  1. Bardot Balcony Bra (SG3101)

Bardot is great for a projected, FOB, short rooted shape. If anything, I could have used a little more projection at the wire and a little less at the apex, but that's a minor quibble. The band runs a smidge tight, not quite as tight as I'd prefer, but such is life.

The wires are a smidge wider than I'd prefer, but I actually don't mind at all because they're so flexible. It makes it a million times more comfortable. Looking at you, Panache!

Aesthetically, this bra is even nicer in real life than in the pictures. I'm especially a fan of the unusual double bows at the gore and straps. This is the first (non-Polish) bra I've owned in multiple colorways, which is pretty awesome.e

I must have lost quite a lot of boobage, since this exact model in this exact size was way too small two years ago. I don't know how to feel about it, tbh xD otherwise - a nice, smooth t-shirt bra.

      Glad it fits you!

    • Interesting you're having such different results from two years ago. Are you trying a brand new one, or the same one you tried two years ago? If it's a new one, maybe they altered the cut.

  3. Princess Balcony Bra (CK6001)

Edit: I wore this bra for 10 hours today standing and sitting and walking and only remembered when I got home. Best. Bra. I. Own.

Fit: Less projected at apex, taller gore than my 40HH - Curvy Kate » Princess Balcony Bra (CK6001) in beige. More projected at apex, narrower wires than my 40HH - Curvy Kate » Portia Balcony Bra (CK4001). A fit that is compact, narrow, and has plenty of space for my full on top breasts without being droopy.

Comfort: Soft, supple, and stays in my IMF. No itchy laces. No scratchy fabrics. A win.

Style: I am a Russian doll. A delicate, slightly over the top, beautifully silly object in this bra. It combines two of my favorite colors, blue and red. I love it and I didn't think I would after the beige version.

Extraordinarily pretty bra with its crystal charm and shimmery silver embroidery. The sparkly top edge is so lovely I totally wouldn't mind if it happened to peak out from beneath my shirt during the day! So far I've found that CK plunges fit best in a cup size down from what I wear in their padded and balcony bras, and Dare is no exception. Wires are medium-narrow, immediate projection is about average, and the low gore is a perfect match for my close-set boobs. The shape is not stellar, but not terrible: more of a natural teardrop. Cup coverage is just a bit more than an Ewa SM. Altogether, a very useful bra for beneath low-cut tops and dresses, and a beautiful one at that. Pretty impressed with Dare!

    • I had been stalking your review :-) The 32F Atomic Plunge is more narrow--5.3" cups. It seems the Atomic, because it is new for 2016, may be more narrow than Dare. In this case, because I need a 30" band, I may prefer 30FF Dare over 30FF Atomic. Thanks for your measurements and review! :-)

Happy to help! Lol, you should know that I just bought the berry colorway of the CK Bardot based on your review, too :) I'm really enjoying trying more of CK's unlined bras at the moment. Just a heads up if you end up going for a 30FF Dare-- the Mink colorway is super cheap on Ebay right now!

    • Oh shoot, I spoke too soon! It appears Ebay is all out :(

    • Giggle. No problem. I'm returning a bikini top to Brastop. So, I'll exchange for a plunge.

    • I look forward to reading your review :)

Very short, projected, slightly narrow, close set, even breasts....

This cup is just .2" too narrow. The wrinkles in the bottom of the cup are due to my breast not sitting at the wire. There is just a bit of empty space. This should fit perfectly in a 32FF/30G.

The cup is a good height for short breasts, narrow enough to fit very narrow breasts, and projected enough for projected breasts. I would not, however, recommend this bra for wide or shallow breasts.

The low and narrow gore is such a relief. Off to order one size larger. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

    • I love it! How soft is the material?

    • 1

Similar to Bardot's mesh, but not as soft as Ellace.

    • 1

Ok, that's acceptable. Can't wait for the Plum to come out!

    • 1

Wearing it feels more pleasant than Bardot....for some reason. Less fabric in the cup design.

