Hi everyone, Molke's having a 20% off sale right now! No set date on how long, but at least until October 25th. Had to snap me up a retro rainbows bra <3
Thanks for letting us know! Is their size calculator accurate? I never tried their bras before.
alisa I would say accurate asterisk. And by that I mean I think you can wriggle your sizing around based on your preferences. For instance, I kind of fall between a 30H and 28HH and have been fine in both S Super and XS Super, but I think I could also wear an XS Mega if I wanted fuller coverage (might be a little loose though) or an S Cosmic if I wanted a tighter fit around the bust/shorter cup (might be a little tight though). I haven't tried their Flexi-Size stuff or Bralettes.
I remember we had a conversation about this maybe a few months ago, alisa, and you were worried about being too tall for the straps. What I have to say about that now is that I feel like the straps on an XS are shorter than those on a S, and I think you'd be an M, so I think you might be fine? Also, Flexi-Size bras have adjustable straps if you'd prefer to try that.
I'm certain I'm not the only one who has been waiting for this one to drop, although I might never be able to decide which size to get. The only thing I'm certain of is that my BM in 90HH is one band size too big and one cup size too small, but sizes vary across styles so I really have no clue what I should order.
I havent ordered one in 2 years, but I found that FBs run a little tight in the band and . . . idk, about the same in the cups compared to her other non-lined ones? I've finally lost a little weight so my 75KK FBs are a little loose in the cup, like they were when I bought them, and my 75K SMs fit pretty well. I didnt mind the looseness in the cup as they still give me my best support.
I have been impressed with how many more FBs are out since I last purchased and its really tempting, tho I'd rather lose some more weight. Tho I guess FBs have come down a size, too - 75KK used to be the smallest size.
There are pink ones on sale now for mammograph day or something
Since Paypal covers return shipping, I decided to take a chance. I ordered the Madame X ...Empress Set (fashion corset, bralette, g-string) - the pretty light blue one with butterflies.
I do NOT recommend Empress Mimi for the following reasons:
1) Lack of customer service and product knowledge. You can only reach them by email and it can take DAYS to hear back. When you do hear back, you're likely going to get vague and generic help that you already found on the website. They do not address specific concerns. It took a week of back and forth to get a sizing confirmation, and another week+ trying to address the issue (ended up giving up and returning).
2) Only positive reviews are posted to their site - this is dishonest and misleading. My 2-star review never got posted.
3) Manufacturing/labeling errors - According to their size chart, I should wear a S++ (I wear a 30F/FF). Per dorkyfaerie 's review on my previous post, and some concerns about the scalability of their size chart, I sized down to a S+ (I'd rather lingerie be a touch small than too big). The corset fit fine, but the bralette was massive. Both were sized S+.
4) QC - NOT worth $100+. The butterflies were cheap, with the rhinestones shabbily glued on. Bralette clasp was extremely difficult to open and close. Materials were not terrible, but certainly not luxury - the mesh/tulle seems very prone to snags/tears and stretching - don't expect typical bralette support. The embroidery and overall look were beautiful, so props for that.
5) While this shipped from Pennsylvania, they want the return to go back to the UK, tracked. What gives? Thank goodness for PayPal.
They suggested exchanging just the bralette, but because I couldn't get a clear answer on whether this bralette runs large and I should size down again, or if this was a labeling error and I just needed an actual S+, I'm returning the whole thing. I'm not going to risk an exchange that doesn't work out, putting the entire order outside the return window.
Has anyone tried Empress Mimi subscription boxes? Its lingerie, so its not bra sizing, BUT, they have sizing going up to a UK GG cup, and they consider 28 and 30 bands. (Like the way Bravissimo does Curvy, Really Curvy, Super Curvy). I'm curious how accurate it is, because if an S+ or an S++ fits... dang those pieces are gorgeous!
Yes! It has been pretty hit or miss for me so far. The S++ has mostly fit me at 32H UK, though there are a couple that are definitely limited to bedroom use only due to a fairly perilous fit on top. I've received 6 so far, and 3 fit really well and are comfortable for everyday use. The other 3 are super sexy and fit well enough for bedroom use.
@dorkyfaerie thank you! The size chart puts me at barely a S++, as a 30F/FF. But based on what you say, it sounds like if I'd be better off with the S+?
I have yet to try Scantilly even though a few of their styles appeal to me. I have just struck out so badly with Curvy Kate that I won't try Scantilly until I get somewhere with free returns ...
There are so many curvy Kate bras that are so beautiful ugh. I haven’t had luck with CK bras, and found their sizing inconsistent. Plus like you mentioned, I cannot deal with their gores :(
Okay, I may or may not have just impulsively spent $110 on a Katherine Hamilton bra and panties because they're having a huge sale, even though all their styles have the high gores that tend to irritate me. But their stuff is soooo pretty, I couldn't help it!!
They don't have a ton of sizes left in stock, but a bunch ...of styles are up to 80% off (and the bottoms are on sale, too, not just the bras) so definitely go check it out! The bra I bought was originally 130 pounds, so $180, but I got the bra AND panties for $110 because shipping was free. Dare I say...score? Read more 50 more words
has anyone go through this online bra fitting course? or is this a scam? i'm interested in taking it, but just because. i don't want to get a job as a fitter anytime soon, i just thought it would be neat to learn and get a certificate. what do u all think?
