pros: this bra is extremely well-made and lovely both on and off. it offers a comfortable everyday level of support and it's sexy enough for a romantic evening. also for those of us with tiny ribcages, the band tends to run smaller. i love how pretty and classy i feel in this bra.
cons: this is probably mostly due to my wearing a size smaller than i should, but the cups give me an odd shape, especially under thin shirts. i have to push each breast up and to the side at least once a day (and usually more often) to avoid four-boob - which means it's not the best bra for cleavage.
I think i got the wrong size for this style or it just isn't the right cut for me. The fabric part of the cups actually fits quite nicely--no quadboob and no wrinkling. However, after wearing it for a full day, i have a painful imprint of where the gore dug into my chest. The band also became increasingly tight-feeling throughout the day. Im not sure if this would work for me in another size, as the gore was uncomfortably high even though the cups appeared to fit well. I don't think a bigger band or cup size would fix this problem, although it shoukd fix the band tightness problem. Otherwise, the diagonal seam fell in just the right spot to prevent high beams and it gave a nice shape under clothes.
Too roomy all around in the cups, and the straps were placed too far apart for me. I'd need to try at least one cup size down for this bra to work. Love the narrow gore though!
Straps are also a little difficult to adjust due to the decorative layered fabric.
Sometimes a bra technically fits you, but isn't right for you. This is that bra for me. It hit all the marks of a fitting bra, but it just wasn't for me. The cups squished my breasts in a little and were slightly east/west on me. It's a shame because this bra is constructed nicely and is a beautiful basic.

I love the look of this bra in the navy colorway. The cups are moulded, which is probably why I didn't get on with it. I wish that the cups were a bit deeper as well. The straps can be converted into other styles.
I really wish that this bra ran a bit larger. The spacer material felt amazing on my boobs. I would even try and find it in a sister size because it was so comfortable. There is also an inner sling in the inside that helps to support. The straps have this cute crinkle detail that add to to what could be considered a basic bra.
I think that I bought this Chantelle without fitting it correctly because at the time I was desperate for a bra that even remotely fitted (I lost a fair amount of weight). The gore tacks perfectly but the under-wire comes up to a point on my chest where it digs in and is painful/causes bruises (this could be a sizing issue however, I now require a smaller band size etc.). The cups gape a little at the sides just near my underarm, I know this is not a cup-size/bra-size issue as I tried a cup size above and below this that were obviously too small ...or too big. Though i'm not sure I know enough about breast shape/depth etc. to say why this is!
Aside from the digging in of the under-wire the bra has actually been mostly comfortable, I sometimes need to adjust straps at the end of the day. It is a VERY flattering cut and shape and I swear makes me look a whole dress size smaller. Of course the black and sheer fabric also make it super sexy. It's made out of a very sturdy fabric in the front but the band fabric seems to differ slightly and is a little more stretchy. It seems to have stretched out quickly even with only a few wears and washes in between so I could see that being a problem for bra longevity. Read more 129 more words
Love this bra. This is very comfortable and have been wearing for a couple of weeks. Love the cut, love the fabric, love the 2 tone colors (have pink/black and purple/black). Some bras feel like my breasts are being pushed towards the middle. This one does not. I feel the band is snug enough, but love that it doesn't feel overly tight (it stretches a fair amount). Fits smooth across top and the pushup insert pushes breasts a little more towards middle and gives very natural looking cleavage. Bra gives nice rounded shape.
I have mixed feelings about this bra. It is well made for sure. The materials feel luxe to me, the band feels firm (unlike many of Chantelle's newer offerings), and the hardware solid. The cups are lined with a silky taupe fabric that feels smooth but makes the bra appear sheer. My favorite part is the straps, black with a cream running stitch down each side, pretty enough to not worry if they show.
But though my partner complemented the sexy appearance of the bra, I felt dowdy in it. I felt it overwhelmed my petite frame and was self-conscious of it showing over the neckline of my shirts. The gore was definitely too high for me as well.
