I received this from Anya99, 10/10 seller every time.

I’d been wanting this for a long time after every one was picking it up. But, never thought I’d get one since the ship had set sail and I wasn’t on it in time lol.
Luck be, here she is. Lady Grey is my lady luck. At first I wasn’t sure about the size, but this has worked out just fine. I feel this is a lovely deep V plunge vs a balcony cut. I get a good tack on the center gore. The wires are a smidge wide, but nothing that bothers me since they’re your typical comfortable ... Comexim wires. The fabric is a satin finish in a lovely salmon color with tiny gray paisley print. The fabric on the three part cup is over a nude cotton liner fabric. There is a cute gray bow in the center gore with two cute gray bows on the cup where it meets the strap. The back-band is firm with a 3x3 gray clasp. The back-band has a nude layer of power mesh on the inside. The straps are gray sheen stripe down the middle of the elastic with some scalloping on the edge. All hardware is gray.

So glad you got Lady Grey! I read that Anna Pardal used more luxury fabrics?
Too bad they don't have that collaboration anymore. I liked all of her designs!

    • 2

BraOdyssey This is my first and only Anna Pardal, but I find this fabric to be similar in nature as my Comexim Andromeda as well as my Mixed Colors bra. I definitely think they are the better fabrics compared to the Basic and the Basic 3HC. Her designs were very nice. I know her designs were loved. Maybe some day she can collaborate again?

    • 1

Yes, I think somewhat with their silky fabric, the bras feel bigger when they're made of that silky fabrics. (or they stretch more, idk) When I compared 30GG Basic to 30GG Comexim Jasmine, the Jasmine was like one cup size too small, but the Basic was overall too small. (Yes, I've tried the Basic in four different sizes...lol)

    • 2

BraOdyssey lol Don’t get me started on the Basic. I’ve tried that one in so many sizes. It didn’t help that the size/cut was incredibly inconsistent. What’s funny is I just got a Basic in the mail today for my daughter in size 60E. And it actually fit her. I’m like seriously!? I was expecting it to not fit and have to mail back. Lol we were pleasantly surprised.

      Happy2BraShop , oh that's so funny....beginner's luck!

Well, on the plus side, I think it's a very sturdy and durable fabric. Now, you're passing on the legacy of Polish bra buying to your offspring...

BraOdyssey I really have no choice lol. She’s tiny, 4’10” and wants real bras. She doesn’t want to wear little kids bras that don’t fit well. The US just doesn’t cater to anyone outside their limited matrix. Now that we know Comexim works for her, I can order direct with some customizations for her in all the fun colors. One of them being she needs cookie pockets since she has some asymmetry due to her scoliosis. Definitely grateful for this database.

    • 1

Happy2BraShop , that's wonderful. I tried get my niece going with Comexim as well (I discussed this briefly with marilynne ) as she's petite, too.
I thought she would do well in Comexim, too - because of all their fun colours and designs. (I mean, I like all the fun colours and designs and I'm 2x+ her age...) Plus, that way she's not wasting money at V.S., etc. Might as well learn now how to properly bra fit at a young age : )

    • 2

BraOdyssey Exactly! VS won’t see a dime from me. I’ll pay international shipping and VAT fees till I die lol. Not only does my daughter want well fitting adult bras, she wants matching sets. You can’t find anything here like that. Comexim, take my money!! My next try will be finding her size in Ewa Michalak. She loves all my bras. I’m also considering making her a profile on here in a few months when she turns 18. I know how much this data base has helped me, I’m hoping her data will help someone like her some day.

    • Happy2BraShop , somewhat related: I was randomly [procrastinating &] checking out this blog www.bustsofgotham.com, & saw they had "Think before you pink" sign on her blog.

I guess it's about breast cancer awareness, but I thought it was a warning not to shop at V.S. "Think before you [shop at] Pink," is actually decent advice for the bra fitting community...lol.

    My stats for reference:

5'3, 28G.5, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.

    Look:
This bra is breathtaking! It reminds me of like a 19th century vampire novel. If someone turned Bram Stoker's "Dracula" into a Calligula type movie, this would fit right in. The cups are covered in red mesh with a black velvet pattern. Just like my Lady Grey, this bra has a luxurious feel, Anna Pardal knew what she was doing. I wish she'd come back!

