  1. Pearl Flower Mint Plunge Bra (390)

    60H

    Fits

** This is a customized bra! The only non-standard measurements are CUP HEIGHT and GORE HEIGHT. **

This is my second round of customizations with Comexim. My main concerns have been around lowering the cup height and cutting the outer cup at a steeper angle so that the straps can be moved in. I emailed Joanna several times to discuss how to do this and showed her pictures of what I wanted, and she told me to request the below customizations:

Pearl Flower Mint 60H: Please keep as Plunge
    - Wire size: normal for 60H, 21.5-22 cm before gore height reduction
    - Cup depth: normal for 60H, total 20 ... cm
    - Cup height: Reduce 1 cm, total height 14 cm
    - Gore: Reduce 1 cm to keep original cup shape
    - Outer cup length/strap attachment area: total length 6 cm, same as 60G
** Final bra should be the same wires and cup depth as normal 60H, same cup height and strap placement as 60G

However, while the cup shape and height are now perfect (note: if you want to maintain the same shape, make sure to lower the gore the same amount as you lower the cup height, otherwise your bra will end up kind of straight across), the issue of the outer cup length and strap attachment still hasn't been addressed. The strap placement is identical to my unaltered 60H Ingrid Plunge. Therefore, it's still sitting a little too far apart with the sides of the cups chafing a bit under the arms. I am asking Joanna once again the best way to request this change as last time I simply asked to "move straps in 1 cm" but the angle of the outer cup edge didn't change.

This comfort issue aside, the rest of the bra is awesome. The band is TTS and fits perfectly. Like Ingrid, Pearl Flower Mint has a printed mesh outer layer and a stretch tricot inner layer for the wings. The cups are much better for my proportions with the slightly reduced height--it's amazing how much difference 1 cm can make. The volume and shape of the standard 60H Plunge always worked for me, so the cups fit me as expected. They are made from soft green mesh printed with a white vine and soft floral pattern, which is just lovely. The upper cup is trimmed with simple mint green lace, and are lined with white cotton. The straps are seafoam with an interesting shiny texture, and there are satin ribbons at the strap attachments and center gore, as well as a silver C charm.

Pearl Flower Mint is a sweet and lovely summer bra with a slightly unusual color combination, and I am very pleased to finally add it to my collection! If only we could figure out the cut of the outer cup and strap placement, I would be happy wearing nothing but Comexim altered Plunges. While I also ordered a custom 3HC that worked out pretty well, I think that the Plunge is the better fit for me as it gives a more rounded and lifted shape.

  2. Ingrid Half Cup

    60H

    Fits

** This is a customized bra! The only non-standard measurements are CUP HEIGHT and GORE HEIGHT. DEPTH was requested but seems to measure as standard. **

This is my second round of customizations with Comexim and third attempt with making the 3HC cut work for me. My main concerns have been around lowering the cup height and increasing the cup depth, as the standard 3HC is too tall but too shallow at the same time. I decided to try this in the Ingrid since I think it is one of the most stable and classic Comexim styles and the mesh fabric would give a better ... idea of the fit than the thicker satin used on styles like the Basic. I emailed Joanna several times to discuss how to do this and showed her pictures of what I wanted, and she told me to request the below customizations:

Ingrid 60H: Please make 3HC, not Plunge
    - Wire size: normal for 60H, 21.5-22 cm before gore height reduction
    - Cup depth: increase 1 cm, total 20 cm (same depth as 60H Plunge)
    - Cup height: Reduce 1.5 cm, total height 12 cm
    - Gore: Reduce 1.5 cm to keep original cup shape
    - Outer cup length/strap attachment area: total length 6 cm, same as 60G
    * Final bra should be same wires as 60H, slightly deeper and shorter cups, strap placement like 60G

The resulting bra I received is pretty good, though the measurements didn't turn out exactly as I asked for. The cup depth came in at 19.5 cm instead of 20 as I requested, as I can feel that the cups are still a bit shallow. The cup height also came in at 12.5 cm, so it was reduced only 1 cm instead of 1.5 cm, and gore height reduced 1.2 cm instead of 1.5 cm. So, the cups are still a little taller and shallower than what I asked for, but overall it fits quite well.