Edit 2/25/14: This was my first bra that fit - originally I barely liked it. Now I think it's my best fitting despite the issues I have with the band. I've adjusted my ratings accordingly. The cups are great for my shallow breasts, and the wires are the perfect width (haven't nailed down my narrow or wide-ness yet). The band has stretched a bit and become more comfortable, although if I inhale all the way the band will creak as though it isn't meant to stretch! The lace is nice, though along the top of one cup it folds outward a bit (not because of quadding, probably from ...my incessant slouching). You can also see in my pictures that the lace along the bottom edge in the front also folds up, probably also from slouching. The wings are a nice height and this bra doesn't squish me anywhere, making it very attractive to wear (although a little constricting due to the stiffness of the band - seems like a contradiction, too constricting and not stretchy enough yet also too loose, but it's somehow true?). The straps are a bit wide set for me, and I'd love this in a 28dd, but it's still a great t-shirt bra (I really need to get one in nude) and I wish I could find more that fit like it for reasonable prices!
Original review: The band on this bra is really stiff and it makes the whole bra feel poorly fitting and loose even on the tightest hook. The cups are fine, the lace accents are nice on them. The lace along the bottom of the band, however, folds upward on me and is slowly sticking out more and more. The underwires poke me in the sternum and I'm often adjusting the center front to stop the uncomfortable feeling. The straps are fine, though they're very close to not adjusting short enough - I have about an inch left as they are currently. Overall, this bra feels kind of tank-like - heavy, stiff, and thick. Plunges don't usually work for me because my boobs will fall toward the middle, but this keeps them right in place. The cups are very wide and pretty shallow, which is perfect for me. The center gore is very low and the ends of the wires dig in there and it becomes uncomfortable by the end of the day. Other than that, a great bra. Really pretty too.
I've had a very similar experience. I'm shocked that I can wear the plunge at all - amazing! I think one cup size down fit a bit better than the one I got, but I had to to accommodate my larger side. The center gore, however, is very low and narrow and YOUCH it starts to dig in after only a few hours on me. I'm considering padding it or something. Gorgeous bra, comfortable everywhere else, amazing fit. But pretty gnarly center gore pain (even when I add an extender to loosen the whole band).
My first bra that actually fits me! Very nice quality, the lace doesn't scratch, it's neither too large nor too big on me. Problem is, if you aren't used to underwires, it may feel rather odd.
This fits really well, but is rather uncomfortable and somewhat painful after a full days wear. The center gore comes up way to high for me and digs in to my chest.
So, I bought this bra on Mon (Feb 3), and it was actually the third in a long line of bras I tried on at my first ever bra fitting. Originally we discounted it because it gave me a little bit of a quad boob, but only slightly, and pretty much only on my bigger side. We went back to it because it was the one that was most comfortable/fit me/I liked best. She brought me a 32F to try on, but it was too big. Although, after having this for a few days, I'm curious how a 30F might fit. All in all it's pretty great, I ...mean, it's miles better than my old 34D bras. The tip of the gore is maybe a couple millimeters off my chest, but it mostly lies flat. Also, the band fluctuates between feeling too loose or too tight on occasion, but I think that's a body issue, not a bra issue, since it has more of a fixed size than me. The straps are actually split into two .25" straps until about halfway up, and sometimes rub together and make a noise, but I don't think it's super audible. Read more 90 more words
This bra is gorgeous! I am in love with it! This is my favorite out of the bras I own. The color is just so beautiful and vibrant and I really like the fabric. The only thing that bothers me a little is the straps; they have this roucheing(sp?) design that sort of scratchy and irritating. Other than that I love this bra! EDIT: I've completely changed my mind about this bra. Though it is beautiful, it just doesn't fit. I get quadboob AND gaping on the bottom of the cups. Also, the band is too big.