    Fit:

This bra is definitely a true 30, unlike the Lady Grey, the fabric covered band doesn't interfere with stretchiness at all. If anything, it ... increases it, this feels much looser thsn my 65HH Queen of Hearts. I have to wear it on the tightest set of hooks, and I got this bra very lightly used, so the band isn't stretched out. The cups are narrow and fairly projected, with lots oc immediate projection. It gives a super rounded shape. I do quad severely on my larger side due to center fullness, tall roots and being FOT. It seems more severe than the slight cutting in I have with my Lady Grey even though they're the same size. The straps seem like thry were moved in at least 1cm and the gore was definitely overlapped, it's so small that it would actually fit between my boobs if it'd just tack! There are also cookie pockets, which seem super weird, they cover the entire cup. Maybe I can use them to hold my credit card and keys so I don't have to carry a purse, lol. (Obviously I'd never, that would wreck the bra.). I do wonder why this bra is labeled 65J when other Anna Pardals would be labeled 30GG. I'm not sure if I can justify keeping this bra, it's stunning, but it isn't a "perfect fit".

Oh my god! This set is stunning! I feel like some rich duchess or something in it. The fabric is SO soft, literally like butter. The band definitely fits like a 60 because the fabric covered band is stiff. I get slight quadding from the ribbon edge, and if I push the gore flat the quadding is drastic. This may be better for FOB ladies. The fabric is much more salmon colored than the pictures show, which is gorgeous! But unfortunately dosen't work very well with my cool toned skin. Nevertheless, This set is drop dead gorgeous.

It’s definitely a tighter band. That’s why I am more comfortable in a 70...it’s closer to a 30 than a 32. I absolutely adore the material and design and am quite sad that I am on the middle hooks of my Sophisticated Balconette already. The loosest is still ok (acceptable) but it is a better fit on the middle set now.

    Fits

I recently got a 65J Belen 3HC which is beautiful, but not a perfect fit. While the bra band was a bit snug, the cups did fit, but were a little bit too tall for my functionally short roots. So Wilderness1 was super kind and generous to offered to send me a bunch of her altered Comexims to try. Looking at the list, some looked like they were going to be too small, and some looked like they had similar enough measurements and alterations, so I narrowed it down to 4 bras, including this one. It’s an Anna Pardal bra, but they were made by ... Comexim, so I consider it Comexim. The 70HH Beauty that I recently reviewed was one of the two I had the option to buy. I didn’t but the Beauty, but I did buy this one even though it’s not a completely perfect fit.

In my Comexim sizing journey, I tried a 30G/65HH Jade Plunge from Sonya , and while it looked amazing on, and it was generally a good fit, I opted not to take it from her because the cups were a bit too tall (sensing a theme here?), and the straps were a little bit wider than I am comfortable with. The band was tight, but it was a 3 hook set though I was ok with a row of hooks from an extender which did not affect the cup fit significantly. So seeing as this one (Lady Grey) was a sister size with alterations, I knew I had to try it, but I was worried about it being small as a result because I have always been told that reduced cups make the cups fit smaller and the volume of the Jade was pretty good already. I must say that when I took the pictures, I was days away from my period, and somewhat swollen, so yeah, I am spilling out of the cups a little bit (mostly on my larger side). Now I’m a few days in, it’s mostly my center fullness that is spilling. I would actually say that this bra, with the sophisticate balconette alterations, fits almost exactly like my 65FF Ewa Michalak PL Milady (which I do have a little spilling near the gore).

When it comes to the band, it’s slightly difficult to gage whether or not the 65 or 70 is better. It’s used to me, was used to Wilderness1, possibly even more Users before that. While I am comfortable on the middle set of hooks, I do think if it was new, it would fit me properly and snug enough. I’ve read that it fit like a 30 band originally. My snug under bust measure is 28-28.5” and I prefer bands to stretch to 29-30” best for comfort and support. I should also note that it is also a 3 column hook set, unlike many that have 4 columns. A 70 band brand new might be too loose on the loosest hooks but ok on the next set in. Most of the time I’m good with the middle hooks, as I said, but it’s nice to have the option of going to the loosest hooks if I have a bit of rib cage inflammation and pain (undiagnosed Costocondritis) or just swelling at the end of the day while I relax on the couch.

The material is quite soft and silky. The pattern is quite unique as well as the colour combination. I like the grey accents. I’m also a sucker for paisley. It’s a very understated paisley, if I might add. The pale peach base is a little shimmery in the way silk and satin are, and is nice against my skin tone. This pattern does show through thin tops do definitely not a nude/neutral T-shirt bra. The straps are nice and thin for my petite frame, yet I feel like they’re sturdy enough in my size range. They’re probably too thin for larger sizes.

