This bra does NOT fit. It’s actually a bit funny how much it doesn’t fit. The huge gapping I have at the top of the cups? Either because I sized up too much or not enough according to Breakout Bras recommendations. It really isn’t helped by how wide these straps are. They are basically in my armpits if I don’t pull them up and pretend they’re basically a racer back.

All that being said, I’m tempted to keep this bra and try to Frankenstein it to make it work. This is for several reasons: first, I don’t think I’m ever going to find a bra that actually tacks ... at the gore. I think it’s unrealistic in my cup size and with my boobs almost touching as I sit here braless writing a review. Second, I love bees and I think this is such a pretty bra. Third, my boyfriend said I have a “bee cup” and I nearly died laughing. I would love to be able to wear this bee cup regularly.

If I keep this, I will be altering it to move the straps in, likely adding a j hook in the back, and bringing in a bit of the top fullness when I reshape the angle on the sides. We shall see....

The bra is gorgerous. But those cups and straps fit insane. Like scaling gone wrong. I had no luck with comexim either in my size range (32K). If you order directly from Poland you can request a lot of alternations on the bra that they do for you. Good luck for your alternations!

    • 3

I love this bra but I hated it so much when I tried it, too! I must’ve sized up too much or something because it was so big that my boobs looked cross-eyed! 🤣

    • 1

Bee cup - that's funny XD

It's a suuuuper cute bra though - I completely understand you want to frankenstein it! (I've been very tempted to order but they ran out of my size, might be a good thing though considering how people are struggling with the fit of this particular model).

I wish they sold it directly through Comexim because with alterations it could be amazing!

    Hasn't set fit

Had been coveting this Wildcat for a while..
Got it in my BlackFriday 2020 order with a 70K Red Panter and 70K Yoko plunge that both fit well, but in this halfcup style I really do need to size up.

So, sadly, this bra is definitely too small for me, even though I'm quite tolerant of being a little 'smushed'.

    It's a lovely bra though:
Gold ribbon sewn over the straps, beautiful classic leopard print, nice firm materials used - and it's super supportive.

    I'm probably listing this one!
Would work great for someone who's just a size or 2 down from me and perhaps a little less projected?

Including the ... briefs (never worn, XL) that are not my favorite - asked for briefs in 'Princess' style (more of a tanga brief) instead of this standard Stringi style, that's too revealing in the bum area for me. The Red Panter and Yoko briefs did get done in the requested style, but the Wildcat sadly didn't.

    Contemplating whether to re-order a Wildcat through BreakOutBras, even though I do really need the straps moved in.. And have been wanting to try a Comexim with added depth at the wire. So might place a direct order from Comexim, as I do love this leopard bra. Then again, I don't NEED more bras.. And the Red Panter is a great scratch for my leopard itch as well (;

    Updated
My first polish bra and sadly didn’t work out. 75H - Comexim » Basic Plunge Bra (170)
    I usually wear 34F

Firstly thanks to everyone who provided feedback, it was immensely helpful!

After wearing a few times and washing, it really did soften up. It is now less pointy and gappy (see updated photos).

There is still some gapping at the top of the right cup which is my smaller boob. Gore doesn’t tack at the top but it doesn’t seem to be an issue. The band fits snug but it’s not uncomfortable.

I’m FOB center full and I think I have narrow short roots. I like the narrow gore (it came overlapped without requesting which works for me) and how light the bra’s materials are.

However, after wearing this a few times I realized that is cutting into tissue at the sides. Technically it shouldn’t be too narrow when comparing to my other bras so maybe it’s not projected enough. I have no idea lol but off to sale it goes.

I am about a 28FF/30F (up to 28G/30FF sometimes), and I have short roots. You look like you're quite projected with short roots, so I can understand why you get gaping - you need the size to accomodate the projection, but then the cups get too tall?

Feel free to look at my profile to see what works for me. Note that the bras with a picture of the bra on the profile do usually have boobs in bras pictures too (those are my sold ones). You may also want to check out Calluna too. She has taller roots than me, but you can compare how her bras fit too (hope you're ok with the tag, calluna?).

I personally prefer the Comexim 3HCs over the plunges. They are slightly wider and shallower (so they MAY be too shallow for your projection). They do squish my boobs a bit, which is ok with me because my boobs are soft and that doesn't bother me. They create a nice round look for me though, which I prefer over the pointier looks of plunges. They also give the illusion of me having upper boob tissue, which I don't. I've been wearing 60J in the 3HCs, which are actually a bit small at the moment (I get bubbling).

    • 1

Wilderness1 thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it! I do think I have short roots and substantial projection which has made it different to find ABTF! I will definitely check out your list of bras thank you for that :)
Interesting, I’ve heard mixed opinions about the 3HC some say it’s too open some say it works for short roots. I’m still going to try and see if the plunge softens up :/ maybe I’ll buy the 3HC I just don’t want another dud amongst my pile of bras lol. But I am also soft so it may work.
Ps calluna did give me some feedback too :)

    • 3

margesimpson if you get a Comexim 3HC from breakout bras you can return it, otherwise you could buy an unaltered 3hc from Comexim direct and return it if it doesn't fit (any alterations makes them unreturnable).

