Being subscribed to Of Lambs and Lace is bad for my wallet. Because now that I know these adorable panties exist, I must get some for myself... seriously, ugh, they're so cute. I might wait for them to make size XS though because Lamb said the smalls were loose on her, and I think she's extremely similar in size to me. so I'm waiting. keenly.

haha, u win. :)
So, what do I want to do when I'm cranky about life? Buy bras! Of course, its cheaper to just talk about it instead of doing it. But there are 2 EMs for sale here which are basically my size. not a color i particularly love . . . but . . sigh

the colors will grow on you ;)
I used to do that with shoes, but now finding bras is my past time of choice. I am hoping the new Nordstrom's Rack will carry the bigger cup sizes as I register an H and I would like to try on a few different styles without the cost of returns.

SmallBandBella post about her month long wait for a Comexim reminded me... I saw something about Anna Pardal For Comexim was behind on orders would that also mean Comexim is behind as well or are they to totally different production lines. I'm going crazy waiting for my first order!!!!!!

4 weeks isn't bad for a Comexim order. Mine usually take about 3-3.5 or so. If they're behind its not by a lot. I did hear AP was behind by months though!! Hope not!
Yeah I ordered on Aug 31st but I desperately need new bigger bras so the wait seems like forever LOL. The first week wasn't bad but this week I keep checking the order status 2-10 times a day LOL

I found a Freya Hopscotch longline at Nordstrom Rack in a 32E. It fit decently, but I definitely need it in a 30 band. The 32 fit best on the tightest hooks and there were only 2 sets of hooks. The cups were filled pretty well with only the slightest gape in the lace. I'm trying to ... decide if I should sister size to a 30F or if a 30E would get the lace to fit better? I think some of the gape on the 32E did go away when I tightened the band. In most Freyas 30F will fit but have gaping and 30E seems to be a good fit.

I feel my bra bands being uncomfortably tight in the last couple of weeks. There is no change in measurements and I have not gained weight either. Any ideas why this is happening?

maybe a small cold/flu, so your ribs maybe more sensitive?
Laurizle I didn't notice a cold, but definitely more sensitive. only wearing my softest, streachiest band bras lately. now I'm guessing maybe my back muscles are stiffer than usual and in need of a good massage.

I've been using the handwash setting on my machine for my lingerie for forever. However, recently I noticed that some of my jersey type bras/panties (Ewa Michalak Sm Malinka (392) for example) are getting pilly lines in them. Almost like a stocking run type look.
Anyway, I don't know why this is happening but I'm switching to a soak and spin method by hand. So, those of you that use salad spinners to help speed the drying process, what one do you use and would you recommend it?
Thanks!

The first time i washed my EM Eden, which has a lovely lace overlay, I forgot to close the clasps and put the bras in lingerie bags and a hook caught on the lace. I have decided not to look too closely - I am not willing to stop using my hand wash setting lol. I might consider turning off the final spin tho - do you have that option?
dbmamaz no, I don't think so. I'm not sure what the lines are from. I always use bags and always hook, I can't think of anything that would catch on them.
I don't really mind doing them by hand, it gives me something else to do during the day while everyone else is gone.

FYI: I believe my boobs to be very wide set, but not extremely wide rooted, short, with average to a lot of (?) immediate projection at the bottom, and with some fulness on top. They are quite self supporting.
I am officially confused.
With my 32G - Freya » Marvel Side Panel Bra (1501) I have a problem ... with some empty space in the bottom of the cups. The wires sit a little (1 finger's width) below my IMF in the middle of my boob, but not at the sides. I did a fit request for this, and the general consensus was that the cups were too shallow for me.
So I got a more narrow and projected bra (32G - Cleo » Minnie Balconnet Bra (7431) ) that at first seemed to fit perfectly, so I thought problem solved. But alas, after a few wears the Minnie is doing the EXACT same thing; the wires slide down from my IMF about 1 finger's width in the middle. When I hoist them back up to my IMF, they just slide back down again. Scooping & swooping is not the answer, I tried doing it, I tried not doing it, the result is the same.
So what can be the cause of this issue?
It could be an orange in glass type thing, where my boobs are either too projected or wide rooted for the bras, but as one bra is very wide and a bit shallow (Freya), and the other is more narrow and projected (Minnie) you would expect at least one of them to stay in my IMF. Or could it be that I need even more immediate projection than the Minnie affords?
The bands are certainly not too tight. I tried wearing the bras with an extender, but the problem remains.
So that leaves me with some wild guesses:
Could it be a wire shape thing? What if the wires are too UU shaped for me, and my short boobs need more of a gently sloped wire? The wires of the Minnie are more U shaped than the Marvel wires, yet both give me the exact same amount of empty space at the bottom.
My torso is a bit tapered, could that cause the band to slide down? If so, how would I remedy that?
What would you suggest I tried next?

