I just had this conversation on reddit, I normally don't respond to this kind of messages, just press the "ban" button, but today I felt empowered by some feminist reading and felt like answering. FYI I've uploded TWO pictures of a bra for fit check and nothing else. Was this a good way to handel the situation? I think I'll ... wait a couple of days asking on reddit because this man made me uncomfortable.

I do not know how to answer this. A "thank you" would mean I appreciated it, which, don't get me wrong, I did at first, but it's also (as your alias suggests) rather awkward getting this sort of messages. It's not really a suitable opening line unless it's four a.m. and we're both very drunk. I don't mean to offend you in any way, but you did post a thread for advice on how to stop beeing labled "creepy".
Please don't respond to this or send me further messages unless in a less creepy way. Thanks.
[–]från X skickat för 31 minuter sen
well i mean, it was 4 am for me when I sent that, so does it count?
[–]till AwkwardMusician skickat för 17 minuter sen
Not really. Sending creepy messages to someone you've never met is never a good idea, regardless of time. It just makes you comes across as very unpleasant, with stalker vibes and can often be percieved as a little sexist. Sorry.
[–]från AwkwardMusician skickat för 15 minuter sen
it's only creepy because you don't want it. also i never said i knew where you lived so this is hardly stalker behaviour
[–]till X skickat för 8 minuter sen
But you knew that was probably how I would percieve it, right? If I would have wanted that sort of attention I would definately have posted in another sub, not as fit check in ABTF. I know you never said that you know where I live, or anything like that, but I just tried to explain what sort of vibes that kind of messages send out. You know, trying to help you get rid of that "creep" stamp, by explaining how it makes me feel and hoppfully you'll understand that it's rather inappropriate so that you can pick another subject for your other correspondences.
[–]från X skickat för 7 minuter sen
i had no expectations as to how you would receive it. Also, that post you read was from like 2 years ago. lol.
[–]till X skickat för 3 minuter sen
It's ok, but please don't send this type of message to me again because it makes that old post very relevant.
[–]från X skickat för 2 minuter sen
i won't send you anymore
[–]till X skickat för just nu
Thank you.

Body issues??? Can I just say that I *hate* doing the back photos? They show off all my back fat in all its cringeworthy glory. Ugh!
Oh, and I'm now considering sizing up to a 40G. When I started hormones, I was really, really hoping I'd wind up with a little more than just an A. ... Now I'm thinking about a G(inormous)! This is the bra version of sticker shock. It's cup shock. I'm still struggling with wrapping my brain around having actual, noticeable boobs. The other day at the library, a guy stared at them as he walked by, in the company of his wife. That made my month.
I do love my boobs, though. They just look and feel right. *silly grin*

There aren't many reviews on the Luxe, so I wanted to share this one on I saw on Boosauraus. In the review, they show the inside of the cups which have a pretty large side sling.

I got told yesterday that I'm "Obsessed with bras" because I'm always on here trying to learn more about my shape and what type of bra I need for my boobs. Has that happened to anyone else?!?!? Are YOU obsessed with bras!?!? LOL

Obviously you arent obsessed enough, since you missed my similar post a coupla days ago here! http://www.bratabase.com/adventures/entry/5222/
Yep I did miss it... Thinks that's when my phone decided to fry itself. My husband just laughs about my bra obsession. But it was my brother in law and sister-in-law who called me obsessed.

Just now went for a coffee break. I get in the elevator and in walks cute guy from 11th floor. Trying not to blush or do anything stupid, I smile politely. I quickly glance at my reflection. Boobs are behaving, not popping open any buttons on my blouse. I'm wearing my favourite, cutest blouse. Now there's light conversation as we ... exit the elevator together. Turns out we are heading in the same direction.
As we walk down the stairs to the concourse together (the escalators only go up, thanks to my building being "green") I notice an odd rubbing--no it's more of a scratching, scraping sound. The sound persists with each step I descend. It's so annoying. WTF is it?!?!? I note that my boobs are bouncing lightly with each step. It's an attractive, contained bounce, and he seems to notice but is a gentleman so he looks ahead. Then it dawned on me: my bounce is causing my new bra to rub against my chiffon-like blouse resulting in the very loud, and now very apparent scraping sound. New bra, why you embarrass me?!!? AND STILL SO MANY STEPS AHEAD. Does he hear it? How can he not hear it? He totally hears it. At this point I'm trying so hard to flex every chest and back muscle I think I have and expanding my lungs to the point where I think I'm going to pass out and fall down the rest of the stairs.
I'm back at my desk now reflecting on the whole ordeal. New moulded cup bras and wrinkle resistant fabrics do not get along. Now that we've established that, wtf was his name again? >__<

