ... I press on my breast tissue. It's not tied up in any gender or body image issues. I don't think I'm going significantly deeper than my doctor does. It doesn't happen when someone else does it, even when it's rough from my partner or gentle from my doctor. But when I palpate my breasts, I feel sick to my stomach. Does this happen to anyone else?
Does anyone know of tips for larger breasted or denser breasted self exams?

OK, so maybe someone has let you know that having one side of your chest be smaller than the other is normal. But did you know that almost everything your breasts do is normal? Trust. What even is a body?…

Oh my gosh, you are just like me! Just yesterday evening I posted this problem exactly on /r/BigBoobProblems ! I feel really sick if I try to check my breasts, it's like my whole body is resisting it! My boobs are very dense too, and since they are big, it would take a lot of work to feel anything through that. And I just can't do it, just thinking about pressing on my tissue makes me feel really really sick.
Another one here! Have never even done it :D They ache so much anyway. Why making it even worse :D
