I had to use an extender for the first couple of wears, but it "broke in" to a good point for me and has stayed there for several months now of wearing it about twice a week. The top section of the bra only sits flat if I keep my shoulders all the way back, but I still like the shape it gives me (nicely lifted and forward). I feel very supported and secure in this bra, and it's just beautiful on top of that. The center gore is pretty high but narrow, and I like that.
This one was okay, again except for the top of the cups. And the gore was very uncomfortable for me. It dug painfully into my chest and I don't think I could have worn it all day.
I have somewhat soft breasts and I find that in this bra I pour into the center and leave gaps at the sides. It ends up looking too small in some areas and too big in others. Under clothes this isn't noticeable though. The straps are set a bit too wide for me as well. Other than that it is a very comfortable bra. After wearing it all day, I almost forget it's on. Not a great fit for me, but it works well enough.
After having worn this bra in a 34DD, going down a bandsize and up a couple cups has been a godsend. (Truth be told, I think I might even be able to go up up more cupsize but it's certainly not dramatic enough to be a dealbreaker. I only get the merest shadow of quad-boob, and only with my larger breast.)
The shape I get with the Lucy is superior to ANY other bra I have EVER worn. It's perky, perfectly rounded, foward-projecting, nicely defined. Basically anything I could ever ask for in a bra. The balconette style makes for perfect coverage - I'm ...not a big fan of plunges, so I like the height of the center gore but the generally level cut across the top of the cups. My only complaint with this bra is very minor - even though the band fits, I find that the lower edge of the center gore curves inward, leaving me a small pink line across my chest. However, this may just be an issue with my bra specifically, and certainly not a problem with the Cleo line as a whole.
This time around, I went with the navy/pink colorway, which is basically adorable. I really enjoy that it has accenting embroidery, unlike other colorways which have just one color and an accenting bow. The embroidery itself is flat enough that I can wear it with all but the thinnest fabrics - it basically begins to show through around the same point that the seams themselves show. Overall, this is probably one of my favourite bras. Read more 164 more words
New review for an older bra. This was my favorite before learning a too small cup can still be loose at the top. This one doesn’t is a bit too small for my side boob matter.
This is such a cute bra, but unfortunately the gore presses painfully into my sternum, the top side edge of the cup digs into my arm if I lean forward, and I get quad-boob both on top and in the center of the cups. The wires press into my breast tissue at the center, but there's a lot of wrinkling in the side of the cups, so the wires must be too wide. The band is also stretchier than previous reviews indicated, and I think I should have tried a 30 band.
I think the cut of this bra is weird. Normally the cup width of 14.5 cm will be perfect for me, but for this bra there is empty fabric at side. My right boob is a little bit smaller so the problem is quite obvious there. Will ask for a fitting help.
Besides, the material of this bra is very comfortable. The band is slightly looser and more stretchy than other 32-bands.
*MY INFO* Mar 13, 2020 - 32FF/G(recommended by abrathatfits calculator) - narrow root - projected - slightly full on top - center fullness
*REVIEW* - BAND: It stretchs moderately and fits comfortably. Gently stretch well. The previously bought bras at Curvy Kate(same band sizes) were hard and poorly stretched. Compare to those, it's as elastic as hair tie. The hook in the middle was most comfortable. So far I have worn almost 75(34 in UK) to 80(36 in UK) sizes in Asian sizes and they are always too big for me. 32 size is my best size I think.
- CUP: It has vertical seam, so it's good for full on top and best shape for ...me. Sadly, cup size is too small and it makes quad boobs. But I'm on a diet and maybe later it will fit me. I'll just keep this until then.
- DESIGN: basic bra of nude tone. There is a cute race at the top of the cup. I like the design but there's only two hooks, it would have been better if there were three hooks. Read more 66 more words
This is my best fitting (cough cough only) bra at the moment. I had to overlap the center wires, they were too wide for what I think are my center full breasts. They cut into breast tissue and hurt. The gore is still too tall and bugs me periodically throughout the day. The wires are a tad bit wide but dont cause discomfort, and it seems to have enough projection, or at least more than anything else I've tried. I like the shape ok, I'd prefer more front and center but it's fine. I've recently reassessed and done more reading and realize one of the reasons I'm having so much trouble finding good bras is I thought I was shallow and wide set but now I think I might be more projected and center full with maybe roots on the narrow side of average. So I'm starting from scratch!
ABOUT THIS BRA: This is an unpadded, mini-longline with wired half-cups.
Purchasing: * $41.17 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns (not Amazon Wardrobe) * not available in neutral colors (only hot pink, acid coral, and bright blue)
Band: * One layer of stretch mesh outside boning (between boning and clasps). * Band between cup/wire and wing boning constructed of non-stretch lace lined with non-stretch mesh. * Elastic at top of band. * Wing support: boning. * Full band - band straight under wires (a short longline, will not provide waist shaping) * Back close with 3 columns of hooks. * Extra seaming (not boning) beneath each apex to prevent rolling/bunching. (spoiler: fails).
Straps: * smooth elastic without outer lacy ...ridges * soft (don't stand up on their own) * full adjust * straight back (not leotard)
Cups: * 3-seam (4-piece) half-cup (top edge is diagonal, not horizontal, so I can't call this a balconette) * unpadded, stiff underwire * Upper panel is non-stretch mesh with dot embroidery. * Lower panels are non-stretch lace. * The entire cup is lined with a non-stretch mesh. * Soft cups (no padding or molding).
