I bought the Peacock (teal and gray) colorway and it is probably the most "my style" bra out of the ones I've tried recently, but the shape is just not right for me. It's quite shallow, I have trouble filling the bottom of it and it cuts into my tall roots. The shape is definitely not the rounded look you get from moulded bras and I don't love the shape it gives me, but I think if you are shallow with a FOB or even shape and/or not tall roots, you would get a much nicer, rounder look. All in all, a very beautiful and well made bra, but just not for me.

I thought this colorway is from a previous season? The band tightness seems consistent with SS15 Claudette so I don't know. Does the band feel super tight on you? I wear mine with an extender and it fixes some of the cup issues.

I'll bet the cup width on this one is a part of the problem. The 28DD I have isn't even 5", and it's too wide on me when I'm not bloated.

Another thing that I noticed with mine is that a slightly too-large cup brought the top edge of the cup high enough that it doesn't cut in on my tall roots.

Claudette, I want to figure you out, and I want you to work for us petites. We are running low on unlined options here!

    • I don't actually know what season it's from. I got it off Zulily.

The band is quite tight, yeah. I don't have a band extender though, but that might be a good option. I don't quite want to get rid of it yet, but I'm also tired of owning bras that I don't love.

And, sorry that's a typo on my part. The width is closer to 4.85. I'll update that now.

    • It looks like there's a report from another user who also reported that the teal one runs tighter than previous years.

Definitely get an extender if it feels tight. This bra becomes unforgiving of tightness by the end of a day's wear. I don't remember if you were the person who has a 25" ribcage, if so I'll bet this would break in in no time for you. Me, I'm getting a 30 band on my next Claudette, hopefully they don't change up their fit again.

I have found most of my Claudettes to run more narrow in the cup than this, I wonder if you got an unusual one.

    • I'm more like a 26" but this is still pretty tight. Might be a good idea to have a bra extender in general.

It could also be that I'm bad at measuring. I'll try again tomorrow along with my 28DD and we'll see what I get.

Haha, I do want them to change the fit! Less shallow & FOB would be great.

I bought this bra this summer, but soon my boobs grew and now there is not enough space for them near the gore. The gore still tacks, but the top of the cup cuts in.

Only stretches to 28 inches, I measure approx 31 so doesn't go anywhere near doing up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> I'm devastated, I sized up to 32 from my usual 30 as I knew this was supposed to run small, but I'd need a 34 minimum in this.
Can't comment further unfort, other than to say it's the unpadded lacy shoulder bra of dreams, sob.

    • That is one of the smallest 32's I've seen! It would fit me, and I'm a 28.5" ribcage!!! I think it runs at least a size and a half too small!

    • I wish this bra wasn't so damn wide. Both reviews of it measure it to have ridiculously wide wires. I love the aesthetics of it and every time it pops up on zulily I wish I could wear it.

    • talesofa30band it's I'd cos the unstretched measurement isn't that small, but it has barely any stretch compared to ALL THE OTHER BRAS IN THE WORLD (-ish) ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
@lcl0706 I got it from zulily, this is the third time I've lusted hard after seeing it on there so decided to go for it to put me out of my misery even though in my gut I knew it might not work out ๐Ÿ˜’ would this be the size you'd go for?

    • If the band truly only stretches to 28" then yes this would be my sister size. But with a 27" UB that band better not stretch any farther. That said, 5.9" wires is an inch too wide for me :( Is that for real?? The review for the 28G also shows very wide wires. I wish this bra was narrow like Dessous. It's gorgeous.

This is more of a lounge around the house bra for me. Very comfy but just ok in the support department. I would say the band is true to size and that the cups run small.

  6. Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000)

This review is for the Blondie colorway, beige with neon pink accents. I believe it is from SS14.

I do not find the mesh itchy or too stiff. This bra is extremely thin and lightweight, it would be great for warm weather.
I get next to no lift from this bra. The underwires are narrower than Juna and Marcie, and the band is nice and tight. But it's quite shallow and there's a lot of cutting in at the top on my bigger boob (I think it's because of tall roots)

This is a fantastic bra, especially since I got it from Claudette's Encore site (so it was on huge discount!) I'm fast falling in love with seamed bras and I love the fun colors Claudette puts out, especially in Dessous. The fabric is softer than I expected on my skin and it's quite comfortable to wear for a full day of work on my feet. One thing I've noted about Claudette's bras is that their bands are very stretchy. This hasn't proven to be a problem for me thus far though.

This might sound funny since this is obviously a nude bra, but it feels extra nude looking on. It's a strange phenomenon. This bra is similar to the other Claudette I've had, American Tan.

The fishnet style is different than any other style of bra I own which is why I bought it. I really like the aqua colourway with contrasting black trim. The trim is a firmer elastic that is felt-lined. Overall, the fit gave me a natural shape--not pointy and not overly round. The cup volume is a bit small for me. 30G would have been a better fit. That being said, I intend on wearing this to compliment certain outfits and it is by no means a daily workhorse bra.

This review is for the neon pink colourway. This version of Dessous is from Claudette's first release of the model. The neckline on the cups is definitely taller and more of a sharper v-shape than the newer versions of Dessous. There's a smooth feel to the mesh which has been removed with recent versions. In terms of cup, the depth is about the same as the newer versions, but the wire width and shape is more narrow in this version. If you have tried a newer Dessous and found that the wire was a bit wide, the older first season models might give you a better fit. On me, the wires were too narrow.