I wore it to work earlier this week and I pretty much forgot I had it on. I wore it again a few days later. It’s seriously comfortable. The straps moved in is great, and the reduction in cup height is good. I’m not sure if I actually need a reduced gore or not. Maybe if it wasn’t reduced, I would have a little bit less soft tissue center full spilling. But it might just add to a better proportion all over if the cups and gore are reduced. I’m questioning whether or not I can do a regular Comexim with the same alterations in a cup size bigger. Would a 65J/70HH with the straps moved in, cups reduced, and gore reduced by 2cm all around do the trick?

I’m pretty pleased with this bra so far. I can see why Anna Pardal was liked so much. I hope I can get the same success in a Comexim plunge with alterations.

    • This looks great, I really like the big bow at the gore, it is rather unique!

    • Thanks veggiechic ! It’s a pretty good fit on my small side and I have to see how it is going to fit now that I’m back into normal boobs again. I’m quite curious to see if a 65J or 70HH with these modifications will work. I was told by someone who had a Sophisticate Balconette that she got the same alterations in a Comexim and fit wasn’t quite the same.

I’m thinking about what I want to order with the pending Black Friday sale. For sure I want a Hot Chocolate plunge. Question is size. But I’m also wanting a 3HC with alterations and I have quite a few that I can’t decide between. I keep flipping. I have two more bras to review (after I fix the typos in this one) and you’ll see why I am having some difficulty in deciding.

    • Calluna what is this Black Friday sale you speak of? Does Comexim do one on their site and what kind of % off do they usually do? I would be so excited for a good sale from them!!

    • Jolie0216 I can’t say for certain that they are doing one this year, but in past years they have offered 20% off. I’m going off of a pattern of seeing what was offered previously and making assumptions that it might be the same this year, but I obviously don’t know for sure until the announcement is made, if they are going to do it and what it will be.

    • Also, I added some pictures from the fit today as I am on low tide now. It’s still a little bit of spilling near the gore but it’s less overall I think from the night I first tried it on. Not sure if it’s a huge difference though. Also, under my PL Milady, cups are about the same, but the gore, even reduced, is still taller than the Ewa gore.

    • 1

Oh, I really like the proportions of this one for you at least with the low tide situation! I can see a tiny bit of band ride-up at the back but if you put it on the tightest hooks and loosen straps a bit perhaps that issue will go away?

    • Yeah, I think it’s on the loosest hooks in the low tide pictures, possibly middle but I forget. Brand new, I think that a 65HH/70H with alterations like this will be good. I’m leaning towards 65HH because if it’s a little bit too tight, I can probably get away with an extra row of hooks from an extender (which will loosen the cup fit a smidge). But, given that I sometimes have some rib cage inflammation pain, the 70 band might be a little bit better. It’s a toss up. Pretty sure I need a 65.5. 😂

    • This looks so good on you Calluna, definitely your best fit in Comexim! Can you cite this as reference when you order the Adele? That might simplify things...

    • aogg yes and no. I know that a few people have ordered the same alterations as the Sophisticated Balconette but it didn’t fit. I’m leaning towards the same, but only 1cm reduced cups and gore instead of 2cm (straps still 2cm). The question is whether or not I still need a little bit of added depth. In which case, does it affect the overall height?

Oh, how I love black and white patterns with texture! This is BEAUTIFUL! Not only does the cookie pocket lining create a blissful cocoon for breasts, but also it creates a dynamic contrast against the "hibiscus" floral black lace. Comexim added dual-color square bows at the gore and each strap whose bold appearance contrasts with the gentle rivers flowing throughout the lace. If that were not enough to impress, they attached a trim along the upper cup edge that is 50% matte black ribbon and 50% translucent black tulle. It is definitely a work of art https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" ... alt=":-)" />

Without cookies, this wiggles out of my IMF quickly. However, with cookies, my breasts are lifted higher into the cups where there is more depth. Still, it shifts down, but there is little discomfort. Wearing cookies also significantly improved the fit for me in Ewa Michalak S and CHP bras, too. If you are immediately projected and often feel wires painfully pushing on your ribs, cookies may help you, too.

Hibiscus's cup height is .25" taller and more open than 30H Florence; making Hibiscus a better fit for those with taller roots than me (most everyone https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> ). There is, for some reason, more immediate depth in Hibiscus compared to Florence, too. This sensation may be related to Hibiscus's more narrow gore: more space for my center projection. It is possible they have the exact same immediate depth with Hibiscus just having more space for center projection as a function of the more narrow gore.

Both bras arrived with supportive 4x3 fasteners and fully adjustable straps. Sincerely, I appreciate three rows/four column fasteners and fully adjustable straps. Comexim delights this customer https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Gore wire width is a challenge with my close-set breasts. Although this is a "factory standard" gore, it is more narrow than the overlapping gore I ordered for Florence. I will order both a "narrowed and overlapping" gore soon.