    • 1

Wilderness1 thank you for the info! I’m in Canada so it’s actually a lot cheaper to order directly from Comexim for me. Hope you don’t mind the extra questions :) Do I just email Comexim and ask for an exchange/return? Same with alterations? I’m assuming I would pay for the shipping costs. Thanks again for your help

    • 2

Yeah I’m good with the tagging. I shared my Hot Chocolate already. I do have taller roots and, I am higher set than you but, my upper fullness is still a bit shallow which does make me a bit short rooted functionally.

    • 2

margesimpson I've actually never returned with Comexim because I always get alterations, so I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else will know?
I live in Canada too, so I always order direct from Comexim. It's around 20-26 zloty if you get 1-2 bras. I think it goes up a bit if you get more bras/undies, but it's still super reasonable.
I pay with paypal and have signed up for their free return shipping program, so that I can return parcels for free (they reimburse you up to $30 per return 12 times a year). Just read the rules. Once you've done it, it's really straightforward to do.
Alterations are free, and I usually just put the alterations I would like in the comment box when I'm ordering (with a polish translation). I always put a note that says "I understand these will not be returnable", otherwise they have to email to confirm you understand that products with alterations cannot be returned.

    • 1

      Yo! Canada here too!

    • 1

Thank you fellow Canadians! I also use PayPal so I’ll look into signing up for free returns :) too bad I’m in a lockdown area and the post office is constantly crazy busy :/ may have to put this off for a bit...

    • 2

Thanks for the update, margesimpson . Good to hear this Basic Plunge is softening up. Interesting what Joanna said about moving the straps in. I hope that helps with the 3HC!

    Didn't fit

So I had a bit of extra money saved up and jumped the gun. I bought this during the flash sale that souxies kindly brought to our attention, instead of waiting till black friday. Thank you, souxies!

I ordered this bra in a 60K (I thought the mesh band would be stretchy) with the following alterations:

    -Made in 3HC

    -Wires from a 60J bra (13.5cm wide)

    -Overlapping gore

    -Straps moved in 2cm

    -3x4 Clasp

    -Panties made into a thong

Everything but the 3x4 clasp was done, this bra almost fits perfectly.

    My shape:

FOT when supported, super close set, center full, narrow and ... projected.

    Fit issues:

-It's super snug on the last hook since its a 3x3 clasp.
-There isn't enough projection at the wire for me, so it wrinkles and I quad very slightly.

I've only ever tried comexim's plunges and I fell in love with the super projected shape, this bra (or all comexim half cups) dosen't give that shape. It gives a very vertical and shallow shape, which I think looks weird under clothes. However, it does give me amazing cakes-on-a-plate. While, in my opinion, it's not the best looking under clothes, it's absolutely stunning on its own.  The blue and green "mermaid scales" are so freaking pretty that I don't even have words to describe their beauty. The flat bow goes perfectly with the "mermaid scale" appliqué pattern. I would definitely call this a sexy/ boudoir bra.

According to Joanna, I can have up to 1cm of depth added to the bottom of the cups, so I'll be doing that for my next 3HC order.

Glad you found something that (mostly) works great for you. For the longest time, when this bra came out in it's prior edition, I though the blue/green pattern was actual tassels or something. It took me a while to realize that it was the pattern on the material. I orderered a couple 60 bands too, and I'm crossing my fingers they aren't super short.

    • 2

Yessss - Yoko is SO gorgeous, I can't get over it as well. Love the mermaid vibes. Did you know they recently brought out the plunge version?

I'll probably order it if they do a Black friday sale (my old Yoko 3HC is almost completely worn out after 4 years).

Too bad they didn't do the 3x4 hooks!
Good to see a picture of the overlapping gore though. Like souxies recently asked, I was also wondering what it actually looked like.

    • 2

Wilderness1 I would rather buy a band that's too tight than too loose, you can always use an extender, but shortening the band is a pain. I wasn't aware the yoko had a prior version. What cut was it, if you know? I'm wishing you luck with your comexim order!

    • 2

bubblegum I saw the plunge version, but I didn't like the way they arranged the green and blue pattern. I'm so glad the gore was actually overlapped, it feels so much better!

    • 1

marilynne oh never mind, I just realized this is the "previous" version. I just noticed it on Comexim's "new" page recently, but I think the new one is the plunge. Both versions/cuts are really pretty either way.
I'd rather buy a band that is slightly too tight rather than loose too, but I just hope they're not 25-26" like my yellow bird was. Anything over 27-27.5 is fine for me, but 28-28.5 is best for comfort.

    • 2

My band comfort level is exactly the same, Wilderness1. It seems like the mesh bands (like the yoko) are stretchier than the fabric covered ones (like the yellow bird). So I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I order. I saw the plunge and decided I liked the pattern of the old one better, but they're both cute!