lol! If it makes you feel any better, I don't think there are many men who would think "what's that rustling noise, oh yes of course it must be that woman's bra!" They'd probably assume it was sleeve or pantleg friction as you walk. Cheaper menswear is very noisy btw, so a lot of young guys rustle when they walk too... they probably wouldn't think anything of it if they noticed you doing the same!
LOL that sounds so much like me! I still remember one time getting out of the car and saying something about my arm pit smell and my mom was all "Why do you worry about things like that? no one notices". good luck with the cute guy!

Boob and body issues??? Don't *even* get me started!
I'm not ashamed to display my ignorance, though, so I do have a question, of sorts. I know that each pair of breasts, and even each breast, are unique, and that there are, generally speaking, no absolutes regarding "the way breasts should be." My question is, in terms of ... best fit, posture and health, is there an optimal positioning of the breasts? Should they ride high and proud, lower and more modest, or somewhere in between? Mid-way twixt elbow and shoulder? Does age make a difference? Would high and proud be deemed socially inappropriate for an older woman? Should they be close together? Wide apart? Should they point straight ahead? Up? Down? To the sides?
These might sound like silly questions, but I was born and raised male, so I didn't learn any of these social niceties. I could only observe the world around me, which included real people and images from all the media, including all the propaganda that's referred to as "advertising."
I'm just traveling my personal road, doing my best to discover who I am, and accept and be at peace with that.

Here are some thoughts about the matter:
What you already said, there cannot be any absolutes for fit, posture and health. Some say bras are not healthy at all and some don´t agree. It could be that the healthiest option is to wear bras that allow the breasts be as much as possible, in their natural position. But it might be just as good an option to make more modifications. Maybe bras don´t even make such a big difference to one´s health? I think it is very individual. Maybe best to do what feels right for oneself.
What comes to appropriate / inapproppriate, there are different cultures / nations / etc which define those things differently. I believe in free will, one can decide whether if to listen to what others say, or to decide by themselves what feels like the best option. I personally feel like it´s everyone´s personal choice what to wear. Be it modest or immodest (not including youngsters or other people who are insecure and influenced by ads etc)
Hope you figure things out! :)
Thanks Fairy79!
I've always been flamboyant, and it's not been an easy time getting to where I am now, so I'm not about to hide my boobs or pretend I don't have 'em. I'm proud of what little I have and I like to show 'em off.

Am I alone in loathing the way they photoshop models into bras? They have to, because I've never ONCE tried on a bra that looked the same on me as it does on the model. If I'd have known that the darn thing was going to cover nearly as much of my torso as my t-shirt, I'd never have bought ... the darn thing, but they always look so nice on the model--plenty of decollete, boobs nicely supported (most of the time), plunges that actually plunge, and shoulder straps that don't look like they are about to saw your arm off. I would like that in real life. Take this one:
This is what I want *my* bra to look like--slightly plunging, straps centered on the shoulders, no armpit rubbing, they don't show a side view, but it seems like it has a good shape. Sadly, if I buy it, the center gore will stab me in the adam's apple, the straps will be a good 3" wider than my shoulders will withstand, and I'll have less decollete on display than a nun! Perhaps this model is 8 feet tall?
*NOTE:* I have not actually purchased this particular bra...but I want to, especially if it looks like that on me.

