I ordered a Comexim Basic in Beige with custom straps with added length, since I often times have trouble with straps not adjusting long enough for me. I went with a 70HH. I have one other comexim that is a 70J, that is just a teeny bit too large in the cups. I was very impressed with the customer service, and how quickly I recieved the bra. I had heard that it could take upwards of a month from when the order was placed. I placed my order on Sept 10, and recieved it Sept 26! (I live in the US)
The bra is beautiful, and very well ...constructed. Others have reported the material to be scratchy, but actually find it incredibly soft. The seems aren't very noticeable under clothes, so I think it will be a great every day bra. From other bratabase users' photos it looked like the material might be really shiny, but in real life it's just a subtle sheen.
So onto the fit: I am typically a 30GG or 32G in UK brands, though I tend to be on the larger end of those sizes in the cup. I have a 70J blue magic that was a teeny bit too big, but the 70HH basic is just a little too small in the cups. I don't get quadboob, but the boobage tries to escape a bit out of the sides (a problem I don't have with the 70J). I am pretty happy with both sizes. The wires are narrow, and are very close to sitting on breast tissue for me. I don't think I could go any narrower. I like them as is though. The straps are really stretchy, which I don't think is the best for support, but they definitely adjust long enough for me which is great! The band is perfect for me. (My snug underbust is 30.5", I often prefer sizing up to a 32 band). It feels a bit tighter than a true 32 band, but not quite as snug as a 30. The cups give a really uplifted look, very front and center. The shape isn't as round as Ewa Michalak or the freya deco. It's more natural, but definitley not pointy. Oh yea..this is the only bra that gives even better, more natural cleavage than the deco.
Overall, this bra is beautiful, comfy and functional for everyday life. I was really impressed with Comexim's turnaround time. The price was good too ($45 including shipping). I definitely recommend this bra and company https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 321 more words
My first impression of this bra was OH MY GOSH it is lovely and it is huge! I definitely overshot my size, moreso in this than the other bra. It is well constructed, and the band is firm so even though it was too big it didn’t really ride up. It’s so big on me that I can’t really evaluate what shape it gives. The wires are really narrow, and it’s awesome! All my other bras seem to want to shove my boobs under my armpits, but the Comexim encircle all my tissue and end where they should. I highly recommend this if you find yourself bothered by ...too-wide underwires in most brands. The appearance of this bra is just unmatched in my opinion. I don’t mind softcup bras as much as some, but this made me realize how much I missed lightly lined/padded cups. I can’t wait to get this in the right size. How it works with my shape: Being FOB means I need to size down a little bit. The plunge is great for being close-set. Nothing stabs or pokes. In the right size, this has potential to be a Holy Grail bra. Read more 86 more words
I totally agree! This evening I just got my order from Comexim. Unfortunately, I also ordered one size too big, but the bras are both (also ordered the Jasmine bra) extremely comfortable! I will exchange them for a smaller cup size. For me, the 60 band is also a bit too wide in this bra. The Jasmine bra is more snug in the band and actually also less big in the cups. To me though, I think Comexim might win the challenge with EM.
This is the first plunge style I have ordered from Comexim, all of my other bras are Comexim half cups. The wire width, narrow cups, and projection are just as good as the half cups, and I really like it. It gives the girls a nice shape. My only complaint is that it does rub me a little in my armpits, but not as much as other brands I have tried. I'm wondering if that will improve with time, since my other seamed bra from Comexim did the same thing until I broke it in a little bit. I do think that it's a little plain for my taste, but it's nice to have a basic nude color bra. I'm pretty pale, and it matches my skin tone well. The bows and pearl detail on the gore helps add to the look.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that every redhead should own an Ingrid.
That being said, I wish this fit better. Putting aside that I need a 75 (extenders exist!), this is too wide and shallow for me, and maybe a touch small in the cup. Totally wearable, and the materials are super comfy. But the fabled Comexim narrow/deep cups seem to be a thing of the past. If it were bigger (75HH?), I'm guessing it would be too closed on top. I'm still unsure whether or not a custom Comexim is worth the time and effort.
I ordered this Ingrid from Breakout Bras; the size on the tag only indicates 32G, as an FYI. The Breakout Bra website recommends sizing up one cup size in this bra. I agree with this recommendation. The band is also very snug - I plan on using an extender until the band stretches a bit. If you do not care to do this, I recommend going up in the band as well.
Edited to add - I have lost some weight and now the band fits perfectly.
As for the cup fit, I fill the cup well on the sides and top but there is ...a hint of a gap in the center, directly above the gore. I believe this is because of both the narrow wires and narrow gore. However, the gap is minimal and is not visible under clothing. I don't consider this to be a size mismatch but a shape mismatch. All in all, I consider this bra to be a fit even though Bratabase does not.