    • 3

Its lovely 😊 I also thought it was tassled so have not really considered this as an option.
I will add it to my basket in the hope of a black friday sale 😂 Thank you for sharing. Its very intersting to know they will add depth at the bottom of the cup. My beauty is fine but my puime notte lacks depth at the wire and creases slightly. I thought prehaps this was due to the puime being a plunge but as yours is a 3hc I will consider it an option for my next order, esp as I will be asking for everything in a 3hc.

    • 2

souxies I'm glad I helped you decide to buy this beauty, it's absolutely gorgeous! I've only tried this half cup and 2 plunges in comexim, but I found that the plunges had more depth at the wire than the yoko. I'm sorry to hear that your piume notte doesn't have enough depth at the wire for you. :(

    • 2

The piume is still a good comfortable fit and looks stunning, not such a huge problem with the depth. I will probably stick to 3hcs in future though. I did order a Mimi 2hc aswell but that is super shallow!

    Fits

This is the first bra I ever custom ordered from Comexim! I've been wearing it for half a year now, and it's wonderful. Definitely my best fitting bra. I'm very happy with it, especially for a decent price! It took over a month to arrive, but I'm not complaining, given the price and quality.

Cups: The cups are lightly padded and seamed in typical Comexim cut and sew fashion. The foam is much thinner and softer than typical molded foam cup bras, and in addition, the inside of the cups are lined with cotton. This gives it a particularly cool, soft feel that molds to your body. The ... outside of the cups are lined with a fine mesh. I'm FOB and it fits rather well - the top is not too open at all, which is often a problem for me. I have strong asymmetry so it's not perfect, but that's alright.

Band: The band, between the top and bottom elastic, is entirely mesh, so again, it's very cool in the summer. The elastic on the band is covered by the mesh, rather than contacting the skin directly, which I really appreciate as other bras with exposed elastic irritate my skin. The bra came with 4 columns of hooks even though I didn't request this modification, which was a nice bonus.

Straps: My straps are significantly different than the ones I've seen in pictures here and on the Comexim website. They're wider, thicker and lack a scalloped edge. Again, I didn't ask for this, but I'm super happy with the modification. Thick, velvety straps are much more comfortable and preferable to me! Also, they're fully adjustable.

Look under clothing: This is the lowest point about this bra. Unfortunately, as with a lot of seamed padded bras, the impressions of the seams appear under thin, clingy, solid knit fabric. Oh well. I just wear it with wovens, layers, or put a camisole over it.

  6. Cherry Plunge Bra (462)

First padded, seamed bra I've been able to actually try on. Initially didn't fit, but now that I've gained my COVID-19 weight, I'm very glad I kept it! It's the only bra I've got currently that is consistently comfy, despite breast size fluctuations across my cycle.

It's got quite a lot of projection (although I could use more at the bottom), and the width and length of the wires is practically perfect. Very comfy wide band, and the positioning of the straps mean they actually stay on my narrow shoulders (unlike all my beloved balconettes)! There's a bit of gapping at the top of the cups close to ... the gore, and the gore doesn't fully tack. I'm uncertain if this is due to the cup size being too large, the bottom of the cups being a bit too shallow, or perhaps the cup height being too tall. A half cup might be better for me than a plunge style. Over, not a perfect fit but it's good enough to be in heavy rotation right now. The beautiful color and lace is a definite plus.

  7. Patricia Half Cup

I'm low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

Another cute bra from Comexim! This one has been around for a long time, and I've always had my eye on it. After getting my 60J - Comexim » Scottie 3hc last year, I decided to add a green plaid to the mix this Christmas. It doesn't disappoint. I love it! Not only is it cute, but it's perfectly comfortable even after all day wear, and it fits perfectly. I get a nice round look with the illusion of upper fullness. Yes there is a hint of a bubble...but it's like I've said in other reviews, I prefer ... a slight bubble on my larger side instead of gaping on my smaller side.

The band is a perfect 60 in my opinion...not undersized as I've experienced before, and not overly stretchy. I could have stretched it beyond what I did, but it was starting to distort the wires. I never wear my bras to the point where the wires are bending anyways (I just add an extender if it's tight). Note that I did wear this bra a couple times before measuring (I don't usually do that but I didn't have time to input it first). Straps are wider than average and almost let out all the way on my tall/low set frame (could still go another inch or so).

This one has a different trim than the scottie. This one has a larger lace trim, whereas the scottie has a black thin trim. This Patricia cuts in a bit less (rounds in less) so it's probably better for upper fullness.

Overall superb quality, comfort, price, appearance, etc. I'll wear this one till it's dead ...(unless I randomly gain a whole bunch of weight rendering it unwearable, but let's be optimistic).

    My stats for reference:

5'3, 28G.5, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.

    Look:
Jesus christ is this bra gorgeous! The entire band, cradle and cups are covered in rich crimson satin like fabric and black lace. The photos do not do it justice. The photo that shows the color most accurately is my side profile. This bra screams "My rich husband died in mysterious circumstances". There is a large, but not pouty, bow on the gore that somehow looks sophisticated instead of childish. It gives a very "out there" and slightly pointed shape like most Comexim plunges. It dosen't pass the white t-shirt test, ... but who would expect it to?

