Unfortunately now too small for me after I've gone up a cup size to 28GG/30G - but it used to fit like a dream. One of my favourite styles from Curvy Kate - I like to call it my 'I'm not wearing a bra'-bra because it's one of the few bras I can keep on all day without getting irritated by it.
Disregard the cup width/depth/separation measurements - as a previous reviewer mentioned, there's no real cup distinction in this style so I measured from the outermost 'side support' seam to the centre point where the 'cups' meet. In terms of sizing and fit, I find this to be okay. The band does flip and roll up on itself due to the construction of it, but contrary to what others seem to say this doesn't actually bother me at all nor do I find any discomfort with it. I also find it to be too stretchy, than too tight. Cup wise with it being dual cup-sized, there was some inevitable overspill at the neckline. Even when I was a 28G/30FF, I have quite full/firm tissue and would have been much better with a 30FF/G cup, as 30G/GG was too big at the time. I've since gone up a cup size to 28GG/30G, and find 30G/GG a much more comfortable fit.
I will admit that I'm not keen on the aesthetic of this style, but the fit and support is great. It's a fuller coverage plunge, a bit Elomi Matilda-esque, with 4-part cups. The shape it gives is separated and contained within each cup with a decent amount of projection. It is made of rigid, non-stretch laminated mesh with top cup embroidery; the fit can feel quite neat, especially along the neckline if your breast tissue is fuller and firmer like mine. The brand has a fit tip on their site to suggest using the j-hook if you experience this digging in along the neckline, and I agree it ...definitely helps improve the fit. It isn't something I'd generally buy based on the look of it, and the fact it's fuller coverage which I'm not a fan of on myself, but I feel like it's a great addition to Curvy Kate's range and may become one of those bras I keep in my rotation for practicality. I also really like the cross-over centre front; I sit at a desk most of my day and this little feature makes it pretty much a bandless bra so is really comfy on my upper stomach! I put this on and my first thought was, "What? Noooooo." I've had dozens of bras on in the last few weeks, and this was the first one I thought looked genuinely ugly on me. It somehow both smashed in my (admittedly soft) breast tissue causing discomfort, but also had wrinkling on the top diagonal panel. Neither of my nipples were either where I thought they should sit in the bra or near the same location. Most bras I've tried on twice to see if it need a second impression, but this one really truly did not. It was an immediate return.
normally wear Curvy Kate in a 34HH or Polish brands in 80HH/80M
initial try on/impressions the biscotti is a very yellow beige. materials seem basic, not super cheap but not luxurious or high quality. Initial fit. everything fits fairly comfortably. band and cup volume seem about the right size although I am more center set than this is designed. This isnt super significant and is almost to the point I dont have to reposition myself east/west to fit. I dont think this would not need a lot of repositioning thought the day, but would need some. The wires do not follow my root- particularly it is wider than me along the ...outer sides. I have Omega roots, so this isnt really surprising, and still fits my tissue fairly well. The wires arent pinching or hurting where they sit. I dont have pain in my sternum from trying this on, which is one of my normal fit issues. There is a lot of wrinkling in the outer fabric over the cup foam. I dont think it's due to fit, I think it's a construction quality issue. These wrinkles are not visible though my thin t-shirt, however the seams definitely are. The padding is enough to minimize but not fully conceal my nipple bumps.
So far it seems like this might be an ok basic daily bra without the hassle of importing from Poland. Will have to wear for longer to make sure there arent fit issues. What I would like more: First, there should at least be a bit more quality control where the outer fabric isnt wrinkling. Ideally I would prefer some method to smooth the seams out where they arent visible under a shirt. I still cant find a bra to wear under thin light color shirts that is both smooth enough to not show seams, beige to not show color, and padded enough to not show nipple bumps. I hope this is sturdy enough to hold up in a rotation of normal daily bras. Read more 222 more words
Amazon Wardrobe $52, returned Band slightly too large, but crumples into nothing? It crumples as if way too overstretched, but feels way too loose. Not very comfortable, for all that it feel soft. Can fit 4 fingers between me and the band without much strain/ plenty of stretch left.cuts fit volumewise, but I am more center-set and have to adjust myself further east-west to be in the cups correctly. Straps are set in my armpits in front and arent comfortable there. Somewhat feel as if the outside of my breast are unsupported? And sort of like this bra wants to push my tissue into the armpits. The seam between ...the side of the cup and the band on my side is in a really weird spot. Possibly because it tries to bring the side panel up so high? Would work much better for someone who is set more East/West and less toward the center than me. Fabrics feel nice quality and texture and secure. Band fits against my sternum, but the diamond sits about 2-3 inches away from my chest- I can fit my hand sideways there. Not secure/supportive enough to be a sports bra- bouncing is particularly not supported. Although not much side to side movement as I already had to push myself sideway into the cup. At least it holds me apart ok? After moving a little I start to quad boob and would have to keep restuffing my tissue sideways. Overall, not stable enough to be a sportsbra, not supportive enough for a dailywear bra and not comfy enough for a sleep bra (mostly due to the strap placement and top/side of the cup being in my armpit) If I wore this for a longer period of time, I would get really tired of the quadboob-ing and having to reposition constantly.