I think it's a mx of photoshop and those chicken cutlet things models stuff into bras. I've read articles that include quotes from Victoria's Secret models saying they'll have up to 3 pairs of those things stuffed into their inappropriately sized B cups at any point. Not that Curvy Kate is VS, but you get the point.
At least the models here that actually are from CK and not bare necessities show a better assessment.
(oh, and the Princess will, at the very least, have straps fighting to touch your elbow they are that widely apart. she seems to work for some, but def not me)
ginganinja I LOL'd at "straps fighting to touch your elbows"--I know that feeling all too well. But then again, those "center pull" straps on most people perch perfectly on the edges of my shoulders, so...

So I gained about 8 pounds since coming to school, and a good bit of it went to my boobs so now I'm hovering in between 28FF and 28G (well, 26G and 26GG, but let's be real here). On that note: is it normal to have breast pain while going through a growth spurt in that area? It's mostly when I take the bra off, but also just throughout the day with it on. It's a 28FF, so it's not a size issue, but they're super tender and that usually doesn't happen.

I've had achy boobs due to bras squashing boobs upward awkwardly. Was a symptom of too shallow + too high apex for me. Don't know if that would apply to your situation.
@drownedsalad It applies to mine.
OP, I don't remember having pain during puberty, but I have had pain w/ my spurts as an adult.

Ok, Jennifer Love Hewitt has an hourglass figure according to that site - hello, have they completely gone blind, that's the only way they could miss the junk in the trunk...not that it's a bad thing, but she's got booty for days and is more pear than hourglass. I'd also say that she's way smaller than 34 in band judging by the narrow shoulders.
Then there's ScarJo...if she wears a 34C then I've got a dog who can magically turn herself into a monkey. And some beach front property in Yuma, AZ for sale.
A 34C? Hahaha hahaha! I measured my boyfriend and he is a 34C.

Since getting pregnant I've gone from about 30DD to 30F. Learning this gave me a slight confidence boost, which caused me to buy tons of bras in my new size without really thinking. But now I'm getting worried that my breasts are going to shrink back down, and none of them are going to fit anymore. ... />
From what I've been reading, it's pretty rare for breasts to stay the same size that they were during pregnancy. Now I feel stupid for spending this much money on bras that might be huge on me in less than a year.
Not only that, but I also just really like my new size! I've always been on the smaller side, so it's kind of nice having averageish-sized breasts for once. I know there's nothing wrong with small boobs (and I think they look quite nice on other people!), but I like mine how they are now....
And to make matters worse, I've been reading that sometimes breasts will become even smaller than they were before pregnancy. Which means that even the D/DD/E bras I bought before getting pregnant might be too big.
*sigh*

Don't worry girlfriend--unless you lose all the baby weight in a week and skip nursing altogether, those 30F bras are likely to be worn to shreds LONG before you have a chance to get back into the DD zone.
Additionally, as many or more people stay bigger than before conceiving, so there's no sense already fretting just in case you turn out to be one of those who are a little bit smaller than before. Considering how many slim women tend to fill out and stay fuller figured after childbearing in developed countries, I'd say statistics are on your side!
Warning, though, you may at some point find yourself wondering what you ever thought was so great about average or big boobs and longing for your former shape! It's happened to a bunch of my friends. One of them actually had a reduction after she was done having kids to get BACK to the "too small" chest she used to hate so much when we were in college. When she first gained a cup or two during pregnancy she was psyched, but it didn't stop there, and after a while she was like HOW DO PEOPLE LIVE WITH THESE THINGS!?? lol.
Hey, you're pregnant! If the most excessive behavior you exhibit during this time is buying bras that might not fit in a year, you're exercising moderation. In any case, everybody's bras might not fit well in a year. Such are the ways of boobs, right?
Some women's breasts end up larger with each pregnancy. You just never know.

