  1. Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000)

well, this is my favourite colour of Dessous so far - it like purple and grey mixes - looks very nice on my pale skin. The bra feels as good as my 32DD - Claudette ยป Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) , but im getting tiny quadboob - its not really noticeable under t-shirts so definietly im going to keep this bra. I wouldnt mind if the wires would have just 12.2-12.3cm as they would fit better, but is not bad.

On the larger side I have some wrinkling on the top nxt to the strap - probably the cup is just too tall on me or is more for person with fuller on top breasts. On the small side there is a lot of wrinkling around - on the bottom, on the top and sides are weird. Actually I could fix the cups but i think is better to keep tiny too small 30e rather than this one. Also, I love the narrow wires and their flexibility which makes the bra so comfy!

It would be so amazing if not the wide set of straps.. the cups are more than perfect (beside this 0.5cm too wide wires), but it makes such lovely shape. Also bra feels very comfy thanks to its wider and softer straps comparing to other dessous. Also, the band is tighter than other 30Es but thans not an issue with the extender. Overal is such shame i cant keep it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

The bra is so pretty! I love the mint and navy combination. Although the band is so tiny!! I need like 1 full and 2 hooks from another extender coz the band is way too tight! is more for someone who wears 28 maybe even 26. The cups also are quite small. Bra looks like 28E. Beside that is very soft and makes nice shape like as a halcup.

    Hasn't set fit

I think this bra technically fits, but I feel so meh over it.

I feel a bit flattened by it. It's not very supportive and my boobs just feel sad and minimized (when I wear my Cleo Lily or Marcie my boobs feel so perky!) The top of the cups seems to hit my boobs at a bad place - a bit high-creating a flattening effect.

I might deal with it if I had it one of the color schemes I'm lusting after, but I think a 28F or 28E might suit me better.

This measured oddly similar to my 30F Marcie and some other bras, and I really wanted the color, so I gave it a go. The cups are ridiculously wide on my frame (I'm used to 30E bras) but I do fill out the tops of the cups okay. I tried a 30E as well and it fits okay, but I think 28F would suit me best.

It's so pretty and soft!... I want to just keep it.

This review is for the blondie colorway. For the full rant, see my review on the peacock colorway (also in 28G).

I LOVE this color - a light cream with neon pink straps and seaming, with a big beautiful pink bow on the gore. Plus it's sheer! I love sheer!

But that's where the love ends. Everything I hoped for is a lie. The cake is a lie.

The band on this bra is NOT stretchy. It stretched to 26.5 inches at best, and that pulled the already wide, soft wires a few inches wider.

This bra is NOT for projected, narrow-rooted, center-heavy, short rooted, even/fob, firm-ish boobs. The fit ... was bad (though it was worse in the peacock colorway). The result was sad, flattened, east-westy in my armpits boobs. (For references I typically wear a 30F/FF in unlined freya and EM)

    1) Band is way way way too small. I have an elastic extender (adds several inches, not just the 1 1/2 from a regular extender) that I tried it on with in order to review. Everyone else says that Claudette Dessous's have super stretchy bands, so maybe my two were flukes.
    2) I need narrow wires. These wires were several inches too wide (halfway under my arms), even when worn with an elastic extender to minimize the stretch.
    3) No immediate projection to speak of = wrinkling/empty space at the bottom of the cup
    4) Center quadding out the top of the bra + weird empty space right next to the gore because its so freaking shallow my boobs can't even attempt to get in there.
    5) straps in my armpits
    6) wide, shallow shape = minimized, in my armpit boobs with excessive empty space on all sides and yet quadding.

IF you are shallow, this bra might work for you. If you have super soft boobs that conform to any shape, this bra might work for you. If you like wide, soft wires, this bra might work for you. If you want a minimized look, this bra might work for you. If your boobs are anything like mine, run away, run away fast.

I love this bra. I've been wanting one for so long.
I wonder, maybe measurements can be added for top, center, and bottom of cups sometime in the future? I think it would make measurements a lot more consistent.
For this, I've been wanting a Dessous ever since I joined Bratabase. Maybe just a little before.
I had always read how they run about a cup small, and while I can personally somewhat agree, I mostly disagree.

At least as far as mine went, it had 9" depth in the top of the cups. Generally, I've noticed that wire length matches the deepest area of the cups on many bras.
As the ... cups go downward, there is -1" per..I don't know, I forgot to measure that. But basically the center of the cup was about 8", give or take, and bottom was 7", give or take.
This is exactly the type of thing I wanted to illustrate with my blog, but I just haven't been able to find the time to take measurement pictutes and write out such lengthy reviews, so hopefully this will suffice.

I really, really wanted to keep this regardless of the little bit of upper wrinkling. I've lost A LOT of upper tissue, so the 30E just didn't work for me. I have a feeling that a 30DD would have enough upper space, but be somewhat too shallow on bottom, so there's that problem, but I'd still love to try one in that size.. and you know, I'd probably still keep it too because I love this model lol.
I couldn't keep the 30E because I'm losing weight and I might as well not put more wear into something that I'm going to need to sell after I lose about 5-10 more pounds.https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I do think, if you have more malleable tissue, and are more round as opposed to conical or tuberous, you may want to consider sizing up..just because of the small amount of space on bottom. I feel like for someone rounder, the tops may cut in with your tissue being pushed upwards.
However for me, my tissue is malleable but tuberous and I just can't fill the tops.

As far as the rest of the bra goes, the straps are fully adjustable, the gore is good for closer set tissue, wires were narrow, and overall it's just such a lovely bra.
I'd recommend the Dessous to someone just mildly fuller on top. If you're more even, tubey or conical, consider going with your usual size. Someone FoT or rounder, possibly consider sizing up.

