I wish I had been able to find this bra in a size a bit closer to my size (30E/F) but that was before I had found anything in my size and tried a lot of stuff on. Anyway, I do love this bra it's comfy though I think it would be more comfortable if I got a Rixie Clip for it. Being a little small the sides don't always quite hold everything in but most times it's fine... It's still comfortable enough so, it's one of those "I just feel like wearing this crazy bright bra" kinds of things. I did wash it on the handwash cycle of my washing machine (and I've washed an antique blouse in there) and the color doesn't seem as bright and it may be a little stretchier. It's not the perfect thing for me but I like it enough and it's comfy enough that I kept it!
It's itchy! Otherwise I like it. I'll update this if the itch changes over time. I might shorten the band a little bit for a snugger fit. I wanted something lightweight and not made of foam to wear on occasion, and I think this will do.
Very comfortable and supportive, and has a kind of rounding/flattening/widening effect on my boobs. There is a tiny bit of space at the top of the bra, which is likely because my boobs are somewhat shallow. The seams and lace can show through tight shirts, however. It is possibly my most comfortable bra and I love how well it stays in place.
Tried on this bra since it's been recommended as good for shallow breasts. While it is shallow and wide (I love with width), it's a tad too deep for me in the center, and also gaps a lot when slouching. The rim of the cup is also too closed so it cuts into my breast tissue - so that part isn't particularly great for shallow breasts.
This is the best fit I've found so far. It's a tiny bit narrow in the wires and I've rapidly gone from wearing it on the loosest hook to the middle. It's comfortable worn all day, although the elastic is a smidgen scratchy. The top of the cups fit the line of my breasts perfectly. This review was written after five weeks of regular (but not daily) wear with careful handwashing and air drying of the bra on a regular basis.
This bra is quite loose in the band and slightly too small in the cups for me. I would probably fit better in a 30DD in this model as far as the cup goes. However, this isn't a "good" push-up bra in that the padding inside distorts the tissue. I wear it only when I want to feel a little extra oomph.
Nice quality bra, the wires are plenty wide and don't ride up too high under the arms which can be an issue with bras with wide set wires. The material is smooth and doesn't show under thin tee shirts, and it's very comfortable to wear all day. My only negative is that the straps are quite wide, even for a tall/broad person like myself, and often require adjustment throughout the day in a tank.
Great bra, very comfortable. This bra has a small hook on the straps so that it can convert to a racerback style in the back which I found really comfortable. I'm not a huge fan of the little bows that decorate the bra, but once I'm sure I won't return it, I plan to cut those off. This bra is still a new purchase for me so I can't attest to how durable it is yet.
Very nearly perfect for shallow/wide breasts. I have really soft tissue, and I loved the way that the cup held it. HOWEVER, the seams that run down the front of the cup make this one unwearable for me. Maybe because my breasts are too soft or because the band is a tad big, the seams made my boobs look angular. Like, each of the three panels looked flat, not rounded, so it was a crazy weird shape. And the frontmost seam sticks out horribly under tight shirts.
For now, I can't keep this. It's summer and I need something I can wear under light shirts. But, I am definitely going to try again in the future with a slightly different size and see if that fixes the seam issue. I would highly highly recommend giving this one a try if you are at all shallow.
The cups on this bra run small, I tried the 30D on first and had to size up. If you are petite and/or have narrow shoulders like me, you'll probably find the straps to be too far apart. They sat too close to my underarms and were uncomfortable.
The Betsey Johnson Eyelet Lace demi is my best-fitting bra, also in 30DD. This one, however, was not the right shape for me. The moulded cups slope in at too deep of an angle, so the top edge of the cups, though stretchy, crash into my boobs/pecs. Too bad.
Also, based on the photos, I had expected it to be covered with a satiny fabric, but it's actually a sheer pantyhose-like material (which I guess explains the "stocking stripe" name).
I did not have any problems with the cup/wire width or height, nor with the straps being too far-set, which others had complained about. However, I do have very broad shoulders.
This bra is the wrong shape for me. The band is also too stretchy. It is only tight enough on the tightest hook, so if it came in a 28 band that would probably be fine. I don't believe the wires are too narrow for me but I do seem to have some orange in a glass going on. I think my breasts may not be shallow enough for the bra but it's hard to tell. However, the cup seems like it is too closed on top to be good for shallow breasts. I'm keeping this bra because I only have one other black one at the moment and it it good enough for occasional use. Also, I cut off the bows because they were too girly for me.
This bra was comfortable, but the fit wasn't right for me. Too much coverage at the top, maybe? It was also a size too small--or smaller than what I'm learning is my true size. And I wasn't crazy about the colors.
The band is fairly true to size -the 30 stretches to 31". 30s are a little loose on me, but unfortunately Betsey Johnson doesn't 28 bands, which would be ideal. I got the bra in black, so it might be a little less stretchy than the lighter colors. To whom it may concern, the bows are easily removable. I don't personally like pink, so the bows were my only reservation with buying the bra.
The band slips a bit so I have to wear it on the tightest hook from the get-go, but the girls usually fit in with only a few adjustments through the day.
This is the first bra I purchased on my quest to finding my true bra that fits. I measure in between a 28DD and 28E, but when I tried this bra on, the 30D fit perfectly. The band is quite stretchy so I don't expect I will be able to wear it for long, but otherwise this bra is comfortable and I would recommend it to others with a similar size/shape.
My boobs: close set in center, wide and shallow at root, full on bottom. This bra does not have large enough cups for my breasts. I believe it may fit in a 34DDD. I'm not sure whether to upload pics because I have scooped and swooped better than my initial photos (and now quadboob horribly out the the front). The underwire is comfortable and the low gore does not cut in to my close together breasts.
This seems to run true to size. The cups are wide and shallow, and the straps sit slightly far apart. I am petite so they sat just a little too close to my underarm, but otherwise this is a great bra.
