Cacique longlines? And a plea for help.

I noticed there aren't many Cacique bras added to Bratabase!

But before I get into that, I was wondering if 18 people were willing to help me by adding me as a friend on FB and liking this page? I ordered one of their longlines off of eBay and the seller said for every friend you get to "Like" them ... on Facebook, they will refund 1% off the order for up to 20 people, so 20%. Honestly it is only a few bucks off my order but every little bit helps me when I'm on such a tight budget. Two of my friends already liked them for me, but the rest are kind of shy to have them as one of their likes since they're not as obsessed about bras as I am haha!

Back to Cacique bras.. I know they aren't as popular as other brands since they only cater to larger back sizes from I believe, 36-46 B-H cups (US). But some of their styles are so appealing and look so comfy! I found one of their longlines off of eBay for a cheap price and I ordered it on a whim because I've always wanted to try a longline.. but other brands usually cost $50+ which is too much for me. I ordered a sister size that I will have to alter the band down but I just love the way it looks. Black and red is one of my favourite combos! I have no idea how the fit is though and there's not much to compare off from here, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Cacique longline bras, be it owning one or just simply trying it on in a store? Thanks so much everyone!

• How did you find the cup sizing differed between the Gold, the PL, and the CH? I have a PL, I have a CH on the way, and I really want the HM Gold next, so I'm trying to figure out the sizing.

  Also- how flat is the embroidery on the Gold? Does it show through tops?

• I wrote quite extensive reviews on all these bras and also wrote a comparison review on all three, but here's a quick summary:

  I ordered all three of them in 65E. For comparison: I currently wear a 28F in Panache Andorra. The HM Gold clearly ran the largest in the cups -- I'd say about a full cup size larger than the PL Onyks, which was closest to my Panache Andorra size. The CH Onyx ran the smallest -- about half a cup size smaller than the PL Onyks.

  As to the bands: I found the PL Onyks the tightest -- quite as tight as I find comfortable for my 27"/69cm underbust. I have virtually no padding on my ribcage and I really wouldn't want it any tighter. The HM Gold was only slightly looser -- more comfortable for me, but I CAN close it relatively easily at the tightest hook (I usually wear it at the loosest hook though, as it stays put just fine that way). The CH Onyx ran by far the loosest -- really too loose for me -- hence my reordering it in 60F.

  The embroidery on the HM Gold is very flat. I don't find it shows under my tops, but if one wears really really thin, skin-tight jerseys it might, of course, be different.

• Hopefully Bratabase will be able to show you how many sizes look on people for most of the bras ;)

  Right now not many models have that many pics, most have some but I don't think any has a full range to show.

CHP Bratki

So - it has arrived, another try in determining my EM size, this time in a babyblue chp 32j.
As I suspected, it's about a cup size too big for me, which confirms my theory that I'm 2 cupsizes smaller than Curvy Wordy.
Also, confirms orher theories that CHP's run larger than EM's PL's.
(I just read what I wrote and started ... too laugh because it sounds like a secret code language )

The cups
As they are too big - I had to tighten the straps all the way. THis puts unwanted pressure on my shoulders.
It is also too high under arm because of it.
I totally get why they don't do this style in larger sizes - I feel it would colapse under bigger breasts, and under mine it's kind of borderline happening.
The cups are not very nice too touch from the outside, but the are quite comfy from the inside - I understand now why some women say that with Ewa they sometimes forget that they are wearing a bra.

The band
I knew the 32 would be too loose for me and it is. It's about the same kind of loose like a 32 freya antoinette.
The edges of the band, much like the antoinette are qiute scratcy - this is why I could never forget to be wearing this bra.
I tried it on the loosest hook and it was too loose, however I discovered something quite odd. They were stingy with the material that covers the metal clasps - when I moved around I could feel the clasps hurting my skin. This was corrected with moving to tighter hooks. However, I have no idea how I would solve this is fthe band fit on the last hook.
Other than that, the band doesn't create much bulging in the back.