Both Breakout Bras and Her Room have the In My Dreams sleep bra up on their websites. I'm tempted to try it out, even though the other Curvy Kate bralettes I've tried are too small in the cup for me.
so i wanted to sign up for lingerieoutletstore newsletter to get the first time order promo code and it's not working. i tried using their contact form and it isn't working either... does anybody know what their first time order promo code is?
Hey everyone, Comexim's Valentine's sale (10 - 14th Feb) is only on selected models this year so I asked which these were and thought I'd share <3 Joanna says the promotion will be on: DALIA, ANABELLA, VALENTINA, EMMA, CARMEN, SCOTTIE, PIUME NOTTE, LULU, DOLCE, MOZAIC, PRINCESS, CHIARA, MOULIN ROGUE BORDO, ROSE,RITA, ERIS, ROZALIA, KARINA, LIVIA ... alt=":)" />
This will be my first comexim order! Thinking of Chiara as a 3HC but sadly there's no photos of a 3HC version on this site yet but I assume the black lace overlay would still be ok over the 3HC? Is anyone else thinking of making a purchase? I got super excited and made a little list with links and current prices in case it's useful to anyone else:
So I already opened the Bravissimo chat for all fans to join and just chat about the brand, new releases, etc. Since I recently really got into Elomi I wanna do the same. Pls join if you love their bras and lets chat a bit.
Elomi AW2020 collection is delayed and some bras are gonna release now in 2021. love that collection, So many awesome bras. They really stepped up their game recently. Quality and fit is amazing and I love how most bras have now the firmer wires.
Weird to chime in as I've never actually tried Elomi, but am curious!
I've had a discounted Soraya Rose in my basket for a while now, only size is 32GG/US32J - and I'm contemplating whether that will fit me at quite a 'full' UK32G/USS32I
:/
bubblegum thanks for your comment :) Soraya is a pretty bra I wish I would have gotten one back when it was still available. It looks to me similar in cut to Sachi which I had tried once. In my experience they are more closed on top and tend to cut in on fot boobs so sometimes it's recommended to size up. So maybe it could be worth a try for you? :)
Does anyone know when the new collection of Elomi comes out? I cannot find any info on SS21 yet. I know not all bras of SS20 are out yet and it looked like some will not be available at all? (Why is Lucie already discontinued?)
I read on Stanikomania and/or Hourglassy that some bra companies had pushed collections back because of the pandemic. Many stores were/are not able to make orders because they were unable to open or sell much because of lockdowns. I suspect there are also manufacturing and shipping difficulties. So some labels are doing smaller collections than usual, some scrapped some of their announced releases, and some postponed entire collections (e.g., A/W 2020 will now be A/W 2021). I am not sure what Elomi in particular is doing, but that might explain some of the weirdness.
Hey! I've "found" this "new" bra brand called @Cuup . They have a decent size range, 30-38 band and 1/A-8/H cup sizes. They do a kind of mix of US/EU letters. I wish the world would just adopt the UK standard sizes (though I kind of wish that cup increments went by half inch/1cm). I love the way these bras look! Though ...I don't think the Balconette style they have will fit many people very well. It cuts straight across and does not appear to be stretchy. So unless they've figured out how to do that and not have in cut in or gape, I think the Plunge, Scoop & Triangle styles look quite promising. There are a few in the database, but not enough to get a good understanding of their sizing. Their bra size calculator is OK. They do the whole +2 thing with the band size. If their bands run small, could be a good thing. But it gives a better damn starting size than most places. I'm going to buy one for sure. They recommend I purchase their 32F, so I'll give it a try even though I would typically get a 30 band. I'll get the 30-32 E-F(DD-E UK conversion). Given my weight change I would typically go with a 28-30 DD-F (UK). And that'll give me 4 Cuup bras to add to the database. I sure hope they aren't just another "looks good" brand. Because they look so good and they look really high quality in the close up pictures on their site. They also tell you what size each model is wearing and they actually look fairly well fitted. I am afraid they are going to have really wide wires as they do look wide on some of the models. The reviews look good, but they are only so trust worthy, IMO, as we all know most women are in terribly fitting bras! What do you guys think? Read more 257 more words
Thanks for sharing. I liked the triangle and scoop bras, the others not so much. They also don't look like they would do much for support in the larger cup sizes, do look fine for the smaller size ranges. $68 each seems a bit much for such a simple bra, I could get a similar Aerie bra for half the cost.
@thelittleone , why do you think that they would not support bigger chested ladies? Seems like they would do just fine IMO as long as the band and cups actually fit. I'm not Sure when 66$ became a lot for a bra, especially in this day and age. Most bra companies sell their bras for about that price. Freya, Curvy Kate, Panache/Cleo, Glamorise and TheLittleBraCompany. Even the polish bras go for about that much, maybe 10-15$ less. While one could go to Aerie for a bra half that cost, I couldn't find a single bra on their website similar to any of them available on Cuup. Not only that, they only offer sizes :1-:6 and only on a limited band range, 32-36. 30 band is only available in A-D and 38/40 only offer A-DD. AND they're still telling women if their ribcage measures 30 inches then they should be wearing a size 34 band. Also, their full price bras are between 50-60$. They're just ALWAYS on sale lol. While I know the majority of people don't give a crap or follow the same morals as me. I will always support the smaller company that is trying to do better over the cookie cutter fast fashion company who offers their products at slave wages. Which I'm sure 100% more than you wanted to read lol.
I love it!
thanks for posting.