It could be that both bras are too shallow for you. Minnie is a more FoT style, so it may not have enough space in the bottom of the cup. As for the wire width, when you take Minnie off at the end of the day where are the red marks? If they're on your tissue, it is too narrow for you. You can try bending the wires wider and narrower to see if either changes the fit. If you think the band is too loose at the bottom, you can sew through the elastic on the bottom in a straight line. This will tighten that part of the band and reduce stretch. It could also be that you don't have a U shaped IMF. You can bend wires into a more nike swoosh shape (or any other shape you might have) if this is the case. Hopefully some of that helps!
Hm, maybe I should indeed try a style that is more FoB friendly instead. I think I'm more FoT or at least evenly full (I get a lot of FoT problems in other bras and I fill out the tops of the Minnie and Marcie quite well), but who knows, I might be wrong there? Maybe trying a Lucy could shed some light on this...
I have no red marks after wearing either bra, so I think the wires of are not too narrow or sitting on my boob. I just looked at my boob and my IMF is definitely not a U shape, so a gentler curve than the Minnie should be better for me. However, I think the Freya has that, but I still get the same problem (probably because that one is too shallow).
Bending out the wires of the Minnie would make that bra even shallower I suppose, so I guess that should not help (plus I quite like that it pushes my boobs forward a bit). It's weird that this is happening all of a sudden when this bra did fit so perfectly before.
I got a ton of bras in the mail the past few days, unfortunately many of them didn't work so great. I am looking to sell or exchange them. Check out my listings. I have Cleos, Panache, Freya, b.tempted and more 30F, 30FF, 32DD, and soon to come a 28F, still need to take pics. Would really prefer to exchange. Looking for 30E/F and 32DD/E, I think I need a 30E in Freya 30F kind of fits.

I have Cleo, Panache (including Sport), and Freya bras listed in sizes 30F, 30FF, 30G, 30GG, 28H, 32FF, and 28DD! Some are in new condition. I'm trying to save enough money to buy a few more nursing bras from Comexim so I don't wear out the two I have too quickly. I also really need a sports bra or two as the one I have is quickly wearing out. Thanks!

so i finally got my comexim half cups today, after they sent me the wrong bra the first time.
i purchased the elena, mimi, and papillion half cups.
the mimi fits by far the best, but on all of them i have space at the bottom of the cups, but the top fits great.
i'm not sure what to do...
i've tried the plunge style bras they have and i fit into the bottom of the cups, but gap at the top...
so is it official, does comexim not work for me?
any ideas/suggestions please.

Have you tried ordering the plunges with reduced/lowered cups? They can reduce them more than the standard amount for you. Alternately, have you tried a cup size lower?
i've tired a ton of different sizes and when i went a cup size down i quadded out of it :(
i have not special ordered from them because i want to be able to return it, plus since my very first order they messed up i'm afraid they will mess up again :(

6pm's pretty late for the UK! Most shops here close around 5, it only really tends to be big supermarkets that close later than 6 :p

Fortnight lingerie
thank you. will check it out.
I start to think that new models, especially padded ones, start to come with straps that are aesthetically too wide for my taste. I feel like they look too industrial, and I'm definitely not comfortable if somebody else gets a peek of my straps. I feel too matronly. I mean, I'm only a 32G/70G, I don't need that much support.
I tried to contact them and asked them for narrower straps, but I had no success.

Yeah, unfortunately, Ewa Michalak does not do custom alterations to their bras like Comexim. They come as-is. I'm surprised the straps are so wide in your size, though. When I was between 70HH and 70J in her padded bras, I noticed the straps were much wider in 70J compared to 70HH, even in the same models, so I just assumed that's where the "jump" was. How many bras have you gotten that had wide straps? Actually, let me ask this instead -- what is the measurement of the straps you're unhappy about? How wide are they?
I've added 56 Ewa Michalak bras to Bratabase in various sizes, so I just took a look at my strap measurements. For the straps *I'd* consider wide, the measurement is between 2.3 - 2.5 inches (usually size 70J and bigger). For the straps that I considered narrow, the measurement is between 1.8 - 2.0 inches (usually size 70HH). I'm curious if yours measure what I consider narrow or wide. :)
Note: For anyone reading, I'm referring to actual width of the strap material, not the strap placement.
Yeah, i totally misread it at first. I actually LOVE the wide straps I have in 32J. But i am older lol.

Someone help me, I am confused about EM sizing. I'm currently a 30H/32GG. When I converted my measurements to cm, and calculated my size on the website, it said 75D??? How could I be a D? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm not familiar with the EM calculator, but you're not the first funky result I've heard of. I'd disregard it. EM uses Euro bands and UK cups. Often time your cup size is the same. Start with 65H/70GG. Look those sizes up here and get a feel for their measurements and compare to your current bras. The measurements and fit is what matters in the end, not the letter size anyways.
I wear 30FF in UK brands and 30FF in Ewa's bras. Sometimes I'll get a 30FF in her bras, sometimes I will get a 30FF with a 65cm band (so actually a 26H) - which I then either sell as its measured size (people snap that shit up within like an hour!) or wear an extender, I would recommend going for 65H and 70GG too.