Today someone on reddit mentioned that a great indicator of upper fullness was the Cleo Marcie, which is a new addition to my ever-growing bra collection but is probably the most perfect fit I have had!
At first I was extremely distressed as I thought, "I was leaning towards FoB or perhaps even, and it turns out I am FoT?!" ... I see now on the ABTF shape guide, it says if bras from both lists fit well, it is a pretty good indicator of evenness. Phew! I have not had the chance to try any more bras from the list, but I can be happy in accepting that I am probably just more even than I once thought.
Afterthought note to leave in parting -- today I put on my Marcie while standing in front of a mirror around my sister. Without thinking, I exclaimed, "Look at how happy my boobs look!" She thinks I am even weirder. Sorry I get excited about bras !

Yep. I'm even and both Marcie and Lucy fit well. (I do have soft tissue. If you're even but with firm tissue, a true FOB-friendly bra may not be so kind to your boobs.) I wonder how many of us initially think we're FOB simply because we're so used to our old, ill-fitting bras gaping at the top of the cups? I thought I was FOB and shallow. Turns out I'm actually even and average projection for my size range. Heh. Took a few mis-fits to convince me and unwrite all those preconceptions, though!
kitsune That makes sense! And I don't *think* I have soft tissue, but it could be another thing I refuse to believe as true! :)
And I have my eye on a Lucy here on Bratabase if the owner ever responds (lol) so maybe I will find out soon!!

I generally wear a 32C, so being on the smaller side, I am looking for an awesome pushup bra right now. However, I am having issues finding one that is COMFORTABLE (preferably not lace) and offers genuine back and side support. I do not like the way bras tend to dig in and create lumpy sides and backs regardless of ... the size. I also have very narrow, sloping shoulders, so straps are often a serious issue. I need straps centered towards the spine more, but I am generally not a fan of criss cross straps or racerbacks. I have looked into Braologie 's Braologie Posture-contour Bra Casual model, and so far that is my favorite I've been able to find. Unfortunately, though, the braologie "braologists" have failed to return my request forms and to answer my messages, both of which I have been sending for close to a week now. Finding the right bra is a top priority right now, and I hope to acquire it as soon as possible so as to end my bra suffering once and for all!
Can anyone help me by recommending the right bra for my situation? I know that it HAS to be out there somewhere.

Have you measured yourself recently? You might not be in the right size or it may have changed since you are last fitted. www.brasizecalculator.tk is generally very accurate.
I can only say good things about Braologie, especially in the smaller sizes. Maybe send them another message? It's not like them to not respond. Their customer service is generally extremely good and I have found them accurate with their size recommendation too.
Another bra you may want to look into, though, is the Freya Deco Moulded Soft Cup Bra (4231). It does not have underwires, but it really is amazingly supportive and capable of producing killer cleavage, even in the smaller sizes.
I've had boobs for more than ten years now, and I think that this is the first time I've ever just stood in front of a mirror and stared at them for any length of time.
I was actually looking in the mirror lamenting about washing my hair because it looks so good when I noticed them just hanging there. ... And they're just... so weird. They're big floppy bags hanging off my chest. That I have to pay a great deal of money to hold up.
So I stood there for a good 10 minutes just staring at my bare chest from different angles. And I still have no idea about shape. I've read the guides on here and on /r/abrathatfits, and I understand fully the CONCEPT of shapes, but I don't have any clue what mine fall into.
Are they conical? If I'm not holding them with my hands, they sort of make a very soft VV shape, but if I support them with my hands right at the fold, they are two very wide but very distinct U's.
Are they shallow? I'm not even sure what that looks like in larger sizes like mine (somewhere near a 36G).
Are they soft or firm? To what do I compare this? I haven't had much experience touching other boobs to have a point of reference.
If I look from one angle, they seem to be full on bottom. If I look from another, they seem full on top. Some angles make me think they're fuller in the centre, but others make me sure they're fuller on the outside. Mostly, to me, they just look full.
Are they tall? Short? Wide? Narrow? Close? Projected? I don't know.
They're big, floppy bags of tissue and fat hanging off my chest, and they are WEIRD.

