This 65H Chantelle C Chic Sexy Plunge (3641) in Orange fits quite well. If I were to keep this, I would sew the underwires closer together at the gore. The gore is only 1.75" high, which is good for close-set me, but it seems an easy alteration on this particular bra. The gore is just a bit stabby.
The amount of my torso covered by these well fitting cups is excessive. Since I have ample underwire width and height under the arms, I've ordered the same bra but in a purplish blue color from Nordstrom in the next cup size down. This one is a UK 30FF, and the one in the mail is a UK 30F.
I was surprised by how much I liked the orange, which is a fresh, citrusy, clear, juicy color, like a real fruit. There's nothing earth tone or pastel about this color. I didn't know I liked orange or that it could flatter someone with cool undertones.
This fit well, with the caveat that the center gore, which is only 1.75" and thus a decent height for my close set boobs, is too separate. I would, if I were keeping this, remove the center gore decoration, sew the underwires so they overlapped, and sew the decoration back on.
The fit is good, though the sheerer upper mesh part is a little loose. This reminds me of how my red Cleo Marcie fit before I broke it in and it molded to my body. The fabric does cover a fair amount of my chest, at least for my taste.
The underwires go pretty far back on the sides ...and are pretty high on the sides. This is not a complaint. Besides needing a low center gore because of my close set breasts, I also need fairly wide and high underwires under the arms because I have a lot of side tissue. My naked shape from the front is very round.
I tried this in 32E in Blue, as the paper tag describes the color. It's a dark blue without veering into navy blue territory. The band could be tighter. I don't need it to be because the underwires are high enough and wide enough. When I deal with, say, Ewa Michalak's underwires, I get UK 30 bands so I have enough band tightness to hold my tissue toward the front and for it to stay contained within those wires.
I think I can size down in the cup and get less coverage while maintaining a necessary amount of underwire width and height under the arms. I've ordered this in a UK 30F in a color called Blue Klein that looks very purplish blue on the Nordstrom website. The Bare Necessities site's photo of Blue Klein looks far less pure and vibrant. We'll see.
I'm glad to know of another plunge that has a gore just about low enough for me and whose wires are still wide and high enough for me. If the 30F from Nordstrom works, I'll probably be buying more Chantelle C Chic Sexy Plunges (3641). Read more 238 more words
The Chantelle Haussmann T-Shirt Bra is SO COMFY, I can hardly believe there are underwires in it. The wires are thoroughly hidden in FOAM PADDED CHANNELS. The center gore is too high for me, 2" high. I need 1.5" gores so they don't rest on breast tissue. In addition, I'm pretty sure the space between the tips of the underwires at the center gore is too big,. A center gore more than 1.5" high should ideally have overlapping wires at the gore.
However, the wires are so thoroughly cushioned, I can't with certainty say how wide apart the wires are at the gore. I can't feel the underwires under ...my arms, where they are possibly a bit too narrow, or at the too-high gore. The band is soft and cushy. There's no hard, tight elastic at the edges to press into your skin. The hooks and eyes are embedded in cushioned squares of fabric. The partially adjustable straps barely adjust short enough for me, but the non-adjustable part is cushioned.
This is a convertible bra. I can wear it cross-back. I got the Navy color, which may be better for me than beige, since I wear lots of dark tops, to downplay my upper body.
There is too much side tissue not contained in this bra for my taste. It's less pronounced if I wear the bra on the loosest hooks. Since I'm sister sizing a band up and cup size down, I tried it first on the tightest hooks. I think I can get away with wearing it on the loosest hooks, though. The wires don't seem to narrow too much on the sides.

There is a subtle diagonal seam in each cup. I tried the bra under my thinnest, clingiest tops, and the seams don't show. Hurray!
The cups are molded foam, not the push-up kind. The foam feels denser and less flexible than Chantelle and Fantasie spacer foam. The stiffer material may mean there is more lift than in spacer foam bras.
The cups are low coverage for a T-shirt bra. I kept looking at myself in the mirror and feeling the tops of the cups. I couldn't believe there was a T-shirt bra that was lower coverage than, say, Fantasie Rebecca, most Chantelle T-shirt bras, the Masquerade Amor...I've tried so many. Being a petite person, I want as low coverage cups as possible. Just because my boobs completely fill a Fantasie Rebecca spacer foam bra doesn't mean the bra will work under my tops. I don't even wear low-cut clothing, for the most part, but I've avoided many of my tops because of difficulty finding bras that will stay hidden. This means more than a short center gore. I also need short cups. I never expected to find a lowish coverage T-shirt bra in the Chantelle collection. I now have plenty of Ewa Michalak 3D bras with super low gores and low coverage cups, but they all have seams that show under some tight tops.
To sum up, I'm not sure this fits well, but it's super comfy. I bought this from Nordstrom Rack only intending to enter its measurements into Bratabase, but I'm considering keeping it to wear on days my body needs a rest from firm bras or on days I need an invisible, seamless bra.
Edited to add: I did return this bra the next day. As comfy as it is, I can't ignore how it doesn't leave my close set cleavage area alone. Since center gores above 1.5" high can't help but rest on breast tissue, it makes no sense to keep this. I have many bras with super low gores, and there's no way I can alter the Chantelle Haussman's gore to be narrower, what with its incredibly cushioned wire channels and all. If this had 1.5" center gore, I would buy it in every color. I would also buy backups and store them for the future. Foam padded wire channels, people. The next frontier for bra lovers. I bought the Chantelle Haussman T-shirt Bra from Nordstrom Rack simply to enter its measurements into Bratabase. Chantelle uses their own silly sizing system. This bra is equivalent to a UK 32F. As I usually wear a UK 30F, this bra is predictably a little too big in the cups. Fastening the bra on the tightest hooks and shortening the partially adjustable straps all the way, I still get a little gaping at the top of the cups near the gore. The cups are absurdly high coverage on me as well. I found a pretty good fit in the same bra in UK 32E. It's amazing what a difference one cup size makes. The molded cups are pretty low coverage in the 32E.
Unlike the 32E, I have no doubt the 32F's wires are wide enough for me, however.
This is a very comfortable bra, and a convertible one. It can be an invisible T-shirt bra. I tried it in Navy.

