I was going to return this bra, but when I tried it with an extender it fit *much* better. I think the tightness of the band distorted the wires, taking away the projection I need, flattening the cups and making quad boob. Now the only problem is some extra fabric on the sides. It's actually really flattering on me, I'm psyched!
The underwires are a tad too wide for me. I also found that the material on the top of the cup will wrinkle, and the bottom will gape, depending on how I adjust my breasts in the cup. I feel that this is to do with the underwires and may try Freya next (their 28FF Taylor is a little small in the cup for me but I wear it instead of this 28G). I feel that the gore hurts my chest some aswell, which is to do with the underwires. All in all it is a lovely bra, didn't get any torpedo boobs with it, but the Curvy Kate brand just doesn't suit me.
This bra is beautiful, but completely the wrong shape on me. My boobs are deep, narrow and slightly bottom-center heavy whereas the bra has wide wires and a high center gore. My breasts settle after a few seconds of wear. Only wore to try on.
I liked this bra a lot. I have a bit of a fear of unlined bras as I tend not to like the shape they give, but this bra gives a very nice, round and somewhat minimized shape. The bra fits my boobs perfectly if I don't scoop and swoop correctly, but as soon as I pull in all the migrated tissue from my armpits, I get some quad-boobing from the ribbon detail on the top, and I can never seem to fill out the bottom of the bra. Whether this is a shape issue or a size issue I'm not sure of. The wires also seem to ...be slightly too wide (not wide enough to be uncomfortable, though) b/c my boobs tends to fall into the sides as the day goes on. The straps are only half adjustable, and as a narrow-shouldered person I thought this would be a problem, but I found I could adjust the straps to a fine length without a problem. The band is firm but stretchy, and if you like a really tight band I would suggest sizing up although I thought the 32 was a perfect fit. The wire height on the sides was also fine for me. For me, the biggest hitch in this bra is that the ADORABLE velvet polka dots are raised, and that can make it quite noticeable under thin shirts. But overall, this bra is very comfortable and very cute. Read more 134 more words
I'm so glad I got this bra in the smaller cup size (from 30FF to 30F). While I almost think I could get away with a 30E, this bra is beautiful, I love the ribbon detailing at the top of the cups, it's supportive (which surprises me every time I try on an unlined bra) and very comfortable. I can live with a little bit of gapping.
This bra was just the wrong size. Too big in the band and slightly large in the cup. I have already ordered one in my correct size. It seems to be well constructed. The fabric is soft yet firm and supportive. I ordered the blush color and it is a good basic nude, with pretty feminine accents. Not super fancy but a great everyday bra. Will review the proper fitting bra once it arrives.
I really want this bra to work for me because it's so pretty. Unfortunately, it gives my boobs a weird shape and the lace is really itchy. The band is super stretchy too.
I find this bra to be quite snug - I'm still debating whether to get an extender or to just deal with it until it stretches out a bit more.
The shape of the bra fits me well and I fill the cups completely. One thing that is a bit annoying about the cups is that my nipples sit exactly where the transparent mesh section is and it ends up looking kind of odd.
Another thing I dislike about the bra is that the underwire channel is about 1/2" longer than the actual underwire. I believe this is what causes the bra to poke me slightly under the arm ...- since the wings continue above the underwire, it sort of pulls it towards my torso rather than lying flat. I've tried sliding the underwire towards the underarm so the empty space is at the gore, but then the cups don't sit correctly. This doesn't bother me too much since it isn't major poking and I think it will disappear once the bra stretches out a bit.
Other than those issues the bra is very well constructed and fits well, I would definitely consider getting this bra in other colours or other bras with the same cut. Read more 96 more words
Like the CK Entice it does the whole "push up" thing and is another discontinued CK Showgirl bra.
Definitely a shallow cup -- this works well for me because I'm full-on-top. It has too much center projection to work with a lot of shallow breasts, I think. The straps are fully adjustable, which helps with a gaping problem I had with the straps set at the default that I got them at. The wires are pretty narrow in this range. The fabric is gorgeous, really soft. Feels like less of an "armored car" than my Entice does, but it's simultaneously less flattering. The band is super stretchy -- definitely looser/stretchier than my Deco Honey.
This is a much better fit than the 32FF I had. CK has weird sizing. I have a 32E Tease Me that's WAY too small, yet this 32D fits decently. It fits my bigger boob better than the small one. I have to adjust a bit, but it holds my boobs in and gives me a decent shape.
I just don't get CK sizing! I just got a Curvy Kate Caribbean Curves Balcony Bikini Top (CS4001) in a 32D and it fits decently. But this 32E is way too small. I think the wires are too narrow and the cup feels too shallow, even though I have shallow boobs. My roots are normal, not wide, not narrow. My boobs come up way to the top of the cup, so much so that you can see my nipples.
A couple of months ago, I bought this bra in a 32HH. It felt too big then, so back it went.
And maybe that was right at the time, but this 32H is now definitely way too small in the cup. It's too narrow and cuts in on the sides. Additionally, the bottom of the cup is worlds too shallow. Not only does the projection in my breasts push the bra farther down my torso, but it does so *so much* that the underwires cut into my belly in front, which is painful.
Additionally, the band runs large and stretches lots, enough that I'd definitely consider sizing down to a 30.
I wanted so much to love this bra. The color is a rich, dark teal, which sets off the blush ribbon nicely.
The band is just right for a 32, and the 3-hook closure is my preference.
The wires are wide enough, which is generally: 1) unheard of for me; 2) incredibly promising. Unfortunately, that is the highlight of my experience with the cup. I initially experienced some gaping in the top of the cup, so I thought it was too big. But no. I soon discovered the top of the cup sliding down because the cup is too shallow there. And no matter how I adjust the straps, I feel like I'm getting zero lift from the bottom of the cup.
Overall, while nothing is painful, I'm not getting the support I need from the bra, nor am I getting any kind of shaping. I may look to try this (or a similar cut) in a 32J -- but it may also be a fundamental shape incompatibility.
I knew it wasn't going to fit when I bought it. I'm discovering that my regular Curvy Kate size should be somewhere in the vicinity of 32HH/J, so ideally, I'd like a Tempt Me that was at least a cup volume, maybe two, larger than this. But they're not made, so I take what I can get. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
I've heard others say the band runs a full band size or more large. Since I'm needing the extender initially, I wonder if "full band size" is maybe an overestimate. But that will depend on how quickly it stretches out.
The cups are shallow but padded and very comfy. I especially have space at the bottom of the cup, from where my more projected breast is pushing on it to make room.
It doesn't rub or chafe, but I do have to readjust frequently -- but again, I think that's more a factor of improper size than it is an inherent problem with the bra.
The underwire really digs in on the bottom. Straps too far apart for me. Going to give this a little time to get accustomed to it, but not very happy with it.
Seems very similarly constructed to Freya Eloise Plunge (4951) and gives a similar natural shape (supported, but very pointy compared to Cleo Lucy (5851)). I like the details of this bra a lot. It definitely rates wearing a full day to determine more.
