This is a pretty bra with foam padding. It seems to put your breasts more towards the front.
The top of the bra doesn't cut into my breast tissue, but I do spill over the top, and this is far more noticeable in a shirt than with just the bra.
The band also feels a little loose, as though I would want to wear it on the second or possibly third hook. I feel like the bra "rides lower" on my body than other bras.
There is nothing uncomfortable about this bra (except it doesn't fit... but nothing pokes).
I plan to return this bra (it came in an order, I'm trying it on...)
Ordered this because I know to size up a cup from my 30G in Fantasie/Freya when going to Panache/Cleo/Harlequin, and they don't do GG cups in Cleo/Harlequin. Figured if it fit decently on the tightest hook I'd take it to my seamstress to take in the wings, because I just loved the print.
Unfortunately, there's absolutely no way for me to make this fit. The straps seem to want to be a good 2 inches farther to either side than my shoulders. When I drag them up onto my shoulders, the cup gets very odd, with spillage although there's no quad-boob effect. When I hold them out to the ...sides, where the line of the strap and cup naturally falls, the top edge of the padded segment cuts in a bit, while the lace can't be filled completely (most likely the latter is due to the fact that my breasts fail to continue out to the strap, i.e. past my body). The wires come up into my armpits more than I'd like, and I think they would chafe a bit if I could actually wear it.
Although the print is cute, it's just that: a print, and the fabric seems very thin and cheap. Whatever they used for it, it's a single layer in the back/wings, and I feel like it wouldn't be very supportive, and you could easily go down a band size if you wanted to own this. For me, this would mean I'd need a 28H (with any luck, the straps wouldn't be falling off my shoulders then), but although it does go down to a 28 band, it only goes up to a G cup.
I really want to love this bra because I need a good T-shirt bra right now, but this isn't quite the right fit for my boobs. Since I am a bit center-heavy, I have quadding towards the center top of the cups, and gapping towards the outer part of the cups right before the bra strap.
Have been looking for ABTF for about six months and this is the best one yet. Gives me a great shape, fully encapsulates everything, feels supportive including on the sides, and I feel like I could practically run in it. Because of the construction, I cannot diagnose WHY I like it, though, which is a real bummer, because I'm struggling to figure out why others do not feel comfortable, so I am unable to easily compare fit on this, with those. It actually looks like it's coming out of my IMF when I look in the mirror, but it does not feel out of place when wearing. I'm ...amazed that a 2-hook bra can feel this supportive. Now my big task is figuring out what other Cleo is constructed like this one (Marcie, maybe?) so I can buy more to try. My current understanding of my shape is very projected, narrow roots, fairly close-set, and I thought I might be FOT but not sure about that because of how much projection I need at the wire (I guess these things aren't mutually exclusive but I'm still so confused by how this stuff works).
One issue to be aware of: I had a hard time measuring the cup depth, again because of the construction with the two layers. I also have this in 32GG and the measurements were similar, and they also seem to line up with the few stats captured on other sizes, so I have to assume they're reasonably accurate, and I'm also hypothesizing that the large cup depth is why this model works for me. I don't have many to compare to, but this is a bigger cup than any of my others except for the cup-massive Panache Sport 5021 underwired. Read more 185 more words
I really wanted this one to work, but I think molded cups are not going to work for me in general. ABTF calculator says I'm 32 FF. I currently do not have a bra that fits or is even close, but I am determined to find one. I wasn't sure if this one didn't fit due to a size issue or a shape issue. I pretty sure it's a shape issue. I tried the Lexi in several sizes (for science) HerRoom did not have a 32FF so I tried 32G, 34F, 32GG, 32H. The GG and HH were way too big, but confirmed that I was having ...orange in a glass issues with the 32G and the 34F. The cup was much taller than I thought it would be, but my torso has short dimensions. I'm 5'5.5" but with many dresses I have to order petite sizes because the over the shoulder bit is much too long, or I have to have them tailored. I sent all the Lexi's back. It's not a bra that's going to work for me. I suspect that people who are very full on bottom will have trouble with this. The gore sat in the right place for my right breast, but sat on my left breast.
For reference I'm very full on bottom, inner full, projected, average root, short root height, separated by two fingers, pendulous with soft tissue. I also have had two lumpectomies so my right boob is noticeably smaller. I have a little empanada shaped insert that helps and am looking for bras that fit my left one. Read more 159 more words
This was one of the 8 bras I tried in my first Amazon Prime Wardrobe Box! (Sadly, 8/8 did NOT fit) For some reason, Amazon has this listed as a "moulded t-shirt bra" which it most certainly is not. So I guess if you are thinking of ordering from Amazon, keep in mind it's more of an unpadded balconnet! I ordered the teal color, which was so cute with the black piping along the top of the cup! The cups gaped at the top for me, which is typical for me with cups that don't have stretch lace on the top. I think I have to give up ever having anything other than stretchy lace on the tops; my soft tissue doesn't like tulle or a straight edge, apparently. The band for this particular style seems stretchy to me. It's comfortable, and would be a good lounging around the house bra, but I like a nice, firm band to make me feel more supported.