Bought several of these on final sale in different sizes and colors, to see whether any of them would work for me. Trying them all on has confirmed that this type of bra does not suit my soft, slightly pendulous breasts at all. I can see why they would be popular with women who have firmer breasts however because this bra is very sexy and fun. I just wanted to comment that my measurements are for the mauve/black colorway, which seems to have a MUCH stretchier band that the other 32" Dessous I reviewed (the "True Blue" colorway, which I believe is a newer color).

I ordered this on final sale along with several other colors and sizes of the same bra. I got this 32G in the "True Blue" colorway (bright blue with hot pink trim). I doesn't fit me or suit my shape at all but I did want to just comment that the band on this bra is MUCH more snug than on the other two 32" bras I got (32FF Dessous in mauve/black and 32FF Dessous Sucre in black/hot pink). Those bras are very loose on the tightest strap. This bra is comfortably snug on the second row of hooks.

I ordered several of the Dessous bras on final sale, not sure what size I'd need. But they were cheap, so I ordered a "variety pack"...ha! Didn't realize that the Sucre was a different cut that the full cup Dessous until I tried them all on. As other reviews have mentioned, it has ridiculously tall cups. It is more of a plunge but WOW, there is a lot of excess fabric by the straps. Because the fabric is sheer, you can see exactly what is happening inside the cup. In the case of my soft boobs which tend to just settle into the bottom of a bra, it ... isn't a pretty picture. With this style, I get major quadding near the gore but the tops of the cups by the strap are completely empty. As a result, the cups are super wrinkly (the contents are too). I intended to use this as a boudoir bra but I'm not sure it's even going to work for that.

Also, the band was much stretchier than I anticipated. I wear either a 30 or 32, depending on brand. I mostly wear 30 bands in super-stretchy Freya and everything else I wear 32s. I could have ordered this in a 30 for sure. On the tightest hooks, I can pull this band several inches away from my back. I have a mauve/black full-cup Dessous in the same size and it is about an inch shorter when stretched. Just an fyi...

Navy blue&pink colour combo - 2015 spring/summer collection. Best for FOB shapes, I'd say.
I know there are many Claudette fans out there and I am just becoming one myself, however I would say that the quality of materials is not on a par with the ones used by Freya/Fantasie. I mean their mesh ones.
Update: I think the cup depth is adequate, but the wires too wide for me. Cups do not allow enough centre fullness for my shape, so its a shape mismatch I think. Not enough depth at the gore while wires too wide, so it's kinda too big and too small at the same time.

This bra's band def runs loose and stretches quickly, so size down. This bra is a really nice overall fit, but due to my loose breast tissue I get a bulge mid-cup where the fabric switches from two layers to one. I love the low under arm wires, they are great for short ladies!

I normally wear a 32FF/G but I found this bra in store at an extremely low price so I picked my sister size of 34FF. The cups are a good fit- the gore tacks, the wire encases my breast tissue, and it feels very supportive for such thin material. Since I'm close set, FOT, with soft tissue I do get a very small amount of quading on the inner cups. It's not noticeable through my clothes so it's not a big deal for me.
This is the first unlined 3 part bra that gives me a round shape- I usually get a softly pointed shape.
The only negative for me is how stretchy the band is. I compared it to other 34 bands that I own and it's still the biggest in my possession. It's brand new and I'm on the last hook and I'm still able to pull it a significant distance away from my body.
This is my first experience with any Claudette bra and I would purchase another in my true size.

WRINKLING EVERYWHERE. Totally the wrong shape in so many ways. Band is easy to hook on the tightest hook. Mesh would irritate someone with sensitive skin. The wires are narrow for me and I do not fill out the cup. The top edge is nicely elastic and doesn't cut in and the gore tacks just fine. I feel like gores always tack on me so that's probably not useful information.

Alas. I love the colors the Dessous line comes in but destiny is just not with me.

Soft matte fabric that looks super cute but does not fit! I love the cup design. I really like the appearance of the fabric, which seems to be imitation crepe. And the straps are super soft and stretchy. Don't expect any support from them! Of course, it is a strapless bra so the straps detach. Maybe I'll move them over to another bra?

The band and gore feel fine. The cup shape is wrong for me. The wires are narrow for me and the cup is cutting in at the top. Doesn't hurt at all and I'm sure I could wear it out and about but it doesn't look good.

The colorblock styles are limited edition so I took a risk and lost : (. Ah well.

The mesh is softer than Claudette Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000) and the silky fabric feels so nice! The color is rich medium red and mildly shiny.

The wires are really narrow and dig in to my side tissue. It causes bulging on the sides and is uncomfortable. The top edge does not cut in, even though it probably looks that way. If I pull away the top edge (very easy to do as it is simply resting on my skin and not taut) the shape of my breast does not change. But it does tend to wrinkle and shift around as I move.

I think the bottom projection is decent. Enough for me. What do you think?

I love the shape it gives me, which is very close the the natural, braless shape. I will likely try to bend out the wires to improve the fit, but I do not think it will fully solve the problem.

Claudette does sell direct from their webpage, but only to the US, Canada, UK and they do not do returns or exchanges. So these bras were a risk, but a highly discounted one.

The colorblock styles are limited edition and I love colorblocking so I had to try it! The size range is smaller than the main Claudette bras, so I chose a 32 instead of 30.

The foam cups are soft and comfortable and the straps are amazingly soft. Super soft strap material, unlike most of their other lines.

The shape doesn't have enough bottom projection for me, especially on my larger breast. When I removed ... the bra, I saw that the underwire had slipped about a cm below my IMF and that is disappointing but expected. The underwires are wider than most of the other Claudettes but just a bit narrow for me. The wires press into my tissue at the sides and causes some bulging. The top also cut in for minor quadboob, probably because the entire bra had slipped down. The gore is good.