Appearance - This bra is beautiful! I love the cream color and the floral pattern that reminds me of days gone by - but not in a granny sort of way. The material is comfortable.
I wish I had measured this bra right when I received it, but I didn't, so I'm fudging the band length a bit to be more in line with Rose Half Cups. 30" is about how far the band stretches without distorting the cups anyway.
Despite it being 'stretchy', the band on this bra is somehow also very firm, or at least it feels so to me. For my 29" ribcage, this bra was initially too tight to wear, but after a few wearings and/or a bit of lost weight(?), I'm more comfortable in it. Apparently black-band Comexim bras run small? I'm eyeballing the Noir, and Jaimie from BraObsessed ...warned me that that one is even smaller than usual, with a 34/75 only stretching to 31.5"... yeesh!
Also: finally, a bra with wires narrow enough for me? They might actually be very slightly too narrow, which could also be because of the cups being a little bit too small. It's a wild feeling not to have extra volume on the sides of a bra's cup, honestly. Though I guess I should try a 70J/32GG in my next padded Comexim... just to make sure that a size up wouldn't be perfect! (I do have a Jade "Liftsational" on the way in two cup sizes, hopefully my email to Wellfitting caught them in time to get a 70HH/70J...)
This is a really lovely bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> And it gives me such a great shape! I have three Cleo/Panache Marcie-model bras, and they all give me a sad squished shape on the sides and not nearly enough lift. Not so in this bra! A beautiful round shape.
I do have to heartily recommend shopping with Jaimie, the back-and-forth I have been having since yesterday afternoon about what models I should try in Ewa Michalak has been so much more helpful than any back-and-forth I've had with a bra website before, honestly. I said I prefer rounded shapes because I vaguely recalled that was relevant to which model of EMs I should buy, and out Jaimie whipped two suggested models (CHP, followed by PL) and a further recommendation of something that was in stock in a size that should work for me. (Eyeballing the measurements on the Opium, I have to agree that it seems like the G cup there (slightly deeper than the "G" on Comexim's padded plunge) would be perfect...) Read more 291 more words
I am currently a 32FF UK. I sized up one cup from my UK size with this bra, but unfortunately it runs a full band size small, and about a half cup small, so it fits more like a 30FF/30G. I probably need this in a 75HH.
I ordered this bra directly from Comexim on April 5, it shipped on April 28, and I received it on May 5.
I find this bra very comfortable. I like how it looks from the side - it does not push my bust too much up and front. The shape is less rounded than the Beauty halfcup, but I feel it makes my overall silhouette look a bit lighter. It fits nicely when I stand in my normal posture, however if I push my shoulders way back it cuts in at the cup edge, but it is not a problem for me as I rarely do that - perhapse only when I tried to take the side shot of myself in the bra to post here. The gore tacks as it is rather low. As I have rather soft tissue it might not be the perfect bra for me, but I feel quite good in it. I have a matching thong in size M and it is rather tight - cuts in at the drop waist. (My hips 95 cm, drop waist 87 cm).
This bra has a UK size tag only. This change has been made for Canadian distribution. I have the Comexim Pantera in 70H and it is slightly small so I went one size up with this one. At first try, I had a small amount of gaping at the bottom of the cups by the center gore. I fixed this by inserting the cookies from one of my Ewa Michalak bras. This is a very comfortable bra and gives a nice rounded and uplifted shape. The seams do show a bit under a plain shirt.
UK32FF, Dense tissue, narrow, projected, even fullness, centre fullness, splayed - I need immediate projection too.
For starters, I want to say that I really love how this bra look. The flowers, the colours the construction combine to create this bold, dark academia/cottagecore aesthetic. And my I say, it's a really comfortable bra to match!
The Comexim Half Cups have two different construction - 2HC and 3HC. The beauty is a 3HC, which basically just means it will have more projection + immediate projection as it has one more part. These Halfcups overall have less projection and are wider in the wire than the plunge. But the HCs has more ...immdiate projection than the plunges (especially the 3HC). On the Comexim site, they only tell you if a bra is 2HC or 3HC in the added description of the Polish version of the site.
So, I got this bra of r/braswap, and realised after a while that the cups are too small by 1. But, I do think that this was the closest I've been to finding a padded bra that fits my dense tissue.
Fit:
Since it's too small in the cups, my dense tissue is pushing the cups out instead of quadding. This makes it so that the beauty has a lot of space near the struggling-to-tack gore. The band is also slightly too tight because the bra is too shallow. The wire is a little too wide too, and it's beginning to have empty space. The straps are also surprising a little wide. I’m not sure if it’s just this model though.
But, that being said, this bra suprisingly has enough immediate projection for me, where I struggle to find enough in their plunges.
I think I might look into getting a 70J 3HC instead. Read more 185 more words
I bought this on eBay when I was trying to find my Comexim size. It was listed as 'new', it looks and feels new and unwashed, although the cups were a little squashed when it arrived as it was not packed in a box, this can be seen on the pictures.