The straps
Semi adjustable - not a plus for me. But when adjusted, they stay put. Quite comfy otherwise.

The wires
I was suprised at how far up they went - kind of pokey under my underarms.
The gore LAYS FLAT. My boobs do meet above it, but this alone is a first for me - very narrow underwires.

The seams
They show. They really really show. No tight tops or thin knitware with this one. Im wearing a cami and a cardigan and I can stil see them.
Maybe it's just that I'm not used to seeing vertycal seems.

The shape
Most like Cleo Lucy - not as mindblowingly uplifting like some other styles, but nice, round, centered shape.
I was afraid the padding would add bulk to the chest, but actually it's quite the same as the unpadded Lucy.

Support
I felt the PL style is more supportive. I can't judge this fairly because It's too big so I get the jiggle. More supportive than Cleo Lucy though.


Apperance
Disclamer: I would have *NEVER* bought this one if it wasn't on sale.

"Meh" would be a compliment.
I think it actually looks quite cheap. A bit like a little peasant girl going for the roll in the hay. I don't think my boyfriend will apreciate this either.
The quality of the material isn't nearly as good as the pl burgund I have tried.
The pale blue color is really not me, but I figured I could remove the horrible lace details (the lace trim is really f*ugly IMHO) and use it as a T-shirt bra that could work even under white shirts..
Guess what? No can do. The lace is sowed in like there's no tomorrow so it can't be done without damaging the bra. Even if I did manage to do it - this wouldn't go well under a shirt because of the seams.

Conclusion
I'm not sure I'll be keeping this one - I can't return it but I might list it on Bratabase. I will write a full review and add pictures after few days of wear, then I will decide if I will keep it as a pms bra.
Even thoug this was a fail, I think I now am much closer to my Ewa Size - I think it's a 30j in chp and 30jj in pl's. This is consistent with the me being 2 cup sizes down from Curvy wordy - theory. (I compare myself to her gorgeus boobs cause some of the users here stated that we have the same type of breasts, and I should be only so lucky )
I think I will stick to PL's in the future as I hope that they come with a higher gore in 30jj or 28k.
I wrote to Ewa about this, trying to find out how much higher the gore gets in larger cupsizes in PL - but they weren't very helpful - they said it was a "company secret".

• Oh I love how thorough you are! When I saw the bra I thought my goodness is that light blue really her taste, because I couldn't believe it. It looks far more childish than you look. I actually think it's pretty, but I can certainly see how it would not be your style :D So I loled when it wasn't :D

  I would guess CH has the narrowest and highest wires among EM bras with CHP being in between PL and CH?

  I think it's quite rude of Effuniak not to tell people about the designs when a customer asks. But then I am not a fan of copyright at all since the world is changing and the information will get out in one way or another in the end. After all we have the internet now <3

  I mean: deedlit is trying to crack the geometry formulas the different brand uses to create their cup shapes.

  Customers are not stupid and should rather be thought of as friends. That's my naive approach on it :)

  Of all the CHP's Id probably order the Mak, Orchidea or Brzoskwinka - that is much more me. PL Capuccino, Ametyst and Malachit are right up my alley too. This is my wish list for the world to see. Maybe some day Ewa will send me bras to review too.. Hardly if I continue in this tone :))
  
  I'm not sure about the wire width - I actually found the pl really narrow wires. I think the main difference is in the hight of the wires and I suspect that HM syles have the tallest ones. I may do some compairing on bratabase to see what is true.