I saw this beauty as a sleepwear quite long time ago and thought - Thats really nice looking bra! but then i remembered that Ive tried soft CK very long tme ago and decided that probably it will give me crappy look so I passed. Recently, ive noticed that there are more and more positive reviews about CK and I decided to give a go a couple of older styles as my shape changed for better since im wearing better bras.
Ive got this one in 30e and im really happy!
I love the colours - berry and copper - looks mature and sexy
The band is 30, but feels ... nice and snug without extender - although its made of 1 layer of mesh so probably it will stretch easier than other bras.
Strap placement - i give it 4.5/5 as its nearly perfect! and straps are fully adjustable
The shape of cups is almost as round as my Cleos, its see through and the vertical seams are on my nipples so they shouldn't show up under thin shirt.
Wires are ok, could be little more narrow, but also theyre much shorter than the channells so im getting little empty space and wrinkling on my smaller breast but overall it feels okay.

    Didn't fit

I've been eying the this bra for a while and finally took the plunge when it went on sale. I noticed when looking on the entries for my usual size (28GG) that the cups seem to run small. I'm pretty sure this is intended to give the "sexy" effect, but I wasn't too keen on that so I went ahead and ordered a size up. In the end, I'm glad I did, because it juuuust fits.

The design is definitely alluring, in particular with the berry/black, but doesn't have quite the oomph I was expecting. That could be because I ordered up a size, but I know there's ... other ways to make a bra cleavage-y without just making it too small in the cups, so it's just a teensy bit disappointing. For all the cleavage hype, the cups are suprisingly tall and spaced, imo. The straps are very wide set, much too wide for me. If I were to wear the straps where the bra wants them to be, they'd be slipping off my shoulder all day long and I'd get gaping at the top edge, so I have to pull them in to sit in the right place. The sides don't poke for me, but if you typically have issues with tall, wideset cups poking armpits then you'll probably get that problem in this bra. The padding is very light, the material itself isn't itchy or uncomfortable for me, but I've noticed the lace at the top of the cup can give the illusion of gaping, even though the top of the cup is flat against the breast. The wires are also pretty wide, but that's basically a given with Curvy Kate. They're stiff but not stabby. The bra has three hooks and the band is on the strechier side of a 28, more like a 30.

Over all, I love it, and the SO gives it two thumbs up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

Edit: Unfortunately, after wearing this bra a few times, I've discovered it's SO shallow at the bottom that during wear my boobs will actually push the bra out of my imframmary fold and down my ribs, where it will chafe. So, daily wear is out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Still good for special occassions!

This bra fits well overall. I like how the band fits sung, I would not want it any tighter but it is comfortable to wear all day. The cups hold my breasts nicely. I'm fairly happy with the shape it gives me, but I do have to position my breasts just right or else I get a more pointy shape than I like. Once things are set, they stay in place and look good for extended periods. The center gore runs a little high, but is not uncomfortable. I think it's a keeper. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

How adorable is this swim top?! I LOVE this!!! It fits so well that every other suit I've had before now should just go home. I love the halter, which makes the straps very adjustable. The low wires don't stab my sternum, and the long top has adjustable strings on the side to cinch it up if you're petite. I love how narrow the waist is, and how the hips are also wide enough for my 36x27x38.5 figure. Love.
One note of caution: if you have no upper fullness, I could see how this would give you come boobs.

Oh! And the bikini bottom fits great in a UK12/M.

Oh my.....I might "need" to try this: finding tankinis that are fitted enough in the waist and can accommodate hips and breasts is unusual. I'm wearing the Shockwave bikini bra as an everyday bra as it is now. Super cute on you!!

Thank you! I never feel cute in swimsuits and my bikini has a little ruffle! Stay tuned for my review of the Plain Sailing halter neck red polka dot...coming soon!