I stopped by a boutique in Lima, OH on my way home from a work trip today. I'm glad I made it a stop on my way home and didn't make the hour drive there as a special trip. I thought that they would have exceptional fitters based on reading their website and Facebook page. I go ... in and am asked if I've been in before or need help with anything. I said I was hoping to get fitted. She asks what size now, I mention 30E/F and 32DD/E and occasionally other sizes depending on the brand. She asks what style of bra I like and I say plunge and moulded cup, but am open. She grabs me a a couple bras to get started I think she brought me 32E and leaves to let me try on the first bra. It's a Fantasie (not sure of the model but it's a tshirt bra of some sort), this was a horrible fit for me, I can't remember for sure now if it was too big and the cups were to tall or if the cups were just too tall. She checks the fit, and doesn't really have a lot to say otIher than it wasn't a good fit and it was too big. I mentioned the cups seemed tall too. She brings back some other bras in varying sizes including some Freyas in 30D which are on clearance, I was wondering what she was thinking with that, but considering she had yet to see me in a bra that came even close to fitting she probably assumed I had no clue what size I was.
The clearance Freyas are $19.99 so I figure I'll give them a try anyhow. As I suspected they don't fit. I have her come back and she is mostly focused on the cups needing to come up higher, when the major concern was how much boob was showing out of the side of the cup near my armpit. She goes back out to look for other sizes and comes back with a different Freya in a 30E. I try it on and it's not bad the cups are quite stiff though. I notice the price is over $80 though. I finish up trying on a couple of the other bras she had brought back. There was another Fantasie which it seemed to fit okay but for some reason the cup kept getting random wrinkles despite being well filled and it was very plain, and also over priced. I can't remember what the other bra was, but it was unlined and a full coverage style, I could tell by looking at it it wouldn't work. I still try it and I think I could have fit both boobs in one cup.
I bring out the bras and she asks if anything worked. I said the one Freya did, but the cups were just too stiff (no way I was spending that much on a bra). I mention I loved the other 2 Freyas that were on clearance, and wished they had fit, she says she can't order those any more. Still she pulls out the Freya book to show me other styles and asks if I want to order anything. I tell her I will hold off and might stop by again when I'm in the area.
Don't get me wrong the sales lady was helpful, but I don't know that she really had any idea what she was doing. She just brought sizes and said to try it because you never really know. I also never had a chance to browse the racks on my own. I might still stop by if I'm in the area though to check the clearance, but I won't be asking for fitting help.

I found the ritzier shop in my town less helpful than the smaller shop - except that the smaller shop had nothing in my size at all (32J)
Even the short version is long, so bear with me. Measurements at the time were roughly equal to 28.5/34.5, hence the disparity in sizes.
Ordered the Parfait By Affinitas Madeline Wire Bra (4502) in Black/Blue and White/Nude in a 30D. (Because sticker shock and they were sold out of the 30DD.) The black fit beautifully, while the white . ... . . I gave to my sister, who actually IS a 30D, lol. So there's one for two.
I also did the Grab Bag, but after much back and forth with Customer Service, went with a UK 28F. (Sigh.) The Cleo Juna Balconnet Bra (6461) ? Fit great, just a little loose lace. The Cleo Lana Balconnet Bra (6981) ? Also fit well, with a little loose material on the upper cup . The Cleo Jude (5846) ? Fits like a too small bikini top, which is extremely weird, but still wearable. And then, finally, there's the Masquerade Lula Mae (6166) . Holy. Crap. I mean, I hate full coverage bras, but this isn't full coverage. This is a plunge for a 28GHIJKL. It's ridiculous how much extra fabric there is. So that's about about 2.25 for four.
And now, I have no idea what to do. I may need to list the 28F's, if only because they were still slightly too big when I was mid-period and off gym. Do I try to order a grab bag in 28E? Because I'm pretty sure the sweet spot is a 28D2 (28DD/E). Do I just try to trade all of them? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

From your grab bag it looks like that last bra runs big, if you read all the reviews.
The problem is, sizes are not really standard. You cant just pick a size and order all bras in that size. You really have to find bras that do fit, find other bras that have a similar fit (similar width and depth, adn similar reviews as far as shape compatibilities).
But if the Juna and Lana mostly fit, why not keep them? and maybe check out other Cleos. You didnt do any reviews or pics of the bras?
I noticed that, but was amazed at how large it ran, you know? And definitely wouldn't have ordered it, if I had had a choice in the grab bag.
I didn't want to do any reviews until I was sure that the poor fit was due to cut, not size. You're right, I do need to post pics, though, if only to check fit. I spent most of my free time yesterday measuring and entering their info, and will probably do the rest tonight.
On the upside, this has definitely helped me determine my shape, lol
