This is a very nice bra with a good balance between T-shirt bra and not-too-boring https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> However, it's true that the lace shows a bit under tight tops. Other than that, I hope the band holds out, because it's already starting to feel a bit too loose. I found the bra in nude to be more comfortable than in black, but I needed a black straps bra, so I chose it (I'll try and hunt a nude one off ebay or bratabase eventually https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />). Very good standard bra.
A few months back, I bought this bra in 28G. However, upon wearing it, I find the top part of the bra cuts in my breasts, so I sold it to my friend who is the same size as me but with FoB breasts (I'm FoT). It suits her better with minor flapping on top. I was pretty heartbroken to let the bra go because I'm in love with it.
Cue a few months later, I'm still thinking about it, so I want to give it another try, but this time in 30FF. I thought, maybe the 28G I bought was really tight on me so it distorted the ...bra shape and cuts into my breasts. That could be a possibility.
Wearing this bra again in 30FF, I find that it fits me perfectly! The band stretches just a shy away from 30". The top doesn't cut in, the wires are low on me, the fabric is so soft, wire width nice and narrow. So yeay! This bra works on my slightly even/FoT breasts! The shape is the usual Cleo shape, lifted and round.
In conclusion, I really do think the 28G I bought the first time was too tight on me, hence distorting the shape and fit of the bra. Read more 100 more words
I just love the way this bra looks! I think it is so pretty. I know others don't feel he same way about it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I got this from ebay and it was shipped damage so I was going to return it, but it does not really fit though anyways. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
It is a tight band though for 38 so being a 36 that worked out in my favor. Even though my perimeter is 18.5 I can not fill this bra (16.75 my measurement). Its not horrendous but the cup is defiantly too large to wear the lacy flower embroidery of the top cup. It also seem to push breast outwards and not completely out front on me. If it wasn't damaged I probably would not have sent it back.
Very stretchy band. Similar in fit to Cleo Lucy, but a bit more open in the top. I might reorder this in 30H, the fabric is incredibly soft and silky, much better than the scratchy mesh used in Lucy.
Wow. I never thought I would be able to wear a soft cup bra. Of course, in the past I was always trying the wrong size, so they were always way too loose, way too narrow, and way too deep for me.
This bra is not only beautiful and unique in color, it actually fits.
Technically, this shape is too full-on-bottom for me. (Would be good for FOB, maybe even-fullness as well) The top lace slides down the top of my breasts and creates a slight ridge. If I pull it up all the way, it cuts in a slight bit and then slides back down again. I ...could very easily hand tack it down and no one would be able to tell, and everything else fits absolutely perfectly. Thank you so much nufin for altering the band, it seems like it was made just for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> (You did a really good job too, it looks so professional!) It's really firm and comfortably tight and doesn't slide around during the day at all.
Since this is my first unlined bra, maybe it isn't right, maybe I'm just crazy. But it's comfortable and doesn't cause my pain in any way! (Except the very first breaking-in wearing, of course.) There MIGHT be slight pulling lines in the bottom half of the cups, so maybe the cups are too small? Whatever the tightness, the cups surprisingly push my breasts up and they look superbly round. (I had feared a soft cup would make me look pointy.) The cups have two layers of mesh, so they're very supporting and there's only slight show-through while nipping. The seams and embroidery would should through t-shirts, so I recommend this for medium-weight fabrics and/or fabrics with texture.
The color is absolutely gorgeous; a beautiful seafoam green. There are so many appliqués that make the bra so cute and elegant. It reminds me of a sun-dress and a grassy field of flowers! ^.^
Currently, my breasts are a bit swelled due to PMS and bloating, so the cups fit a bit tighter than they did two days ago, but it's hardly noticeable. Read more 253 more words
This is the first bra that I found that fit me really well. I've now had it for a month and I'm needing to loosen the straps because the top is cutting in (whereas before I needed to tighten them). I'm not sure whether it's because I've been gaining fat or because of shape changes resulting from better fitting bras. Either way, I love that it's a supportive, slightly whimsical bra.