This bra receives a strong recommendation: wearing art feels marvelous....even when no one else can see it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

I managed to order this bra on the very last day Anna Pardal took orders. Grr. Getting the bra took months, and I must admit I wasn't too thrilled about the whole business since this was the first AP bra I ordered and now it would be impossible to exchange if the size was wrong. Yahoo. Well, eventually the bra arrived and I got down to trying it on.
Well, the cups are a perfect hit. The shape is gorgeous, almost as perky as EM S-style at its best, but achieved with less padding. The straps are bit more towards the center than in EM bras, which is ... a very good thing. The band, however, was too big. The original size was 34J and I admit that I shouldn't have listened to the general advice in the net "go one band- and cup size up from your regular UK size". No, I should have gone with my gut and taken the normal band and one cup size up. Well, no can do. So I shortened the band with 5 cm (2 inches). Problem solved.
The bra is very pretty and excellent workmanship. I love the boho/hippie print and the details are lovely. A shame AP shut down, basing on this one bra, the bra industry lost a real talent. Hopefully Comexim will keep manufacturing her styles, since I love the nuance shape so much that the next time I order from Comexim, I'll ask if the bra can be made in it.

  7. Caramel Latte Nuance Plunge

In my size range, the Nuance Plunge has the following alterations:
    - straps moved in 2cm (roughly an inch)
    - lowered gore
    - reduced cup height

    I also requested cookie pockets.

And this size includes a 3x3 hook and eye closure.

FIT: I wish I'd realized that I should go up one cup in Anna Pardal bras-- ladies, order one band size up and keep your cup letter/order your larger band size with the letter from your smaller band. And also wish that I'd realized I was going to grow somewhere between a half and full cup size by the time I got these bras. I think next time ... I will go for a 30GG, or even 30H.

MATERIAL: The material is so, SO soft. I just can't get over how soft it is-- not just to my fingertips, but against my breasts, ribs, and back. It doesn't just feel luxurious, it feels ridiculously comfortable. These beautiful bras will probably become my go-to, especially for long, stressful days at work.

CUPS: These bras are surprisingly forgiving of being a bit too big, and after trying a slightly thin and clingy work shirt on with it, I can say with confidence that neither the lace nor my quadding show through. These bras sort of make my quadding less likely to stand out; something to do with the way they're cut, I think. Also, despite the quadding, my breasts are actually contained even when jumping, wiggling, shimmying, etc.

Also, about reduced cup height: SAVING GRACE for short roots or boobs with tall shallow roots. Whatever it is I've got going on. This is a rare find, because I actually don't have gapping near the straps. YAY!!

STRAPS: For the first time, I don't have to angle my straps in to get them thoroughly seated on my shoulders. They're narrowly set, and I have another that I'm waiting on with the straps moved in even further (3.5 cm).

GORE: The gore is bizzarely comfortable, given that I usually can't handle a gore of 2"+. It's narrow, and even about an inch from its top is only about 1.2" across. So far it doesn't seem like the gore end of the wires sits on breast tissue at all, either-- HUGE relief.

BAND: The band feels firm without being pinchy, tight, or in any way painful.

WIRES: The wires sit right up in my IMF, although they do still depart from my IMF by about .5" at the far point, under my armpits. And that is in no way uncomfortable; the wires don't sit on my ribcage, which is a godsend.

After brief testing, unlike most bras I've tried so far, I can lay down without this one stabbing me in the sternum.

I can't say enough about the quality and comfort of these bras.

DOWNSIDE(S): The only downside I've noticed aside from my ordering cups a bit too small: there is some minor pilling on the lace. The lace is still definitely intact, so I think it may be a bit like how some fabrics shed when new. And also the long wait time, but kinda worth it.

Hi there, I'm incredibly keen to try Anna Pardal for Comexim but have been deliberating over what size to order - I used to wear a UK28 band but almost always wear my Ewa Michalaks since trying Polish brands for the first time. Although I was recommended to buy Ewa Michalak 65 band I'm now wishing I'd gone for the 60 as they've stretched out. Do you mind me asking what your underbust measurement is please? :-)

    • jacuzzi My snug underbust is 28" (71 cm) and my "break the tape" tight underbust is 26.3" (66 cm). I have an Ewa Michalak in 65GG, and it fits best on the 2nd or 3rd set of hooks-- so I could probably do with a 60 band in EM.

In UK sizes, I typically wear a 28GG/H in looser brands (Freya, Curvy Kate) and a 30G in tighter brands (Panache, Cleo).

