this 30H bra fits more like a 28HH or 28H even. too small https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> the cups are super stretchy and don't give any support. the straps are to far apart for me and I've never had that problem before.
Firstly, this bra most definitely runs small in the band - I'm usually a 32GG and the 34 band fit perfectly snug. I also think it's big in the cup - I should have ordered a 34FF regardless as I generally need to size down one cup for unpadded styles, but the amount of gaping I get on this bra is ridiculous, it sticks out over a centimeter out from my breast!
However, it's a lovely bra - the print is one of the crispest I have ever seen on clothing, the non-stretch lace half of the cup is sturdy and good quality, the fabric has a lovely satin-y ...feel to it. The wires are relatively narrow, on par with Panache Jasmine, and -very- firm.
My main qualm with this bra is the straps - they're wide and spaced nicely, however they are insanely difficult to adjust due to the lacey loops on the edges. They certainly won't slip down though! Also this particular bra is a bit too wide and a bit tall-winged for me, although I think this might have to do with it being too big on me. However if you're in this size range or higher and high wings bother you, this might not be the best choice. The gore is also very tall, this doesn't bother me but it might bother you.
I will be reordering this bra in a 34F, very excited to be able to wear it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> [Edit: check out the review for the 34F - Charnos » Sienna (129501) here] Read more 157 more words
So this is following from my previous review of the 34G - Charnos » Sienna (129501). The quality of the bra is the same as previously mentioned - feels great, straps are great, details are subtle, print is the crispest I've ever seen on fabric. Although on this particular bra I do have a fair few loose threads at the top of the gore, which is manageable but a bit concerning.
I had to size down two cup sizes as the 34G was more than a little bit ridiculous on me. I get the tiniest bit of quadding in this bra but I think that's more of ...a shape issue than sizing. The specific cut of the wings does frame my ToS quite noticeably, I probably wouldn't wear a sleeveless shirt with this bra.
I'm a little bit frustrated with the band as well, the band in the 34G was rock solid but this one fits more like a Panache/Pour Moi 34 - definitely still firm, but not a sure-fire size up. 32 would probably be too much of a gamble.
But - it fits! Technically. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I can only manage a soft tack (I need so much projection at the gore that this doesn't remotely surprise me) and the non-stretch mesh upper is a bit finicky, but it's a lovely bra all the same and I'll certainly consider another Charnos.
This time round I also got the matching panty and my god is it comfortable. The fabrics are identical and feel amazing against the skin, even the mesh section. Highly recommended! Read more 158 more words
This bra is a 32F but is too big for me. It goes up too high on my chest and wrinkles abound. Simply not for my breast shape! However, it seems as if it would be very comfortable on the right chest. Brand new with tags!
Quite nice bra and it fits comfortably. After washing it faded out again and again which I dislike because those black color might be some risk of skin irritation. Quality is not as good as I know from Fauve or Freya.
It might look as if it was but its not The right Size for me. The band is too Loose and The cups seem to give ne some kind of flatening minimizer effect. Quality nevertheless is fine.
This bra -- as with many other strapless/multiway bras I've been trying have projection fit issues. The wires are pretty wide, They extend all the way under my arm-- I prefer much narrow wires. I'm pretty squishy though so they aren't uncomfortable or anything.
The fit gives a lot of book separation; just on appearance the breasts look pretty splayed and minimized.
This is an OK fit, and I will hold on to this one until I find a bra with a better fit/silhouette.
This bra is wide and shallow. Even though it isn't a plunge bra, it kind of has that shape to it. As a person with wide set breasts, this bra doesn't do anything to move them to the front; instead, I feel my breasts are flattened and pushed into my armpits. The fabric is soft and comfortable.
Very rounded shape, slightly minimising and very soft. The elastic on the top of the cups seems a little loose but I also wouldn't say it gapes. Not super supportive due to the printed meshlike fabric on the lower cup, would be better with simplex. Print and colourway is lovely, and it's pretty comfortable.
Could you comment on how this fits compared to Curvy Kate or Panache? Even better, would be able to measure the cup depth? :)
imnotapickle I'll try to remember to measure it for you this weekend. I wear 34JJ in panache envy and the envy is way more supportive. I haven't worn it for ages to remember the fit details.
This shape is slightly pointed, but over all a really smooth shape full shape. The cups really don't stretch, but the band has some nice give to it. The straps are a little wide set, and I find it falling off, how ever this could be due to the fact that the top part of the cup is a bit big on me, (I think I needed an H) it is comfortable beyond that, not prefect fit. But wearable. SO pretty in person, the photos don't do the delicacy of the lace justice.
i bought online & it said padded, so i expected some padding or heavier lining. it wasnt padded and my less-than-ample tissue didnt quite fill the cups properly. there was some extra space at the top of the cup and (i'm guessing) that "looseness" contributed to the bra not "holding" the scoop&swoop tissue from near my arm pit, thus making this a no-go for me.
