I've seen this bra recommended so many times, so I had to try it out. The first thing I noticed is that the padding is a little stiffer and thicker than I'm used to--I'm from the land of cheap molded t-shirt bras. The band was really really tight when I first tried it on--I thought I bought the wrong size at first--but quickly stretched out. Now, at two wears, the band is loose enough that I can hook it on the tightest hook (though I keep it on the loosest). Hopefully this is not because my ribcage has some sort of magical bra-destroying power. After wearing it all ...day, I had a few complaints, some of which might be because it's not quite broken in yet. The gore is much taller than I'm used to--again, I'm used to plunge t-shirt bras--and had a tendency to stab me in the sternum if I bent over. This probably would change over time, I'll stick a cotton ball under the stabbiest top part next time I wear it. The next is that the outer edge of the wire bites into my ribs in a really annoying way. I'm not sure if I just have sensitive ribs--it doesn't seem off of the root of my breasts, much or if it's a fit issue? The last is that the bra tends to unscoop and swoop itself over the course of the day. If I shift, a lot of breast tissue comes free of the cup and situates itself into the armpit or back area. I'm thinking this bra may be too shallow for me? Despite size, I'm not exactly what you'd call 'shallow'. All in all, this bra is an okay, if mildly disappointing first development into owning bras that fit. Read more 185 more words
I tried this bra when a 30D was too loose in the band and too small in the cup. This bra was very tight in the band, but the cups were just slightly too big for me. Also, the gore came up high and was uncomfortable. If nothing else had been wrong with it, I would have just bent the wires back. I ended up returning this bra and not ordering any more Junas.
The straps are too far apart and they cause the armholes to feel too small, and awkward. If the straps were moved in just a bit on the cups, the bra would fit with minimal wrinkling. As it is, the tops of the cups both gap open and cut into my underarms. The underwires encircle each breast well, and the band pulls everything front and center. For once, the center gore feels perfect. These cups paired with such wide-set straps just are not working on my wide set breasts and rounded shoulders.
After a few minor alterations this fits well. I love the way the underwires and the center gore fit exactly right. If only I could find a bra with cups like these in the bottoms part without the excess material on top!
The band on this one is rather tight for me, it barely closes so 30 DD it is. The gore comes up a bit high. Although it is narrow, the gore is still too wide for my breasts. I think I need low gores like in plunges, but I hear plunges are horrible for shallow breasts =(! I am FOT and this bra works well. I think I may need a bigger cup or at least a more narrow bra because I'm getting armpit fat when my breasts fall out the top since it isn't deep enough.
The band is very firm. I prefer this (as I measure 26" as tight as possible) but it may be uncomfortable for true 28 bands. I also would not recommend this bra for shallow girls, which is common in this size range. I have an unusual amount of projection for this size range and am pretty even in terms of fullness and still have difficulties filling out the top, which is a shame because I absolutely love this pattern. The lace is very stiff so it would definitely be noticebale if there was any more wrinkling than I currently experience. I wish they would make a Juna cut with the Meg pattern! Anyway, this bra is 100% for full on top girls, which is rare in this size range so shallow or full on bottom girls should probably steer clear.
Well constructed, vertical seams, lightly padded. The cups fit me perfectly. The lace doesn't always lie completely flat, especially at the gore, so it's not the perfect t-shirt bra. But, it's the most darn near perfect fit I've had.
The pattern is sweet and adorable. I was more concerned with trying this shape of Cleo then I was with the pattern, but it is much more attractive in person. I love the navy and red combo.
The black seems to be true to size. The only issue I had is that the gire dug into my sternum, but bending the wires slightly away from my body now makes is by far the most comfy bra I own. The lace doesn't lie flat, and it shouldn't when the bra fits correctly. If the lace lies flat, the cup is too small
First thing's first: this is the sweetest looking cherry red bra I've ever seen. The material used feels pretty great: the band feels very sturdy and the lightweight material of the cups feels though almost as it's not there at all. As far as the fit goes: argh, so close! The band is tight, I could really use an extra hook setting. I would need an extender to wear this all day. The center gore tacks, my boobs look pretty cute under clothing, front facing and uplifted. I seem to fill it out perfectly when I look down, but there's misfortune lurking nearby... under my arm. The cups are just too wide! ;( Near my armpits the side edge of the cup stands away and wrinkles a bit.
