I first tried the 32G, which was way too big in the cups for me (see pictures, they are all for the 32G version. I'll try to add the pictures of the as well 32FF later). I swapped it for a 32FF, and we have lift off! Now the fit is very similar to my red Minnie in 32G, so I suppose the blue color way is just a bit bigger than the red version, I'd say it's almost a full cup difference, as the blue Minnie in 32FF is only a smidgen smaller than the red Minnie in 32G. I'd suggest everyone who wants to try this style to order two sizes per color.

If you want to know what I think about this bra in terms of fit, lift, comfort and so on, look at my review for the red Minnie!

    Didn't fit

My first bra bought at my first real fitting - trial, error, and Victoria's Secret had me wearing bras with gussets an inch from my sternum that, somehow, also managed to cut bleeding welts into me unless I sewed padding along the band. After a few frustrating rounds with the internet and a tape measure, I drove two hours to Dallas and hoped they knew what they were doing.

I left my old 36DDD (hahahahaha) behind in the boutique's trashcan and walked out wearing this! My mind was blown. I honestly didn't believe that it would ever be possible for a gore to sit on my sternum, and yet! ... My boobs were not only facing forward, but I looked much narrower. I used to be very self-conscious about the way my chest's width overwhelmed my petite figure, but it suddenly looked like just an average chest.

The internet had told me to expect some discomfort as I adjusted to this new, tighter band, so I tried to tough it out as my new bra's band cut into my sides and left angry red marks on my torso that lasted for hours after it came off. I told myself that tissue would migrate or the bra would stretch out... rookie mistake.

And therein lies the learning experience - I'd finally found such a thing as too tight! I got a bra extender, so I still wear this model, but the next time I bought a Lucy, I ordered a band size up. Here's where it gets weird. I bought a white Lucy on which the cups ran small, so I ended up in a 34FF. But then I bought a red Lucy, and the 34FF cups were a size too big.

This is a great bra that does NOT quit. I should have worn it out four times over by now, but it's still just as taught as when I bought it. Don't expect this one to loosen up, because it won't.

Also expect the cup size to vary between colors. The bands seem consistently too-snug, but the cups seem to be pretty random, within a 2 cup size range.

I may have to try a 32F in this bra. The top lace portion wrinkles and I don't fill it out even after aggressively scooping and swooping. I also wore an extender to add an additional row, as it was just a bit too snug.
After wearing it for the day, I feel like I should try it in a smaller cup to really see if this bra works for me. I will say, it seemed promising.

      :)

eBay. Maybe eBay UK. Can't remember which one.

    • I've always thought that was such a pretty bra!

Yes! I am so excited to find a near perfect bra.
Let's get into why I think it's "near" perfect.
I have high roots, and have to hike up any bra I wear fairly high on my body. Luckily, I also have a long torso, so it doesn't make me look odd, but in some bras, it can be uncomfortable under the arms. This bra doesn't bother my armpits, but the straps could stand to be a smidgen away from my arms. It's not horrible, or a deal breaker, but I would want a tiny bit of space between my arms and the straps. Which is amazing, since ... I do have wide shoulders, so ... That said. I do have a bit of room on my highest and smallest breast at the very bottom of the cup which causes my tissue to slid down and therefore the wire is not in the fold. I'm thinking the ONLY way to remedy this is to get one of those silicone pad/ bra cookie/chicken cutlet type of things and just slide it in, and therefore it would keep my breast tissue up, and the bra would do the rest. Really like the way the bra rises up and out on an incline from the bottom, it helps keep my soft breast in place better than bras that my tissue just sits into, if that makes sense.
All in all, I really like this bra and want to find the other colorways available.

    • I have just got the Erin which I think is the latest version, Cleo seem to change this one regularly compared to Lucy and Marcie. I think Meg may have been a previous version too but from what I have read was tricky to fit. I have myself only just really discovered Cleo and feell like I'm going on about them all the time!

    • Okay, I need to check out the stats on Erin then. I have Meg on my list. I have a Marcie but in a 32F which is too small in the cups.

This is really small! I was bummed because I just submitted my measurements into the r/abrathatfits calculator, and I came up with 32FF as my size. Obviously this style bra doesn't fit, because it was too tight in the band and my boobs were popping out of the top! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> It's really pretty, though. I wish it fit!

Cleos all run tight in the band, and I think most people have to go up a cup in the Juna. If you want to try again, maybe a 34FF will fit you better?

    • 1

And welcome to the site! :)

    • Thanks! I'm sort of obsessed with finding the right bra now, hahah! This site is amazing!
      And thanks for the recommendation!

    • The Juna isn't one of the Cleos that run tight in the band; it's a padded style and the unlined Cleos are the ones that generally run tight.

That said, it's a shallow-cupped bra that runs a cup size or two small. I have average projection and usually wear 30FF in Cleo, but I have a tiny bit of overflow in the Juna even in 30G.

