Background: I usually wear UK 38F or 38FF, and do not get along with Comexim's padded plunges at all (need more space at the bottom and less at the apex and top).
I originally ordered a 40F because unlined Comexims seemed to run big in the cup, but that was much too small. 40G is as close as it will get to my ideal size. See also: http://sophisticatedpair.com/blog/?p=13738 A Sophisticated Pair's advice.
Pros for me: - Narrow wires if you need them; definitely narrower than Ewa Michalak. - A lot of bottom projection. Very few bras can contain all of my breast tissue at the underwire, and this ...is one of them. - Soft, comfortable fabric for the band and straps.
Cons for me: - The cups are too tall for my FOB breasts. I think I could have done with a 40GG otherwise as I have some overflow near the gore, but the top section is already too loose on the 40G. - The shape is not as high and rounded as I would like (YMMV). The vertical seams sort of go off to the side rather than being at my nipples, which suggests a shape mismatch of some kind. Read more 92 more words
not a big fan of this bra for sensory reasons only basically. i do get a bit of gapping if im not standing up straight which i hate. overall the bras a little too roomy, probably going to list this for sale. also in regards to sensory issues here, only the bottom of the band is firm/elasticized and i disliked how that felt under my ribs. but thats just me. the bra is really pretty though, i just wish it was more suited for me!
I have a hunch that this bra runs small in the bad and cup, since if I try other brands in this size, its too big.
This is a great bra for normal to tall roots, it does gap for me at the top sides because my roots are so short. However, i wear this bra alot because its one of the few that fit me beside that.
The lace makes it cute, but the texture of the lace on top means this is not a tshirt bra or thin shirt bra.
This is a very pretty bra and the materials are very nice, but it's not quite the right size or shape. The band stretches to about 28 inches, which is comfortable for me. I'm still not sure whether I prefer 60 or 65 bands in Comexim as I have a narrow ribcage, but a bit of triangle back after years of playing sports and lifting weights. I'm no longer muscly, but seem to have a bit of extra squish where my lats used to take up more space.... I get a little bit of quad boob at the top of the cup and the lack of depth and lower wires on the side lead to some side boob leakage. I think Comexim plunges are a better fit for me
All of the materials used for this bra are quality and so so SO comfortable! I thought I wouldn't really like the pattern but it is actually really cute in person. The gore is SUPER narrow and there is a nice fuzzy lining on the underwire, which I appreciate. The straps are too wide-set and the cups are wayyy too small for me. The gore wasn't able to sit flat because my boobs were escaping everywhere, so it was hard to judge much about this bras shape.
Wider wires than in other Comexim bras? Band is as tight for me as 65 band on Sonia. Would require more centre or top fullness to fit better. Straps a bit too wide for me, but moving them in would flatten out the nice projection. I plan to alter the bra by stitching in a bit near the gore.
Nice neutral color, supportive band. Feels like nice quality. Like it better than some basic t-shirt bra.
I love the unique print of this bra. Unfortunately the cups are too tall for me. I still wear it sometimes with higher necklines as the gaping isn't noticeable under shirts, and it's still comfortable.
I think it's actually about true to size in the cups and small in the band. If not for the absurd height, it would fit me (28H/HH? 27.5 under 40 over) pretty well (although I could use a tigher band than 31 inches).
12/2018 I got this bra ages ago from another member. It's smaller than your average 36 band by a fair bit and fits like a 34H-ish; I can wear it on the tightest hooks. The wings are a little lower than I'd like but the fit is otherwise secure & flesh contained. There's a little gap under the cup/strap intersection, but it's not visible on. The lace overlay isn't practical; it's only a matter of time before I snag it with jewelry or a zipper when getting dressed. It's perfectly comfy.
The longline aspect of this bra makes it quite comfortable for someone of my (large) breast size. The bra itself is my favorite Anna Pardal design, and I had been warned that Comexim erred on this specific bra that I bought re: adding an extra hook! That said, the 'stiff' cups do fit my currently rather large, pendulous breasts, no quadding, and create a really nice, round shape.
I want to love this bra but it doesn't get along with my tall, flat roots. The cups don't cut in, but there is a bit of empty space in the tops of the cups I don't fill in. I know by now that Comexim plunges probably just don't work for me, but they're hard to resist!
The straps on this bra are IMPOSSIBLE. They are so hard to adjust. I guess it's a feature to prevent them from loosening up during wear, but it took me forever just to loosen and tighten the straps while trying on.
I'm also not a fan of seamed cups on the Comexim bras I've tried. There is too much of a difference between the padding and the seam, creating a lumpy look. I have Wacoal bras that are sewn more evenly or with thinner foam to prevent these ridges. I am pretty picky about this sort of thing though. If I did find the perfect Comexim fit like everyone else, maybe I would live with it? One day.
This beautiful bra runs smaller in the cups than a typical 30F but has a true-to-size, stretchy 30 band. In Comexim sizing I believe it would be a 65G. I marked it down slightly on comfort because the band was too loose on me to be properly supportive, but it was great otherwise. No painful wires or ridiculously tall cups.
I have rather narrow, projected, center-full, short-rooted boobs that appear to be somewhat wide-set and splayed when unsupported; however, they seem to do best with a bra that has a rather narrow gore in addition to narrow wires. The cups are ever-so-slightly tall on me, but even without the reduced cup, they fit much better than most. The band felt somewhat tight at first and I wore an extender for a couple of weeks, but it's getting better. All in all, I think this bra is pretty magical. It's certainly the best fit I've found so far.
I figured out why the cups seem too small in this longline. It's because they are! Comexim 65H is closest to UK 30F. Naturally this 65G is about one cup size too small. Grrr. It didn't matter that I gave the exact bra measurements I wanted; they sent me a 65G with, at most, one or two of my requested alterations.
The Sabine longline in balconette cut was my third or fourth attempt to get Comexim to incorporate all the alterations I needed. It is possible the straps were moved in, but I'm pretty sure nothing else was done. The bra doesn't go up high enough under my arms. ...The wires rest on breast tissue, both in the gore area and under my arms. My Tail of Spence escapes, to an unacceptable degree. The gore is too wide for my non-existent space between boobs. The gore is not a super plunge height. The cups are not very lower coverage.
The Sabine is beautiful. It has perhaps the most seductive, sophisticated fabric I've ever seen on a bra. Its looks made me willing to try Comexim again. After the Sabine, I tried a couple more times, giving exact bra measurements. I was assured they were creating an entirely new frame for me. Still no luck. About a year later, Wellfitting by Comexim introduced the Extra Deep Plunge cut, which had all the modifications I wanted. Read more 125 more words
Such a beautiful bra! I love the grey and salmon-y pink. The shade of pink reminds me in a delicious way of the muted pinks of the 1940s. It is comfortable, easy on the eyes, and a great value, I think!
Here's my issue: when I put it on, it is perfect-feeling. A few minutes later, my boobs feel compressed all over, it feels like the wire has popped out of my IMF, and the sides of the wires are definitely sitting on breast tissue. Is it too small??? I find myself readjusting many many times throughout the day, which is annoying. Perhaps sizing up would be good.
Does anyone know what the british equivalents of Comexim's odd letter sizing is? This bra is an H. What is that in their sizing?
