• If you have a store that keeps those sizes in stock, go try them on. All of them. Yes, it will take time, but do it. If you don't have a store near you that stocks those sizes, go to an online retailer that does. @HerRoom is an example, but there are others. Choose one with a good return policy and if you can afford it, choose a style and get multiple sizes. If you're struggling with underwires, consider a bralette. If the bralette sizing isn't working (S, M, L isn't for everyone, and that's fine) consider unwired bras. Finally, a number of online retailers showcase bras built for specific body and breast attributes as do the blogs available here. Reading up on different parts of a bra and different bra constructions can help you make a choice based on your body. Hope this helps, good luck!

  You would want to search, for example, "30D bra" and then check "ships worldwide" as well. I see some bras in that size, brand new, listed for less than $10 usd (I'm jealous!) Not sure how much the shipping is...a lot of these places accept returns within 30 days, too.

  If you sister-size up to 32C or 32D, you'll get even more bras to choose from! They might be too loose in the band though.

• That must really suck, I’m sorry. 😔 wish there was something I could do to help. For bras so expensive, they should really de-complicate returns. I just bought a KH second hand from a user here, and I’m happy not to directly patronize them and hopefully provide a neglected bra with a loving home.

• If I email and don't get a reply I will message the company on social media. I recently waited on hold with an airline company for an hour and never got to a person but it took only a few minutes to reply to my direct message and solve my issue. It's worth a try if you haven't heard back from them yet.

• Polish bras are a treasure. I am currently awaiting my Lupoline and Nessa bras and feel really excited about them.

• BlackieBird That's exciting! I quite like the Nessa bras I have so far but I've never tried Lupoline. I wanted to include a Lupoline bra in my order but I had no clue about the brand's sizing. I hope the bras work for you! Please let us know how they fit :)

• Some people post under "favorites" a list of their favourite bras. (however, I just kind of use that list as my "wish list" of bras...also I don't think I have the list visible).

  that's why I find the "follow" feature useful on bratabase - you can follow people with your similar size and shape (or just because you find their reviews interesting, lol).

  Also, some people have a little intro about their shape, and what bras work best for them in their shape/size (e.g. Happy2BraShop https://www.bratabase.com/@happy2brashop or WildWolff https://www.bratabase.com/@wildwolff)

  I think only by reading bratabase reviews (time consuming, yes...but I always read the reviews before I buy a bra online!) will you be able to find people with your similar size/shape. Also, bra blogs.

  Btw, breasts that are larger at the end than at the breast root are called "omega-shaped breasts," there might be some good blog articles about this shape, e.g. https://hugsforyourjugs.blogspot.com/2021/10/omega-vs-projected-which-are-you-and.html

  You could go under your size and see which are the most popular bras. HoWeVeR, that doesn't account for breast shape at all. So, obviously, popularity of the bra doesn't mean that it's going to work for you.

• There is a little known feature hidden under a link that nobody clicks on.

  When you got to a model's page for a bra you like, for example Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951). There's a "Users' list" menu that's hidden under the "more >" link at the right of the menu that contains "Measurements table", "Size range",

  That "Users' list" contains a link of people's lists that contain this bra. And below that list you can see which are the top other bras that are usually grouped with this. So it's kinda like People who liked X also liked Y.

  Note that this is only grouping by how people have grouped them in their lists, this does not feed from any fit or measurements data.

  Caveat, the pages are a bit slow to load, I need to work on optimizing that.

• That's a great question. Since I changed sizes, I recently bought 2 Gorteks bras (if I ever get them) from Poland that were on a deep discount. I basically chose a style that was super popular (this one https://www.bratabase.com/browse/gorteks/marilyn-soft-bra-b-202/) that had bloggers review it, and lots of bratabase reviews so I could determine [what I think would be] my size.
  Then I ordered another one - also deeply discounted - in same size. SO WE WILL SEE if they are sized consistently between styles!! LOL.

  I've read Gorteks can be inconsistent is band sizes?? But IDK.

  Also, by the time they will arrive, I might have changed sizes again, lol. But they were pretty cheap. so...could always list them, I suppose.

  I'm only aware of one store that sells them in the U.S.?? Her Underthings, but there's probably more.
  But unfortunately, she only sell her Clearance bras online https://herunderthings.square.site/shop/clearance-bras/15?page=1&limit=60&sort_by=category_order&sort_order=asc so there's no way to try on and return them.

  So I'm just saying, I don't really know how to order from them, but it's also a brand I'm investigating!!

• Honestly it isn't a good idea to measure yourself for different brands. The best thing to do (that i have found works for most and in my opinion) is to use your UK sizing standard and I would convert that directly and then I would research the database to see if I could find any information on that particular brand. If I could not find any information, I would order 2 cup sizes larger. It seems to work out fairly well in most cases (for polish brands, i.e Comexim. Ewa Michalak is the exception). I find trying to follow any of their sizing charts or recommendations just ends up with you wearing a similar sized bra to if you went to Victorias Secret and got measured there. All the EU/Polish sizing charts have the Plus 4 method built into it. So they immediately add 4 inches/10 cm to your band size. If you wearing a 34GG in UK sizes you may find you are sized out of Gorteks. You would want to try the 75J. If you order a size 90 band, that would be the same as ordering a size 40 band in the US or UK.

• Confirm if true, but reductions do not change the breast root, and only reduce the projection of the breast, so a reduced breast would start off as having a shallower shape since it probably keeps its original "big boob" foot print.

  That said, it's also true that it can be up to 6 months or more for them to settle into their final shape.

  Nipple position may also be in an unexpected place, you'll quickly see if your nipples are high and have to avoid short cups to avoid peeking.