    Fit:
This bra fits like a 28G.5, just like my Tosca, I'm super happy with it. The cups are narrow, projected and tall. Unlike the Tosca, the straps are long enough to accommodate someone taller or lower set than me. The gore is pretty low, and the wires seem firmer than is normal for Comexim. Overall, this was a "Bra Win" as Happy2BraShop would say.

so glad it worked out for you! "My rich husband died in mysterious circumstances" is a hilarious way to describe it.

    • GimpyBallerina Thanks for selling it to me! I'm always on the lookout for older comexim plunges thanks to you, it fits like an absolute dream!

    • 1

marilynne happy to! are the newer ones a different fit? I'm so out of the loop.

It's too bad a swap didn't work out! I'm trying a 60G Comexim Free Time and a 60E EM M Chaberek, hoping maybe they'll fit...

    • GimpyBallerina, girl you have no idea. They're a mess of short cups and no projection at the wire. I'm a 60J in this carmen and my tosca, but I need at least an L in the new plunges just to get a decent volume.

    • 1

marilynne omg nooooo!!! that's so disappointing to hear. I feel like the projection at the wire was a big part of what got them so popular in the first place. they were certainly the saving grace for me. damnnn 3 cups up? that's ridiculous. WHY, COMEXIM. WHY.

    • GimpyBallerina I know, right!? And their wires have gotten super wide. Take a look at my 60J scottie pictures, you'll see the difference between an old 60J and a new 60J. Literally their old plunges are the best fits I've found. I don't know what they did to the cut, but I'm awaiting @sherrach898's new cut vs old cut basic plunge review to find out once and for all, WTF? lol

    • marilynne THE NARROW WIRES WERE THE BEST PART WHAT WERE THEY THINKING. now makes me wonder if I should specify that my Basic is the old cut in my listing hahaha
will be very curious to see this review, please share when she posts!

    • GimpyBallerina
I know! Now I have to buy 3 cups up for volume, but it's also 3 wires up. So I end up with a mess. It's terrible. I'm just hoping enough people decide to sell their vintage Comexim's to keep me in bras forever. You should definitely mention it in the listing. If it had more than 9. Something inches of depth I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat. And it looks like your only polish listings are the mak and tropical garden at the moment. I'll definitely message you when she reviews.

      * sherrach898 I forgot you can't add an apostrophe to a tag. Lol.

    • 1

marilynne ugh good to know, thanks :( last I measured it I got 8.8" but I'll remeasure to make sure that's right (I noted a possible reduced cup, have to check old messages). The width is the exact same as all my other old Comexims though.

I listed it on reddit but have been too lazy to list most stuff on bratabase. Starting to catch up on that now, as you've seen haha

thank you! also just followed her

    • GimpyBallerina definitely repost on reddit, lots of people are going nuts for 28G-GG's right now.

Love this bra. This colors and the watercolor style I love. The silhouette under clothes is lifted. The cups are pretty stiff do it holds it's shape really well. Cleavage is great. It accommodates all of my center fullness. The underwires dig in to my ribs a little under the cups, but this is a common issue for me. I think my ribs are just much more flared than is average. I have long been resigned to the fact that any pretty details under the cups or on the band would be lost on me. As well as any longline that does not go long enough into my actual waist. Overall the best fitting bra I own.

This bra was a gift from Calluna, she was so sweet to offer it to me so I could try the style!

OMG! This bra is amazing! The band is nice and snug on the 4th row of hooks. With the extra row, the bra will last a very long time. The gore is a bit too wide and doesn't quite sit perfectly flat, but that's normal for me and not uncomfortable. The cups fit perfectly, I think. I'll be post a fit check to be certain of the fit. The wire width is great for me and the straps don't chafe my poor armpits! I'm so happy with this bra!

I’m so happy that it works and I think you’re getting your size narrowed down and finding what works. Comexim is likely to be having a Black Friday sale, so save up! :)

    • Calluna I definitely will! Thank you again! I've heard that you should go up 2 cups in half cups instead of 1, so if a 65HH plunge fits, would a 65J half cup work?

    • 1

      Yes. That’s correct.

  11. Basic Half Cup

Muuuch better! After squeezing into this bra in a 65J, I exchanged for this 65K and I’m so happy I did! It fits exactly how I need it to fit. I feel uplifted, but not shoved up into my neck like the smaller size. I get a great round shape that I love. The three part cup is well made with very basic, subtle adornment. The straps are very well spaced and the wires nice and narrow. I don’t get any digging in my armpits! That’s a win in my book. Backband is TTS with a 3x4 closure. Fits with the wonderful Comexim comfort right out of the box.

    60HH

    Didn't fit

I ordered this bra from Breakout Bras after reading a review that the band ran tight since I am running low on options for a returnable 26 band. It is a 28G/60HH, which is the recommended 2 sizes up from my usual UK size of 28F. The Piume Notte is an absolutely beautiful bra. I'm a sucker for the jewel tones, stained glass aesthetic, and fall colors in any season! I'm heartbroken that it was not a good fit.

