    Didn't fit

I got this Lucy very cheap on eBay and wasn't expecting much. Band is too loose and doesn't handle the weight of my boobs well, but still cuts in on my sides. Cups do not have enough immediate projection for me. The sides are too short and dig in even though a lot of my tissue escapes. This is one of my go-tos for lounging and not moving much.

    Fits

This is my second Cleo Lucy purchase, and the 32F in black fits pretty much identically to the red colorway I bought last year.

I'm usually a 30FF or 32F, and I prefer the 32 band in this style, as it is on the tighter side. I get perhaps a *slight* amount of quadding on my larger side when I fully swoop and scoop, but this is preferable to the extra space/wrinkling I get if I size up to the 32FF.

The shape I get in this is projected, lifted, and narrow. Not as rounded as the Cleo Marcie, but still more rounded than pointy.

    Didn't fit

Before I get into this reveiw, my shape is: narrow, projected, very full-on-bottom,very center-heavy, widely spaced, slightly splayed, low-set, short rooted. I also have a very squishy ribcage and a very pronounced tail of spence.

I was ALMOST convinced that this bra fit. Like, super-duper close. The stretchy band was actually pretty comfortable to wear, and I was surprised to note that this bra was indeed compatible with my difficult shape (as I've read from many sources). However, after a day's wear it became apparent that this bra was not properly fitted; Because the band is just too darn loose, it cut into my tail of spence very painfully, and the straps left angry red welts from having to tighten them down to get the support I needed.

I will probably re-purchase in a 30F, because it was breezy on hot summer days and disappeared nicely under my work t-shirts.

    Fits

This is the first bra I have ever tried on that is a perfect fit. The cups are narrow enough, there is enough projection and I am completely supported. There is very mild wrinkling on my smaller breast near the top but I am nitpicking. Unfortunately, I don't like the way my breasts look in it. I would prefer a fit that rounds them out a bit as my natural shape is more than a bit conical and it is obvious in this bra. If I just can't find anything else, I will purchase this again but in a 34DD. The band is far too tight and at a mere 25", an extender is not good enough for my 31" ribcage.

I really like this bra and the shape it gives - it is very good at pushing my breast tissue in from the sides and projecting it out. My breasts tend to splay out to the sides a little, but this bra pushes them together and pushes them out while remaining comfortable. The wire extends up the breastbone in the center a little bit higher than I'm used to but after a few wearings I got used to it, it wasn't uncomfortable, and the center gore tacks. My roots are not narrow, I think they're on the wider side of regular, and the Lucy underwires fit my breast ... roots well. I wouldn't want the wires to be too much narrower than they are, otherwise they'd start cutting into my breast tissue on the sides. I got the pale peach and neon orange variety on sale on ebay (the picture makes it look white but mine was a pale peach color) and it's very cute. I really want more Lucys in different colors. The lace pattern doesn't show too much underneath a t-shirt; it is faintly noticeable, but I am comfortable wearing it under t-shirts.

OK fit, band is comfortable, but I think I would size down if I was to buy this bra again. Scratchy at first, but after a couple washes that cleared up. Gaping at the top when slouching, but not a bad fit, all in all.

  8. This is a beautiful bra!! The color is something special, the embroidery on the top of the cups is neon orange..... Soooo cool and happy color, i am sure my boobs feel like they are in a party.. Jajajaja......the rest of the bra is not white, it's more like a mix between pale pink and blush color, it's really pretty, I could say it's the happiest bra I own. The wires run higher than the "lily" and the "Marcie" the gore is lower than the other two ( "lily" and "Marcie") the lift is good, very natural and it gives the classic round shape Cleo bras give, ... the band feels exactly the same as my "lily" very true to size, it feels a little stretchier than the "lily" though. The only problem I am having with this bra is that there's a little cuadboob inside the cup, (in the horizontal seem) I have the same problem with the "lily" but it shows a little more with this one, I don't really know what's the problem.. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Iam thinking that maybe it's the kind of tissue that my breasts are made of (I am almost 42 years old, and have breastfed 3 children) I am so in love with this bra I will use it anyway since it doesn't show that much.

    Didn't fit

I have wanted to try Lucy for a while now because it looked so cute, plus I always considered myself to be full on bottom. This bra did not fit as fabulously as I had hoped. The gore is MUCH too wide, the wires are too wide, and the cups are too shallow -- all which gave me the dreaded "elf-shoe" shape from the side. I was oozing out of the center and top of the bra, and the wires were stabbing me in the underarm by the end of my first day of wear. Since this bra is one of the benchmarks for FoB shapes, I have ... finally convinced myself that I am of even fullness, not full on bottom as I had previously thought. I am guessing that my shape has changed a little over the past couple of years due to migration from finally wearing properly fitting bras.

I have read that many people take in the gore on this bra to achieve a better fit when it doesn't quite suit your shape. I grabbed the sewing kit and went to work. After trying the bra again, I was much happier! It still isn't a textbook perfect fit, but it fits good enough now that I don't have any desire to get rid of it. The shape from the side is now more of a naturally rounded shape instead of the elf-shoe I had before the alteration, and the altered narrow gore works much better for my close-set breasts. The alteration also moved the wires away from my underarms so it's no longer uncomfortable. Also, it's the first bra I've ever had that didn't have a band under the wires, and I actually enjoy the comfort of no band there. The bra is very cute and I adore the bright purple, so it will get worn quite a bit during the summer. I love how the straps are moderately thin, so I won't mind too much if they peek out from under a tank top.

This bra is too shallow for my average projection, but just barely .The wires are also not wide enough for me. The band was also pretty big, which I think is unusual. This is for the black colorway.

    • If both projection and wire width are too small, just try sizing up in the cup. Try a 30F if you found the 32 band too loose.
