Pros: price ($8!) Cons: lace trim noticeable under clothing I managed to snag this bra for $8 at my local Winners, where most stores in a mall will send their last few items for clearance. It is very padded, but that causes a shape mismatch for me, as I require more immediate depth. As well, I bought this before I found out my real size. The straps are very wide set on the bra, so they slip down quite easily unless they are tightened. The band is mesh, so the bra is quite light other than the cups, which are heavily padded. The crochet details on the bra are very cute, but can poke through on thinner shirts. I altered the band smaller, so it fits better, and removed the back lace trim to do so. I also altered the gore to bring the wires together, and now they are too close, and I had to remove the small crochet flower trim.
Pros: price ($8!), fully adjustable straps Cons: lace trim noticeable under clothing I managed to snag this bra for $8 at my local Winners, where most stores in a mall will send their last few items for clearance. It is very padded, but that causes a shape mismatch for me, as I require more immediate depth. As well, I bought this before I found out my real size, and the top edge is very set, so it now cuts in on my tissue. The straps are very wide set on the balconette, so they slip down quite easily unless they are tightened. The wires are very close together, so they accommodate close-set breasts. The band is mesh, so the bra is quite light other than the cups, which are heavily padded and covered in satiny fabric and lace. I altered the band smaller, so it fits better, but now it is obvious that the cups are too small.
Bralettes have become quite popular lately, and Aerie makes a good variety of them. I received this as a giveaway, in order to test my bralette size with Aerie. Thank you so much @equinones86. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> With recent weight gain and my 2nd puberty, I am fitting best in 26FF or 28F since I prefer looser bands. The 'Large' in Aerie is recommend for sizes 34D, 34DD, 36B, 36C, 36D, 38C, 36A according to their size chart. Since 34D is my sister size, I tried this with the intention of altering the band down. I actually have to ...say that the Medium boob area would have probably fit my shallow shape better. The bralettes are generous in the fabric in the front and after taking in the band and shortening the straps, I find I can probably size down. The 'Medium' should fit 32D, 32DD, 34B, 34C, 34D, 36A, so I am still in that sister size range to try it. This review is for the purplely lace, racerback style with boxer elastic, which I believe is discontinued, but this review may be useful for anyone considering other Aerie bralette models. My review is on my other color, Retro Glow https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> http://www.bratabase.com/bra/di5s8/
THIS BRA IS PERFECT! I really love it, but I decided that I was going to buy a new one, and a couple of different versions of it online. Also need the extra cash to pay for school.
The fit is nice and it was the first bra I found after finding out my correct size. It doesn't fit quite right but it's tolerable. The material is soft, the elastic isn't too stretchy and the straps adjust to right where I need them.
Love this bra style, very comfortable. Needed this color so it would not show under white shirt when we were on vacation. Accidentally bought a size too big, did realize until after the fact and didn't have time to return. Only worn once, in great shape.
This is a great comfortable push up bra. Gives a nice lift and round shape. The material is super soft and very comfy. Although the cups don't seem too shallow for someone with very shallow breasts I still find my self quading quite a bit. Also after swoop and scoop the cups don't hold me in for very long and then it feels more like the bra is wearing me. I will probably return it for a non-pushup Sunnie.
I only bought this bra for when I need a nude t-shirt bra, which luckily is not very often. The cups fit me fine, but the band is way too big even on the tightest hooks. Also I find that the straps don't adjust long enough for me if I use the racerback hook, which then makes the band ride up even more.
For a 32AA, this is a fantastic bra. Extreme push up, narrow upper edge of cup, adjustable strap placement as well as strapless options, and a sturdy design with a fantastic polka-dot pattern. The optional straps even have a cute lace frill on the front. I won't even bother reviewing this for my 30D size other than the fact the band is quite comfortable. I wish I they made this in my current size.
Fits like a 32B for shallow breasts. The size runs small on this model so the 34 band is very comfortable for my rib cage, but I didn't know my correct cup size at the time, so it is safe to say that an I was entirely off in the underwire width and size I needed. However, in terms of the depth of the cup it was flush enough with my chest that I didn't even know it wasn't fitting me right, and the material is so soft I didn't feel the underwire cutting into the side of my breast tissue. For a very wrong size bra, it is very pleasant to have on, if not properly supportive.
