Technically this bra is a cup size and band size too big, but I got it at the silly price of 89 pence with free delivery (clearance sale!) so I thought I'd give it a try.. Luckily, it seems small in the cup and tight in the band so it fits pretty well. I'd say it feels smaller than the Freya patsy half cup in 30e; though maybe its just the higher gore stopping it from gaping so much at the top? There is a small amount of gaping but I usually get that with this sort of bra.
The ruffled material on the straps makes it awkward to adjust them. There is a bit of wrinkling in the cups but that's probably down to poor packaging and the postman shoving it through the letterbox without much care. The placing of the vertical seam in the cup gives a strange line to the otherwise lovely round shape (though only at certain angles).
The Marcie fits me ok, but the Minnie is more problematic: the cups are a fraction too deep, and want a different shape to the upper breast. There's space for more breast than I have (I'm evenly shaped), but it's a tight upper edge that I feel would fight with soft tissue and look like it's cutting in.
I'm not bothered by the fit issues, as it's not visible through shirts, but it's not what I'd call ideal. However, I wear 30 bands in Cleo, so I'm not sure how much of the fit issue is due to sizing up in the band (or whether sizing up in the band is the only reason the cups are rendered wearable for me).
Before I get into this reveiw, my shape is: narrow, projected, very full-on-bottom,very center-heavy, widely spaced, slightly splayed, low-set, short rooted. I also have a very squishy ribcage and a very pronounced tail of spence.
I was ALMOST convinced that this bra fit. Like, super-duper close. The stretchy band was actually pretty comfortable to wear, and I was surprised to note that this bra was indeed compatible with my difficult shape (as I've read from many sources). However, after a day's wear it became apparent that this bra was not properly fitted; Because the band is just too darn loose, it cut into my tail of spence very painfully, and the straps left angry red welts from having to tighten them down to get the support I needed.
I will probably re-purchase in a 30F, because it was breezy on hot summer days and disappeared nicely under my work t-shirts.
This is the first bra I have ever tried on that is a perfect fit. The cups are narrow enough, there is enough projection and I am completely supported. There is very mild wrinkling on my smaller breast near the top but I am nitpicking. Unfortunately, I don't like the way my breasts look in it. I would prefer a fit that rounds them out a bit as my natural shape is more than a bit conical and it is obvious in this bra. If I just can't find anything else, I will purchase this again but in a 34DD. The band is far too tight and at a mere 25", an extender is not good enough for my 31" ribcage.
I really like this bra and the shape it gives - it is very good at pushing my breast tissue in from the sides and projecting it out. My breasts tend to splay out to the sides a little, but this bra pushes them together and pushes them out while remaining comfortable. The wire extends up the breastbone in the center a little bit higher than I'm used to but after a few wearings I got used to it, it wasn't uncomfortable, and the center gore tacks. My roots are not narrow, I think they're on the wider side of regular, and the Lucy underwires fit my breast ...roots well. I wouldn't want the wires to be too much narrower than they are, otherwise they'd start cutting into my breast tissue on the sides. I got the pale peach and neon orange variety on sale on ebay (the picture makes it look white but mine was a pale peach color) and it's very cute. I really want more Lucys in different colors. The lace pattern doesn't show too much underneath a t-shirt; it is faintly noticeable, but I am comfortable wearing it under t-shirts. Read more 86 more words
OK fit, band is comfortable, but I think I would size down if I was to buy this bra again. Scratchy at first, but after a couple washes that cleared up. Gaping at the top when slouching, but not a bad fit, all in all.
This bra is definitely for shallow breasts. I'm projected, therefore, I ordered a cup size up, thinking it would compensate for my projected shape. Nope. Still couldn't fill the bottom. And for me, the band felt like a true 32 band (pink color).
I am so sad that this bra didn't fit. I could fill the bottom of the cups and the underwire length was perfect, but it was wrinkly at the top. I'm going to wait for a 32DD to try because I think this bra definitely has potential. The fabric is super cute and the band runs true to size. I would recommend someone FoB trying their regular size and a size down just to see what fits.
Cute bra, too big for me. Projection was good. Even though the bra was too big, the wire wasn't quite wide enough for all of my tissue. I would say the band definitely runs true to size. I think if I had gotten it a cup size smaller, it would have looked better.