Anna's own advice on her website is that if you have a UK size you're happy with, go up one band size and keep the cup letter from your usual band. So I took my larger band, and SHOULD have taken a GG or H (as I would with a 28).

You'll notice this band stretches to about 28"; that's why you take a larger cup size.

    • 1

So the fabric wasn't itchy at all? I have the AP Stiff Cappuccino which is basically the predecessor to this and I find certain spots of it to be quite itchy because of the lace.

    • wild_muses No itchy fabric, or weird itchy stitching (my Deco) anywhere. I'm not sure how she did it, but the lace is pretty soft, and is almost entirely kept on the outside of the bra. What little is on the inside is just there to be stitched down.

    • Is the cup depth measurement right? If so I think I should have ordered a larger size...

    • pumkinswife Bear in mind that the Nuance Plunge is designed for less of your boob to be in the cup in the first place. lcl0706 can explain it better than I can, as I questioned whether Polish bras would be deep enough for me.

But yeah, her bras definitely run a cup size small.

Also, the lowered gore and reduced cup may actually contribute to what looks to be too little cup depth.

      I know I definitely needed at least a 30GG, maybe 30H.

    • I had a 60H with reduced cups in the Comexim line and messaged her to see what sized I'd need in the AP line. She suggested the Sophisticated cut in 30FF (because I was smashed and quadboobing in the 60H and the tighter band issue) but now I'm thinking It might be to small in 30FF... Are you going to add pictures of the bra?

    Cup height: 7.5
    Wire length: 9
    Cup separation: .6
    Center gore height: 2.8
    Wing height: 4.5
    Strap width: .6
Number of hooks per column: 2

This couldn't have arrived at a better time, my older comexim plunges' have been comfy but absolutely incapable of good support & collapsing in under the weight of whatever is going on (holiday pound, singular?). So enter the recent binging purchases for various sizes (bratabase advises almost everything from 28FF through 30G), which fit for about a week before further growth renders ... the new purchases skimpy. Given this has been in effect for the last 3 months continually, going to assume it's not hormonal or likely to stop anytime soon.

The Sabine is a peculiar bird, in that the 3" tall #40 slightly plunge U wires are comparatively narrow & short for this size range (most wires are oversized around 28H- near 6.5" with arms about 4.5" high). Sabine's depth is more than I bargained on, for better and worse, & am most pleased with this little extra spare room at the wire and horizontally, however her height has me at a disadvantage so will carefully tack it down a bit where & as needed. Taking down the spare height at the wire removed my precious immediate depth by about half and inch (increases sides caving down), while pinching out the height from apex to inner cup is difficult but manageable compromise for overall fullness. The latter still impedes on the 10.5" depth I prefer to have at perimeter but minimizing across bustline isn't an issue personally, it doesn't result in the cup overflowing, pushing down or otherwise crumpling,so it stays. Baroque boobage, here we go.

Sabine's cup construction is of supersoft, very fine knit lining over thin foam with sturdy slightly stretchy lace over the facing side- reminds me of old-school fishnets, not exactly wiry but probably will gather mohair and cashmere from sweaters as winter drudges on here. The support and comfort I've had from this brand continues on here, with the added benefit of luxurious beauty- certainly nicer than Effuniak's Cappuccino. The overall effect is sleek and conforming, wouldn't expect the lace detail to bind in or distort cup shape.

The wing is very narrow, possibly the barest sliver of a side support I've had from off the rack, and luckily contains no stupid bendy stabby bones. This connects to an incredibly short, wide pair of bands which are 4" long on each side, made from cush matte microfiber spandex, overlaid with the fine netting lace & bound on all sides with elastic, stretchy for the top and bottom of band, with much sturdier stuff running from the hooks to strap.
Strap has a lovely detailed curlicue design on either side of it, and runs nigh 16" long. It will give possibly 4" or more when pulled taut, this is pleasing for my stronk farmer shoulders which must needs a goodly length of harness to holster anything up from

Will be attempting to knock off a patterns from this design, with modifications to enlarge the outer panels curves & shorten the cup at the inner near gore, not exactly CHP style but just to match height & width needs seamlessly. One of the greater enduring mysteries about how my side full shape contorts bras, and itself to endless vexation, has been satisfied with purchasing & wearing this style- while not as big as others I've bought, and nothing near as padded or 'oomph inducing, it presents what I have in a lovely subtle manner without attempting to scream and brag about it.
At this stage it's clear to me that anything in a pattern remotely resembling 'push up' in any style can only achieve great flattening at the lower cup, evacuated volume widens my size needs from 3 to 6 sizes so the cup pulls away hard from the ribs to compensate, then forces all the displaced central depth into an ironicaly downward and very V position from apex creating a 'witch tit' of wildly humorous proportions. Usually a tsunami of 'armpit fat rolls' appear, the inner at wire overflows like a cracked dam releasing a hideous display of loose skin & odd horizontal bulging, and the 10 plagues which were the scourge of Egypt in Moses time, return along with gnashing off teeth, pulling of hair & beating of chests from onlookers all across the land.
Nothing remotely like a classic cleavage is created by those prevalent design methods. It's so perplexing to have this gross distortion occur so consistently across brands and sizes, when I'm far more even & rounded which most bras seem built to cater to!

