I LOVE the shape Thai bra gives me, round and forward. The wire width is perfect! But the wires hurt! The gore is too high for sure and the wires hurt under my breasts as well. I need to wear an extender because the band is tiny!
Not the right size. Overall the cup is too big, but the bottom of the cups are too tight and not projected enough. I didn't realize this was recommended more for FOT folks. I think if it was the right size it would be decently comfortable, except for the bottom breast compression. The top of the cup is completely open, there is no point where it sits flat on my chest (which sometimes happens, even is the top of the cup is otherwise wrinkling). Gave it "okay" quality because there are some threads that are poking out, and parts of the embroidery have little tufts (loose ends) ,but the bra seems fairly well made.
This bra is so freaking adorable! The berry pattern has me melting! However, it's too small https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra is absolutely adorable, I love the bow embroidery on the top part of the cups! The cups give me the slightest quadboob, so I haven't decided if I'm going to take off the tags and keep it or not.
I've become a big fan of Mimi now that I have more upper fullness and can fill out this style properly, so I decided to pick up as many of these as I could. I was lucky enough to snag one in my actual size of 28E (instead of the sister sizes of 30DD) and got this in the blue and white polka-dotted Spot Print.
The 28E, being my correct size, is the best fit of all, as the band is properly snug. The cups are identical to the 30DDs I have, so they are a tiny bit small (mostly wires are a little short on the ...side and I could use a little more depth), but in general is still a good fit. When I was a smaller cup size and much shallower on top, I had a hard time filling out this style. I also tried a cup size up in 30E and it was definitely about a half cup size too big.
I'd stick with your normal band size and normal cup size, sizing down if you are on the smaller end of your cup size. I think this style is tough if you don't have enough upper fullness or are very shallow, so it's more for average to projected shapes. Because of the open cups, it is great for tall roots.
Blue Spot is not my favorite print though, as I find this shade of dusty blue a little drab on me. I wish I had gotten this size in the Rose Print, but c'est la vie. The blue and white polka dot is accented with vibrant coral picot trim at the upper cup and cradle. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid blue knit, with blue elastic adjustable straps. Unfortunately the straps are only partially adjustable and the elastic is medium width plain elastic, instead of a wider and textured option to prevent slippage. The printed fabric is pretty standard lightweight knit used for many printed bras (similar to Freya and Fantasie). The band is single layer fabric, and it's on the thinner side, so this might be why the band doesn't quite feel as secure as a thicker fabric or firm powermesh. Read more 281 more words
I've become a big fan of Mimi now that I have more upper fullness and can fill out this style properly, so I decided to pick up as many of these as I could. Since I found the cups of the 30DD to be a little small, I picked up a 30E as I could not find a 28F.
Since the 30 band is a little big for me and this style doesn't have the firmest band, the band is definitely much looser on me in the bigger cup size and rides up a bit. The longer wires are great and feel better than the smaller wires ...of the 28E/30DD, but unfortunately since I can't fill out the cups properly on both sides, the straps end up being too wide-set on my small frame. On my larger side, the cup is only about a half size too large, with a little bit of gapping at the top when I move due to the taller and slightly deeper cups, but it is definitely a full size too large on my smaller side.
It seems that the ideal size for me in this style would be somewhere between a 28E and a 28F. Alas, 3HC styles look terrible if you go larger and can't fully fill out the cup, so for now I'll be sticking with 28E/30DD. Read more 119 more words
Im very full on bottom and projected with narrow roots. The straps are still a bit to far apart for my liking but its not painful or uncomfortable to wear. The fabric and elastic is soft and smooth in texture making it very comfortable to wear all day. I do have some weird lumpy bits where the top layer mesh and embroidery is but I've noticed I have this issue with cleo upper mesh in general. The lumpiness isnt overtly noticeable under clothing so its fine. Im not a huge fan of the pattern but its one of the less obnoxious patterns that cleo has so its ok.
This bra is so tacky that it's cute. It has that signature cleo basketball shape and fairly narrow wires. The gore is low enough that the width dosen't bother me, there is a bit of empty space at the bottom and sides of the cups, though https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />. I will be keeping this bra, though. EDIT: the straps are way too wide set and gave me BLISTERS on my tail of spence!
This bra is great for my not full upper boobs and doesn't leave empty space. Nice lace. Maybe a little uncomfortable on the under arms due to lace texture. Goes far up on the sides so would be good to keep from spilling over if you have that issue.
Definitely the wrong shape for me, the cups seemed to be nearly spilling out the top but there was a lot of empty space on the bottom. I found the wires to be too wide and they dug into my sides. Otherwise a super cute bra.
It's one of not many padded bras that actually fits me quite well. There is a bit of gaping on my smaller, right breast, but it's not a problem for me at all. I can spend whole day wearing this bra. Found it perfect for summer, to match with lace t-shirt!
The gore is almost small enough, but doesn't quite lie flat. The band is SMALL. I had to wear two extenders. Doesn't work well for my FOB breasts, but would probably work for even fullness.
My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.
This bra has an inner cup in a balconnet cut, with an overlaying lace cup cut like a sports bra or bralette. It's slightly minimizing, but still gives a fairly rounded shape. The cups themselves (under the lace) are pretty projected. The inner cups are made of see-through tight mesh, and the upper piece of the inner mesh has stretch material. The outter lace extends up the thicker front part of the straps. I measured the straps around where they'd land on my shoulder, but the back of the bra has a regula adjustable strap that connects to ...the front unadjustable lace strap. The band is very snug, and I might even wear this with an extender for a while until it breaks in a bit more. It has 2 x 3 sets of hooks. The bra is really good quality, but I wouldn't say it's terribly comfortable (except the wide straps are very comfy). The material is a bit scratchy feeling, sort of like the Marcie. In fact the shape of the inner cup is like the marcie too, but with a stretchy top piece. Read more 88 more words
I am totally obsessed with rose print, so I've wanted to revisit Mimi for a long time despite this not working for me when I tried it in this size about a year ago. At the time, I was a pretty standard 28DD/30D, so I found both the band and cups to be far too big on me. Now, even though I am still a 28 band, I can get away with some 30DDs without band alteration due to increased cup size and fullness. Because of this, Mimi in 30DD fits almost perfectly, though the band is still a little loose and a 28E/28F would ...be preferable. At last, I've gotten my hands on the rose print Mimi!