This is one of my first non-molded bras, and I'm getting used to the feeling of it. I don't like that I can see my nipples through it, and that the seams are visible under my shirts, but that's par for the course for this type of bra. The cup on my smaller boob is perfect, but there's a bit of a cutting into the larger breast. I may need to size up to a GG in this bra.
This bra has a looser band, but still within range for a 32. It is made up of a slightly stretchy lace fabric and then all but the top of the cup is lined in a non-stretch mesh. The gore is quite narrow and I found the cup deep, especially at the bottom.
This bra reminded me a bit of the Panache Andorra, but for me this was a better fit. The shape is a little less rounded and spread out than Andorra (I prefer a more projected look) and this bra came up a little less full coverage (good for me as I am 5'1") and finally, Charnos wires just tend to be less firm than Panache (which is my personal preference and fine in my size range, but your mileage may vary here.)
My favorite bra! So comfortable and has held up for a long time. A few loose threads but nothing too bad. I might try to buy more in other colors if I can find them.
Much more heavily padded and heavy than the usual bras I buy. But the detailing and high quality construction are apparent in this bra. It fits beautifully, especially on the sides. My husband liked the antique styling of this bra.
i knew it was a risk to buy this, as there is really no info anywhere on the fit. but, t was on eBay for a reasonable price, brand new, so i gave it a go. it doesn't fit unfortunately https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> i donked up the name when i added this- it should have Padded Balconette in the title.
as looks go this is gorgeous! the material is silky and a pale pink that leans a little purple. the bow on the gore has little embellishments on one side, and there are embroidered leaves on the cups. the straps are half adjustable, and the ...cups have one vertical seam.
fit is where i run into issues. the band can be easily fastened on the last hook- i think i would take a 32 band here. the cups are too large in both width and depth-i can feel a little empty space at the sides, but mostly at the apex and the tops of the cups when im wearing it. it doesn't *look* too large at first, the top of the cup sits flat on my narrower, more projected L side and nearly flat on my shallower wider R side, but i can feel the space. i think the molded cups hide the size issue. you can see from the pictures of it laying flat that the single seam is very projected, my best guess is that this is too deep for me.
the straps dont feel too far apart on this, which is a blessing considering balcony bras have had my armpits crying out for mercy. oddly, the gore doesn't want to tack, it floats a bit. im wondering if the band being too loose is the cause? im not experienced in that area of fitting issue, ive always assumed a non-tacking gore was the result of too small cups. if i push it down, i dont get any quadboobing.
im still debating on keeping this or selling it- right now its at least wearable and doesn't have any fit issues that cause pain, but it definitely isn't a correct fit. Read more 243 more words
32 band fits like a 30, which is what I expected and the reason I decided to try it. The band length is very comfortable for me.
Wires are very stiff - you will not be able to bend them. Don't waste your herculean strength trying. That said, they aren't uncomfortable. Width is about 5.5 inches, so narrow, though about half an inch wider than my ideal. Still, they don't feel overly wide, and oddly feel strangely narrower than Freya bras with the same wire width (which I can in no way explain with logic).
Wings are tall. Personally, that's ...a plus for me, but if you constantly are looking for short wings, this is not the bra for you. The wires under the arm actually come up higher than the wires at the center gore, which is a nice mid-height that doesn't appear to stab my projected sternum.
Material is soft, design is feminine and delicate with floral embroidery in a light pink along the top of the cup.
As par for the course, the bra is too short for my tall root, and so I quad a bit out the top. I don't think this is so much a size issue as it is a shape issue. The cups have average, moderate sort of projection, but I'm extremely projected so on me the whole look is a bit wide and flat. Cups are not perfectly round, nor strictly pointy, but have a soft point. It's not an unappealing shape, but not the melon-shaped boobs that is currently trending. It has a sort of soft, vintage feeling to it. I can imagine this bra as looking oh-so-natural under a 50s look, but maybe that's just my imagination gone wild.
Overall is a very nice, sturdy bra that runs off by about a band and a cup. I would estimate the fit of the 32G to be closer to a 30G. Support feels perfectly acceptable, but due to the cutting I'm experiencing up top, it's not ideal for my shape. Read more 245 more words
That is a super pretty bra! I am this size, so just looked it up- had never heard of this brand :)
It is a very nice bra, but a sort of 2nd tier brand that there's not a lot of information on, so I decided for the $30 I spent on it, it was worth a try. I'm massively projected, with tall boobs so it didn't quite work out for me, but it's almost a shape like Freya, but with a fit closer to Curvy Kate. Very, very nice. I think if my boobs were a bit less tall it might have been a really nice fit.