    • Would you measure the gore height, gore width, and cup width? Thanks for taking time to add measurements as this will help many of us who want a tankini like this (me!!). :-) :-)

Fit: This bra fits perfectly. The wires are nice and narrow and firm but not painful. I have no quadboob. By some magical forces, I have no gapping on my small size either. The shape is compact, round, and lovely. I feel gathered in rather than pushed out. At the same time it seems to have room at the bottom of the cup and the apex. The gore is short so I don't push it out, so I feel much more held together. I just generally feel lifted, enclosed, and rounded. I also have some hot but subtle cakes on ... a plate. This is my perfect breast look.

Look: I hate it. All the little dots and ribbons and embroidered lace are so precious. In the beige it suits my skin tone but because the cups are sheer I can't wear it under white shirts. The dots all show as well. I probably would like this better in a different color, but in beige it's pretty horrid. I really like minimalism, clean lines, and classic beauty. This is not that. I'm sure others love it however.

Comfort: It's pretty soft and comfortable. My only gripe is that the elastic in the band is narrow, but it is quite soft everywhere. I want to put it on and wear it.

I'm going to return it and get a different color. My breasts need to look that good every day.

I should probably wear a 32JJ, but I ordered this size because it was dirt cheap on Amazon for some reason ($18 instead of $65 for the other sizes). I wanted to try out the new Curvy Kate fit, so this was a safe way to do it. I have to say I'm impressed! This is definitely the best-fitting Curvy Kate bra I've ever tried. No more upside down 7 or east/west boobs -- this bra has got some serious uplift, plus it brings the girls front-and-center. The shape is a nice, naturally rounded shape as well. The band is a smidge too tight (not the bra's fault ... - I normally wear a 32), the wires are a tad bit too wide, and the center gore does not lie flat (but I'm very close set, so that's not surprising). However, if I had this bra in my proper size, I'd probably still wear it regularly even though the wires and gore aren't perfect.

If you are a fan of Polish bras, I'd definitely recommend giving the new Curvy Kate a try! The fit isn't exactly the same, but it's close enough that I'd now consider it another option, especially if I needed a bra quickly from Amazon.

I originally wanted to try the Curvy Kate Bardot but settled for a sister cut Madagascar because it was cheaper. I have tall roots but not a lot tissue up top, so most lined bras wrinkle at the top so I thought trying a bra intend for short roots might help. The tops of the cups still wrinkle due to me not have enough tissue in the right spots but also my tall roots are pushing against the top making it worse. Its also wrinkling slightly at the bottom due to not enough immediate projection. I wanted this bra to fit because it a beautiful color and the cups have a pretty embroidery on the top. But the shape was unflattering because it cuts into my tall roots. I would recommend this for someone with short roots and average projection.

This bra is good for women with high set breasts. It seems to be shorter on the sides than other bras, so it is one of the few that doesn't poke my armpits. I love the colors (I have both the red/poppy color and a teal one). It's very comfortable, and seems to have the immediate projection I need to keep the bra in place. I've owned both of my Madagascar bras for a few months, and they seem to be holding up well.

This is a very sexy bra. The top of the cup is fairly closed off, almost too much so for my even fullness boobs. So if you're FOT, this is not the bra for you. It cuts in just a bit on my bigger side while simultaneously wrinkling on my smaller side. It's not a perfect fit, but these minor issues are unnoticeable under a loose tee shirt, and I wouldn't wear this bra under a tight tee shirt due to the lace and seams. I don't think going up to a 30G would solve the problem, as I'm almost certain it would ... be too deep for me.

I love the 3 hook closure and love Curvy Kate for consistently offering that in my size range, along with always offering the little finishing details that make a bra unique. The bows, oh the bows! So amazing without being overdone. The purple trim all the way around to the back! The black satin contrast on the cups and band! Yes! I'd say the band runs tight for CK, it only stretches to 29" and is wearable on the loosest hooks for me, fastenable on the middle hooks. I was worried about this since the bra was not offered online in my usual 28G. I tried the 30FF because it's really cheap on Amazon right now lol.