Meanwhile, Sabine humbly and simply seeks to embrace and support my strangely wide rounded tissue and avoids the entire mess. She welcomes me with surprisingly capable textiles, sits down and listens quietly, efficiently doing her duty without complaint or objection. Even when the side boob rears it's ugly head, she just sits there and tried to soothe the feral beast with the soft cuddly blanket of her cups. All while appearing every inch the regal nobility that she is.

I previously had this bra in a 32E that I ordered from Sophisticated Pair, it was an in stock item and was unaltered. It had always been a bit problematic (but I loved it), and it got to the point I didn't enjoy wearing it despite loving the bra. I couldn't do without this bra so I reordered it recently, this time direct from Comexim in a cup volume larger with alterations that made it the Sophisticate Balconette. I had to add it as a 30FF in order to put it in as an Anna Pardal, but it is actually tagged a 65H.

This fits me ... much better than the 32E (70F), I get no bubbling in this. The band is a bit small (but feels stretchy), and I do need an extender, but my experience with the larger band made me decide on sizing down, while the 32/70 was smallish and a decent fit at first it quickly became a bit loose. I hadn't really worn it much either and had usually used an extender to cut down on bubbling even though with an extender it was too big.

I did a full review and comparison of altered and unaltered Comexim plunges on my blog.

Cup height is 6.75in tall. Love this bra except it's still a little tall at the strap. But the space isn't obvious under shirts. The band is rather tight but I'm gonna try an extender and see if that helps. Overall I love this bra!!!!

    • It is beautiful!!

    • You know, if you enable the "I like measuring" option in the bra measurements screen you will see the cup height field enabled.

    • Oh thanks Jj I was wondering how to do that.

Another Anna Pardal beauty. Emeline is exquisite. Black base cups with black mesh overlay and the prettiest brown/tan floral print. The band is quite firm, so the first couple wears will be with an extender until it stretches a bit. if you don't own an AP, you should https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> review coming soon!

So this bra runs small in the band like Anna and others have said. I wasn't aware that the cups run small as well. So this is to small and I will be emailing Anna about exchanging it.
Aside from the fact it's to small its a beautiful bra and I'll probably be ordering again (other then the replacement) soon.

Out of curiosity: what happens if you bend the wires narrower? The cups definitely look too closed off for you, I think you might actually prefer to not have reduced cups in AP. I'm not sure if going up a cup will solve your problem, but I'm sure Anna will know!

    • 1

Emailed Anna so well see what she suggests.
I'll try sending the wires later and see if it helps any.
Feel like everytime I figure out what style or cut I need my boobs change and I'm back to the start LOL

    • 1

Are your measurements the same as when you posted your fit checks last? I looked back at them, and I do see gaping at the gore. The cup looks slightly tall to me, but this one does look too closed off for you. Were those pictures post-scoop and swoop as well? In these photos, it almost looks to me like you may have tall roots and maybe less center-fullness than Comexim expects? As lcl0706 said, you're unlikely to get great cleavage in well-fitting Comexim plunge. Some of their styles give more than others, but I find that an awful lot of them give a fairly minimized look. I believe AP's bras have a lower cut in our size range than Comexim's to start with though. I think you may want to do a fit check and link to your various fit checks. There's definitely something funny going on!

    • Ugh had a long thing typed up and realized I couldn't remember my perimeter measurements... Yeah I need to redo measurements LOL.
In the 60HH pics all were post S&S. The only picture that wasn't post S&S was on the Hibiscus to show the change before S&S and after and I noted that on the picture its self.
I agree I'm having issues with Comexim bra fits. 60H reduced fit great for a month then my boobs grew and I was squished and quadboobing. 60HH felt to tall and to small at the same time. I tried folding down the top as if it were reduced and my boobs were trying to spill out. I assume this is from pressure from my hand holding the top down. Now my AP 30FF is so closed and cuts so bad its on the edge of comical to me. Like how much spillage can I have.
Did you look at my Ewa as well?!? I've obviously grow some all pictures were without cookie pads.
I'll add new measurements and do a fit check with all Comexim and the Ewa to hopefully get to the bottom of this.

