Moulded cup lightly padded bra. It provides a good support due to it's 'full cup' style, with high center gore and high cup.
I found it difficult to fill the bottom of the cup because it is too shallow. Also, the shape of the cup has it's deepest point in the wrong place for me, and so, even though there is no empty space to the top of the cup, there is a little unfilled space inside. Due to its shape, the bra gives a more projected look, less round (breats very visible when looking on the side, and not visible on the front), a little bit pointy.
So this bra sort of fits. It fits my larger side pretty well but there is a bit of gaping on my smaller side. I think it would work better for someone fuller on top. My FOB breasts fill the cups well but kind of stop at the top of the cups. The bra is absolutely gorgeous and feels good on. The textured floral lace overlay is visible through thin shirts, though. The straps are comfy and easily adjustable. As other users mentioned, it fits a little big in the cups and band- more like a 28FF or 30F. It offers an impressive amount of projection combined with narrow cups, so kind of like a Polish bra in that regard.
28F has the same issues as 28E, but doesn't gape that badly, I coul get rid of that gape if I removed the straps closer to the center. However, the cups are too narrow and cut into my left breast painfully.
My shape (still figuring it out a bit): Average root width, tall roots, projected, even fullness, very soft breast tissue.
This bra is very nearly perfect. The wire width is good, the projection is good, the band is good. It is very comfortable to wear, and very pretty with a touch of sexiness. Shape-wise it is not quite there for me - while it is very accommodating to tall roots (its stretch lace top is forgiving and soft) the cups themselves are not quite firm enough to combat my softness. I need them to more firmly push my tissue upwards, so the lace top section has something to grip ...to. As it is, the lace folds down a little where my tall roots push it away. I also do not quite find the cups sturdy enough to hold me fully in place - this would not be a problem for firm breasts, or even mildly soft ones, but for my ultra-soft breasts it means I need to swoop and scoop a couple of times a day. It also means I don't get the round shape I want (though tall roots plus soft breasts mean that shape is v. difficult for me to achieve in an unlined bra).
With all that having been said, because I am like a child and this bra is that perfect combo of pretty plus sexy, I am keeping it. The fit issues are more aesthetic than anything else and I do love the look of the whole thing. Read more 143 more words
Comfortable! I don't like the more angular shape it gives me with or without straps. I was hoping this could be a strapless, but the cups are way too soft and need the straps (on top of an even more lackluster shape). Nice design and a cool multiway though. I've ended up using mine for swimming since I lack a breast friendly swim top. I nice low gore, but the cups tend to show under plunge-y shirts for me. Not the design, or the cup shape (though I recall the shape showing too), but the actual bra cups arced in too much. Band seems like a 28.
I really didn't like this bra as soon as I pulled it out of the package. The fabric felt scratchy and low quality. I liked the overall look of the bra better on, but the fabric was still scratchy. The center gore not tacking was an easy clue that this wasn't going to work for me, but the other weird thing was where the two different fabrics came together it was baggy. Almost like the fabric wasn't quite lined up right, but maybe it is just because I'm slightly more FOB and couldn't quite fill out the top. I did really like how firm the band was though.
This bra is gorgeous and super comfy. The gore height is great, feels lower than my other balconettes. It has some wrinkles on the smaller side and the wires are a bit wide. Also straps feel a bit too wide set.
I think this bra has an nice amount of projection with average narrowness - a touch wide on me. However, the cups are a bit too closed on top. The upper portion bubbles while the top seam is tighter and cuts in a bit. The top seam then tends to slip down. I don't really need a 28 band, so I'm curious if a 30E would have slightly taller cups. Gonna compare measurements.
I want this bra to work so bad - the design is so gorgeous but seems a bit more sophisticated and clean than some of Curvy Kate's other designs.
I’ve been on a search for an unlined bra that would fit my slightly FoT shape, so I thought I would try this popular style for fun. Princess is super cute definitely! It also seems like a pretty nice shape, but just overall a little bit small for me (I’m more of a 28FF but the measurements looked good in this one). The band is quite tight. Wires are very narrow when you measure them, but they seem to stretch a lot with the band when worn. I might try a 28FF if I find a cheap one.
I own this lovely in a 30F in the black/violet color way and it's a great fit, if a bit loose at some points in the month. The Bardot is soft and firm mesh at once with sexy details that don't show under a shirt. Bonus! Unfortunately this 28F I ordered was mis-sized. A first for me with Curvy Kate. You can tell because, aside from the hugeness, Curvy Kate doesn't do 3 hooks in F's with a small band. This one fits like a 28H.
This bra seems like it would be better suited to women with center fullness, as the gore width is narrow and the cup shape seems cut for that breast shape.
A bra that gives me an ugly pointy shape. Underwire is so short that my breasts escape to the armpits. I wish the cups were 2 inches taller. Multyway gives me doubleboob. I regret I kept it.
Despite this bra apparently "fitting", I still don't like it. The wires are still too wide for me and there isn't enough immediate projection. My breasts feel like they're being crushed at the bottom of the cup and the underwire creeps downward. The straps also cut into my underarm fat. The cup on my smaller breast gapes at the top. This bra is closer to a fit in the gore comfort and the moulded cups hide a multitude of sins. This bra would probably work for someone who has normal projection and relatively even fullness. The band is nice and firm, so if you're a larger 28 band you may want to size up or use an extender.