Naked boobs actually don't tell you much about shape. Other than projected vs shallow. If you describe them as hanging bags- projected.
It's what boobs do when supported that tells you about shape. Do bras always cut into the top of your boobs? Do you have trouble filling the top of the cup? Do wires tend to sit on your breast tissue under the arm, or go well past where your boobs end? In a bra do your boobs tend to look more teardrop shaped or round? These are the answers that reveal your shape. It's the reason ABTF never uses naked boobs as a reference. For fit purposes it's just not very useful. :)
And soft tissue is very pliable, it will mold to whatever bra you put it in,more or less. I jokingly refer to mine as 'pudding boobs'. Firm tissue fights more against bras in try on, where soft tissue settles over time, so fit problems become more apparent after extended wear. Firm tissue tends to be somewhat self supporting. Soft tissue rarely pairs with naturally perky boobs.
I think so many of us look at the ABTF diagrams the first time and miss the part where it says 'in a bra', and think 'my boobs don't look like any of those!' Rest assured - it's your bras that tell you about your boobs, your boobs themselves don't have much to say on the matter.
Hahahahaha! Excellent post. I agree, boobs are weird. But also wonderful. They're like play-doh--you can make different shapes with different bras :-D
I may get flayed for saying this, especially by the young bloggers who are ALLLL about the breast shape stuff, but not all of these criteria are particularly important to brafitting, in my opinion. To me, one of the great things about Bratabase is that it lets you see bra/boob compatibility objectively, in terms of actual numbered measurements, instead of trying to endlessly label this body part with descriptive terms.
The most important shape features for people in your size range are going to be lying down breast perimeter (for which you can use a tape measure) and root width (for which you pretty much need to do trial and error). Height is important too, but tall roots are a bit less common in your size range. If you have an unusually tall root, you will probably be able to see this: wearing a supportive bra, or supporting your boobs with your hands, and looking at yourself in profile in the mirror, does your breast profile look like a letter C that is fairly concentrated on a smallish area of your torso, with well-defined and obvious upper edge (usually you can even make an upper crease if you compress the boob), and several inches of lean, boobless surface separating the top of the breast and your clavicle? If so, your breast root is not particularly tall. Or does your breast profile look more like a tall teardrop shape, with the upper breast tissue tapering smoothly and gradually all the way up to your clavicle? If you have this latter shape, your breast root is quite tall and you will need to look for cups that don't cut into it.

Girl friends. Aren't they so fantastic? Hanging out together, sipping wine, chatting. Lovely. Like a good bra, they are supportive and wonderful. Except when their underwire sticks out.
I'm new to my search for a properly fitting bra. I've only tried one in my size range so far, but I'm making another purchase this weekend and I'm PSYCHED. And I've started ... looking for a properly fitting swim suit top as summer is fast approaching in Australia. I came across the Fantasie Versailles Twist Front Tankini and it's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for... Except that the cheapest I can find it here in Australia is $130.
So I was having a good cathartic whine to my friend, who asked to see what I was looking at, so I sent her a link, and told her the colour and that I was looking at a 34-36G/GG.
As a bit of background, I've told her about Bratabase and /r/abrathatfits and shown her what I've learned, but she's perfectly happy in what she currently wears, so I've decided to just let it be.
But when I told her the size range, she just said "I really don't think you're a 34G. We're pretty much the same with our upper bodies, and I wear a 38-40 so I don't get back fat. And if you went up numbers, you could come down cup sizes."
Well. Kudos to her for understanding that cup sizes are not static. But how frustrating! Especially because I tried to explain that I've had 38's and whereas no, they don't give me back fat, they also don't stay in place, and that's not supporting me properly, but the argument just kind of escalated. Over the fact that I'm trying to find a bra that fits and supports me properly.
The argument more or less finished with her saying, "You're not a G cup, lol. You just haven't found the right bra."
AHHHH!!!! I've already given up on the idea of "bravangelising" her, but this turned into a legitimate argument over how I can't possibly be the size my measurements say I am. How ridiculous!
Does anyone else get this? People just arguing with you despite demonstrable evidence that you're right? How do you deal with it?