The bra is so pretty and I love the colours, the band is made from a lovely soft material and has a 3x4 clasp. Unfortunately the cups are too big, far too big and tall. I can fill the bottom of the cup but there is a fair bit of space in the top of the cup, see ...the pictures. The wire width is ok. I have tried this on a few times and no matter how much I scoop & swoop, I won't ever be able to fill this. I even tried it on again after taking a new pill which has made me a bit fuller, hoping for the best but no luck. It is time to find it a new home. I think it would fit someone who is more FOT than me better.
It's sad that it doesn't fit as I love the way it looks and it feels like a very high quality bra. It has been useful though, I used the fit issues from this to determine that a Comexim 70G would be a better place to start and my 70G - Comexim » Magic Plunge Bra (455) fits me nicely. I will list this as soon as I find a suitable box to post it in as I wouldn't want it to get squashed in the post again. Read more 171 more words
I had wanted to try this in a 70H but BreakoutBras was sold out of that size and unfortunately this model is exclusive to them. I sized up to the 70HH and was thrilled to find that it mostly fits! The straps are much too far apart for my tastes, unfortunately, which does affect the comfort somewhat.
I don't understand why the heck this bra doesn't fit. It's weird, because the measurements all seem right, but when I wear it, my boobs are just... saggy. It feels like the band is too stretchy, but the stretched measurement is right on 32 inches. I can't figure it out. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I have two other Eves, both 75HH, and they seem to fit a little better than this one, despite having a band one size too large. I know they are phasing out this particular style, so I think that might be the issue? The straps are weird and really stretchy and feel ...flimsy. There are also only two clasps instead of three for some reason; I have two other Eve bras, and they both have 3 hooks. (I can't remember if I ordered them that way, though, so it might be my fault for not asking for that alteration) This bra just seems like a fluke for me. It SHOULD fit, but it doesn't. I don't feel supported at all, even though the band is the right size and the gore tacks. It's probably because my tissue is so soft, or something. I've gotta stop ordering the bras they are trying to phase out, hahah! I ordered this bra with a raised gore and narrowed straps.
Another size mismatch. I’m bummed, because all three of the last bras I ordered from Comexim don’t fit. Wompwomp. Other than the wrong cup size (my own fault) I love this bra. It’s one of my favorites.
I would love this bra so much if the cups were big enough! Sadly, I need to order a J cup for the padded styles. It’s taken lots of time and trial and error to figure out my perfect Comexim size, but I’m slowly narrowing it down. Anyways, the bra is cute and simple, with the comfy straps I love. The band is firm but not too tight. Overall, a lovely bra! I just need to get it a cup size bigger.
See my review for 65HH for more details about fabric, cut etc.
The 70HH is definitely quite a bit wider in the cup than the 65HH - too wide for me. It does have more depth though, which I need - I feel less compressed in this size. With both Ingrids I had puckering of the overlaying mesh on my larger boob (which I estimate is half a cup to a full cup bigger than my smaller boob), which I'm a bit confused by - maybe because my larger boob is more projected and perhaps narrower? I might do a fit request at some point to try and ...get to the bottom of the issue - but it doesn't bother me, and as often with wrinkling, it appears more of an issue in photos than it does in real life.
Unfortunately the band is too big on me - I immediately went to the 3rd column of hooks. About the hooks and band - there are 3 hooks in each column, which makes the band really comfortable. And the straps are wider in this size too, which again = more comfort. Read more 84 more words
So the Victoria, besides being beautiful, is so so so comfortable. I've only worn it twice now but the first time I wore it all day and never even noticed it. The second I noticed the wires at the bottom a bit, but I have zero padding there and I never sit with correct posture so I'm sure that is not helping. The gore tacks and the wires seem to follow my IMF perfectly.
I have a few complaints but I think I might have to just get over them. There's some gaping at the top of the cup, which I think might be unavoidable with my short roots. ...I also get some minor quadding at the center which shows up after I settle in but I loosened the straps a bit for the second wear and it seems to have fixed that problem. This particular bra has some weird indents in the cups just below where the straps attach, almost like they're pulling too tight, but they don't go away with loosening unless there's absolutely no tension on the straps at all. The cups are also empty from these indents to the wire and puckering slightly. I got this as a swap and the previous owner mentioned the same thing so I think it might just be a defect rather than a size or shape issue. The wire marks are right at the edge of my IMF so it's like there extra fabric, not that it's too big. Last thing is it seems to make me a little wider than I'd prefer and it has a little of a minimizing effect. I'd like a little more front and center if possible. I have to start this on the second (of 4) hooks and I'm debating moving to the third so I'm wondering if I should ultimately go to the 65 band. Read more 204 more words