  It is true that often the root is the same, although not all large breasts have a large or wide footprint. Many are small or narrow but very projected (or sagging in my case, LOL), but not wide in diameter. Also, depending on the procedure, part of the diameter is reduced by a pie-shaped wedge removed, providing lift/projection, or a more conical end shape.
  It's true shape takes time to settle.
  I apologize, I should have been more clear that I am seeking finding out shapes in bras, not my breast shape, at this point.
  If it makes sense, I used to need a narrow, projected wired/cup, (Freyas, Ewa Michalak) but will now need still narrow, but yes, shallower cups, and have no clue of mainstream bras, where I can name any full cup bra shape/projection, LOL.
  Like, are Maidenform or Warners narrow in underwires? It's a whole new library of manufacturer for me to explore!

  I have no worries about nipple height, although they were "raised" a couple inches, they are now in what would be an expected place in the right bra. My surgeon drew on me where everything would end up, and surprisingly, even the space between my breasts is now narrower.
  I can't wait to walk into a store and buy an in-stock mainstream size!

• oof, the closest is the Flirtelle Spiro Plunge Bra (FL7711) that is the same cut as the LifeStyle, and comes in JJ cups but only in bands 32 and app. Not to mention that Flirtelle shut down a couple of years ago :(

• I've never been! I live in Canada, so I have not ordered from there either (international shipping either way - from the U.S., or from the U.K).
  I have pretty projected, so I found what I need in Polish bras, and they're so reasonably priced when one buys direct from Poland (well, most places!!)

Buying bras at a local boutique, versus purchasing bras online for 1/3 of the price

I don't know if I'm allowed to do this (this is a discussion I posted on reddit, with a link to a blog article) ...it's counterintuitive but there is nothing wrong morally with purchasing bras online for half price/one third of the price of a local bra boutique.

If I had to "purchase locally" I don't even know what that would look like, lol. I mean, what fabrics would they use?

• So this argument feels pretty weird to me.

  The point about 'buying local' doesnt only mean supporting local crafters or manufacturers, but also supporting local merchants. There are bra boutiques in most larger towns, and small to large cities, which carry a wider variety of bras than what you can get at the mall or a big-box store. So if you buy from these local boutiques, you are supporting a local small business owner, who is employing local salespeople, and paying local taxes.

  yes, the bra may have a markup. And there are very few physical stores anywhere (outside of EU) that sell polish bras. If there is such a place near you, you might be able to actually try on the bras, and for some people, thats worth paying the markup vs buying something and waiting until it gets to you to try it on. Likewise, if they have your size in stock, you can bring it home that day rather than waiting for 2 months for the shipment from Poland.

  OTOH, my size is almost impossible to find, even in boutiques, at least not in the 3 models I think fit me well enough. There is 1 boutique near me, but if i want a bra and they dont have it in stock, I have to custom order through them, and then I'm obligated to buy it - no returns.

  So for me, its made more sense to buy on line.

  but if it a boutique actually had bras I wanted to buy, it might be worth a 10% markup or maybe 20, to be able to try it on and take it home same day.

  As for the concept of buying local in general - well, I'm addicted to amazon. I cant stand running around to a bunch of stores, trying to find a weird item i need, and not having any idea if this is really a good one or not - so for TONS of things, I buy on amazon - including clothes these days - not pants, but leggings, sweaters, underpants and socks, kitchen items, electronics, tons of things.

  I do try to buy local at my farmers market though - produce mostly, and meat, and I bought a hand-knit cap there 2 weeks ago, too!

  I dont think 'having more money to spend' is a moral argument . . .

• I like the idea of buying local when it makes sense in the current climate and with my lifestyle. I buy local produce when it's available, use the local dairy for regular delivery, and shop farmers markets in the summer but don't have that option in the winter. Growing up in Hawaii, I could get most things I needed locally and it made more sense because shipping was astronomical (now they have Amazon prime and other options so that has changed). In college I didn't have a car or good public transportation and I was very poor so I relied heavily on Amazon for free shipping to get what I needed. I live in Denver now, a large metropolitan area that somehow only has one local bra store that carries bras under a 32 band. The options for a 30 band are minimal and cost over $115USD. I would have to drive over an hour for another store that wasn't Nordstrom or a large company. I justify my online bra purchases because they're quality and long lasting. I have enough bras in my rotation for them to last years, assuming my size doesn't change. And if they didn't fit, I could list them here and someone else can make use of them for a long time. My furniture and clothing and other material items aren't local and come from all over, but they'll last me a long time. If there was a local shop that sold or even made bras that fit me like my favorites do, I would spend a lot more to get them locally. I don't have that option, so I purchase online. Based on the current world and my lifestyle, I find places where I can be more ethical/support local, and when I can't, that's okay. Most of my Christmas gifts this year are handmade or purchased from small businesses, and that makes me feel better about buying bras on black Friday.

• I did not plan to spend so much on bras for Black Friday, but I did and I'm not surprised lol. I got a bra and bikini from Comexim, also not processed until January so I'm hoping it gets here in time for my Hawaii trip in February. I also got some Kindred Bravely bralettes, a Bravissimo bra, and two Ewa Michalak sets for my mom. I hope your Comexim and Gorsenia bras are successful fits!

R/cd my B.o.B. order....mistakes were made, lol

Not on their part, my part selecting them!

One bra (strapless bra - LUXE) wayyy too TALL in the cups. I can tell without even taking out of the packing, it's not gonna work. My quest for a strapless bra continues!

The second purchase - kind of an impulse buy - way too small I can tell (In their defense, the reviews said it ran small).

At least the last thing looks promising!! : )

• It was @jlcl119. I still maintain that this is an SM or BM and not an HM though as there's a horizontal seam across the upper cup along with the vertical seam on the lower cup.