For no underwire, it's fairly supportive when still. It's hard to tell how well it would work with a tighter band and with cups that arent much to far east/west. It's also unpadded, and for me shows an unreasonable amount of nipplebump (the seam actually puckered and exaggerated this)
Quality: The material all seemed to be high quality expect the bottom band elastic. I wish they went with a functional and softer elastic instead of a plasticy rougher elastic that immediately crumples. 5 stars for most of the bra, 1 star for the band- being functional is important and it isnt even cute crumpled up so that's no good excuse.
Comfort: I am too east/west, and the band wasnt cuper comfotable. the quadding didnt cut into my tissue, it was actually more comfotable than being held seperate, so it's definately not the worst.
Appearance: my fit issues of the straps being wide, band crumpling, and quadding made this look not-so-great. I also dont know how nice the area that connects the cups would look under a shirt with how lifted away from my chest it is. Depends on how tight of something I would wear. The seam bumping up where it hit my nipple looked wrong too, it exaggerated the bump. After taking it off, I notice the whole seam from solid to mesh seems to just be puckering, so maybe it wasnt my niple makeing the bump, but just placement of where that puckering exists. Honestly, this didnt have a whole lot going for it visually.
Over all, Im kind of sad this didnt work. I really love the feel of most of the materials and it seemed well made. It's just a shape mismatch and a few quality details that make it a no. Read more 487 more words
Amazon Wardrobe Fit: Curvy Kate Moothie Soul Plunge Tshirt bra , Latte, 34H notes: very pink inside. Elastic already sort of curves under cup wire? On largest hook it fits pretty good. Elastic straps seem elastic enough that they are almost useless (seriously they have no resistance to being stretched out). Not a huge fan of the pink hardware on the straps for shortening. (J hook is tan though?). Cups wise- My roots are kinda short for the straps, and Im a little center-full, but that's not abnormal for any bra's so far. Im unsure if the gore is too wide, or just at my max. The elastic on the ...bottom of the band keeps curling under my chest- similar to the Ewa's. I think I may need either a wider bottom of my gore, or the whole gore may be being pushed together by my boobs being too close set- I cant really tell where the stress on it is coming from. I might be *slightly* too big for these cups, but it's one of the better fit's ive tried? I just sort of think I'm pushing this bra out and down. straps are much better placed than the Ewa. Being super picky on things- it's a little wide in the wires and the gore floats a little. I bulge over the top of the cup toward the middle, but dont fill it at the top by the strap. Not sure if the side height will end up irritating my tail-of-spence or not. Construction wise the strap elastic seems useless due to it's stretchiness, and the mesh backing and elastic seem a bit towards the cheaper end with the zigzag over elastic how it is, but the cup construction seems really well done. Overall, I would probably wear this as an everyday bra and be "fine" with it, but I would be looking out for something better. I like it as an option that seems smooth for tighter shirts, but am concerned about all the bright pink for a beige bra. (Id rather get something fun if I dont need to be discreet)
I actually sent this back, then rebought it after needing a smooth beige bra.
Updates: 1 year & 1 month in of owning this. I dont wear tend to wear this as often as some of my other bras. It's really to wide-set and the straps are way too stretchy to be supportive. I mostly wear this on laundry-day or when I actually need something either beige or smooth for under certain clothes that cant have dark stuff or lacey bumps. It's an ok fit, and at least to order another I would have to deal with importing a Polish brand. Overall, I'd rather try something new and keep searching than reorder this, especially now that I have this one for any smooth/beige needs. I hate the straps and should really just get around to replacing them sometime. Read more 379 more words
Despite it being super plunge, it is not a good fit for close set boobs. And the band is too small relative to the cup size, in order to wear it comfortably I had to put a band extender. Material is also a little scratchy.
While this bra isn't a perfect fit, it is worlds better than the 5 year old Bravado Body Silk bras I had been wearing. It has shorter cups and narrower wires than other British bras so it is more accommodating of my short roots and center fullness. The gore doesn't quite tack, but it isn't uncomfortable. There's also a little bit of wrinkling on the bottom of the right cup which is my slightly smaller side. Once I got used to wearing my first underwire in a long time I found it rather comfortable.
Edited to add: it turns out that have mild pectus excavatum so most gores won't tack on me.
I adore this bra. If the straps were a tad closer together it would be one of my all time favorites. It may not be great for larger cups, since the straps are so thin, but I think the band gives enough support I don’t usually have issues.
After trial and error I've narrowed down a small batch of sizes I can work with. This gives a lot of spillage, but still good support. It will work with outfits that either openly display bust or require cleavage. I will size up in the cup 1 to 2 sizes for similar bras in the future.
I love the look and colors, but this one just fits awkward for me. It is usable to help rotate my bras, but I won't purchase similar bras to this in the future.
Thanks for the review, I've been looking at this bralette around this size! Looks comfy!
