First Id like to say unlike some of the previous reviews ive read, I LOVE the look of this bra!! For a basic black bra it's perfect. The grey trim gives it a little flair however the construction and sheen give it a really pretty classic retro look. Exactly what I wanted. A go with everything black bra. The construction is really interesting as it is somewhat contoured/lightly padded but still a true balconette construction. I was afraid that it would have a weird shape because of this however I've been desperate to find a well fitting balconette and the unlined unpadded styles just don't agree with my ...shape. The shape this bra creates is perfect!! At least it is on me. My breasts are sort of FOB but really not all that full anywhere due to deflation. They are a bit pendulous and the tissue is very squishy. This bra gives me the perfect balconette shape that I've seen so many other bratabasers get in a well fitted balconette. The only downside... It seems to run just a tad small in the cups. Even just a half size bigger would do it. It's soooo close to being a perfect fit and likely my favorite bra to date! I get just the slightest bit of quad but it is so slight im wondering if I may just be able to stretch the fabric a little at the edges to relieve the issue. Also I have yet to wear it, only tried on so I may be able to fiddle with the straps a bit more to solve it. I'm usually a pretty solid 30DD and even a 30D in some unlined styles so Id be afraid to go up to an E and unfortunately I don't think I can exchange this one. Read more 195 more words
This bra I bought while in between sizes, or to be more precise, working out which size I generally would wear in different makes. A beautiful bra in dark grey with light mint green embroidery. I especially love the button-like detailing between the cups, on the band. It fits me perfectly, apart from the roominess in the cups. It is just too much loose fabric on the top of the cups. I don't know if it is my lack of projection or wrong shape, but the bra definitely looks big in the cups halfway up. Initially, I think, I didn't really know how a soft three-piece cup bra ...should fit after a decade of wearing mostly moulded T-shirt bras (in the wrong sizes https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> ). For me the strap width is ideal - I prefer wide straps for everyday wear - somehow feels more secure. Straps are fully adjustable and good lenght for my hight (5'2" / 158cm). Band is true to size, works fine on the loosest hook. With this size, maybe the wings could be higher, but it's not a problem. This style has virtually no cup separation at the top of the gore and not much at the bottom either, which is definitely a good thing for me. Update: Now with some tissue migration I fill in the cups, I'd say the real size would be 30E for FOB shapes. Excellent style for short roots, close together projected breasts. After doing quite a bit of research and extensive messaging with fellow user erispe I had very high hopes for this bra. Unfortunately, quad city! Which is strange for me because I usually have the opposite problem due to my lack of upper fullness and deflated on top breasts. Although I'm learning that I am way more projected than I ever thought! The good things... This bra fits perfectly everywhere except the very top of the cups. Band is perfect. Firm yet comfortable. Cup with and wire legnth are excellent for me. Straps adjust just right and the width is good. If only the top ...edge of the cup were a tad more open or a half an inch wider maybe? Or a bit more projection perhaps? Although the cups seem to be deep and wide enough. It seems like the top edge almost rolls inward creating the quad boob effect on my very soft breast tissue. It's so weird too because everything else about the cup fits great. I considered wearing it anyway because it is just so darn comfortable but the quading is just too noticeable.
Edit: after readjusting the straps, gently stretching the cup edge and pushing the wires inward a bit to create a wee bit more depth, this bra is fitting so much better. Still a tiny bit of pushing in at the edge on my larger side but not noticeable at all under my tshirt. Very comfortable and very close to a perfect fit so I'll be keeping this one for now but I do think this style is best for wider less projected breasts. Read more 168 more words
I'm just thinking that this one I wanted to talk you out of - was more in favour of the Dreamcatcher. :( Have you tried loosening the straps a bit? That can alleviate the quadding and improve the fit.
I went back and tried wearing this multiple times, hoping that maybe this time it would fit. Nope. The cups are too wide, as are the straps, and while the bottom of the cups were great for my projection, the top of the cups were just sad. I'm shallow and mostly even, so I'm not sure if this is because I should've downsized or what. Now, if I tighten it on the tightest hook and shorten the straps a ton and don't breathe, it looks great. It is absolutely gorgeous, and I like the fabric, but it's not for me (in my size, anyway)
I really love this bra. It's sexy, elegant, and comfortable. The cups do allow for a fair amount of projection and the wires are narrower than most Curvy Kate. This is the first bra that I've bought since starting my bravangelism journey that has felt normal. It doesn't feel like industrial or heavy. I love the low gore and the close cups. If you have wider rooted breasts or a lot of center fullness this may not work for you. The cups also are rather low and the straps are set for narrower frames so this bra is great for petites. The band on this really is too big for me, but I love it so much I may keep it anyways. The band runs true to size.
