Seriously needed an extender as it was the second tightest when I bought all 4, it hurt. Wing powermesh is extremely firm with very little give. Good for long term wearout, but it means it's too tight for now.
I added pictures of both without and with an extender, including the ugly painful marks it left after digging in for only one minute of wear. It didn't fit like a "second skin," it wanted to BE my skin!!
But speaking of skin, you can see it's a very good "nude" color for me. If it's light pink color and the more yellow Sunkissed bra colors were mixed, it would be ...even more ideal. My bra for cream and white blouses right now.
Some in-cup wrinkling, which I thought was from it being too tight, especially considering there's also major in-cup quadding when I didn't have an extender. In the front view, it looks like it's almost trying to smash down the lower half of my breasts. After adding an extender the quadding was reduced but the wrinkles got larger. Maybe still straining but vertically instead of horizontally? I had to tighten the straps a small bit more with the extender, as they sat further out on my angled shoulders. The strap elastics are nice and stretchy, which always makes it difficult for me to tell if I have then too tight. It could also be slightly more inner full in cup shape than I am, as the wrinkles are not there on the sides of the cups.
Otherwise, the underwire shape is a perfect match for me, the gore doesn't dig (with an extender), and it's very pretty overall.
There's a bit of a weird gathering at the center gore when the bra is relaxes, but ot stretches flat ao I don't think it effects fit. Read more 193 more words
I love the fit on this bra!! it's not lined and lets my breasts sit comfortably without trying to fit into a molded cup. The blue is lovely and the bright pink bow is so girly. I wish I could find more bras by Claudette, this was a clearance bra from an online retailer and I haven't been able to find any more.
I am infatuated with the variety of colour combinations with the Claudette Dessous and the look of a sporty bra without actually being a sports bra so was happy to find this turquoise bra through Bratabase and to give it a whirl and to see if I would buy another. I also wanted to see if the fabric would be too scratchy. In person, the colour is great and the feel on my skin was okay for the day. I do not think that I would like a marathon of a day in this bra.
I did learn something from this bra. I ...learned to look at the wire length in combination with the gore and wing height to get an understanding of how the cup width will fit on me. The cup width appears like it should fit me, being under 12 cm, but the distance sits low on the cup resulting in a cup that is much too wide and sits on my side ribs. The wires are more pliable so it was not painful, but the cup does not flatter my breast nor sit proportionately on my torso. Another lesson learned in shopping for bras! It is a bra that will lend itself well to alterations so am not overly concerned. I will not buy a new one regardless of the pretty colours though, as the work involved plus full price is not worth it. Read more 141 more words
I can't even get this bra around my waist since the stretched band measures only 27 inches! The cup also runs very wide even though my root is already on the wider side, so this bra is probably best for someone with a very wide root. This bra is also not for someone with a greater inner fullness since it gives me a quad boob effect.
I can barely get this bra around since the stretched band length is exactly the girth of my ribcage! The cup also runs very wide even though my root is already on the wider side, so this bra is probably best for someone with a very wide root. I wanted one of these bras so bad! Even knowing that the size chart is very very inconvenient and depends on the colorway. But I wanted it like a piece of beauty just to have it. And I have it and I'm fallen in love with this model. Now I want more and more! The bra is made of very thin mesh. I mean VERY THIN mesh. It hides absolutely nothing in my color. I think that cup is rather true to size, and more FOB friendly as the upper edge is sewn with elastic, And I do always have problems with all kind of elastics on the upper edge ( they just cut into my breasts). The band is very stretchy. Even on the tightest hooks I don't feel enough support. the straps are fully ajustable. I'm not sure if I have a perfect fit in this bra: loose band and not perfect cups. But it's so nice!
(I have narrow, close set, center full breasts with soft tissue, and I'm currently breastfeeding.)
This is an unusual bra. The cups have slight stretch at the bottom (double layer fishnet/smooth mesh), and quite a bit of stretch at the top (single layer fishnet mesh). The shaping is very gentle, without much centering or uplift, and more natural than round. I wouldn't call it pointy per se, but it is far from the globular shape that's currently popular. This bra does less than most to hide headlights or jello jiggle. The band feels looser than the measurements would suggest, but I don't think it's too loose. (I'm probably a ...30 band size but sometimes size up to 32 for comfort.) The mesh is very minimalist, great for hot summers or any time you don't want to soak in boob sweat. Overall this bra is kind of like a bralette, except underwire.