The band was wonderful. In my last measurement, my snug ribcage is 24.8" and when fully inhaling, it is 29", yet this band was super comfortable . It is ... one of those mythical tight 28s that a 26-band can wear on the loosest hook, yet it is stretchy enough to offer no resistance when taking a deep breath. The band material is a strong feeling mesh that's cool and breathable. There are 4 columns of 2 hooks.

The gore was PERFECT. It came already overlapping and is literally the first one that does not sit on my close-set breast tissue, despite not being a super low plunge!

Unfortunately the straps were not great. They are fully adjustable and elastic, but the material is thinner and "sharper" (not sure how else to describe it - the edges fee sharp) than I prefer. I know I'm spoiled by those thick velvety Wacoal straps, and the straps on this bra would absolutely not have been a deal breaker if it otherwise fit.

Sadly the cups were the biggest problem. My bigger side fills up the cup completely but my smaller side has a gap at the top of the cup, though it's not visible under clothing. The shape doesn't seem quite right for me. My breasts feel kind of smashed flat by the bottom of the cup, rather than held up, while the apex is a bit too high for me. I have firm tissue and no matter how I hike up the bra, the boobs refuse to let it sit in my IMF and push the bra down, leaving 0.5" empty space at the bottom.

However, the 6.6" cups are WAY too tall on my frame. (I'm 5'0). The wire width is also a bit wide. Alone neither would be a deal breaker, but together they create a cup that cuts into my armpit like crazy. The outer cup edge is finished with this stiff scalloped trim that feels too sharp on the skin when I move my arms forward. Just from trying it on, it hurt, and I can't imagine walking or doing things in it. This is unfortunately the one issue that I can't ignore since it makes the bra too painful for day to day wear.

So sadly, this one will have to go back. I'm not sure what's next...

Sub 6 inch wire width in a 30:11! Sub 6 inch wire width in a 30:11! Sub 6 inch wire width in a 30:11!

This bra is probably one of my favorites I've ever owned. Wearing it brings me so much joy, but I know I have to hold back so I don't stretch it out too soon (though I'll certainly be buying another once that happens). As mentioned, there's the whole wire width thing. I measured the wires on this bra to be just a smidge under 6 inches wide, which is still just a teeny bit too wide for me, but it is ... the narrowest bra in this size I've ever owned.

If you look to your left, however, passengers, you'll see a huge gap between the bottom of my boob and the wire.

This isn't a problem per say, and I have this problem with all of my bras, but I think it's so pronounced on this bra because /everything/ is so narrow on this bra. I've inserted a picture showing how narrow the bottom of the wire is as well. My essentially flat-bottomed boobs won't fit into that. The gore is also really narrow on this bra (the wires overlap at the gore), which would be great for someone with close set boobs, but mine aren't. You can see in one of the pictures that gore kind of dips off to the side when I raise my arms--that's how much space there is.

The back band is an absolute dream though. When I was first putting this bra on I remember fastening the hooks and thinking, "This is really firm!" I've never had a bra that's band has fit me as well as this bra's does. It's essentially perfect on me. I stretched this bra's band to 29 inches and as of my last measurements had a 28.75 inch underbust.

Little nitpicks I would make to this bra would be raising and widening the gore and removing the little lacy bit under the band (these always roll up under my band and hurt!).

Yay high-five! Nothing like a bra that brings you comfort and joy!!! I love love love my Comexim basic, and other Comexim plunges. It’s the only style “padded” bra I buy now.

    • 1

Perhaps if you order another bra you could send a picture of you in this bra and ask for increased projection at the wire so that you can move the band up further on your torso. You might not need a higher gore then! Asking to have the straps moved in probably would help with the lateral straps. Have fun with your new bra!

    • Just an aside, have a look at Quixii pictures of the same bra in the same size shows a really good fit. No muffin top of breast tissue in the arm pit and the breast as a whole is supported in the cup and not folded back on itself like what we see in your photos. Not enough bra space where it is needed! Enjoy the process of improving bra fit and comfort!

  14. Belle De Nuit Padded Plunge

I recently got this gorgeous addition to my bra collection from AGBras . It’s such a beautiful bra my husband actually said “I really like that one” and he never comments on them. The outer fabric of the cup is a sheer mesh with a velvet floral pattern over a nude base cup. It’s your typical three part Comexim construction. Band is perfect for a 30 band and love the 3x4 hooks. Straps are fully adjustable and made of a comfortable wide elastic. Straps are perfectly spaced and doesn’t eat the hell out of my armpits which I’m so thankful for! It definitely gives me that boobs on display look, but oh so comfy!

    Didn't fit

Wow this is a cheerful neon bikini. I like the look of the tie at the gore.

This set is close, but not great on me. It has some of those aspects on me that we all dread when we go try on bathing suits. I think this largely comes down to it not being the right size for me.

The cup is a very classic Comexim shape, which I like. It seems 1 size too small on me, the bra not only wouldn't tack, but awkwardly sat obviously on breast tissue. It wasn't uncomfortable, but not a great look. To be clear, I want my bikini to ... create a great look https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />. These cups also seemed shallow at the wire. I felt like some breast tissue was escaping out the side.