Pros: -This bra is really pretty! The lace is cute and the bright red color is fun -Nice narrow gore, excellent for my close-set breasts. -Textured straps help keep the adjusters from slipping - Very comfortable - Great shape -Band is nice and firm; measures true to size.
Cons: -Wires too wide for my narrow root, leading to empty cup fabric under the arms. -Wires about 1" shorter than their channel... don't quite understand this. -Straps too wide-set for me - they rub my arms.
I wish this bra would work for me, but I'm realizing I'm probably more of a Freya gal. The wires and straps are too wide-set for comfort for me.
This cut of Cleo doesn't work for my boobs. My boobs seem to be shallow, so I fill out the bottom of the cup but I get a lot of gaping at the top of the cup. This bra would work better for someone fuller on top.
This bra should work, but it doesn't. The wires seem to be the right width and length but the outer apex towards the arms of the wire's curvature hurts against my ribs, and the gore becomes uncomfortable after some time. Not to mention the issue of the lace failing to lie flat.
I found this bra on eBay for about $20, hoping that Cleo would be a improvement since Freya doesn't seem to quite work with my shape. I was right! It is perfect for my shape and I prefer the roundness that Cleo gives. The only issue that I have is that the cups sag slightly when I slouch but the fit in the rest of the cup is spot-on. From other reviews, it might be because the embroidery isnt as elastic as other Cleo bras with the same cut. Because of this, I might try to add a touch of elastic to keep the top of the cup in place. Otherwise, I think I will stick to Cleo!
As far as looks go, it's pretty but not my cup of tea. I like the shade of pink is pretty on my skin and the embroidered flowers look better in person than they do in pictures, it's just not my style.
This bra works great as a tshirt bra - the seams and lace aren't really visible under a shirt. The fabric is nice and smooth, and the bra is really comfortable.
I did have to go down a band size (and therefore up in the cup) from my usual size - the band is quite stretchy and I can easily fit in the 28.
The bra is definitely wide enough and shallow enough for my shape, but it is maybe verging on slightly too closed on top.
I was so sad this bra didn't fit! The cups are just a little too small; they cut into tissue at both the top and the sides, near my arms. The center gore didn't hurt at all though, and the band felt good. It would have been comfortable if it were the right size. The fabric is really silky and smooth, and the lace at the top didn't itch.
See... I should have read the previous reviews before ordering the 28E on this one. It definitely runs small - evident quad-boob effect. The bra itself seems quite comfortable if it were the right size for me. As it is, the 28E doesn't enclose my breasts as it should, whith the wires being too short on the sides (breast spillage in the under arm) and the cups digging into the breast tissue on the top. Quite sad... I ordered the short along with the bra - it's lovely and it fits wonderfully (the short, that is). I ordered it online from the UK and I am in Portugal, otherwise I would return it for the 28F, which would probably fit me much better. Other than that, it's a nice looking bra, with the magenta brightning up an otherwise "regular" black bra. The fabric is quite nice too, soft, although not as soft as the very nice microfibre on the Cleo Juna, which, by the way, I own in 28E/nude and fits great.
I was in terrible pain when I took off this bra after wearing it for a whole day. I think that the band runs small in this color (white). The gore, wires and straps irritated my skin, and the wires were stretched so that empty space appeared on the outside of the cups. The cups are slightly too deep, but the top edge is also too tight so there is quite a bit of wrinkling. I have almost no padding on my ribcage, so I would go up a band size and down a cup size if I were to try this style and color again. I love the look of the pure white lace.
it makes perfect round apples out of my boobs, no poking, no cons. and the band is soo tight that once it even fits, normally everything is too wide for me. love it, love it, love it. I collect this bra in all colors i can get, and i keep dying them too to get even more.
Bought this from Barenecessities hoping to do a sister size conversion from my Calvin Klein 30DD and finally try some sub-30 bandsizes. Unfortunately this bra's (28E) cup size is definitely too small (yay quad-boob), but the band fits amazingly. I've ordered a 28F so hopefully that one will be a better fit!