Compared to the Cameo version of the Dessous, the cups run really big. Either that, or my boobs changed a whooole lot, in very weird ways. Anyway, the band is loose, as per the rumours. The material isn't that soft, but it's not unpleasant, either. The colors are really nice!

I tried on this bra 5 times thinking it was too big. I adjusted the straps very short and found it fits quite well - just slightly gaping at the top of the cup, but not an issue under clothes.

I get quite a minimized shape. Slightly round, slightly natural shape.

30 bands are too tight for my preference, 32 band is great.

The longline aspect is a bit off. The cups are stretchy (unlike all the other Dessous versions), and this warps the short longline bit in the front. This could be exasperated by the fat on my ribs.. not sure.

I get slight quad boob at the gore, but not enough to say it is unwearable or noticeable under clothing.

Straps feel a bit wide, but don't painfully cut in like Cleo's did.

This review is for my 30G Dessous Sucre in black. I believe Claudette stopped making the "Sucre" line after the first or second season. From my understanding (as confirmed by a Claudette rep), early model Dessous and Dessous Sucre varied only in the model number and the strap colour. Sucre had the bright pink strap while non Sucre did not. I believe they discontinued this system after establishing how much variation they wanted to play on the strap colour and how it would be confusing going forward. Regarding the early model Dessous and Sucre, the cut and materials used were identical. Measuring this bra, you will notice the wires and cups are identical to early models of Dessous.

Fit wise, the Sucre's wires are a bit narrow for me. This is likewise the case with the Neon Pink early model Dessous I own. The cups are also taller than more recent models.

This review is for the SS2015 red colourway. All of the bras I own from this season measure roughly the same. I wouldn't say that they are as exact as say, Freya Decos in terms of measurements, but that might be more attributed to it being a soft cup rather than a moulded cup bra. My red Dessous measures just slightly bigger than my navy and my light orange bras of the same model. I'd say that there's a bit more fabric being used all together. It is a partial band bra, with a bit more fabric than my moulded cup bras. I've noticed that that bit of ... fabric rolls under and into my ribcage (not flipping up but flipping down?) but only under my heavier breast. It only happens on this bra and I think it has to do with a combination of the wires not tacking properly under my boobs due to the band being too big and the cups being a bit small and there being that extra bit of band fabric that floats and wants to curl underneath. It's so hard to explain, but I own full band bras that don't do this.

This review is for the SS20015 Navy colourway. It's a good everyday bra. The straps, while on the thinner side of bras in this size range, are comfortable enough. The only bra in this size I own with thinner straps is the 30G - Gossard ยป Superboost Satin Plunge Bra (5771) which hurt a bit. The comfy thin straps do cause a bit of bounce, but I'm not a bouncy walking person, so it isn't a disaster.

This review is for the SS2015 light orange colourway is probably my favourite Dessous colourway. It's a warm light coral on the bottom half of the cup and a complimentary peachy beige on top. The straps are a vibrant but medium pink and all the colours are very complimentary. It almost works as a skin tone bra for me though I couldn't wear it under light blouses because of the straps and also my fear or nipple exposure. It works great under just about everything else though. The shape I get from this is natural and not too rounded. That's works fine for me as it's more of a low key, minimized shape.

This Dessous model is from the SS2015 collection. I bought it because I've recently become a fan of Dessous bras as they are quite comfortable without adding bulk to my bustline. This is way too small for me. The band is nice and snug, but that is partly because of the cups being much too small. The cut of the cups is noticeably less high than the original versions in this model. The fit caters then to even or FOB breast types.

This bra is amazing, but not quite perfect. It has the narrow wires I need, and lots of projection, *and* center pull straps, *and* I didn't have to order it from Poland! My shape is very FoB, my roots are short and narrow, and I'm very projected so a lot of bras are too shallow for me. I love all the projection with this bra. It's one of very few I've found that has enough immediate projection that it actually sits in my IMF. The wires are flexible but strong. It's so comfortable, I was able to take a nap wearing it. The cut is very similar to ... Claudette Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000) except for the strap placement. I love center pull straps because they stay on my shoulders and out of my armpits, and avoid the chafing that wide-set balconette style straps often cause. And they provide a rounder shape than the Dessous because the center lift helps to pull in and round out the pointy end. The look under clothing is good but not great, it's just a little saggy. I don't love the mesh fabric. It's pretty stretchy so it moves with my body and allows some jiggling, although not quite as badly as the Dessous because the straps help to support and stabilize the center. It was scratchy at first but softened up nicely with a couple of washes. I really wish they would make a bra with this cut and the Cool Cotton fabric, or with a satin fabric.

There seems to be some variation in fit with different colorways; a problem that Claudette has had with other models in the past. This review is for the pink colorway. The band is extremely stretchy. It's already very comfortable for me on the loosest hook. If you like a tight band you may want to size down in this colorway. By contrast, I also ordered a 36F in the goldie colorway and its band is much tighter. The cups on this one (the 36FF) give me just a little bit of gapping at the top, but the 36F cups were too small. I can live with a bit of gapping; I'm used to it because of being so FOB. All in all, this is not my unicorn bra, but it's a definite keeper.

Edited to add: after washing and wearing several times, the fabric still feels scratchy and gets irritating after a few hours of wear. If it weren't for that problem it would be nearly perfect.