The band is a true 60, stretching to barely over 28 inches. It was tight but wearable on me, and I think a tight band is good in a bikini, especially considering they can get a little looser when wet.

The straps... if worn as a regular bikini, I couldn't get close to tightening them short enough. Really way to long, not a normal problem for me. This bikini is made as a multi way. I crossed the straps in the back, which was fine for their length. Unfortunately, I then ended up with serious back fat squeezed around my shoulder blades. Overhanging the band, etc. I think this was a combination of tight band, too small cup (some boob sliding out the side I guess), crossed straps. I tried to get a picture, and it disappeared, and I didn't feel like shimmying back in to this. So you will have to trust me that it was NOT CUTE. I then tried on the strap as a halter. Voila back fat disappeared. But band looks a little weird across the back as you can see in pictures. And you would have to be OK with having the weight of your breasts across the back of your neck if they need a lot of support.

The bikini bottoms. I really like the 2 strap connectors at the side. It adds a special touch. You can see in the pictures that these cut in to my belly/ sides a little bit, which I don't prefer, and makes me self conscious, which is not conducive to wearing a bikini. You gotta own it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />. The funniest thing about these bottoms is that they are a size large. I usually wear medium, sometimes small. My hips are 37 inches at the widest point. So someone who needs a large would be very disappointed by these. I'm not sure if this was a random mistake size, or if the Hawaii bottoms in general run small. Laying flat these measure 14.5 inches across. Readonably stretched these go to 18 inches across. Stretched hard these go to 20.25.

brasaremean, these might be awesome long straps for you!

    • Wonderfully written review! Sorry the fit was less than ideal, but it does look great on you.

    • 1

Thanks MamaPagan for both compliments! Yes, this set was is cute, and almost perfect. The straps are the only thing that worries me about trying the next size up, which would resolve most issues.

    • 4

I'm trying to do reviews of all the swimsuits I have in my drawer from over the years in hopes that is will be helpful about brand styles even if not that older model, as people start thinking about spring break trips and the summer :)

    • veggiechic, do you know if they will move in straps on bikinis also?

    • I looked at their website, and the Hawaii top is shown with regular straps. DerangedDragons19 kindly sent this to me to see if the size worked. She may know about if the convertible straps were a custom request, and if they do other custom requests.

    • Sovavosi, I can say that I love the look comexim bikini's give, so if you are in the market I recommend going for it:)

    • veggiechic unfortunately, I don't know the answer to that question, as I bought it from Zathiya before Aisha closed her store :(
It's too bad it didn't work out for you!

    • 1

Ok, I will ask them and wait :)

I really just need any swimwear. I've tossed everything I had.

    • 1

      Good luck Sovavosi!

    • Love the print, very fun and summery! Sorry it's not a good fit. I like the way the bottoms look too with those straps on the sides. The strap on the back does look a little funky as a halter! It's weird they chose to finish it like that.

    • That's such a pretty print! Looks much better in your pictures than on the Comexim website :) Too bad about the fit

    • Thanks braluv and JulieCS ! It is so pretty that I am tempted to order directly from Comexim to go up in sie, and since their website shows standards straps.

    Didn't fit

I ordered the Elena as I was in desperate need of a nude t-shirt bra. I am a little too pale for Elena to work well for this purpose, I think I need to find a more peachy option. I have been eyeing the Sonia plunge on the Comexim sight for this purpose.

I was really pleasantly surprised with how Elena looks. From the existing bras on bratabase I was expecting a simple, nude, no-frills t-shirt bra. But girls - she's a beauty! The little black and white gingham bows on the straps and gore are adorable, and there is some nice nude lace detailing on the side ... of the bra. The material is not cotton (as I had expected) but a really lovely light, breathable power mesh. I think Elena got an upgrade!

I ordered Elena direct in a 60HH with a narrowed gore and the straps moved in 2cms. Compared to my unaltered 60HH, these customizations were made. Yay! Unlike some other Comexim 60 bands, Elena is TTS and feels very firm.

Sadly, even with the customizations, Elena is not a perfect fit. I think the bra is at least one size too small. I have noticeable quadding on both sides and the bottom of the cup is too shallow. I think need a 60J in this model. Sadly, Elena will have to find a new home on bratabase.

  18. Hot Chocolate Plunge

My shape: semi-conical, firm, splayed, narrow width, tall shallow roots, size and shape asymmetry on right side.

I haven’t bought from Comexim in about a year, because I was so disappointed in how my 60O Curacao turned out. Hot Chocolate is a standard plunge instead of an extra deep plunge like Curacao. I think they did a better job on this one, but it really showcases how inconsistent the brand is. I had asked for the straps to be moved in 2cm, the cup height to be lowered 1cm, and to add cotton cookie pockets. It does have the cookie pockets, and I think they did lower the cup ... height, as it 8” high. I cannot tell if the straps have been moved in, as I still have to angle them inwards. The stretched band measures 28.25”, which is surprising given how many folks have said they are making the bands longer. I really appreciate this.