Being my first foray into CK bras, I'd say, based on other CK reviews, this is a very narrow and projected cup for them. I measured 5.4" wide and 10" deep. The bottom of the cup is excellent, the wires nestle right into my IMF and it has enough immediate projection for me. I don't need to readjust when I bend forward, it holds the girls in there.

This is my first unlined bra in many many years and the fabric is... meh. It could be softer, and may get softer after a washing. I will have to wear it for a day before I can tell whether my skin will get along with it. I'm impressed by the amount of lift and overall roundness I got from it. I also love the very narrow center gore - it's higher than I usually go for but I can get away with it because it's so narrow. Again, will have to see over the course of the day if it starts to dig. If I decide to return it, I don't want to wear it too much. I might keep it just for sexytimes, because it's a very sexy, very sheer black bra.

This will be a fantastic bra for many. It is just screaming for narrow to average width, projected, FOB shapes. I highly recommend it.

    Didn't fit

I've had CK Bardot recommended as possibly working for me, and I found it on sale on amazon, so I decided to give it a try.

For the record, I have projected, full-on-bottom breasts with narrow and very short roots.

From what I could gather, the band on this bra is supposed to run stretchy, so I decided to sister-size down from my usual UK size, to 34J instead of 36HH. The band is not remotely as loose as I expected, and so I needed an extender to even be able to try it on - it runs about halfway between a 34 and 36. So if you're ... in-between band sizes, it might work for you there!

The cups just fit me...really weirdly. They're clearly too large, and the measurements I took make it seem that it simply runs large in the cup. Despite this, the gore doesn't quite tack right, and I know for a fact that it's not a case of the band being too loose for it to tack. The wires are a bit wide, but not hugely so.

I do have a lot of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup, and no matter how much I scooped and swooped and tried to readjust the cups it would wrinkle at the bottom. As far as the top of the cup goes, it's most obvious near the gore that the cups aren't right; there's a lot of loose fabric there. Overall I feel the bra really accentuates my shortness and just makes me look really pointy, which is at least somewhat because the cups are the wrong size.

The bra reminds me of my 36HH - Panache » Jasmine (6951) a lot, but the top isn't stretch lace. The bra itself is a very sheer material and I like the red accents on it - it's simple and subtle. I'd like to try it again in another size (maybe 36H would work better?) but amazon appears to be out of stock on it. Oh well.

  18. Daily Dream Padded Balcony Bra (CK4501)

This bra is a great everyday bra. The only part that hurts is the strap attachment a bit because the cups are too wide on me.

This makes my boobs look WAY bigger than they really are. If you don't want to look any bigger, this probably is not your dream. I kind of feel like I'm lying when I wear it.

It's quite closed on top. If you're FOT or tall root it will probably cut in. Quite closed near the gore too, separates nicely but if you need room there this isn't your bra.

This shape has a bit more of a peak than the Arizona; not quite ... as round. The band is also a little tighter than the Arizona.

I took pics with 2 different shirts to test their claim of the flat seams not showing under clothing. Not quite true. Under a cami or under stretch fabric, they show. Should be fine with most others though.

Overall I think this is the best for someone FOB, wide rooted, and projected. It gives a nice rounded with a peak shape, good lift, and maximizes size.

Yes! The bra came early and I'm so excited that it fits, I pushed the wires to give me .75" at the gore it still doesn't tack, but I have close set boobs so I expected that. When I did push it in I only had at most 4mm of overflow so still good besides it's not there when not tacked. Because this is CK the wires are wider than I need but not too much and I do have 1 finger of space if I pull it all the way up to my IMF and 1.5 fingers when my boobs push them down. the cups are also ... a touch too tall. Despite all of this it is the best fit I have gotten to date, so I'm a little teary eyed lol. I can actually keep this bra because:
*I'm not quadding out of it unbelievably
*the wires aren't so firm that I have to reverse scoop or risk marks due to my center fullness
*the straps aren't so tight my arms lose circulation
    * and best of all... the cups aren't so tall that the bra is stupidly too big and too small