ABOUT ME: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection * average-set (one finger width of space between breasts) * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line) * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * short root height, average vertical placement * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame * front (anterior) rib flares
FIT
Band: * length: difficult to fasten (tight) but once on is comfy and stays in place with wear * wings: too short, boobs escape * After bending over, the band scrunches up in front because there is no boning there. * Unable to smooth my rib flares.
Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine.
Straps: * too far apart, slip * adjust short enough
Cups: * Wires wide enough (SO RARE). * Smooth line at top of cup on larger breast. (Tiny wrinkles on smaller breast -- acceptable.) * Bottom of cup filled (enough immediate projection at the wire). * Apex fits (not too deep, too shallow, nor off-center). * Gives a wide, oval, breasts-in-the-armpits shape. * Upper, outer edge of cup cuts into tail of Spence. * Lace is scratchy.
Assessment & Plan * Band & cups fit. Straps too wide and cups cut into tail of Spence. Unattractive shaping. Front of mini-longline band scrunches up due to lack of boning. * Longlines without boning don't stay put. Don't bother with them. * Stop trying half-cup styles -- the wide-set straps slip and rub on my tail of Spence. Read more 336 more words
I'm still looking for a properly fitting strapless bra. This is yet another one in the "wrong shape" category. Some reviews said it was shallow, others said not so much, so I figured I'd at least see for myself. In my humble opinion, this is definitely on the shallow/wide end of the spectrum. The cups are also too tall and closed for my petite frame, despite having wide shoulders.
The band is definitely snug. Almost too snug. Two strips of silicone both top and bottom of band, but not along the cups. Wings are tall, good for controlling side spillage. Boning under the arms. Low gore fit well with my close set shape. Cups, like I said, are shallow and wide. The wires sat low on my ribs and left empty space at the bottom. And at the same time quadded all around the top of the cups.
Bottom line: if it fits your shape it would give a nice profile. The plunge would work well with low-cut tops. And the band would be very supportive.
Purchasing: * $55 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns (not Amazon Wardrobe) * fun, non-neutral colors are available
Band: * One layer of stretch mesh. * Elastic at top of band. * Wing support: soft seaming. * Continuous band - wires lower than wings. * Back close with 3 columns of hooks.
Straps: * ridged elastic * soft (don't stand up on their own) * full adjust * leotard back
Cups: * 2-seam (3-piece) half-cup (top edge is diagonal, not horizontal, so I can't call this a balconette) * unpadded, stiff underwire (wire twists instead of stretching) * Upper panel is non-stretch lace (unlined). * Lower panels are two layers of non-stretch mesh. * Soft cups (no padding or molding).

Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine.
Cups: * Gives a pleasantly round shape. * Wire width good (SO RARE). * Top of cup gaps. * Bottom of cup filled (enough immediate projection at the wire).
Straps: * feel too far apart but don't slip * adjust short enough
Comfort & Fit Summary * Recommended for giving conical breast shapes (like mine) a nice round shape. It did this, but had other fit issues. * Tried in multiple sizes (reviewed separately), all with a crummy fit. Once the cups were wide enough (32F), they were too big. Finally decided that this style is too projected for me and gave up. Read more 206 more words
A really thick cup edge that shows significantly under a T-shirt. Cup is a little too open for my smaller side but fits fine on the larger. Straps are also a bit too far apart. Otherwise, seems comfortable.
My shape: super projected, centerfull, FOB, suuuuper soft tissue
This bra completely confuses me. I saw a review here that mentioned it having a stretch lace upper but it definitely does not. That’s not a problem. My centerfullness was incredibly happy with this bra but my outer breast was not. From the apex of the bra to the wing is basically a straight line. This completely flattens my soft tissue and forces it out the side. Wider wires and taller wings would contain it but this bra has neither so it gives me a full on breast tissue/fat roll at the wing, that I’ve never gotten in any other bra. I haven’t seen a review yet that mentions this, so I can only assume that it’s a combination of my soft tissue and the cup being too small. I think my projection and centerfullness take up so much of the cup, there’s no room left for my side boob.
Aesthetically, it’s cute and unique but nothing I would have picked on my own.
Wish this worked. Love the wire length; I’m short waisted, so too many bras come up into my armpits. Alas, the wires are too narrow and top cuts in with the 32F after scoop/swoop, and I can’t fill the top and the wires are too high again when sizing a cup up. Cleo Maddie worked better in a 32F, and I just have to deal w the high underwires.
Update: this too slid down, but slower and less than Cleo Maddie.
The Marcie is the closest I’ve had to a fitting bra since I lost 35 lbs last year (65 lbs total). I lost a lot of upper fullness, and have a bit of extra skin, so I had to start fitting from scratch again. I’m stunned at how much my body changed once my BMI went below 25.
I still have a lot of immediate projection and (I think) center fullness, so I’ve had a lot of trouble w collapsing cups or the cups sliding down over time from being too shallow. And if I managed to solve that problem, I found the wires were too high (I’m ...short waisted) or the upper cup cut into breast tissue if I scoop/swoop.
This is the first bra I’ve worn that almost solves both those issues; my pits would feel better if the wires were ~1 inch shorter. Hopefully, it will become less annoying once I wash it.
Update: after wearing the Marci for 8hrs, I discovered the entire band was sliding down; it was below my IMF by almost an inch! My short-waisted curse. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 81 more words