I like the concept of this bra a lot, but the fit is a little off on me. The wires are not terribly wide, but the cups feel wide. I tend to get wrinkling at the sides of the cups, and the wires don't want to sit in my IMF. When my boobs are fuller, I still don't fill the sides of the cups, I get quadding in the middle instead. I also noticed when taking pictures that the outer edge of the wire looks like it's poking me.
However, I find this bra comfortable. The fit issues don't bother me from a sensory perspective when I'm wearing it. Not sure how to explain that one since usually I'm kind of a fit diva! Read more 165 more words
Very surprising bra! Deemed the most sexy bra by DH. Extremely comfortable. Doesn't show under clothes. Shocked that it doesn't, because initially, it seemed to not fit. This bra has elastic across the top of the cup so the top was both loose and quad boob at the same time. A little pulling on the elastic has relaxed it, resolving both issues. Mind you, it didn't show under clothes even before the elastic relaxed. Trim and straps are nude. Color "Twilight" is a beautiful, extremely sheer mauve.
The band is a bit on the smaller side, measuring just 27" so if you're a true 28 this probably won't fit nicely. The cups for me were a bit wide and shallow, while quadding at the top. I think it's a cute bra with the bright colors but sadly it's a no for me.
Oh my, the band of this bra is so tight! With a lot of effort I could close it, but it was very very uncomfortable. I wonder if I really got a 28 band. I also got some orange in a glass effect with this bra, with some wrinkling on the outer sides of the cups, a little on the bottom, but quadding on top. The top shape of the bra looked weird, kind of concave, so lower in the center of the cups. Not sure what caused that. I thought this bra would be perfect for travel, as it is super light and would dry very quickly. The straps are comfortable. The mesh fabric can be a little scratchy.
28F (my usual size) wasn't available in this color way on the website I was shopping from so I got a 30E instead. The band was too big for my 27-inch ribcage. It is also too closed on top for my tall roots and full-on-top breasts. It accommodates centre fullness though, and I like how its sheerness makes me feel sexy!
This bra is SCRATCHY. The shape it gives is pretty flat, and on me, the cups were too large. The design aesthetic is nice, but honestly, the material is where my opinion starts and ends for this bra. Short and sweet.
Never in my life have I tried on a bra of such low quality! I only tried it on for half an hour or so, and I noticed afterwards that a couple of seams went undone - see pictures. The seam for the wire and both (?) the straps. Then as I was measuring the stretched band, the label tore off. I didn't even pull that much! I just stretched the band to 36inch, which is basically the size of the band.
The style of the bra is minimalistic and the colours are very pretty in real life. It is too small for me, and I think it would be best suited for someone who is more self-supporting and doesn't need a lot of heavy duty lifting.
Very pretty bra, but the cups seem to run a bit small. In Freya and Curvy Kate, I'm a 28D, but I think a 28E would be a better fit for me in this bra - the 28DD gives me a bit of spillage over the top. It's not enough to make the bra uncomfortable or anything - actually it's quite supportive and comfy - just a very minor cosmetic thing. The band is just perfect for me (my ribcage is closer to a 26 than 28), though, and the colour matches my skin tone quite nicely.
This bra runs a cup size smaller than the label. It's still a touch too shallow for me so I get a little orange in the glass effect and some bubbling. I also need a slightly more open cup. wish it worked for me; someone with short roots probably wouldn't have this same issue. Love the cotton, it's very soft. And it's sort of a unique bra in the full bust world.
Love the color combo and I'm dissappinted it's too big. My experience would suggest that the cup runs a size too big. This would have been a good nude for me too https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> This color combo is one of the narrower more projected ones. I know some of the color combos can run wide and shallow or small in the cup. This is for chinchilla / lipstick
My most comfortable bra and it doesn't show seams or lines when worn under clothing. I've worn it pretty regularly for over a year (with washing in the washer but hanged to dry) and the underwire has not yet poked out. This in itself makes it like a superbra.
This bra is interesting. It's wide and shallow, which I feel is unusual in D+ cup sizes. The cups are tall, too. I'm narrow, projected, and short-rooted, so it was a big shape mismatch for me. I couldn't handle wearing it because I have too much immediate projection for it, so my boobs pushed the underwires away from my chest at the bottom and made the gore stab me. I think this bra would best fit a shallow, tall-rooted 28E/F.
Sad it didn't work for you! I want to try a 30F since my failure with 30E, but i think I would have the same problems.
