Technically this bra fits. Unfortunately the fabric runs to high under my armpits and cuts in so it's not comfortable enough to wear. The straps also seem to dig in making it uncomfortable. It's too bad because I love the shape and weightless feel of the bra!
This bra is moulded so there is complete nipple coverage which I need and like. It is very supportive and lifting!!! I feel like this bra makes my breasts look huge though. That's not really what I'm looking for in a bra because I feel they are big enough already but I may decide to keep it just because it fits me well.
This is, so far, my best fitting bra. It holds everything in place and gives a nice rounded shape. I intend to order it in one size bigger to hopefully have the right cup size.
I'm normally FOB/even, but during that week before my period, my other balconettes are too snug. I bought Meg with hopes that this'll be roomy enough to deal with the swelling and counteract the digging I normally get I my upper cup elastic/band.
Meg fits marvelously everywhere but the top of the cup as anticipated, and overall, I fill it well with room to swell up. I tried on several shirts and the wrinkling wasn't noticeable in any. I think it fits well enough, despite what Baratabase says, especially for what I intended it for
The shape is perfect, the lift is good, and the material feels a little rough/stiff, but not so much that I can't wear it.
This bra is the first that fit correctly https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I was worried that with my bottom heavy breasts it wouldn't work but I was wrong! I even fill out the top.
I'm a gigantic Marcie fan; this fits very similarly through the bottom part of the cup (doesn't have the pronounced pushing-in effect of other stiff Marcie clones like Melissa), but is really open on top. REALLY open. The lace doesn't sit flat on me, but doesn't show under a top. I think the 32F would be too small through the bottom of the cup.
I'm going to try a cup size down in this because I am assymetrical and my smaller side is gapping quite a bit at the top. But I love, love, love it! Round shape, firm band, good projection, sturdy wires. And adorable print!
UPDATE: After finally giving the Lily a test run, some thoughts:
• The band is a *wee* bit too loose, but I've also lost a few pounds, resulting in a 0.5" smaller snug under. Nothing tragic. But I am wondering, given the other fit issues, if a 30G + extender wouldn't be a better fit.
• The moment I sat at my desk this morning, TRANSFORMER BEWBS kicked in, and the top of these cups EMPTIED. A combo of bad posture, tissue softness, and that slight shape mismatch. I think the alteration is worth trying.
• The wire was kinda pokey in my left armpit--but only the left. Since. lefty ...is the temperamental boob, I think it was me, not the bra.
• Wearing an unlined bra after 4 years of foam domes is WEIRD. I felt all jiggly. But know I'll appreciate the ventilation in the summer.
• Compared to the Ewa SM in the 75FF (which DOES fit, unlike the disastrous 70G), this gives me better bottom fullness but a less comfortable gore. The slight gape on top and wide-set straps are abut the same. Both keep my breasts nicely out of my armpits. Both put me between band sizes (sigh). I think, given my gore issues, the Ewa wins out by a hair. But I am giving a Panache Envy a whirl for comparison.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Well. Of all the unlined bras I've tried on since my brapiphany a little over 6 years ago, this is by far the best fit. Still, the gore is twisting because my breasts are fused at the top, and there's a wee bit of horizontal wrinkling at the top of the cup, which I think I could fix with a little sewing. (I believe I've seen this mod online.) I'm going to have to wear it around the house for a few hours to decide if I can stand the gore. If so, I'll sew.
I'm also getting a junior version of the mad ziggurat boob thing that the Ewa SM in 70G gave me, but it's barely noticeable--it only happens on a max inhale. This makes me think it was a distorted wires thing with the Ewa (those wires were 0.5 cm narrower than these, and the band was tighter). Overall, I think my soft, heavy boobs are just better off with lining, but come July and August, it'll be nice to have an option, ziggurat or no. Read more 298 more words
Wow-cakes on a plate! I like the open half-cup style. Smooth under shirts. It runs high under the arms, which is good for armpit boob, but can chafe if I'm having an active day. The wires run wide, which I love. I have a bit of a curved sternum, so I had to bend he wire tips outward at the gore. This is currently my best fit.
By far my favorite everyday bra. I love the fit, nice and high and everything pointed forward, but also very comfortable. The fabric could be a little more smooth but it isn't a big deal. The pattern and colors are a nice blend of youthful and classic, and I love that the underwires end about a half inch before the top of the wing, so they can barely be felt. Fits pretty true to size and the inward laying lace makes this great for full on bottom breasts. I would by three more if I could afford to so I would never have to live without this bra.