However, like I wrote in my review of the Pearl Flower Mint, the outer cup angle and strap attachment were still not what I had asked for, which was to match the angle of the 60G. Still, because these cups are shorter and shallower than the Plunge, the straps end up naturally being placed about .5 cm further in, and I didn't notice any uncomfortable chafing from the strap placement though I would've preferred them a bit closer set.

My only issue with the fit is that the 3HC still seems to give me a bit of a flattened shape. The Freya Patsy/Summer Haze 3HC gives me a rounder shape, so I think this cut just isn't really suited for my body. I think there might be a bit too much projection at the wire so it doesn't have enough of a lifting effect, and the shallow center of the cup ends up pushing tissue both upwards and downwards in the cup. I might try it one more time with the correct cup depth, but the altered Plunge is definitely my preferred cut.

The band fits perfectly and is TTS. Like Pearl Flower Mint, the band is made from double layer printed mesh and lined with stretch tricot. The cups are also covered in printed mesh. I still love the antique rose aesthetic of Ingrid even though warm tones aren't usually my thing, as the colors are dusty enough to not read overly autumnal. The trims on my Ingrid 3HC are almost identical to my Ingrid Plunge, with lace at the upper cup and russet colored ribbon bows at the center gore and strap attachment, but this time I received a different elastic. The straps on this bra are satin-textured with picot edges rather than the simple diamond-edged elastic I received on my first Ingrid. It looks like Comexim routinely mixes and matches available trims across multiple bra styles, so you may expect some variations in elastic and lace.

If you're just experimenting with Comexim alterations, Ingrid is a great place to start to explore all their fits! Such a classic!

This bra is roughly the same as UK 30E. It’s a cup size too small for me right now but if it wasn’t, it would be about the right shape for me (narrow/tall roots, above average projection, full on bottom, close set).

This bra is gorgeous, seriously gorgeous, though unfortunately a bit of a shape mismatch for me. The cups are much wider and shallower than Comexim usually is, which apparently used to be common in their longline bras. The lack of projection at the wire prevents this from fitting me quite right, though for now I can’t quite bring myself to part with it.

A beautiful bra. It is very comfortable, despite the fit not being quite right. The fabric and straps are soft and comfortable. The wires aren't painfully hard. My one complaint is the edges of the nursing clips dig into me sometimes and cause irritation as they stick out a little from the straps.

  8. Ginger Plunge Bra (365)

This was my first attempt to order from Comexim with alterations: I asked to shorten and widen the gore by 2cm and to add cookie pockets. On the downside, it arrived without any alterations at all, so instead of the soft fabric lining used for cookie pockets it’s bare seams inside. On the plus side, my shape ended up changing within the next six months anyway, so the tall narrow gore worked out in my favor. The straps are also really cute and high quality, it’s a beautiful bra with blush lace overlay and is probably the most feminine thing I own.

This bra runs large in the cup relative to Comexim’s Plunges and 3HCs. When my best-fitting bra was a Comexim 3HC in 70G, this 70F was still a little big, and now that I have outgrown the 70G 3HC this 70F finally fits.

The fabric is super soft and springy feeling, comfortable on the skin. The foam feels sturdy but not thick. Nice, round shape. This bra does not work for me, I'm center full and so I think it fits well at the outside of the cups but I spill out and quad in the center.

My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, semi soft tissue.

Beautiful bra, but disappointed at how small this band is. Unstretched it is around 21.5" which is very very small for a 30' band. It’s similar to another bra I recently tried from Comexim (http://bra.pe/X3A0/ ). It doesn't stretch much beyond this, so I'd this bra is more suitable for a 26" band size. The band has a double layer of mesh I believe, and the inside portion feels like the fabric is very study, so maybe this is why it doesn’t stretch much.