This bra has a three-part cup that is actually cut to accommodate shallowness! I have a few fit issues with this bra: the straps do not adjust long enough for me; and the wings are too low/short. But with regards to cup width and depth, this bra is excellent. The bra gives a lovely shape, and while the color is not for me, I certainly hope Curvy Kate continues this model/cut.
I am a 28E FoB, shallowish, wide rooted. Amazon was out of 28Es, so I bought a 28F and 30DD to try. The 28F was a little too big in the cups but the band was very firm. The 30DD's band is fine. I wear it on the middle hooks. Cup depth is good but asks for a little more upper fullness than I have. The wires are slightly too narrow, and gives me arm pit "fat", which is just side boob escaping the cups https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> The molded cups are pretty padded IMO and the shape is unforgiving. The gore is perfect! Nice and low, the top ends below my boobs come meet. I would say this bra fits "okay", but not good. I really like the way it looks but I can't justify it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" />
I read that these old CK bikinis (Bondi Breeze, Rio Ruffle and Caribbean Curves) are more shallow in the cups and open on top, that´s why I dared to try. I have shallow boobs + tall roots and I´ve had very bad luck with CK unpadded bras: they´re too deep and cups cut in at the top.
This bikini fits quite well. The wires would be a tad too narrow, but they´re quite flimsy, so fortunate for me, they stretch just enough that my boobs fit in https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> There is a little overspill in the center of cups but it doesn´t bother me. ...The shape from the side is a little pointy and not very lifted. It is not however nearly as bad as what I´ve got from CK unpadded bras! The shape is not ideal, but it´s okay.
The band is very tight, meaning it fits my ribcage perfectly! I usually need 28 band, my underbust measurement is 26-27 inches.
I also got bikini bottom UK12, a side tie one. It is perfect for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Usually my bottom size is UK12, but CK underpants in UK12 have been too small for me, I´ve found UK14 a good fit. So it may be that this bikini bottom runs bigger, maybe because it is an older fit.
Although I wouldn´t call this a "perfect" fit, because of the minor overspill in the center, if I vigorously S&S, I do think the fit is acceptable indeed! I like it very much https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 157 more words
This bra would fit perfectly if the cups were about an inch shorter.
The cups are about a centimeter too wide at the side for narrow little me and the straps are at their limits.
I am really unsure if sizing down will fix my problems....especially as I might need to size down 2 cup sizes... stupid curvy kate https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I have white(ivory?)/pink one. I wear 32D(Gossard), but 30DD also fits me! I love this bra, except its gore. The gore digs a bit... Maybe the gore is too strong or thick. But other parts of this bra makes me just happy. The colour is very vivid pink. (not powder pink!) This bra is beautiful by itself and makes amazing shape when I wear it. The cups have a nice, rounded-shape. Also, straps and band are comfortable enough. It is definitely for wide root, shallow busts.
I have two curvy kate bras: Roxie and Tease Me. Both of them are 30DD. Although they are same size, Roxie has bigger cups than Tease Me... So, it means Roxie is too big for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> By the way, the quality(not the size!) of this bra is wonderful, I love it. Maybe I will buy 30D again.
Couldn't fill the bottom of the cups properly, probably better for FOB or even breasted and I found the gore a bit high. Lovely bra for the right person.
Either much too FoT for me, or runs a bit large. There is no chance of me ever being able to fill out the top--I tried to capture that in the pictures.
The lining has a nice, soft, almost luxurious texture. The underwires were kind of painful but I'm not sure why.
I don't have much else to say--all I know is that this is now a giveaway again!
Curvy Kate softcup bras run pretty projected and have narrow wires. They rarely work in the smaller size range :/
Noted! That's a shame. I thought it was worth I try since this bra was a giveaway when I got it. I have heard few good things about CK softcups., and I will remember that for next time :P Now it shall be a traveling giveaway!
I remember seeing one (!) fit check of a 30DD person whom it actually fit. They were pretty projected, though. Let's hope it will find a good new home :)
I've finally tried on this bra now, but I cannot really give a review because it is much too small for me in my regular size. I'd say the cups run about one size smaller in the golden Tempt Me.
I'm just thinking that this one I wanted to talk you out of - was more in favour of the Dreamcatcher. :( Have you tried loosening the straps a bit? That can alleviate the quadding and improve the fit.
