When I first bought this, it fit well, but was a bit stiff and sometimes pokey. Then, there were about one or two days where it fit perfectly, but now it's not nearly as firm and supportive as it used to be. Even though I got it on sale, I'm pretty disappointed with what was supposed to be a quality bra.
I got this just before my period and all out PMS weight and it fit just ok I think I was in the DD range but that one didn't work for me (I think I was coming out of the cups still at the sides, I think I have some migration back now). It was comfy enough that I almost wanted to just fall asleep in it ha! I liked that it caught all my under arm stuff, the thing I didn't like too much though was there was still a little room in the bottom of the cups for me. The other thing was that the lace ...part of the cup didn't seem to quite cover everything there was a smidge of peeking nip, not enough to really notice though. Now all out PMS weight I'm measuring somewhere in the F or FF range (haven't tried any on yet) and this is filling out a little better maybe a little tight in the under arm, way less wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. It's just not quite a good enough fit that I want to keep it and certainly too expensive to keep for just one week a month. I do like that it seems to minimize my bust since I might want some thing with that look for certain events, so if I could find it in a better fit for a cheaper price or if I could find something like it... Mostly okay in store, but... ~WIRE probably too narrow ~ BAND perfect ~ CUP quadboob on right, a little too snug in both, but the stretch lace disguises it ~ STRAP not too wideset (shock)
It felt fine in store, but I suspect the wire will start hurting because the cups are slightly too small. I wish they made this in a UK G or GG (US I or J).
I am considering getting it in 36H and shortening the band.
The straps dig in terribly. The center gore does not lay flat against the sternum. Straps are difficult to adjust. Cups do not encapsulate breast on the sides, lot of spillage on both sides underneath the arms.
Well, this bra is really comfortable, except for the gore. It's really wide or something because it doesn't lay flat on me. I've never had this problem before, my boobs are I guess wider set maybe I think ? So that's not something that usually happens. I've been trying to find an unpadded bra I can actually wear without worrying about show-through and this is not it. I guess I'll just stick to molded :/
First specialty shop purchase from a pro bra fitter. Fits well, comfortable to wear, chafes a bit around the armpit / strap attachment but might break in a bit. Overall a quality bra, but a bit matronly looking. I could learn to love it.
Happy bra, happy bra ^.^ I love it. Band is a bit stretched out from wear, but it fits so lovely otherwise that it doesn't even matter. I could wear this thing constantly.
This is such a well-made bra I just wished it fit me. Even with two bra extenders it's still too small in the band and I have to struggle to even hook it up. The cups are my sister size to my 40D/38DD normal sizing and fit my boobs but I don't really care for the fit. So this bra I'll give to my friend and see if she can get some use out of it.Don't let my review influence you . It's not the bra, it's me. Let me say again that this bra is full quality and very well-made!
I like that I can wear it under low-cut tops. The ribbed straps were a little itchy at first but softened up after a few wears and watches. My softer breasts to fall out a bit in the center a bit, which is my standard issue with plunges, but is not too bad, thanks to the bit of elastic in the lace along the top of the cup. The band does seem pretty stretchy.
This is probably my most versatile bra right now, in terms of what I can wear it under, as it is really comfortable, provides surprisingly good nipple coverage for an unmolded bra and does not show through most shirts.
May cut in at top. Very soft cups and they feel nice. Good shape under clothes. Band rides up just a tiny bit. Wing height may be a bit high, not the wire itself but the outside of the cup is in my armpit sometimes. Runs a size small due to French sizing. Not a true 30F UK.
After I sent back the 70G, I knew I just had to order it in the smaller size. It's so worth it. This is a really great, comfortable, cute looking bra.
Much like in my review for the larger size, I love the detailing and thought put into this bra, and also the high quality of the materials. The solid fabric that makes up the cup feels like butter, and the lace is very soft as well. I feel like Chantelle really knows how to make a good product, and I'm glad I finally found the size that fits. In this bra in particular, the wires are nice and narrow and I have no threat of the cups cutting into my armpits. The shape it gives is really natural - not perfectly round, but slightly pointed much in the way that my boobs ARE slightly pointed. It's basically a perfect match to my torpedo shape, but it's supportive.
My experiments in Chantelle have been interesting and enlightening. I find that I am somewhere in between their F and E cups right now (some day my weight will stop fluctuating, but today is not that day.)
In the C chic style, I could maybe go down to the E, due to the fact that there is some empty space on the sides of the cup and there is a little bit of an armpit-cutoff going on (very minor, enough to note but not enough to ruin my experience with the bra) However, having tried on the plunge in an E on a fuller day, I noted ...that it can cause some mild quad-boobing. Maybe I ought to have one of each depending on what sort of day my boobs are having. I really like the shape that this bra gives, it's nicely rounded from the side.
Style-wise, this is a pretty straight-forward quality bra. It has the same subtle embroidered pattern as the other C chic bras, sexy mesh at the top of the cups, and a little jeweled detail on the center gore. It seems good for day-to-day use, although I wish I'd nabbed it in a different color since I already have a black mesh bra which fulfills this niche (my beloved Claudette Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) ) but I suppose it's good to have multiples. I kind of wish the gore were a little higher? I just feel like it doesn't need to be that low, but I guess "plunging" is serious business. I generally don't care about gores one way or another because I have wide-set boobs and never have any issues with them. I guess I would just feel more secure. Read more 189 more words
This band is not forgiving compared to the other Chantelle models I've worn. It's the least stretchy of the three other 36Ds that I have, and it feels tighter than is comfortable.