I asked them to lower the cup height because my shallow, conical breasts do not fill out any cup top. In the photos, because of the wide straps, it still looks like the cups are too big. This is not the case. The cups are 12” deep, and I feel a bit compressed on my larger side. Depending on how I move my arms, the top of the cup will cut into me slightly. I have two cookies in on my smaller side to help with the top gaping. Lowering the cup height might have been a bit of a mistake, as bending over to pick things up leads me dangerously close to popping out of the cup top.

It’s often said around here that Comexim doesn’t know how to make small band, large cup bras. This bra fits better on me than the extra deep plunge cut, and the 3HC in the same size. I have to wonder if it has something to do with the height of the gore wires. They put too much fabric on the outside of the cup near the straps, and not enough in the middle to contain the breasts. It’s not the worst fit I’ve ever had from them, so I do think I will experiment again with another standard plunge.

It looks amazing on you! And I agree, I think the gores need to be higher and the fabric near the straps lower to help contain our larger breasts and not distort the wires as well since they are more flexing. If I order a padded from them again, that is what I'll try. I experienced that flop out in Beatrice, so it is entirely possible and not fun!!

    • 2

Gah, it's not only beautiful but also looks freaking gorgeous on you! That colour is so good, almost brown, but orange.

    • 2

I love it! Despite the minor issues, I think that it’s great! Agreed on the assessment. I really want to try a Comexim plunge. I have a second hand 60HH Victoria 3HC which is both a tiny bit tight in the band and in the cup (the eyelash lace hides it visually, but it is visible quad in a snug shirt). I *really* want to try a Hot Chocolate. That and a Honey Cookie 3HC. I’m just after bra sweets? Brings a new meaning to “sweet tits”! Ha ha! But I’m so afraid of ordering, especially after I think that I pissed off the customer service at Breakout Bras because I was smarter than them with Comexim sizing. Whoops. But I want the sale price for Honey Cookie and the 15% discount for the first order and an option to return. Sooo...

    • 1

Calluna, they have Honey Cookie also available as a plunge too. I really like that one too. They said they will make any bra as any style, so you can get the Hot Chocolate as a 3HC if you feel that the half cups work better for you.

    • 2

Oooh, that's gorgeous! I can't wait for my Hot Chocolate to arrive!

    • 2

This looks amazing on you! I just love the colour

    • 2

I think that I like Honey Cookie better as 3HC (at least the new ones with the scalloped lace), and I considered asking about the Hot Chocolate as a 3HC too, but I want to see how an original unaltered plunge fits first. I’m hoping to try one when I have some money again.

    • Sovavosi Is the base color black or brown? I was thinking how much I loved the look of Irish Coffee, and that if you took the base color of Hot Chocolate with the Honey Cookie lace over it, it would be like Irish Coffee.....That I would love to get, even with Comexim padded bras not really working for me!

    • 1

Dark brown. That's funny, I was just looking at an old photo of Irish Coffee. They are very similar!

    • 3

I almost got an Irish Coffee earlier this year, but it was altered and was afraid of it being too small. It definitely would be now, if not then. Comexim has really got some amazingly beautiful bras.

    • 2

It was one of my favorite Comexim bras. I loved the two tone browns, & was sad when it was discontinued, & I couldn't get it in a larger size. Know that I know the base of this one is brown, I think I'll ask about getting Honey Cookie with this base. :-D (Maybe I'll try it in a padded 3HC or 2HC, or just with a raised gore... ?) Darn temptations again!

    • 3

Calluna Comexim gives a great shape under a shirt. BMs are ok, but I really love the rounded shape of Comexim.

    • 1

Sovavosi I’m really itching to get more Comexim to try.

    • Do you order the same size in the plunge and 3HC, or do you size down in the plunge? Or because it is altered you keep the same size?

    • 1

Calluna I think it depends on the person, but would imagine it to more like Ewa PL vs CHP? So most (or at least some :-D) size down in the CHP due to the more open top, while sizing up in the PL. From what I've read, the 2HC & 3HC fit differently from each other, and the Plunge different from those. I believe the Half cups are more shallow on bottom with Comexim, but this can vary greatly by size, so looking within the ones entered here on BtB within your range would be ideal to know those aspects.

    • 1

Calluna I got the same size because my breasts are short. Most people size up in the 3HC, I believe due to the cups being shorter. I have never tried the 2HC so not sure how that one compares to the others.

    • 2

Interesting...... My theories are shot on this one I guess! I would still suggest checking the fit in the target range for other members first though since scaling isn't always equal. Would you agree Sovavosi?