The light pink fabric and ... leaf print on this bra are beautiful, it’s more of a cool toned pink and gray, and goes along well with the gray straps. The gore is slim and this bra gives off a great shape otherwise. It is not as round and in your face like the CHP/3HC cut they have, it is more natural, but still feels lifted. When I add an extender, the cup seems to fit, might be a tad big/tall on the outside, but honestly, I sometimes have trouble assessing how the bra "could fit" when they're super tight since it can distort the cup fit so much.

I’m hesitant to exchange this for another size, I might just end up returning it (this was already an exchange from my previous order). I guess I'm having some bad luck with Comexim bras this time!

We are the same shape and possibly even same size! I am between 65HH and 65H in Comexim and your shape description sounds very close to mine. I am a bit wider rather than narrow rooted though and I think I have average projection.

I own this Jasmine in one cup size up in the same band https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn7oh/ and the band stretches up to 29 at least, comfortably. I also own the Adele at your size 65H https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn7o8/ which is a similar fabric and cut and the band is VERY stretchy, stretches to at least 30. I'm perplexed that your band doesn't stretch much though. With Comexim being handmade, it's possible there are slight variations, but I'm very new to the brand!

    • Oh nice! I’m going to check outsource review of the Adele! I think it’s a beautiful bra! Comexim is always hit and miss for me in terms of the band sizing, the cups sizes seem to be more consistent in my experience. I like to order from Breakout Bras because they have good customer service for exchanges/returns, but the original Comexim website has a lot more styles to choose from.

If you’re FOB you might like the half cup style! It really sort of pushes you up and gives a nice round profile! ☺️ I just purchased a black one that I need to review and add measurements for, but the fit is wonderful on that one.

    • aogg Tagging you here because I forgot in my reply to your comment above!

    • braluv thanks for the tag! I love the Adele! It's my favorite Comexim so far, also because it's the best fit. I didn't think I would love the pattern/coloring so much until I tried it on. It's very fun and striking!

You're the 2nd person in recent week to tell me I should try the Comexim half cups! Incidentally I am in love with the Ewa CHPs, I just posted an adventure on this. They are a bit more immediately projected so I sized down for it.

I do have a custom Eris in 3HC coming from Poland so I'm looking forward to it! I'm the meantime I'm debating whether to get the unlined Onyks from Breakout Bras!

    • Oh btw braluv did you end up returning it? I have the 65HH and it's too big for me so I'm looking for the 65H.

I haven’t had a longline in a while and wanted to try them again. I haven’t had much luck with Comexim as they seem shallow on the bottom for me but I desperately needed some new bras. This is slightly big in the cups for me and I wish the fabric on the longline was a bit stiffer. I also wish they had put three sets of eyes instead of just two. I do like the wider straps. I’ll keep it and hope it fits in the future.

This is a great bra for my narrow/tall roots, even, center full, projected boobs. The wires sit right in my IMF with smidge extra space on the sides, but it's still comfortable so that doesn't bother me.

It gives a gentler shape than my half cup in 60H or my plunges, but it's still a lifted shape. It's invisible under everything. Overall, it is a beautiful, high-quality bra.

Edit (10 months later): I've since lost weight, plus wear caused the band to stretch out a bit, so this bra doesn't fit anymore.

  14. Basic Plunge Bra (170)

This is a great bra for my narrow/tall roots, even, center full, projected boobs. The wires sit right in my IMF with no extra space even on the sides. The only fit issue I've noticed so far is the band - it's a little stretchy for a 60 (though it's nude, so maybe that's to be expected). I wear it on the second of the four hooks, which isn't great, but isn't terrible, since there are four hooks.

It gives a pointier shape than my Belle De Nuit and Celebration Comexim plunges, but not excessively so. It's invisible under everything except very thin, tight shirts (on those, the vertical seam shows). Overall, it is a beautiful, high-quality bra.

This bra is absolutely /gorgeous/ -- my one gripe is that the cups feel a touch too tall on me, despite (to the best of my recollection) not being too much taller than many of my other Comexim bras. Even with slightly-too-tall cups, this bra is incredibly comfortable (and sooooo so pretty, my goodness).

