Sweet Revenge Lingerie Custom-Fit Bra/Panty Set Review

Hello fellow bra-lovers!! I wanted to share with you a designer that I have had the good fortune to find in my area, her name is Catherine Fritsch, and she owns Sweet Revenge Lingerie in Noblesville, Indiana. She has the coolest shop right on the square in downtown Noblesville, and you get a sense of drama once you ... walk up the antique stairs to her suite as she was involved in theatre for years before opening her shop.

I have been on a quest to find the ultimate soft-cup bra for sleeping, and I found her Custom-Fit Bra/Panty set online through a photographer friend of mine, and just had to try it! She was very friendly through the whole emailing process of taking my measurements for the garments, and sent me a diagram picture of exactly how to take the measurements she needed. I placed the order on a Thursday, and by the following Monday it was in my hands Now, having large breasts is a big challenge if you haven't designed for them before, as the weight of them can throw off the measurements. I had measured 15 inches from my collar bone down to the bottom of the breast cup, but because of the weight of my breasts, it stretched out the fabric even more and lacked support. So, as I was in Indy for errands anyway I stopped by her shop last Wednesday and had her fit it to me to make sure we got it tight enough. She ended up taking up the straps about two inches, I believe, maybe a bit more, as it will stretch with wear. I opted for an over-the-shoulder strap vs. a halter, as that can be painful for large breasts. I received the altered garments today, and they are great! I ordered a size Medium in the briefs, and I wish I had given her my measurements for them, as the elastic around the thighs is a bit tight at first. After wearing them the first time they really stretched out nicely, however, and as they are low-rise with a firm stretchy lace they really are flattering and supportive. There is a two-tone option, where you can get the fabric and the lace in different colors, such as the hot pink/black lace and white/light blue lace she shows on her site, but you can order any color that she can get in that fabric.

All in all it was a great experience, and now that we have a template for my body I can order this set in different colors!! In Curvy Kate I'm a 28HH, so this was a Godsend to find!!!

May 03, 2013 -- Miss Underpinnings' Ewa Michalak Workshop Tour

Very cool!

Because I'm personally very interested in pattern making, what struck me most though is this picture: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XZDNfUuRzxQ/UYE9sXHNMtI/AAAAAAAAC2Q/x-EC17-PsVw/s1600/IMG_1156.JPG. See how the pattern pieces are labelled? It seems the different models -- CH, CHP, HP -- use at least some of the same pattern pieces, combined with some different ones, almost as if the models are 'modular' in a way! This is such a revelation for me and I think it can really help understanding the fit differences between these three models

• I saw that one last night and fell in love. So much that I started considering a Ewa order for the first time..lol.. I LOVE it. I have never ordered a Ewa, and with all that I have read about on here, I have been put off..But, this.. Just gorgeous. I have no idea what size to get in Ewa, and it would not be a inexpensive bra for me with post..but... What does the S stand for in terms of style? anyone know? There looks to be 2 styles of this bra, a plunge maybe and halfcup?? too gorgeous.

• For the S bras, it's slightly like a plunge and half cup and the result is quite nice for large busts. The SM is the unpadded version of the S shape.

  Don't you also have a gift voucher to use?

There's a new Malaysian bra company...

...called Neubodi. It was founded in 2008 but honestly, I've only heard about them a couple of years ago. WAY before I'm into this bra-fitting revolution. I've never paid attention to them because they are one of those mamaeffing expensive bra brands and to be honest, I couldn't afford it.

So today I bought a local fashion magazine, and in it ... was this card from Neubodi. I decided to check their website to see what size range they have. From my observation, I think they are using EU/US/JP sizing? I'm not sure. Most start from 32-40 B-G, but there are a few models that start from 30-38 D-I.

It's nowhere near Freya/Panache/CK sizing, but impressive enough in this bra wasteland country where the usual is 30-32 A-C and 34-40 A-D.

They don't sell online, and the stores are all currently in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia's capital) which is like 4 hours away from me and I hate KL with a passion. According to the website, they do holistic fitting method which I'm curious about. Maybe one of these days I'll take a bus and go down there and see what it is all about and check how their size runs. The bra designs are of that typical Asian design, which I love (and frankly, missed because I used to wear a lot of that design when I was in 34C) because the support is awesome.

I just need to grab a sugar daddy along the way to support my spending.

• Fold shorts are very very flattering to wear :) They're impossible to swim in though, at least the ones I have: the folded part kind of fills with air, 'unfolds' and flaps around annoyingly when in the water ... just be sure not to be caught by an underwater camera ;)

• If you are not determined to order from the drop down menu, why not ask for a special order S bra with lower wires on the side?
  I seem to remember it gave you a smashing shape, imho much better then the pl :)

• They will make any S bra as a PL (for 20 zloty extra, of course). I just ordered a PL Ivette this morning.

I'm sure you guys are sick of hearing from me because lately I've been using Bra Adventures as a way to talk about my random thoughts about bras.

Once upon a time, I knew I measured a 30FF and got fitted in a lingerie shot as a 32E. Whatever, but I tried on the Prima Donna Madison, and fell in ... love, because god damn, it's so comfortable and gives me an amazing shape. But it's expensive. And doesn't come anywhere near my size.

The upcoming Panache Envy is looking an awful lot like it though, and even though I don't even think the bra itself is pretty, I get flashbacks to how comfortable that bra was when I look at it.

Weird, huh?

• It's not classically pretty, but the houndstooth lace is pretty cute. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. That's not a very flattering look on that model overall though.

• For crossdresser, maybe? On a light note, this may be good for shallow breasts. But then again, the bra band even rides up on the male model, I don't know how big the band is...and also, size S, M, L, XL? Bahaha this is amusing. :D

• I think it's good! I don't believe bras should only be a female thing, more than I believe skirts should be a female thing. I've tried so hard to be allowed putting a bra on a guy with very perfect perky pointy boobs but I'm not allowed *sigh*

• OOh.. that light green is pretty! THe pink spot Zia is not a limited edition, I have seen it a bit. But I do think it came out a bit after the yellow spot one.

I got the Jeunique bra today!

Sadly, it doesn't fit... right now. I have a feeling that as the pregnancy progresses it just may fit XD

And also, it does seem to be a nursing bra of some sort... and you really should measure for the cups according to that weird system of theirs! iheartgraphpaper was right :/

Review and measurements later, just thought I'd drop a quick note to let y'all know it arrived!

EDIT: I already put in data and stuff, but it doesn't seem to be showing up when I search for it... Hmm.

• I just discovered that I got mine too! It's too small in the cups (and SO POINTY) but wow it is the best fitting band I have ever encountered. Four hooks! Little stretch! Totally no need for underwire! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a bigger size. More later...