I am super lucky, because my best friend not only believes me, she has experienced a better fit due to me! I gave her some of my older bras, and while they're still about a band size big for her, they fit her so much better that she can't stop gushing about how much she loves them. In fact, next week we're going to the mall so she can try on some, take notes, and then she can shop online for them. (She's going to join on here, as well, soon. She's a busy mama of an almost 2 year old little boy, so the bra outing is a big event for us. Lol. Luckily for her, her size is around 30-32DD/DDD, which Macy's here does carry a few of in the store! )
However, I have had is happen a LOT with coworkers, to the point where I have to sometimes just walk away. I'm also too scared to mention it to my husband's mama, because I know she wears a 34-36B and she's a very slim lady, so I can't imagine her ribcage being much bigger than 30, but she's also the one who, back when I thought I was a 32DDD (I'm closer to a 26HH/J or 28H/HH) scoffed and, although she bought me two bras in that size, kept insisting we could return them if the band was too tight or the cups too big. (It was the opposite.) I completely understand-it's really frustrating when people won't at least acknowledge that maybe you have a reason for getting the size you do-it obviously is working at least somewhat well for you, so why should they care if your cup size is bigger or band size is smaller than they eyeball you at? Eyeball measuring isn't 100% accurate, and with other women, they may, whether or not they love you or not, there may be some insecurity of their own presenting itself, unfortunately.
I told a friend's mama my ribcage and bust measurement the other night, and granted, she was intoxicated, but it was a bit unsettling when she kept saying something about how I could write a letter to US companies asking for more models in 38G, when I had told her a few moments earlier that I usually had to wear 28H/HHs due to a lack of 26 bands. My bust measures 39, a 38 band would be ridiculously big for me, so I certainly wouldn't be pestering a company for a size I can't wear! (Not that it's a big size, just that it would be a full 11-11.5 inches bigger than my ribcage at minimum.)
Sorry for the long response, it's just a topic I can really go on and on about! =^__^'=
@eternalheartcreations Haha, didn't take that as an insult at all. That's both disturbing and hilarious. Definitely wouldn't want a back size that's the same as the circumference around your breasts.
And I can't even imagine discussing bra sizes with my mother in law EVER, let alone now that I've discovered my right size range. But she's sorta nuts, so that may be a different story entirely. LOL

When I say I wear 28Hh to the people or boyfriend. And they're reaction is likethis.... holly shit! Is it ever exist? Can I touch it?? Could you show me one more time?? Wow or your breast looks smaller than your size you said. Are you sure? Cuz yours doesn't looks so big enough to wear that size.
Is it only me??

I think not. People just don´t realise that sizes go above DD... But we have to educate them :)
With me people just look very surprised or confused. But I'm kind of a scary lady--I can't imagine anyone would ask me if they could see or touch ;-)

Is breast firmness more about plasticity or compressibility? I have some of the former and much more than I used to have, so I thought my breasts were getting softer, but I still don't fit well in padded bras and I basically have none of the latter, so maybe they behave as firm breasts after all? I have to order all my bras online, so a better understanding of this would help my research. Thanks!

I think that squish generally tends to indicate highly mobile and well...squishy....tissue (example semi bra related: a corset on someone with a lot of squish can usually get a lot of reduction). So you can compress squish and move squish, but I'm not certain that it applies to firmness - that's more a matter of density.
Most padded bras are designed so that the padding is actually taking up some of the space meant for your breasts. I don't know why they do this with bra designs, but a lot of manufacturers do it. It's also something that I feel happens with the t-shirt bras as well. The more 'molding' that a t-shirt bra cup has, the less space it allots for ones boobs. Then things can get even more problematic because padded and t-shirt bras conceal many of the more subtle indicators of fit.
Hmm.... my breasts are not very firm at all and they change their shape to match the cup to some degree and they are very squishy. Molded cups are usually not good for me but structured, padded cups are.
As was just mentioned, most padded bras run small, its usually just a matter of finding the right size.
I'm sorry if I didn't exactly answer your question, I just believe it is a mixture of both, at least it is for my breasts.