    • im happy for you :)

    • Thank you I also have a question how many inches can I take off my perimeter in a bra? I have semi soft boobs and my largest perimeter is 14" and smaller is 13.5"

    • That's just great! Congratulation! My friend recently discovered the Arizonia too. She just loves it. This was after breaking wires in Freya Decos and having a horrible time with @Elomi and @Pinache bras. :)

    • Had to comment because I haven't seen anyone else mention the problem of tall cups (for me it was tall outer edges of cups) making a bra simultaneously too small and too big! I was practically falling out towards the center in the
65N - Comexim » Burgundy Half Cup (357) and had all this extra fabric towards the edges. I noticed you have had luck with a comexim plunge as well and that has been my only fit so far- and I do still have some slight gaping below the straps and they're definitely too wide. I think the alterations you described for your Gina Plunge would really help me as well! So now I'm starting to wonder if I have short roots as well! (How do I tell?)
Maybe we're boob twins! In which case, I wonder if the Arizona would work for me too... Thanks!

    • chirality there are a couple of ways to tell if you have short roots and I will attach some links for you to view. By definition (vertical roots), tall roots have tissue that is close to the collar bone and short roots have tissue further away. But let me first tell you my recent findings, because the actual placement of your bust affects your results. To tell your bust placement find your natural waist, place your hand right at the tip of it under your boob, and place your other hand flat against your skin above it with your hands touching. If you cannot place both hands under your IMF, you are high-set and consider this tall roots. If you can blace both hands right under IMF, this is medium placement and you will have to look at tissue to determine your roots by lying down. If you can fit 2 hands with left over space this if low set and you will also have to look at tissue placement by lying down.

The empty space that we find at our straps (me x I'm assuming you) is a combo of things, first if you have high set boobs we do technically have tall roots because our tissue is right at our collar bone, but because our bust is so high up it leaves extra cup space because it was made for someone with a medium or low set bust. If you also happen to be center full, we are on the other hand lacking outer tissue so it leaves space at the straps/outer top of cup. Another thing that may increase the noticeability of this is if you have short roots horizontally, leaving more space at the straps and outer side of the cups. This can result in the dreaded "too big and too small" effect. I don't wear this any more because it is too irritating to wear, but I can give you a better idea of the effects of the alterations in Comexim if you want.

    • MissAponii So helpful! I was completely confused by the hand thing at first - I couldn't picture it, but I did a quick google and found this https://insideoutstyleblog.com/2009/06/how-to-tell-if-you-have-a-short-balanced-or-long-waist.html where the picture instantly explained it. I always assumed I have a long waist because I have a long torso and short legs, but I could only fit one hand between my underbust and narrowest point of my waist! So I'm short waisted, I never would have guessed!

So - let me make sure I understand, a short waist makes one functionally high set? And being high set means you technically have tall roots? But since they aren't "really" tall roots and I also have narrower roots, there is extra space in the bra under the straps. So I still don't know if I actually have short roots or not... but I gather that doesn't matter that much for fit? This would make sense, I read that a "normal" set breast IMF is 5-7" below the armpit. The Comexim burgundy you commented on has a 5" wing and that cut in to my armpit uncomfortably, so I think mine must be higher set than average even without taking the waist into account. I also have discovered recently that I require short wires and am now reading that this can also be part of having high set breasts - the wires need to be shorter or they dig into armpit or center tissue. I am definitely center full as well and I see how that can add to the side gap problem.

Thanks so much for your help, and looking at your bras at least I have a few ideas of what not to try too!

    • You're welcome chirality, yes my IMF is a little less than 5" maybe 4.75" so things dig into my arm pit like this bra, one bra actually cut me 😞, on occasion the wing might not bother me, perhaps because the straps are moved in. I recommend you start moving them in 2cm, but I do 3cm because my bust is really heavy on my body and I need that extra level of support. Also have you tried ordering directly from Comexim, I always do because some here have commented that the fit from Comexim US retailers are different than direct order.