  I totally agree with the customer thing - I couldn't believe the answer I got, even more so when everybody was superthrilled with how wonderful their customer service is.
  Don't get me wrong I do apreciate their notifications and superfast shipping, but come one - emailing with a guy about their cup and gore shapes? It took me 2 emails to explain what do I mean when I say "center gore".
  I might be discriminating here, but I really think only women can fully understand boobs :)
  Meanwhile, I look forward to your Brastop order as if it was coming to my house :)

Masquerade Rhea Size

I'm thinking of buying a a Masquerade Rhea but not sure what size to get. I was looking at 28F but it seems to run tight in the band. My other Masquerade bra is 30 band and is very snug. So I'm not sure if I should get a 30F or 30FF? I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to fill ... out a FF, I also heard this bra runs large in the cups. My measurements are about 28 underbust, 34 around my bust, and perimeter is around 10 - all in INCHES. Any advice would be terrific about this bra

• After a bit more research I'm torn between 30E and 30F. Those two sizes cost a bit more of course! I've read it is small in the cups and large in the cups. My Delphi seemed two sizes too small in the cup.. which would make me get a 30F. Blah what to get!?

• When you take your full bust measurement, is that leaning over or standing up? Going by your cup depth it would suggest 28FF, but going by your full bust would suggest only 28E. You need to remeasure, and do so as accurately as possible. From the 3 bras you have on here, it's very obvious you need at least a cup size up. The Delphi looked true to size, in that it did look like a 30DD sitting on a 28F or FF figure that wasn't properly scooped in. Why are you going for 30 if you measure 28 even? Or do you measure more than 28.0"?

• *Noticed* is the understatement of the year :)
  My boobs get so hard during pms, if I could detach them I could probably break a window with them. I go up a full cupsize while PMS and my boobs get so heavy and sore I cant sleep on my stomach.
  Your teories are correct - and this is why many women have special pms bras - some of them are stretchy like rive gauche or andorra so they conform to a bigger boobs, but some buy a cupsize up in their favorite style.
  Id always go with the stretchy kind - I get a lot more wear out of them and they're usually more comfortable for sore boobs.

• haha yes, I started out wearing mainly full coverage bras after figuring out I'd been wearing sizes way off the mark. I'm trying to avoid exacerbating my pms by avoiding coffee and chocolate, but it takes a lot of willpower. I second Vlatka's recommendation of the Panache Andorra.

My 'story'

Ladies! Here is my little 'story' I think it is quite similar to other young women =)?

My dress size is 8/10 and I'm just about 5ft.4

Before I really knew about bra fitting, I would listen to the shop floor lady and force myself into a 34C... that's about 8 inches bigger around than it should be! Don't do this to ... yourself !

After a while I started experimenting with 30D and DD, real bra fitting in its infancy. I started to question, why do I need a "Professional Fitter" to tell me the size? "Junior Section" 28D was the smallest back and biggest cup I could reasonably find... I was greatly discouraged, I must be crazy, ill informed, picky about lingerie?

After a while I landed myself with 28E and F, I became more curious about the idea - WHY was I told to wear a 34C if the 28 fitted so much better? WHY were there no alternatives?

And now I'm at this point =) so much happier and in a 26G thanks to the likes of Ewa-michalak, or altering down a 28FF. My shoulders and neck are thanking me, I don't get tension headaches, no double busting and I don't get "back fat"!

I wish I didn't have to look so very far and wide for one very simple thing: A properly fitted bra!

Confused, Again

I redid my measurements today and I'm really a 28 band which makes more since to me since I'm so petite. Though 28 bands seem even harder to find. The Sophisticated Pair calc tells me to try 28E or 28F, but Bratabase always says "This bra will be too small in the cup for you".

There were already very few ... options for 30DD on ebay and there are even fewer for 28FF and such. I can't really spend $40-80 on bras, I'm a broke college student. It seems to get harder and harder each day to find an affordable bra in an "odd" size.

• You may want to try: http://brastop.com/ , http://lovebras.com/ (look at the bras on sale) and http://www.largecuplingerie.com/bras/sale-bras-1.html/. These places are in the UK, but with brastop at least shipping seems reasonably priced and you can return it for free, from what I gather.

  You have a lot of options, it's just a matter of knowing where to look :-)

• I think the size showing up with the pictures would be really helpful. It would be great if maybe there was a list of brands where sizing was similar.