It isn't the most comfortable bra I have - the straps are too wideset for me and the wings are slightly too high in a way that cuts into my armpits when I'm typing or writing. I've had ...this problem in a lot of other bras, so I think it's a combination of having high roots and narrow shoulders for me. The band feels rather tight and I'm more comfortable with an extender, even though my snug measurement is ~30.2in and the bra stretches to ~32.
I believe I have an average root width with projection, and the Lucy is just perfect for this combination. It gets touted a lot as a "full on bottom" bra, but I think you need to have a shape that is closer to even fullness because the upper lace is actually rather loose. I have the pink/white colourway. This is the pink colour which is said to run small in the cups (I heard this after purchasing 30E)!! I normally wear 28F so I got pink Marcie in 30E, because I read its band runs small. 30E was too small in the cups, band was okay. That´s why I got 30F.
The cups are the right size now. The shape is not ideal for me ( it makes my boobs round but they sit very "low") but technically it fits. The cups are okay but barely so, if I pull my shoulders back the top of cups cuts in slightly. The lace isn´t stretchy at all, if it ...was, it would be better. There is sometimes very slight wrinkling in the nipple area, so bigger cups wouln´t do. (I think my boobs are shallow but I have tall root). However, the wrinkling is not always there.
The band is good and tight enough, I wear it in the loosest hooks. Straps adjust all the way.
The only problem I have with this bra is wires!! They poke me in into sternum and under armpits https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> This is not that bad, I´m able to wear the bra and I hope this problem will go away after I wear it. Maybe I could also bend the wires. We´ll see!
EDIT. I bended wires a little and the bra is okay now. It is comfortable enough while wearing it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I really love this bra! I have worn it almost daily for a few months now, and the back hasn't stretched out too noticeably. My breasts fill the cups nicely and the lace at the top doesn't cut in at all. My breasts are rounded and projected forward.
The biggest problem with this bra is that the underwires cut in painfully under my arms. I can't tell if it is because they are too high or too low, as I am a bigger girl so I have a lot of flesh to cut into. I'm not sure how to make it better. I ended up sewing some padding onto one side because it was so pokey.
I ordered this bra along with Zia (30DD), one more bra: Cleo Bella balconnet in the same size, because the price was super ok and I wanted to experiment a little, knowing that Bella is a little more open on top.
As I said in the previous reviews http://bra.pe/SDQq/ and http://bra.pe/SDQw/, , I have even to slightly FOB breasts...or this is what I believed. Buying this two bras with that little difference (openness of the top part of cup) made me confused about my boobs shape..and that's because Bella fits me better than Zia in the upper cup.
As you can see in the pics, ...the fit is really great!! I fill completely the entire cup, its bottom, its top. The outer edge of the top isn't resting on my flesh like the Zia's and the lace forms no slight wrinkles.
The appearance under clothes is soooo beautiful!! My chest never looked that great in an unpadded bra, seriously. Even my mother couldn't believe that I bought soft bra (without padding). Shape is very round and lifted and it looks like the bra is enhacing the size.
Underwires:I have this problem with Zia too (Bella has identical wires), and I concluded that I will have it with the majority of Cleo bra: judging from the light red marks they leave around my chest, I can say they are wider by 1/2 cm than it should, on my bigger boob. I find it to be minor thing as I feel it doesn't change the support or anything. I'd wish the wires had aprox the same width, only the ends would go straight up and not diagonally (the last aprox 1 cm of them in the armpit area). This would be perfect, so that I just ordered Freya Arabella to make a comparison between Cleo bras and Freya's.