What shape/aspect tends to have more conical breasts? I wouldn't say my root is horribly broad, though it's difficult to tell (I seem to have a lot of tissue extending past what should be the outside crease), but there is a very noticeable narrowing from root to tip, and I wonder if it's part of why I have so much trouble finding a bra that works.

I can't really add too much to this except to say that I also have a broader root than breast, bratabase classifies it as having narrow breasts. I AM a hard fit, but my breasts are very soft and I think my issues have to do with the lack of firmness, although having narrow breasts don't help!
I just read your measurements from your other adventures, and me and you have very similiar measurements! Our laying down perimeter is exact! My breasts seem to be more squishier, but if you can wear a 32 band, try a 32GG Parfait Charlotte.
I went to a bra boutique yesterday and that is what I just bought, fits so good!! I was surprised at the GG cup since it seems I have been between F and FF cup but the Charlotte cup runs small I have heard.

I don't know if it's weight gain or good bra wearing or what, but I seem to have way less of that 'contents shifting to the side' effect these days. I'm not too soft in the bosom tissue, but approaching 40 and having a bunch of ups and downs in weight did make my boobs pretty much flatten when I laid down.
Whether it's just psychological, better posture, whatever, I feel way less self conscious about my boobs and they seem way nicer. Probably psychological, which is fine by me.

My boobs have definitely changed since I started wearing more supportive bras, and I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining it! They've narrowed (making it even more difficult to find bras that fit me, argh) and are more forward pointing. The shape out of a bra has also improved. They're not self-supporting, but much less floppy than they were prior to being properly fitted. I feel more confident with my boobs nowadays, which in turn has boosted my self-esteem, improved my posture and I daresay even my life to some extent. Who cares if your boobs have physically shifted or not, as long as you feel that they're awesome and you're awesome, it's all good!
Mine have changed shape since wearing properly fitting bras, too. They're slimmer on the sides, under the arms, and fuller toward the center gore. They're less shallow, viewed from the side.
Nowvoyager, I don't think the changes are in your head. You are definitely not the first to see improved breast shape/texture/behavior after discovering good bra fit.

I'm curious to see if anyone else has this issue, so I thought I'd ask. I have extremely sensitive skin (allergic to bleach, parabens, perfume, aluminum, bird dander, most chemicals, latex, etc.) and always find that my bra bands, no matter how loose, leave red marks. I see that sometimes people associate this with a too tight band, but I ... can assure you that is NOT the case in my bands-I can fit a fist, sometimes two, between my band and my back and still breathe, and can wear them on the tightest hooks with no discomfort. Even when I thought I was a 32 and they rode waaaay up on my back, I got red marks. I need them to be snug for support, since my cups are usually a UK H or HH, and most of the time, the 28s are still a little loose, except on bras where the cups are too small. I'm just curious as to how many other people experience the marks even with looser bands, mainly because I wonder how many other people also have this sort of sensitivity.

I get red marks from all of my bras, even the now wayyy to large bands I'm too lazy to adjust. I always go by the rule that if they disappear after a couple of minutes everything is fine.
I have the same issue (and I think most people) with socks, they also leave red marks, but aren't too tight, they just leave them and then they disappear.
Suna I'm so glad I'm not the only one! (Not that I would wish skin sensitivity on anyone, it just is nice to know I'm not some freak of nature!) Mine usually disappear pretty quickly when I remove the bra, unless I'm very bloated/retaining water and/or they are very itchy, in which case I aggravate the skin by scratching too much, at which point it's a completely different type of mark.
I also have the issue with socks, which has become much worse since my hip surgery last year left me with lymphedema and my leg, particularly the ankle, swells about two inches by the end of the day.
I did read somewhere that people with sensitivity to latex (I am very sensitive to latex, a latex rash/hives can last two weeks or more!) sometimes are also somewhat sensitive to other elastic materials as well, and I am also sensitive to petroleum based products, which some synthetic fibers/elastics contain.

I feel like it would be less work to take a proper photo of the correct bra rather than trying to poorly photoshop the colour into an existing bra that's not the same colour. But that's just me....
LMAO. O my gosh! It's like glow in the dark. LOL