    • 2

I should add that the size up on half cup advice came from Reddit, Breakout Bras, and I think Aisha. The 60N half cups and plunges I measured all had the same depth, so I really do believe they tell people to size up because the cups on the half cups will be too short. It’s also impossible to tell from the photos if the cups are open or closed. I know that Belen is very open and small in the cup 🙃

    • 2

Yes, understood. Comexim stock photos are horrible in my opinion. Give me some model variety and more angles please! I wish they would take some lead from Ewa in that department for sure.
Side note: I miss Aisha and Zathiya.... :-(

    • 2

Seriously in their photos all bras look extremely shallow

    • brasaremean From my experience, the padded 3HC are more shallow than the plunges. I had one unpadded 3HC and that one was pretty projected, but I'm not sure if that was a fluke or because it was made for Zathiya and she specified it should be that way. From the reviews I've read, the unpadded styles from Comexim are the most shallow.

    • 1

Their unpadded plunges are less projected than their padded from my experience so I agree with that one Sovavosi.

    • See, Breakout Bras said to order a size smaller in the plunge from the 3HC. And a blog where the author is similar size and shape to me said that the plunge didn’t have as much immediate depth as the 3HC. There is a lovely 65HH plunge in the listings that I am not sure will fit...I’m worried that it’s too deep/big. So I’m really unsure.

    • 1

Calluna I’d love to know the root height and fullness of the folks who say to do that. That advice seems too specific to certain shapes, and you’d just have to experiment to be sure. Maybe Jaimie at Bra Obsessed might have some in your size in stock?

    • 1

      Hahaha Sovavosi! So wonderfully written.

@Calluna Breakout Bras isn't the best for understanding the differences throughout the sizes, as you already know. Their generalized "go up two cup sizes from your UK size" is such a misconception, as the difference in a 30D vs a 40P would be drastically different, and the same rules would not apply. So take their advice with a grain of salt and do your normal wonderful research to get a better idea.

The 65HH listed, does the owner have other bras that fit at the time to compare to your size? If not, maybe you could ask them about the fit vs other styles or brands?

    • 1

My experience is the same Sovavosi, on 90Ms.

    • 2

Thanks. I will give Jamie a message, but I know that she is busy right now and I’m going to have to save up some money again. I think BoB suggested the size smaller in the plunge due to the higher cups. But obviously shape characteristics are important to the fit, as well as how it is sized and scaled.

I can certainly message the seller and ask her questions about it and the fit. Probably a good idea.

    • 1

Calluna If it's the one I think it is (added to BtB in 2015), I would also suggest asking for updated measurements as well. It may be in a "well loved" state at that age, and not ideal for trying the style for the first time. Plus, at the asking price, you could actually get a new one from Comexim direct for the same amount, so unless the included matching panties are an appealing addition, that one may not be your best option. (Again, assuming it's the one I seen listed.)

Maybe an open adventure post asking for experience with the two styles in a given range may answer your questions/concerns more completely? That's always worked well in the past, especially since not all members add every bra to the database (*sigh* in sadness), so there may be more out there than is shown, including the possibility of others with some to share in your range even. :-) It's just a thought though!

    • 2

Yes, I was actually thinking along the lines of actually being able to try one new for not much more, and you’re probably looking at the one I am. A fit adventure is probably not a bad idea, actually.

    • 1

This bikini is a slice of tropical paradise. The colors are so fun and bright, and the fabric has a bit of a sheen to it. The fit is a great Comexim fit, creating a wonderful profile. I feel like I look like I haven't breastfed 3 children, haha!

I think this is a swimsuit that is worth going down in the band. I suspect that due to the nature of swimsuit material the band is a bit stretchy. It feels fine and comfortable, but I think that I would personally like a snugger fit for swimwear, especially as I am active in the pool with my ... children. There is just one swimsuit style hook on the back, so you cannot adjust for a tighter or looser fit. This swimsuit is still great, but if I ordered a new one I would go with a tighter band. I have found that I prefer a 60 band to a 65 in Comexim, but this bikini feels stretchier than Comexim bras in 65.

The bottoms are very cute too. They are so flattering. They have strings on the side, so you can adjust the fit and assure you dont have unwanted bulges from bottoms cutting in. I wondered when I looked on the website if they would be too full coverage, or go up too high on my belly. They are in fact perfect. Classic great looking bikini. A little cheeky, but not skimpy. I love them!

    • The colors are cool. Looks very cute on you!

I always wondered why they use these stupid nonadjustable hooks on swimwear.

    • This is so much more beautiful than the Comexim photos! Looks gorgeous on you!

Love to my fairy bramother MamaPagan for making me feel like a princess at the pool

    • Looks great on you! You might be able to shorten the band easily on this one. It should be easier than with a bra, just undo the seam slide the connector further in and resew maybe? (Optimism! ! :-D)

    • Oh man, that looks awesome on you! It looks wayyy better than the website pictures, hahah! Congrats!
I must say I am JEALOUS!! LOL I have yet to find my bikini bliss :(

This bra is very pretty and delicate looking. It's colors are light enough that I can wear it under light colored shirts, and it does not show through.

This band is nice and firm for me, I tend to wear 30 bands more frequently than 28, so I was happy to find this comfortable. The cups fit quite nicely. I get a nice lifted and round shape, as is expected with Comexim. I am not quadding in this cup, but the gore is also not quite tacking. I would be interested to try one cup size up to see if it would tack.
