My usual size for Cleo is 32DD, and I was very surprised to find that my best fit for the Marcie is the 32E, but it fits well enough that it could practically have been hand-tailored for me! The band has stretched out quite quickly, so I think next time I buy a Marcie I shall get the 30F and wear it with an extender at first if I need to while it's breaking in.
The purple colorway is very pretty, and overall this bra was a good tester to determine shape as it is known for being FOB friendly. With that said I do not really care for the closed off lace on top as it slightly cuts into the top of the breast tissue ever though I lean more towards FOB, and does not really lift. However in classic cleo fashion it does provide a lifted shape.
I really like this bra, and it is very comfortable. It was a little itchy when I first got it, but now it's perfect. It has hardly stretched out at all. One of its few problems is that it doesn't quite cover all of my tissue up to my arms in addition to that its top after the embroidered section is a little loose on the frill, but overall it is one of my most worn and favorite bras.
I bought this in Candy Pink in a 32E (also have a 30F - Cleo ยป Maddie Moulded Balconette T-shirt Bra (7201) in nude that I must use an extender with. Compared to the 30F (which is a bit too wide at the straps just under the underarms, this 32E is perfect. I can swoop and scoop, and pull in the underarm fat/bulges perfectly fine without it digging into the tendons of my underarms.
This bra seems to work well for my close-set, FoB, shallow, wide-root breasts. Although I tend towards balconette style bras, sometimes the gore's can be too wide and/or high, as I ...essentially have less than an inch between breasts. This gore sits low and close enough that this is not a problem--the gore tacks perfectly, is low/close enough to not rub or sit on the breast tissue while also not being too low (like a plunge) to keep the breast tissue from spilling out of the cups towards the middle. The underwires a a good length, too, perfectly encapsulating my outer breast tissue.
The color is a deep, bright pink, and looks really nice for what is otherwise a rather basic, plain bra. The moulded cups can feel a bit stiff and unwieldy, but this isn't really a problem since I'm used to such cups. It isn't really padded, per se, just enough from the moulded aspect of the cups. Perhaps due to the stiffness of the moulded cups, I do have a bit of gapping at the top towards the straps (I can pinch about a 1/4" of excess fabric), but I believe this is more likely just a result of my breasts just sloping so much, and that sizing down in the cups would be overkill.
This bra is pretty comfortable--instantly more comfortable than the 30F due being slight less wide under the arms/strap area, and I haven't experienced very much poking of underwires or rubbing.
Overall, a very comfortable, nearly seamless (the trim along the top shows a bit under clingier fabrics) t-shirt bra.
[ETA: even though the fit info says it doesn't fit me, I would venture to say it's probably the closest fit I can manage in this particular bra.] Read more 261 more words
The band of this bra is definitely too big, but the cup size seems right and doesn't do anything weird to my breast shape. It is comfortable because of the band and ends up being one I wear a lot because I don't have many bras that fit.
This is the prettiest bra I have ever seen. I got it for a really good deal on Amazon. Unfortunately, the wires are a little too narrow. I like the rest of the fit enough that I'm going to try to alter it so that it fits better.
My first bra that was slightly out of the bra-matrix sizing (just barely...).
This bra is uncomfortable on me: the top sides of the cup rub into my arm, though I'm not sure how much of that is due to it still not really being the correct size.
Moderately comfortable pretty bra. Doesn't fit my shallow shape. Not sure if sizing up the band and down the cup x2 would help. Straps sit too wide for me and cup has gaping at the top.
Beautiful bra. Very comfortable. Almost perfect for my shallow breasts except I can't quiet fill the cup. Might be fixed by sizing down the cup but I don't have the lower size to test. I would probably keep it regardless of the cup except for the shape is odd for me. Breasts are lifted which is nice but also pulled in to a point where it minimizes the look of my size. Still a pretty shape just a different look for me.
Beautiful perfect t-shirt bra... if it fit my shape.
This bra fits great at first look but after moving around the cup area under the arm, before the wings, starts to dig into my breast (ouch!). This phenomenon also causes the cup to start gaping. I wish it would have but this still did not work for me.
I LOVE this bra and it used to fit me perfectly until my tissue migrated again. This is the real first bra I've had since venturing into the realm of properly-fitted bras that has given me the shape I want-- nice and rounded. And on top of that, it's very cute. The only problem I had with it was the band. It seemed like it was either too big or too stretchy. I've had to wear it on the tightest hook the whole time. I think I'm going to remeasure and buy the same bra in my new size, but go with a tighter band and sister size the cup.
Shape not right for me - quad boob and too much room between the end of the wire on the wing and the strap! The mesh was comfortable and the colors are fun. Sad it didn't work for me
I really like the shape of this bra. My main issue is that the straps don't adjust long enough. By the end of the day the straps have left deep, red marks and my shoulders are sore.
This bra fits so nicely. The cups are soft and comfortable and super pliable, so they will definitely be easy to manage no matter what. I feel like it does a very good job of keeping everything in place, no matter how much you move in it. Also, it's super cute!
I tried my sister size of 32E in the Cleo Cara because it was a good price from Bare Necessities. The 32 band is not tight at all on the tightest hooks. I felt the underwires were a tad too narrow on the sides for me. This is a very pastel bra, so if you like pastels, you'll love this. The lace at the top of the cups reminded me of Panache Juna's. I do like the very round profile that derives from the vertical seams. Each cup has one vertical seam. I will return this bra because pastels aren't my thing, and the band is just too loose, even on the tightest hooks. I prefer pure white or icy colors to pastels.
This bra has very narrow wires. The bottom of the cups are a very tight U shape. The band was a bit too big for me, I'm usually a 30 or 28, so I ended up hand sewing from the stays at the bottom of each cup outwards along the elastic. This changed the stretched bra from 78 cm to 74 cm, which works great for me!