    • my newest juna in 32FF was a bit snug until it broke in with the help of an extender. that being said, im between a 34 and 32 band, and it just goes to 32, so i would call the band true to size. its definitely on the shallow side though, so that is more likely the issue making it seem too small. have you tried the band on upside down so the cups are out of the equation?

    • I need to research this stuff a bit better before I order from a UK site! I wish I had somebody near by that could tell me what the heck my shape is, or even somewhere I could just try bras on. I had my hubs help me do the five measurement thing for r/abrathatfits, and I drove an hour outside of town to a specialty bra boutique that's supposed to be really good. The lady there measured me at a 36DDD, and the bra I bought from her fits nicely, but after a while the center part digs into my belly fat when I sit down. Still, it's better than what I had been wearing before. I'm just confused because I know that the underbust measurement is supposed to be the band measurement, right? My measurements are:
underbust snug: 32" underbust tight 30" bust standing 39" bust leaning down 42" bust laying down 41"

    • I've never heard of the upside down thing before coledarling ! I'll try that, though the cups are still wayyy too small.

    • oh gosh a 36DDD sounds like she used the +4 method on you. did you ever post on /abrathatfits an ask there? it looks like the cal says to start with 32FF/G, maybe youre closer to a 32G. which would mean Juna would probably have to be sized up a few cups to work, and that may make it too wide.

    • yes the cups will probably be too small, i agree. but at least it will tell you if the band size is closer to correct, and thats a huge help!

    • The lady at the boutique was older, so more than likely she did use the +4 method. Arghhhh!
I'm not married to the idea of having a Juna, or even the balconnet style bra. I just want something that fits and doesn't make my boobs push out to the sides. Before my recent bra adventures, I had always worn a 36DD in whatever full coverage styles I could find. Quad boob city for sure.

    • i feel you, im still on the journey of finding "the one" bra. getting close though! :) we have to keep on trucking, one day the bra prince will come!

    • I personally size up in the band for the Juna because I think the band still runs a bit small. I don't have a problem with the cups being small at all (I got with my regular cup size), but I'm shallow, so they're right for my shape.

Oh how I wanted this bra to work! It is a beautiful bra, in a bright red-orange.

Turns out this is NOT the same as the Marcie.

There was no support in the cups, they were at least one cup size too big in volume.

I won't be looking for a smaller size though. I will try the Marcie.

Fits well. The band is slightly too loose on the loosest hooks but it is used so that's fine. Wires are good, as with all Cleo bras. Enough bottom projection for me. Straps are placed further in than my 30G Cleos, so I think for future purchases I'll stick with a 32FF (yay happy armpits!).

The only real issue I have is that my left breast (bigger one) gets some overflow where the seams meet. I think this has been described as "in-cup quadboob". To combat this I had to loosen the strap quite a bit. I washed it today and I tried to stretch the seam a little so we'll see how that works.

I thought the pattern was weird in promo pictures and all but it's actually quite charming in person https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I can't wait to get my hands on the magenta/orange colourway coming out in May!

I have this bra in Candy Pink and Aquamarine; much to my surprise it fits and fits well!. It has wide underwires and fits FAR under my arms, but I like it. I was nervous because it's unlined and sheer but I find it very supportive. The straps don't slip at all. This bra taught me that it really is the band that gives the support. I've never worn an unlined bra ever, and it pleases me that I like this one so much!!

The gore lies flat, the straps are a good width. Like I said, the underwires go pretty far under ... my arms but that gives me a feeling of security and is not uncomfortable in any way. The band is not as snug as some others but I also think I have a tendency to wear my band too low on my back, maybe a habit from all those years wearing a band that was too big.

But I have joined the Marcie bandwagon, for sure! I think I should have gone with the F instead of FF cup due to not being able to quite fill it up top but I call this one a win. I was surprised the 32 band felt good since in many bras it is the 30 band I prefer. I'm thinking that as I adjust to properly-fitting bras, I'll be able to fill out the cup all the way.

This is a really great everyday bra, and it is pretty and functional. It is a two part construction seamed balconette bra with light padding. It provides nipple coverage. The seams do not show as much as I thought they would, and they are unnoticeable under a patterned shirt. The seams are more apparent under light colored solid shirts.

The lace does not lay perfectly flat when a proper fit is achieved. I got out a needle and thread and hand tacked the lace down to my liking, however my picture on Bratabase is before I altered the lace.

The band is stretchy. It stretched an inch longer (33" on a 32 band) when I bought it new.

The cups are shallow and open on top. Good for shallow breasts, even breasts and full on top breasts, in my opinion.

My one complaint about Cleo and Panache bras is that the straps are not long enough to use a racerback clip, and may be problematic for someone with a long torso or low set breasts.

Pros: Very comfy band, comfy cups
Cons: Wire is too high up and digs into underarm. Too far apart.

This is the largest band I have received from Panache. It is way too big.