Also, the materials are excellent, very sturdy and resistant. Read more 207 more words
A great bra for wide root shallow boobs if you don't mind the lace at the top not lying 100 per cent flat. In this size, my sister size, the band did not stay put in the widest hooks, although I had to wear an extender with the 30DD and the band was still very tight extended by one hook (I usually extend all unpadded 30DD Cleos one hook for the first months I wear them).
NOTE: I previously reviewed this exact same bra but in 34G. So the below review will mostly be the same, with minor changes to match this size.
This bra has turned out to be absolutely great for my narrow-rooted, projected, pendulous and evenly-shaped breasts. It is comfy and the shape and support it provides is just what I wanted. Like the Cleo Meg, it tends to bring everything front-and-center, with good uplift. Unlike the Cleo Meg, however, the cups are more true-to-size here -- no excess space at the apex/upper areas. It's possible that some people would need one cup size up in the Lily compared to their Meg ...size.
A few things to note:
-I am very extremely narrow-rooted, so even this bra is technically not narrow enough for me. The underwires (cup width) are still about a whole inch wider than I need. But I don't notice this in everyday wear; they don't poke me and are generally comfortable.
-Like most unpadded Cleo bras, the band runs pretty tight. My break-the-tape underbust measurement is 33" and snug is about 35", so this same bra in a 34 band was too tight for me. 36 is just about right. I can easily wear it on the second set of hooks, but I haven't needed to.
-I may technically need even more immediate projection than this bra provides, since it does slide down in the front every once in awhile -- but only by about half an inch to an inch at most. All in all, its immediate projection is good.
-As mentioned in my review of the 34G, the straps of this 36FF are slightly wider and the wings slightly taller than in 34G.
-If you are significantly full-on-top instead of more even, this bra's ribbon-across-the-cup design may cut in for you. It's great on my smaller breast, but it ever-so-slightly cuts in across the larger (fuller) one. Read more 204 more words
The band feels snug on the loosest hooks but isn't digging in and it isn't riding up. I don't have to tighten the straps much at all. In my previous bras I've always had to tighten them to right before the padded part of the strap. The wires feel great, no cutting in and they're narrow enough. Also there isn't any space in the bottom of the of the cups and I can fit the wires into my infra mammary fold. The gore is comfy and flat, no pressure or cutting in. The width of the gore is nice too. The strap width feels nice too, I can put my arms up without getting cutting in. The top of the cups is very open. I don't wanna take this bra off!
Wow! I'd ruled Cleo out for my shallow wide rooted boobs, after trying several on in Bravissimo over the last year. I've tried Meg bird print which is gorgeous and Lily (stunning!) but they were just sooo wrong for my shape that I almost wept. I wrote Cleo off as pretty, but just seriously incompatible with my shape. However, I recently realised that my previously perfect fitting 30DD Deco half cup and Ashlee half cup were now giving me undeniable quad boob and the bands have stretched out quite significantly, so much so that the Deco half cup is unbearable on certain days due to constantly ...having to lift my straps back up, grrr! I realised I'd gone from having a handful of well fitting smooth tshirt bras that I wear to work to having just one decent(ish!) bra, and therefore needed to get some more straightforward simple moulded bras. I found this badboy on Amazon for £7.50 in a 30E and thought it was worth a go. I also bought a Neve (not good...the only bra I've ever actually tried that was TOO SHALLOW for me!) but that went straight back. So....what a shocker, Maddie fits BEAUTIFULLY! I was worried it may be too deep a cup for me and possibly too narrow wires (the 30DD Cleos I've tried, whilst being v.different styles to Maddie, have always had too narrow wires). But it's spot on! In a 30E the wires are perfectly wide, there's no gaping at all at the top but no quad boob either. My days of too long straps are over - the Maddie straps are sooo short! I wore it today with the straps the loosest they could go, and it was perfect, they didn't budge! The band is fairly snug, and I'm really hoping it stays that way and doesn't stretch out too quickly. It's a fairly nice looking bra, I wish it was a different colour, but hey ho, a perfectly fitting functional bra for £7.50, I can't really complain! (but if this style came in purple...ooh or a dark green, woah, it'd be STUNNING!). Top notch, v.impressed. Very comfortable, literally the stuff bra dreams are made of! Read more 256 more words
I absolutely love the pattern of this bra; it's so fun and youthful. The fit was fantastic with a nice lifted, rounded shape. I had a little wrinkling in the lace part on my smaller boob, but not enough to be an issue. It fits very similarly to the Cleo Marcie. In fact, I laid this 28FF bra against my 30F marcie and the cup wires and gore were identical. Of course, the band was longer at the hooks on the 30 marcie. This bra's band was nice and tight and secure and comfortable. I had no poking or discomfort with any of the wires or straps. So glad I got it for such a good price from another bratabase user.