    • 2

To me it looks like you have the perfect shape for Ewa's CHP bra. Lots of immediate projection and tall roots. It shouldn't cut in on you anywhere because it's super full on top. Both your Ewa and Comexim's look like they're too closed for you. It does look like you've gained volume (and you've been pretty steadily gaining volume). Comexim has been a tough fit for me lately too. If you try them again, I recommend trying their bras with stretch lace at the top (Mystic, Emmanuelle). For AP, I would suggest trying unreduced cups (and seeing what Anna can do for you, maybe a half cup?).

    • 2

I don't know which CHP you're getting, but I will warn you in advance the Onyx and Lilia are not your typical CH cut bra. They have a satin edging that closes the cup off a little more than usual for the EM half cup shape.

    • If I'm right its the CH Onyx (LOL) that you sold/swapped with Amandafire... Haha guess we'll see how well it fits...

    • 1

Yes it was mine lol. I suspect it will be too small and too closed off on top for you. But that is absolutely the exception to the CH rule, trust me. If it's too closed, try another one. I wondered if that's the one you got and that's why I wanted to give you a heads up ahead of time!

    • LOL yeah thanks for the heads up. I'm excited and nervous because it seems like I've had more misses then hits lately. I honestly excepted this one to be to big for some reason so it being to small and closed off really caught me off guard.

    • PetiteCollegiate I was torn between the Emmeanuelle and Veronique when I was ordering before so when I have the money I'll definitely try it. Half cup might work but are APs wires wide on the half cup like Comexim?

(OT funny every time I put cup it tries to auto correct to CHP... Lol maybe it's a sign I need more CHP style cups)

    • 1

If it makes you feel better, I didn't realize AP's cups ran ~1 cup small either, when I ordered.

    • 2

I would imagine you could ask for narrower wires. I don't know though honestly, I haven't seen any reviews of her half-cups. I tried the single seam HC from Comexim and found it the same width as the plunge, just with less cup. Anna will know!

    • 2

Thanks imabratinfluence I do feel better.
PetiteCollegiate yeah hopefully she can figure something out because I seem to keep adding inches but still need narrow wires and my options are rather limited.

    • All APs I have tried have run smaller than my typical Comexim size. When I wore a 65M Comexim, a 30J AP was smaller and shorter in the cup. I wear a 60O Comexim now and my 28K AP is still much tighter. I'm not sure if that's the same experience for everyone. Reducing the cups/lowering the gore does take away some depth too. I'm not sure a Comexim half cup would be much better though. In my experience they've been much more shallow in my usual size, I'd need to size up at least a cup or more to get the projection I need. I also find them much much more closed on top than the EM CHP. Is this just the regular plunge reduced or?

    • gogobee This is the Sophisticated cut. That's my worry with the half cup as well is it being to shallow and as you move up cups wires widden and the half cup already has wider wires then the plunge.

What a beaut this baby is! Pictures truly do not do it justice; the intricacy of the lace is seen much better in person. I was a bit nervous with size, as I've only tried the Emeline from AP, but I'd say it fits the same as my 36GG - Anna Pardal For Comexim » Emeline , more or less. The band hasn't started out as firm, but a size down would definitely be too small. The cups are a bit roomier in this model, but I think it's more a matter of how the cups are constructed versus than sizing inconsistency. All-in-all, I'd say 36GG ... is my right size for this bra. For reference, I typically wear a UK 32H/34GG, and my Comexim size is 75J. Other notable differences between this and Emeline is that the gore is a touch higher (still not at all painful), the cups cover my squidgy sides a bit more, and the straps feel closer together. The straps weren't an issue for me, per se, but something I noticed in the Emeline -- esp, in comparison to my Comexim plunges.

The only disappointment with this bra is that it doesn't feel as well made and refined as Emeline, which is something I wouldn't expect with the hefty price tag ($62). It's still better made than my Comexim padded plunges, which retail for about $40, but I don't know that this particular model warrants the heavier charge. With Emeline, however, you can FEEL the difference in materials with its sturdy construction and tight stitching. I'll still continue to purchase as much as I can with a Comexim name tag.

    • I LOVE the look of this bra! So gorgeous! :D Bummer to hear about the quality though. AP should be amazing for the price!

    • Is there like a ribbon floating above the cup on your chest like there's the edge trim on the bra then space then a thin ribbon? Or is it just an illusion

    • Not an illusion! I tried to show it in pics, but it doesn't show up easily. The ribbon is held up by teeny tiny little strings. I think you can see it best in image 3.