ETA after wearing this bra for about a month, I think that instead of the cups being tall, it's just more open at the top than my other Comexims. Still gonna wear it though, it doesn't bug me all that much.

For reference, I am projected, FOB, center full, narrow roots, and petite (4'11"). I purchased this bra through Breakout Bras, because I wanted to see if 28G would be a better fit since my Andromeda in 28FF was causing a bit of quadding. I initially wanted to try Andromeda in 28G, but it was backordered for 4 weeks. After emailing Stephanie from Breakout Bras, I decided to order the Piume Blu in 28G to test the size, since she mentioned it's similar to Andromeda.

As a lady who LOVES blue, this might be one of the most beautiful bras I've ever seen. Which is a problem because I had ... ordered this bra only to test the size and then return, and I told myself I would not be keeping it. That went out the window once I set eyes on this beauty. The bra has rich navy, royal blue, silver, and black diamond designs, and I absolutely love the royal blue bow accents. Fortunately for my wallet (and unfortunately for my increasing bra addiction), the cups are too large for me. The projection at the bottom is great for me, but the top of the cups gape like crazy especially on my smaller side.

The straps are placed too wide for my shoulders and the cups are a bit too tall, but I expected this in an unaltered Comexim. Something I have noticed about Comexim bras from Breakout Bras is that the cups and wings sit lower compared to my other Comexims. The cup sides of this bra and my Andromeda don't ride up into my armpits, and the wires do not bother me at all. The band is firm and true to size for a 60 band. This bra has an overlapping gore and 4x2 rows of hooks. I'm not sure if this is how it comes or if Breakout Bras also occasionally receives variations in bras from Comexim.

I'm sending this one back, but I did notice that 28FF is in stock...Someone please talk me out of it!

    • I’m confused. Your review says 28G but the size at the top says 28GG and the pictures say 75HH which is definitely not a 28 band.

Glad you like though. It’s a beautiful style. I love Comexim.

    • Calluna Yes, I've been trying to fix it for the past 10 minutes! I'm unsure why it keeps converting the sizes. I've been trying to mark it as "one size, 28G" but it keeps putting in a French size.

For reference, I am projected, FOB, center full, narrow roots, and petite (4'11"). I purchased this bra through Breakout Bras on sale during July 4th, so it's labeled as a 28FF. As per "Melissa's comments" in the item description, I only sized up one cup instead of two, since I lack upper fullness (normal size UK 28F). The fabric is soft and smooth with marble colors of blue, gray, and pink.

Unfortunately, the fit is a little small. I get some slight quadding on my larger side, but it fits my smaller side well. I also feel like the slightly small cups compress my my breasts into my ... chest rather than lifting them up front like I'm used to in my other Comexim bras. I contacted Breakout Bras to ask if I should size up to 28G. She suggested I stick with the 28FF, since 28G might have too much volume in the top of the cups for me.

The band only stretches to about 66cm/26in, but it's somehow still extremely comfortable. My snug underbust measurement is 27in and tight underbust is 25.5in, so that's probably why the band doesn't bother me too much. Compared to my Panache Cari band (64cm/25in stretched), this bra feels like a wonderful boob hug. The wires overlap at the gore and are very soft even compared to my other Comexim bras, and I love how comfortable they feel. They also don't cut into my armpit compared to my Comexim Ingrid, but the wire lengths in both bras measure 22cm, so I'm unsure why that is (not complaining though, my armpits have never been happier). This is my third Comexim bra, and I think I'm getting closer to solidifying the right size for me. 60HH is probably my best bet with no alterations, but I'll be needing straps moved in and cups lowered for sure so maybe 60J with alterations.

Very cute details! This bra is nice mix of comfy and cute! The color isn't crazy and could be worn under many shirts.
I got this bra used from another bratabase user. The lace is slightly worn in some areas and the band is either stretched out or just too loose. If I pull the band tight and scoop, the gore will sit flat but I get quadding on my larger side. Without pulling the band tight, it rides up and the gore does not tack at all. The material lining the inside of the cups is comfy.