The gore on this bra is too wide for me but since the wire channels are longer than the wires I can push the wires out into the armpits and out of the center and it works okay with lower wires. They are kind of pokey at whichever end the wires are pushed to but it has improved with wear. The band does fit tight, after a few hours it digs in on my back painfully, but with an extender is okay. The cups fit my breasts wonderfully though so this bra is a winner for me.
The design is very cute. I love the dots, lace, mesh, and bow accents! It makes for a fun and flirty bra. The bottom side of the straps have a soft felt-like material that makes them very comfortable.
Now that I've learned more about my shape (narrow, even-FoB, soft), I know that this bra isn't good for me. There is some quadboob going on and the bra overall feels tight in a bad way. It gives me a very flat top profile that looks strange under regular crew-neck tshirts. The straps are very difficult to adjust while wearing the bra. Even though this doesn't fit, I'm not quite ready to give this one up yet because it gives me amazing cakes-on-a-plate cleavage with low cut tops. For someone who is on the narrow side, full on top, and projected, this is a good bra to try.
I had high hopes for this bra. It's my first moulded cup since my foray into bras that actually fit. I have only tried cut and sew in my new size. This Maddie is a basic nude but also has a nice pattern in the front and I liked the added lace trim. It's pretty smooth under shirts but I could see the bit of lace at the top of the cup. This isn't a deal breaker for me because I don't really mind if anyone can see the outline of my bra. The cups of this bra were too wide for me and I had empty space ...in the sides of the cups by my armpits but I also had a bit of quad boob at the top of the cup. I don't think it will be possible to size down in this bra because I will get even worse quad boob. Overall it felt nice, the fabric was very soft and it seems like it would be a comfortable bra. I guess I will stick to cut and see. I prefer them to the stuff moulded cups. Read more 82 more words
The top of the bra wrinkles, the wire digs into my underarm when I bend over, and the top of the gore also pokes into my chest as well. The band feels very tight even on the loosest hook, but only stretches out to about 2-3 inches, so I could just not be used to such a tight fitting bra yet. The straps have a really pretty scalloped edging, but I find it to be a bit scratchy. The straps also feel a bit too wide-set for my liking.
It's a gorgeous bra though! I might give it a try in a smaller cup size to see if it helps with the wrinkling. I'm still trying to figure out the right size, so maybe a smaller cup size will suit me better. The Malibu Blue is a lovely blue shade, and the Neon Orange is a bit more pinkish than I expected.
I got this bra on 30E because 28F was not available but I got lucky: the band is tight enough for me. It is only 58cm long unstretched so it fits like 28. (I usually wear 28F)
The cups are a little problematic. The upper part of cups is too tight and it cuts in a little. There´s some quadboobing because of that. It is not as bad as in Lucy, but still it is there. Also the bra feels kind of "tight", I´m not sure if one cup size bigger would be better.
Straps are okay, they adjust all the way.
EDIT. Cups are definitely too small. I tried to sew a dart/triangle to the center gore to ease the quadboobing, but then the cups were even "tighter", wires painful in the center and at the sides, and it was just not working. Pictures are taken without alterations (I took the dart off).