I really love this bra. The gore was the first thing I noticed - lying flat for once! Typically the balconette design doesn't work for me, as I am fuller on top and usually spill out. The little bit of lace here helps to smooth things out and overflow is much less of a problem. I still have very minor quadding and the band feels the slightest bit tight but I know that 32 is correct for me, so I think going up a cup size will balance things just right. The underwire extends into my underarm area a little more than I'd like, but it's not painful and this is the case with any bra that actually holds all of my breast tissue, so I'm happy to accept that. The overall quality feels and looks great, sturdy but not rigid, feminine without being too flashy for my taste.
I've been so convinced this shape would work that I've tried it in 4 sizes now. This is the closest fit. 30G (in Black/Pink) was too small in the cups and felt extremely tight in the band (even upside down) so I sized up in both dimensions. This one feels, if anything, a little too big. (It's possible that, in addition to the size difference, the Teal/Blue colorway runs larger than the Black/Pink.) I get wrinkling in the upper stretch lace, although only on my smaller breast. The cups are too wide, but that is always true for me and not really a problem. The wires don't dig into my armpits the way they do in some Cleo's in this size (like the Blake). The gore tacks amazingly, but is a little too high and digs in just a bit. That's the only point of discomfort.
This bra is DEFINITELY for the FOT/tall rooted ladies. I'm even height and full all-over (3/5-6 on the fullness chart) and I get some serious gaping which is visible under clothing, yet I also get some in-cup quadding. The straps are also a lot wider than I'm used to with Cleo, so I get some odd gaping between the strap and the wire - then, since the wires are fairly flexible, I get more of a nike-swoosh shaped wire which makes my tissue do all sorts of weird things. If the problem was only the gaping mesh cup I'd try and alter it, but all of this together is a bit of a dealbreaker for me.
The bra is reasonably pretty and comfortable otherwise though, although not the highest quality (I had some loose threads on the design on the mesh cup) - it's certainly projected enough!
This bra was so close to ABTF for me! It feels great with comfortable fabric, has decently narrow wires, the band was fine despite being my smaller sister size. The white strip at the top may cut into very FOT + tall rooted breasts, but it was just about okay for me (regular FOT + even root height).
There were just two dealbreakers for me on this one, there wasn't enough immediate projection in the cup for my fussy chest, so the wire happily slid 1-2cm down my chest in a matter of minutes, aided by the stretchy shoulder straps. Also the fabric is -just- transparent enough for my areolas to be visible, but enough to make me self-conscious about it.
Well, the cups are too big on me, but that's partly because it took me a long time to notice wrinkling in the bottom of cups. (A lot of bras do that on me; not enough immediate projection, then quad-boobing.) But also, my boobs have changed size a little (hormones) and now the cups are much too big. 32FFs in similar styles fit okay, as well as the Marcie/Lucy look ever really gets on me.
This is a fun, pretty bra! I find Marcie pretty comfortable, even though it doesn't give me the best shape (exacerbated in this bra, because the cups are too large).
Really excellent shape. I don't have enough upper fullness to totally get rid of the bit of gaping, but it's a great bra throughout my cycle as it accomodates a little extra room when needed. I don't worry about the gaping as it's not severe nor does it show through clothing. I notice there's also room for me towards the center, so I imagine this would be good for those with extra center fullness.
Tight-ish band that was wearable for my 29.5"-31.5" underbust, but fits better both in the band and in the cup with an extender. For that, I rated it lower in comfort, although it's not bad and actually really great with the help of the extender. I suspect the tight band is stretching the underwires wider for some folks, which was happening to me. Still could be a tad narrower, but not bad. Teeniest tiniest bit of in-cup quadding but barely perceptible, and it still fits fine on my less-full smaller days, and has a nice rounded look. Softens up very nicely with washing, and the top lace is lined with soft mesh to block textural friction, but someone with extreme sensory issues may still have a problem. I don't even like camo prints but this has got to be one of my favorite bras, designwise.
Moulded cups are usually not friends with my soft, slightly pendulous boobs. I just sort of ooze into the bottom of the cup, spill out at the gore, and leave empty gaps near the straps. This bra is no exception but fit the best of all the nude "tshirt bras" I tried, so I kept it because I needed it for an event where I wore a fitted dress with sheer panels near the shoulders.
I love this bright color combination. Fits, but I'm not in love with it; I'd call it 90% perfect. The underwire creaks when I move! (This has not gotten any better after a couple of wears and a wash.) Shape is lovely, but the wire length/wing height is just a TINY bit too much and so I wind up with a rubbed spot from the end of the underwire. (Same issue I have with the Panache Jasmine and Envy, but to a lesser degree than with those two.) If I didn't have bras that were 95-100% perfect, this would be a keeper.