In my current size, I found Mimi to fit very similarly to my Freya Summer Haze Padded Half Cup in 30DD. Both bras are 3HC styles, and have similar cup measurements and band measurements, though the main difference is that Mimi is slightly more open on the top than Summer Haze, and Mimi uses thicker foam padding that feels like memory foam, while Summer Haze is made with lightweight batting. Both are good for even shapes that are not too FOB or FOT. Both bras give me a rounded and lifted shape that looks great. I think compared to the Fantasie, Fauve, and Comexim 3HC styles, Mimi and Summer Haze are more immediately projected and more closed off at the top, which is ideal for my shape. The shallower and more open styles just don't really suit me. Note that seams are slightly more visible on Mimi than Freya Summer Haze or Patsy due to the thicker padding, so this is not great for wearing under very tight clothing.
In this size, Mimi fits quite well, though I feel that the wires could be a bit longer on the sides for me, and I could use a little bit more depth in the cup. I am measuring closer to 28F these days though, so many 30DDs feel a bit small in the cup. Therefore, I'd say that Mimi's cups run TTS, but the band isn't the tightest. My 30D and 30DD Cleo Marcies feel much more snug in the band. So, better to stick with your normal band size as sister sizing up may end up being a little too loose.
I'm not a huge fan of Mimi in the animal or polka dot prints, but I do love the rose. The background is slate grey, with a blue cast, and the design is of pink English roses with olive and chartreuse leaves. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid grey knit. The printed fabric is pretty standard lightweight knit used for many printed bras (similar to Freya and Fantasie). The band is single layer fabric, and it's on the thinner side, so this might be why the band doesn't quite feel as secure as a thicker fabric or firm powermesh. When I hook this on the tightest hook, it stays in place, but I think after some wear, it would be better altered down. 3HC styles don't give the best lift and shaping without a properly fitting band.
Cleo always plays with pops of color, and the rose print has chartreuse picot edging under the cradle and under the binding of the cup edge. Hardware and center gore bow are both pops of fuchsia. It's not too fancy, but a little unexpected, and I think the color combo works quite well. Other than the slightly flimsy band, one thing to note is that the straps are only partially adjustable, as the front is made from self fabric, and the elastic is medium width plain elastic. I wish they would've gone with a wider, textured option like on the Marcie to avoid slippage and provide better stability. Still, Mimi is a solid option, and if you are still able to get your hands on it, give her a try, and if the fit isn't quite right, try sizing down in the band to get a better fit in the cups. Animal print is totally not my thing, but I liked the fit of the Rose Print Mimi enough to pick up another one, and Orange Animal happened to be the one that's available. This bra fits very similarly to my Rose Print Mimi, as both are 30DD, but the left cup on this bra is slightly smaller (the right cup measures the same), so it feels slightly smaller on me overall. Fortunately, the left side is my smaller side, so it works out.

Orange Animal is a standard small-scale brown animal print with accents of orange coral. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid black knit, with black elastic adjustable straps. I'm thinking of picking up the Blue Polka Dot in a 30E to try a size up, but for now, this Mimi makes a good everyday option, as long as you aren't wearing anything too tight due to the visible seams. Read more 453 more words
I first tried Lexi about a year ago after having some success with the Cleo Maddie in 28DD. It fit me at the time, but I didn't really love it, because Maddie was a better fit, and the thick upper edge binding on Lexi was more visible under clothing. Amazon had a good deal on this in my current size so I gave it a try anyway. I didn't really expect to love it, and sure enough, I didn't.
One point I had forgotten is that Lexi is pretty shallow-friendly, as the cups are quite short and on the shallow side. This time, I also ...noticed that the shape is a bit of a mismatch for me. Once I have this on and am fully scooped and adjusted, I have massive overflow, but I can feel the center point of the cup is a bit empty. Therefore, the cup is a bit too projected at the center, while also being too short and slightly too shallow overall. I don't think I should size up in this style because Lexi and Maddie are both quite wide balconette styles, with wide-set straps, and I would not want the straps to end up sitting in my armpits.
This style gives a good push-up appearance if you are on the shallow side, as I remember being impressed with how this gave me a corset-like appearance in my smaller size. However, if you are average to full, I think the cups are simply too short to be a good option.
The band is decently firm and TTS for a Cleo 28. It is made from the same silky microfiber shadow stripe fabric that covers the cups, with very firm elastic throughout. The leotard back is a deep U at the center of the back, unlike the shallow leotard backs that Freya tends to make. Cups are molded foam and slightly thicker and firmer than average compared to most current US molded foam bras on the market. The overall look of the bra is clean and attractive, with shadow stripe fabric throughout and minimal trims, but the thick upper binding ruins it for me. I wish they had done a clean-finished edge to keep the bulk down, because you can really see this through clothing. Straps are also plain medium-width elastic and fully adjustable, but are totally smooth and slippage could be an issue. The only trim is a bowtie at the center gore. A good basic for shallow folks who need their bras to do a little more lifting than most UK bras offer, however watch for that upper binding! Read more 339 more words
