    32H

    Didn't fit

I got this bra from a swap group for VERY cheap; I am still working out my size/shape in different brands and wanted to experiment with the various Cleos. Lucky me, it fits pretty well! Normally I wear a 34GG in Panache styles, so I fully expected this band to be too tight at 32H, but other reviews hinted the band on this one is pretty stretchy. I can't say for sure how a brand new one would fit since I believe I'm actually the 3rd owner of this bra, but it looks pretty close to new, and it does indeed fit like a 34 to me (edit: ... I just completed the measurements, and I can actually stretch the band to 35/36 without much trouble!). The cups fit perfectly, there is no gaping/wrinkling anywhere and the (non-stretch) lace at the top of the cup is flat.

I actually got 2 Cleo Lucy bras from the same owner, and both had a slight modification. The previous owner had sewn the gore together to adjust the angle of the cups (as seen here: http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2012/01/cleo-lucy-review.html) and I just used a seam ripper to undo the alteration on this bra to see if there was a big difference. I don't really notice much difference in the fit, but I've been wearing this purple one for 8 hours now and it feels/looks fine, so I will probably undo the alteration on the other Lucy as well.

Pros: Cute color (purple!), great rounded/lifted shape (similar to my other Panache bras), seems to fit my larger and smaller breast equally well

Cons: Embroidered flowers on the cup show through thin shirts (because of the texture, not color), straps are a bit wide (they're right on the outside of my Tail of Spence, but this is a common problem for me), the bottom edge under the gore/cups might be made of razors (I'm hoping this will break in, as the blog post linked above hints)

Overall I think I can overlook the issues, at least for a few more wears to see how problematic they actually are. As I said, I've been wearing it 8 hours today and other than the bottom of the cups/gore digging a little bit it's pretty comfortable.

Update: I have now worn this bra for an entire day several times, and I don't think I can overlook the band issue. The length appears to be fine, but the bit right under the gore is very sharp and digs in painfully. Twice now it's left a mark that did not go away overnight, so I think, despite how perfectly the cups fit, I might have to retire this bra and its twin (32H - Cleo ยป Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851) ).

Shape is pointier and lift is minimal. The top of the cup cuts in and does not push breasts inward. Straps are short.

Didn't like the feel of this style, maybe it's the brand. Felt stiff and cheap.

    Didn't fit

Well, the cups are too big on me, but that's partly because it took me a long time to notice wrinkling in the bottom of cups. (A lot of bras do that on me; not enough immediate projection, then quad-boobing.) But also, my boobs have changed size a little (hormones) and now the cups are much too big. 32FFs in similar styles fit okay, as well as the Marcie/Lucy look ever really gets on me.

    28H

    Didn't fit

I tried this bra in my normal Cleo size of 28GG and this 28H to see if a larger cup might work
better for my center fullness. This cup was too big on me and this larger size did not improve the
tacking issue I have with my touching center full breasts.

    Fits

    Black color way.

I had recently purchased a Lucy in 34F. It seemed to fit - I had no spillage along the top or the sides - but the underside of the cup felt strained and there was just the hint of in-cup quad. I felt I could do better so I ordered a 34FF to test.

Can we say fit PERFECTION? I now fill the cups completely and comfortably. The lower part of the cup no longer feels strained and the in-cup quadding is gone.

  7. I had 2 of these bras in 28H. One in white and one in the peach/neon orange color way. The white bra has slightly smaller/tighter cups. There is very slight quad-boobing at the horizontal seam in both bras, but I believe this is due to my soft tissue rather than bra construction. Overall very happy with these bras.

Edit: Recently underwent breast augmentation after weight loss. The orange/peach color way is now a perfect fit with its slightly larger cups. No more wrinkling at the seam. The white, however, would be too small.

  8. Doesn't make me look pointy or give strange shape as other unlined have done. Love the look of this bra. The fabric, design, construction- everything! After wearing this all day I did find myself having to fix my tissue in the cups. Gore started to dig into center/close set tissue. Also, the cups aren't too small, yet the line of stitching where the lace is sewn to the top part of the cup slightly digs in & gives an (unnoticeable with a shirt on) slight quad effect. Maybe a 32D would help with this? Not sure if my tall roots are "pulling" the fabric too tight?
Edit to add: I think the cups aren't close enough for me, but still a great bra that I've been wearing in regular rotation this summer !

    34GG

    Didn't fit

The Cleo Lucy in 34GG is one of my best fitting bras. I do have a few minor issues, and one major one. After hours of wearing, the underwire pokes and rubs uncomfortably under my arms. I wind up with sores, it's not fun. The cups are a little wide in front, but it does not bother me when wearing. I could probably go down one cup size, while there is not wrinkling I do have a bit of extra fabric on top. I do really like the cup width and the base of the cups fit very nicely around my breasts. The black lace is nice looking and sexy. This bra has been used but is in excellent shape.