So this bra absolutely did not fit me, just FYI. I marked it pretty early in my fit journey and it won't unmark. But yeah, if you're in my size and shape range, do not go for this one.
November 2015: I am so mad, I completely forgot to take a front or back view photo!! XD Anyway, this bra did NOT go as expected. There are hardly any bras in the database to reference from, and the interpolated measurements told me that it would fit the same as the Ritzy, but once again, CURVY KATE HAS NO SIZING QUALITY CONTROL!! I AM SO PISSED I HAVE TO PAY RETURN SHIPPING FOR A MISTAKE THAT'S NOT MY FAULT!!!! T_T *cried in anguish* (Curvy Kate Bra History: 30DD Tempt Me was too deep when I first got it, while the 30DD Entice was entirely too small, probably about ...a 2 cups difference between the two OF THE SAME SIZE. The 28F Smoothie shape is a joke, way larger than any Cleo 28F, while the 28F Ritzy fits me perfectly. And NOW the Soda Pop 28F is too small. Where is the consistency?!)
This bra is about three quarters of an inch less deep than the Ritzy in 28F, and the brand new, unstretched wire width is not even 5"!!! It's just shy at about 4 7/8". So basically, this is about one and a half cup sizes too small. Brastop is out of 28FF bras, so I'm going to hope that I can reserve a 28G before it runs out. If it ends up being the size of an elephant, I think I'm going to scream and break things and cry all at once, haha.
As you can see in my photos, currently, my breasts are a mess. The wire sits on my tissue on the side, the cups are super short on the side, allowing for my tissue that is squeezed in the front to be squeezed back into my armpits under the wires even more. And yep... quadboob for days. The only thing great is the band, which is nice and firm and a true 28. If your ribcage is 29" around, definitely size up to a 30 because my band barely stretched to 29.5".
Also, the color is terrible. You know how in the picture it's a beautiful bubbly girly pink? WELL THAT'S WRONG. It's fuchsia overlayed with the brightest most garish neon hot pink you will ever see. In my yellow lighting at home, it almost looked orange! The photos actually tone down the color, but you can still see that the cups are darker (cup lining is fucshia, while the mesh is hot pink.)
I'm just so glad that the panties are nice and comfy (size 12), and the garter belt is sexy (also size 12). I probably could have sized down in the belt since I'm a 10 in my waist, but I can use the tightest hook.
So boo hoo on the color and bra size. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 360 more words
November 2015: Haha, I guess that as I continue to find bras that fit me more and more, the more and more lazy I become about leaving a review. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I mean, if it fits near perfectly, what more is there to say?!
I guess a few tiny fit issues: the wires are like a quarter of an inch too narrow and/or a bit too stiff. When I first pull the wires back as I swoop and scoop, it fits perfectly, but the wires are very stiff and don't want to bend out of shape, so eventually they relax back to their ...rigid shape and sit right on the edge between my breast root and chest wall, where I'd rather have it sit right behind it. The cup depth/projection fits my left side perfectly, but for some reason, even with a cookie added to the right side, there's like an eight of an inch gap right over my apex. Maybe the cup lace/seam is just shaped a tiny bit weirdly? This bra gives me a great shape under shirts, and gives me a slightly narrower profile from the front view than the Maddie. It does a good job at pushing my wide-set tissue forward and up. If you compare my Maddie 28FF angle view and this bra's angle view, you can see I have more projection here. My side view pictures is weird, I must have been arching my back or something, because I get more side projection as well but it's hard to see that. Maddie is still my all-time favorite, mostly because slightly too-wide wires is more comfortable than slightly too narrow, but this is definitely my second favorite bra. I bought this bra on a trip to The Pencil Test in Portland, OR (if you live within a few hundred miles, go there!!! Just look at the Yelp rating and reviews!! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />) because it's the only place that carries 28 bands that are reasonably priced in a billion mile radius (well and cuz the reviews.. the owner is a BOOB GODDESS) and found this on the sale rack for, like, $30-ish I think. I went there thinking I'd get the Charlotte in 28FF and ended up walking away with this instead! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> The fabric is very luxurious, and the color is such a rich red, I LOVE IT. My husband loves it. Win!! I've only had this bra for a little less than half a year, but I'm already on the second hook. This and the Maddie are my only fitting bras that have fit me for the last 6 months or so, so they're both quickly wearing out. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> My boobs need to stop growing!! (And I need to stop sitting on my as 24/7 on the computer and gaining weight, hehe, eating green only gets you so far...)
Sorry the review was a very large and unorganized block. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 405 more words
A surprise find at thrift store. Unfortunately not my size at all (28D) and I don't have any prior experience with Curvy Kate so I have no idea about this bra. It's a lined three-part seamed balconette bra. Tan-coloured with a white trim on the top of the cups and bows. Compared to the other Daily Boost I found in 28G, the 28F feels very sturdy.