This bra actually fit me but I did not like it. I gave me a sad looking shape and didn't have enough lift. The lace on the top of the cup shows through clothes and doesn't make for a good t-shirt bra, even though it is advertised as such. The nude color is kind of gross and not quite the shade I am looking for.

  14. Karen (6881)

Let me tell you about the Karen. Wouldn't you know it, I'm wearing it right now! So, anyway. This is a bra that I searched high and low on the internet for in my "default" size (30G). At one point I found it on Nordstrom's website on sale, but then I didn't act quick enough and it slipped through my grasp. Imagine my delight, when I found the Karen at my local Nordstrom Rack on clearance for $22.

But! I compromised with a 32FF. So I feel like I should put a giant disclaimer on this review, because while it technically fits, it is on the tightest ... hook. Like, if I had my way, I would much rather have a 30 band. However, given the nature of the cups, I wonder if a 30G would have ended up stabbing me in the armpits. But I digress.

Let me start by saying I've tried a couple of other molded "plunge" models and this one may be by far the most comfortable. For example, take the Freya Deco -- while I love that bra, it goes slightly farther up in the armpits than the Karen. The Deco also smushes your boobs closer together and up, while the Karen seems to just lift them up but not necessarily smushed together. Not that there's anything wrong with that! It just means, given the cut of the bra, you can wear something that is more of a V-neck with the Deco than you can with the Karen. The Karen is good for necklines that are open or wide but that don't dip down too low. In general, I love the rounded, uplifted shape that the Karen gives my profile. It might look like I'm getting some quadboob action, but that's only if I contort enough while taking photos (but I'm working on that lol).

Of course, I love the star pattern. This is why I sought it out! The material is soft and but no means scratchy. To me, the band is firm for a 32, given that I prefer 30 bands. I do wish that the straps seemed a little less flimsy. I mean, maybe I'm used to .75 inch straps now, instead of the half inch straps here. Another thing is, if I had my way, I would design this model with three sets of hooks, instead of the two that this model (and every other Cleo model I've tried) has. Why the resistance to the three sets of hooks? :'(

Okay, I'm done waxing poetic about the Karen. I say if you have boobs like mine, get your hands on a Karen and try it out for yourself https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Ordered three sizes for comparison. Find other reviews here: 30FF (http://bra.pe/SmX/) and 32G (http://bra.pe/SmZ/).

This bra is available 28-38 D-G. Cleo's current season I find fitting more consistently true to G-cup in size than previously. See: Lucy SS12-Yellow 30G (http://bra.pe/R4D/) and Alexa 30G (http://bra.pe/R2w/).

My anticipated size 30G was out of stock so I decided to play with the sizing a bit and see if anything else might work well. Based on one review I thought instead of the cup fitting well that it might even be a bit larger so maybe one size down could work.

The 30FF band is nice and ... fitted but the cup is just a bit smaller and seems a true FF. 32FF is nearly a perfect bra save the fact I went straight away to the last hook. And based on all my research as well as personal experience Cleo bras are known for being stretchy. Sasha (http://bra.pe/S1A/) stretched out to the final hook in 6 months! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> 32G is of course too big in the band for me although the cup is okay if just a tiny bit wider than necessary. I wouldn't say it is uncomfortable. If it were made in a slightly smaller equivalent of say 30GG I would likely be hard-pressed to decide between a 30G and imaginary-30GG in this style. It covers more on top, for sure.

Side wings are actually quite low and remain a pretty perfect and comfortable height throughout all three bra sizes. Cups give a beautiful rounded shape on all three. Straps are the same exact width at 1.6cm. The only small difference I found between the three was the 30FF gore width is about .2cm wider, very negligible but worthy of pointing out.

Although highly likely to be too-small-in-the-cup I wish I could find a 30G and 28G ("sister" to 30FF) for comparison. I hope to find at least find a brand new 30G and hope it fits the best. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Super disappointed to find out from customer service that Figleaves only stocked 28 D-F and 30 D-FF totally missing out on 3 cup sizes! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Purchased & Returned early-May '12 from Figleaves. Measured unstretched.

This is a truly gorgeous bra. The background is white, and there is delicate embroidery in black, blue, and an orange-y red all over the cups. The center gore has a orange-y red bow in the center.

It's one of the most comfortable bras I've tried, but it's a hair too small for me and I get the dreaded quadboob. It's lightly padded, uplifting, and gives great cleavage, so I'm now looking for one in a 32G size and selling this one.

An attractive, comfortable balcony bra. The band and straps are quite stretchy. There is stretchy lace covering the bottom and top of the cup. The bottom of the cup has an extra layer of fabric, which feels supportive. As I expected the straps are placed too far apart for my narrow shoulders. The cups seem wide enough for my breasts (including armpit tissue) but I'm not filling out the top of the cup. The 6cm stretchy lace on top is super wrinkly and gaping - it appears to be about 1cm too big. I'm thinking about going down a cup, however I'm worried there will then not be enough width.