Beautiful bra. I got the Orange and light pink one. The mesh is soft and the seams don't irritate me.the cups are wide enough for me. The straps ride a bit into my underarms. The 32FF is distinctly too big in the cups, particularly the top embroidered portion. It's not just a little wrinkling, either. It stands away about half an inch. Ordered the 32f.
I have actually had this bra for about five months now, so I think I have given it a reasonable test drive. This is the Neon, which wasn't my first choice. It was supposed to be Malibu Blue, but Breakout Bras ran out of my size https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
My measurements for reference: snug 32, BTT 30.5, standing 38.5, leaning 41, lying 38. Pendulous, projected, narrowish short root, FOB/even. I have a lot of outside fullness, if that's a thing.
Band is snug but comfortable on loosest hooks, even after five months wear. Gore tacks as well as it can on my wonky ribcage. Wires are ...a little bit wide, but not enough to bother me. Cups just about perfect, no quadding, just a slight bit of wrinkling at the bottom. The side profile is ... spectacular. I have never in my life had boobs that perky!
So, it fits. But there are a few issues.
The wires have very little padding. I have funny rib flares which tend to make banded bras slide down in front and curl up, so bandless styles like Lucy tend to work better for me in terms of keeping the wires in place. But oh my goodness, I wouldn't mind a little more padding on those wires!
I also have a bit of that in-cup quad boob going on. Probably because my tissue is so soft. It's not bad and I don't wear clingy clothes much, so not a serious issue.
The bra is cute if somewhat garish in this colourway. I am not a personal fan of embroidered bras, but it's grown on me.
Before I found ABTF, I would have considered this a bra of unparalleled awesomeness, but of course now I know it's not perfect. However, it is pretty damn good.
This one is just a smidgen too big. I'm thinking most Panache styles must run small, so it isn't massively too big -- the lace at the top of the cup just sort of sticks up and there's a little bulge under the arms. As such, the shape isn't overly flattering but I've had worse.
is the cup width really 9.5 on this, or is that a typo?
coledarling Re-measured just to be sure, and it's actually 6in. I'm still getting the hang of all of this, so I'm a little iffy on how to do the measurements correctly. I think I've got the cup depth down now... time to redo all the others...
haha i thougt so! i was like, damn, thats a REALLY wide and shallow cup! and the 6 and 9 thing is something i mess up all the time. plus, wire measurements are supposed to be the inside of the wires, and not include the width of the wire channel themselves, which had be baffled for a while. bra measuring is a real science sometimes @_@
coledarling It was the inside thing that had me confused! But I'm glad you pointed it so I could provide (hopefully) correct info.
A couple weeks ago, this was gaping on me at the top of the cups. Now, I fit it, but the gore doesn't tack. Either this gore is just too tall for me, or I need to go up a cup.
My measurements for reference: snug 32, BTT 30.5, standing 38.5, leaning 41, lying 38. Pendulous, projected, narrowish short root, FOB/even. I have a lot of outside fullness.
This is one of those bras that initially seems like a decent fit. Right after I swoop and scoop, it looks good. After a short while, my jelly boobs are not so happy. The bra pulls my outer fullness in all right, but the upper lace is a bit too loose near the gore and just doesn't hug the girls the way they need to be hugged. Also, there is a definite in-cup quad boob going on, which ...does show under t-shirts. The gore tacks, but also digs into my sternum a bit.
The band was on the tight side at first, but wearable. After five months, it's still quite snug on the loosest setting.
The wires are a bit wide, but I think the shape of them is more of a problem for me. They hit me right on a rib flare and while not painful, it does get rather irritating after a while. I'm not sure if the wires are distorting because of the snug band. I tried it with an extender but it didn't enhance the comfort at all.
It's wearable but I don't think quite the right bra for me. I need something a bit more closed on top. If I tried it again (i.e. if it was on clearance), I might sister size up to 34F. Read more 141 more words
- Wrinkles and gaps at the top edge of the cup - Wrinkles and gaps at the outer tip of the cup, where my nipple is - Wires are too wide - Height and width of the gore combined tries to push my boobs too far apart