Beautiful and super comfy. The gore is a bit high, but i didn't really start to notice it until the very end of a 12 hr day. I do need to alter the band to make it smaller and I will liked alter the lace on my smaller breast to make it lie flat. The slight wrinkling on that breast isn't noticeable under a shirt but it bothers me to see I think i will alter it, should be an easy fix. After more wear, the wires are too wide. I still love the fit, but I do notice a feeling of less support or looseness from the wire width but not enough to cause any wrinkling or pain.
I was super excited for this bra. I figured since I had a Le Mystere 32E, this might work. Granted, that bra hardly works for me. The cup depth is good, but I have to wear the bra on the last hook to stay scooped and supported. Should expect that for a 32 I suppose, especially when I'm measuring 29".
I'd really like to try this bra in 30E, 28F, or the sister sizes (30F,28FF) of this bra. This fits VERY nicely and looks great, but I'm concerned that won't last long. I initially tried this on and couldn't stay scooped, and the cups were thusly too large.
I'm unsure if the band on ...this is stretched from previous wear, or if this model normally just has a larger band. If so, I'd like to look at 28F/FF.
Anyway, this gives a really nice, rounded shape. Great for an unlined bra. I also love the design. And color. I dated someone who hated all things black (my wardrobe was all black) so I regrettably threw away all my black bras and everything else. Granted, they were 34B so I couldn't/wouldn't wear them now anyway. But I miss them regardless, and am super happy to have a nice, black bra again.
I still need the 30E/F or smaller band wise, seeing as I need to use the last row of hooks, but this will do well for now https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
As far as I can tell, this should do well for narrow to average roots, some projection, and even shapes. I'm not sure for purely FoB or FoT people. I can see FoB having trouble with the fixed mesh shape, up top. I'm very shallow on top though, and fit into a cup size larger than my usual. Purely FoT may have trouble, again, with the fixed mesh shape. This bra is unlike any other I've tried, so I have a hard time giving any more advice as I'm just learning. My own shape should be FoT to even, but I'm really shallow only up top, projected in the middle, and fit better into bras that suit bottom fullness. Learning this has made making reviews super confusing for me to add any recommendations, so I apologize in advance.
I also am unsure about the wires. For me, and for a 32E, these wires are narrower than many other 30F/32E's I've tried on, but they're very...straight? Kind of like a wide cereal bowl, as opposed to a Japanese tea cup, "U" shape. So, these wires are probably for average roots, and they may work for wide, but this bra somehow works for me even though I need narrower wires. I guess because they don't come up towards my armpits like most other wide wired bras- that may be why it works.
The center gore is also not very wide. This would probably be good for boobs that need closer set wires. They don't touch, but they JUST don't touch. There's like a centimeter or two in between the wires where they don't touch.
Otherwise, that's about all I have to say about this bra in this size.
Cleo and I get along pretty well. I got this new online but non returnable so I got a 32 E because a few of the cleos I tried were too small in the 30 band. I wish I had gotten the 30 instead because I haven't gotten as much wear out of it as I am used to with my Lily.

Straps run a little tight - I've had to let them out to their full length. (On unpadded Cleos, I normally have the slider sitting about two inches above the band, for reference.)
This one is cut for full-on-top shapes: the upper lace edge is extremely loose (and gets looser the tighter you pull the straps, paradoxically). I thought having an even shape it might not be too bad, but I suspect I could even get away with a 32DD in this particular bra, the cup is so voluminous.
Super cute and fun bra everything fits me on this bra with the exception on the gore. The gore is too wide for my close set breasts so it hurts and sits on my tissue.
Lovely simple moulded bra. I like the smooth feel of the fabric and it is well constructed. Straps are narrow but very comfortable. Gore is on the higher side which may bother some people. Wires are average width. Top of the cup gapes a bit on me but I'm not sure whether it's a shape or size issue.
This bra is not in the most appropriate size, I know! But it was for sale and I loved the model so damn much! I've been fastening it of the tightest hook since the first day and I'll sure need to adjust the band...but the bra fits so wonderfully that I don't really mind!