    • I'm bummed that the hibiscus doesn't feel as sturdy to you. I just received my first AP, a lady grey, and I'm already so in love w/ fit that I'm contemplating others! I will of course give it a couple weeks to see how it holds up before ordering it a sibling. One of the things I love most is how quality it feels to wear - the tight stitching, like you are saying. It's firm and supportive, still reasonably flexible, and there's no feeling like I'm wearing helmets. It's that happy land of firm end of flexible. The stretch satin and the firm ribbon along the cup edge in this design help the structure for me. I'm surprised the Emeline won out for you because in pics Emeline looks like a Comexim basic with fancy lace on top. My Basic gets the job done, but the cups are a little too stretchy/loosely stitched to support me right. Any insights on these vs. the Basic?

Ok, NOW this is my perfect size in this bra. Anna W. was so very kind enough to send me both a 34H and a 36GG of the Emeline to try out, as I wasn't sure which size would work best. I could barely fasten the 34H, but the 36GG is perfect.

All of the issues I had with the 34GG are completely gone with the 36GG: the cup fully encases my breast tissue, particularly at the side; the band is comfortably firm and has more width than the smaller size; and I feel completely supported and stable. In short, the perfect fit!

The construction of this bra is ... similar/identical to Comexim bras, but the materials are much more luxe and sturdy in comparison, so the support is stronger and it lifts the girls higher and rounder. Those looking for a cross between Comexim and Ewa Michalak support would be pleased with this.

The gore tacks perfectly on me, and the shape is extremely rounded and centered to my body. It gives me a slight cleavage, but nothing porn star worthy. However, my breasts are fairly far apart and soft, so I never really have that butt cleavage look with any bra. And, honestly, I don't like the feeling of my breasts squished together like that anyway (mmmm...boob sweat).

As far as sizing goes, after some holiday (ok, I really can't even blame the holidays) weight gain, I feel best in a 34GG. I would say this model runs both a band and a cup size small.

I'm really excited to see this brand grow, and I think with their upcoming size expansions, AP will reach an even larger bra size demographic and will continue to grow as a great brand! The customer service is unparalleled, and they have wonderful bras to boot.

I'll write a full review of this bra on my blog in due course but for now here are the key points:

    - 75 band good, although possibly 70 would be better for longer term wear
    - M cups too small. Wires too narrow. Some quadboob, but also there is a gap at the top of the cups. Suggest shorter cups (custom order) and would like to try lower centre gore as well, for more clothing options.
    - Straps fully adjust and are very comfy.
    - Band quite stretchy.

I'm spoiled now. This bra fits so well. I have narrow, close-set breasts and this is perfect. I may never return to Panache...

The wires are definitely narrow. For me, this is right on the edge - narrower wouldn't work, but most underwires are too wide for me. I typically accept this as a minor issue in other bras, since it doesn't really affect my comfort, but it's so nice to have underwires that don't go halfway around my side.

I feel secure in this bra (my day job involves a lot of walking around, reaching, etc., and I never adjusted throughout the day). ... The materials are nice and high quality (this is a great deal for the price, compared to my usual Cleo/Panache). The design is lovely.

Ordered from Erica at Sophisticated Pair - I'll be ordering from her again!

Sizing: I typically wear 30DD in Panache, but 32DD is perfect here.

Update 7/18: Like the other Anna Pardal/Comexim bras, the band stretched out on this one. I thought quickly but I guess it was a few years... This bra is now too loose for comfortable daily wear https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

That's it, Anna Pardal / Comexim all the way from now on. I took the plunge (har har) and have no regrets.

This is the standard plunge. The 32 band is perfect. The underwires are exactly the width of my breasts (which are narrow for sure! any narrower would not work). The bra is comfortable, the resulting shape is rounded and looks good under clothes, and the materials are much nicer than any other comparably priced bra that I own.

Update 7/18: Bra is great but the band really stretched out pretty quickly. I'm on the tightest hook and I don't think there's much life left here.

In theory this bra fits, though there is a little gap at the top of the cups I do fill it. Maybe a reduced cup would fix this if I order a similar cut? I generally do a reduced/overlapping gore and this bra doesn't have that which I miss a little for my splayed center full breasts. It is a beautiful bra, but isn't quite right for me. I need more lift/structure at the sides so I don't remain splayed in clothing, and this bra doesn't have that support. Though it is gorgeous and has nice lines under clothing. I also have to have the straps extremely tight (digging into shoulders/left marks) for enough support. I think the materials used just aren't hefty enough for this size bra. I have very soft tissue and this just isn't enough support.