This bra fits well--the plunge style is good for close-set breasts. There is a tiny bit of wrinkling in the middle of the cups where the opaque fabric meets the lace (not sure if this problem is due to me having pretty even fullness--maybe this would work better for someone full on top or bottom). Unfortunately this is not a "sexy" bra on me--it creates absolutely no cleavage! It will work great as a t-shirt or everyday bra.
This may be one of my favorite bras. It is extremely comfortable and supportive. My only complaint (which is really just my personal taste) is that it is almost too separating. I feel like my boobs are totally front and center in this, if that makes sense. Initially, I get the tiniest bit of quadboob near the gore. After wearing for a couple of minutes, this goes away. I thought that the 70F would be a better fit, but I'm not sure about that any more. It seems that the cups are a bit on the larger side for an E, so if you are between and E ...and an F, perhaps size down. It's so stretchy that it seems forgiving. If you have a lot of center fullness, you may find that the elastic along the top of the cup digs in and gives you quadboob. That is probably the main shape issue with this bra.
As far as appearance goes, it's pretty average. It's definitely not a bra I would wear to wow my husband. There are much cuter options out there. But for a daily driver? Not too shabby. I would imagine the cut looks less matronly on taller folks with a longer torso. Shorter gals may find that the cups come up really high on the chest. Read more 112 more words
I was only able to exchange the 70G(that was way too tight), so I went with a 75G. The 75F quadraboobed just as much as the 70G, but I can't quite fill the 75G at the top. It's not terribly noticeable so I figured I'd just deal with it instead of spending even more money on another bra to exchange.
I love the round shape it gives me, and the wire width and height is perfect. But that's about all I love about it.
The straps have a ruffle thing going on and it can be a bit scratchy if I move a certain way. The gore digs ...in just a bit but it's possible that bending the wires slightly would alleviate that. The cup also comes up too close to my armpit/tail of spence and tends to dig in painfully there whenever my arms out front. Like while I'm driving or typing on the computer(which is what I do for work). So I end up with a nice red, tender line on my tail of spence/armpit fat by the time I take my bra off.
The biggest problem I have with this bra is that I think there's a defect. I've uploaded two pics of this. The band is cut in such a way that I feel like it should have the more narrow 2 hook clasp attached. However, it has the wider 2 hook clasp attached instead which means theres a gap of about .5" that is isn't connected to the actual band(only the decorative lace). It's like dagger corners stabbing me in the back. I've sent an email to the store to see if they can confirm if this is a defect. Read more 178 more words
I have FOB breasts, and the cup gapes at the straps. Cups are also narrow, so it's not always the best fit on my wide roots. The straps can become twisted up (I think because it has narrow straps). Plus: It's really cute! I love the design!
I like this bra a lot. I love how low the gore is. I like the detail on the straps. No complaints other than that the band is a bit too big and the cup a bit too small. :/ Wish they carried it in my actual size!
This bra was sent to me by mistake, so I can say nothing about the fit. It is quite pretty and delicate looking for a non-wired bra. It also has a much more mature look than most bralet type bras that I would compare it to guessing at its support and fit. The elastic of the band is covered with a loose over layer for a smooth ribbon appearance.
A+ for Nordstrom customer service for calling me while the package was still in transit to let me know that they had discovered the error and would like to begin correcting it for me.
The bra provides some support, but perhaps I need more support. Also be boobs are pretty much pushed together. My sister claims the bra cup is too small. However, I also see some wirnkling at the tops.
An excellent bra, though with the same problem as the others like it I've had, with the underwire against the rib just to the right of the sternum. This bra is just a little too small for me, having purchased it when I weighed about five pounds less. I wore it for a little while (until realizing it was the wrong size).

This is a fantastic bra, save for one detail. For me, due to a slight asymmetry where my breasts lie over my frame, the right underwire at my sternum rests directly on my ribs on the right side, causing a slight but constant rubbing. Were it not for that detail, this would be the prefect bra for me.
Updated: I've liked this bra quite a lot as a preliminary introduction to bras that are closer to the right size (note: I have two of these bras in black). The only long term problem I've had with this bra relate to the gore, as it digs into the ribs ...that connect to my sternum on the right. I had a constant sore there where the skin was scarred from the rubbing. My solution to this was to pin a folded pretty shoulder pad I'd ripped out of a dress (cloth covered foam) to the inside of the gore. This has worked sufficiently well.
Clearly, the bra doesn't fit me well anymore. Gore issues aside, the cups are too small. Additionally, I've taken this bra in two to three inches (to better fit my rib cage), so it's not a true 32G anymore. Read more 94 more words

I'm looking for bras that have a wider wire as I seem to have wider roots than I originally thought. I went to Intimacy and picked this one up.
It gives a really nice rounded shape. And that's probably the end of the pros lists, unfortunately.
When trying it on in the store, the 70 felt good but once I got home and tried it some more, I noticed it's just way too tight for me. I think even if I managed to stretch it out some, it'd be painfully too tight to wear for more than a few minutes. The cup was also just a smidge too small. There was a tiny bit of quadraboob going on. Will be returning it tomorrow.
I'm not sure if this happens to bustier ladies, but I get a really weird speed bump due to the padding at the bottom that does not go all the way to the top. It looks really weird, even under a shirt. Do you pull out the padding? Am I missing something?
