I love this bra. It is one of the first bras to fit me nicely. As is usual with my bras, the gore feels a bit uncomfortable by the end of the day. It is another addition to my summer bras wardrobe. I really like that the straps are textured so they are less likely to slip from where they are set.
Finally, a Curvy Kate bra that actually fits me! I'd pretty much written off this brand as one for people who were narrower/more-projected than me (or didn't mind being stabbed by the gore, a la 32DD - Curvy Kate ยป Ritzy Padded Balcony Bra (SG2101) ), but this is just right - no gaping, comfortable cups, nice rounded shape/lift, plungey but unlikely to escape in the middle (an advantage of wide roots). However, the one downside is the seams - they give a nice shape but they show through a lot of my tops. May not keep it for this reason.
Like many Curvy Kate bras, I really wanted to like this as it's a gorgeous colour and very pretty, but the fit was just ... not quite right. Cups were a bit too projected for my shallow/wide roots, and also mysteriously pointy. Didn't keep.
This is a very oddly-shaped bra. It looks beautiful, but manages to not fit me in a variety of ways - the cups are both too big and waaaay too narrow (I tried the next cup size down and it was still too projected and even narrower). Pretty much the exact opposite of what my shallow, wide-rooted breasts need. Did not keep.
I really wanted to love this bra - it's really really pretty, from reviews it sounded like it should suit my shallow breasts, I found it as an Ebay bargain, and when I tried it on at first it looked really good, if with a little bit of gaping at the top/m of the cup (the cups are *very* open). Sadly the first time I wore it all day it became less and less comfortable, the gore felt way too high and kept digging into me, it gaped even more in the middle, and I eventually took it off in a fit of BRA RAGE.
Possibly I'm just wearing the wrong size, but I suspect the style is just wrong for me. Boo.
The bra is too big in the band and too big in the cup. The cups also look kinda bumpy and frumpy, however, I'm not sure if that's because it was shipped or if that's how the bra usually looks. This bra is a little it more padded, it's a little thicker, but it's not overwhelming. This bra was also too shallow for my average projection. The design on the bra is cute, but I don't know how wearable it is due to the design being pretty obvious.
Cute bra, however, I could do with out the jewel in the middle. I think it would make too much noise for my liking. I'm not a big fan of frilly things. Really pretty color (deep red), soft material. The bra has great projection. However, it would fit someone with more FoT-ness. I couldn't quite fill out the lace on the top.
I have the jewel bra in a blue purple pattern Love the jewel in the center PLUS I have the matching panty. yay! I am full on top with projection. Tried the 34F, but was worried that cups were just a tad too tight. Went with a 32G, and the amount of fabric under the armpit was not great. Do you find that curvy kate usually fits you well with projection?
This was the first Curvy Kate I tried. I was pleasantly surprised with the projection in the small cup :) Hoping to try more with better results! It's so hard to find projection in small cups :(
This bra is simple but comfortable. I find CK's sizing is weird for me - I have some bras in 32D (a whole cup size smaller) that fit just as well. The cups wrinkle a little bit but I think it's because of construction rather than them being too big.
i think this bra is giving ya a little "orange in a glass". i would try a cup or two larger and i think u might get a great fit. i have around the same size range as you and this bra was too "deep" for my shape, but i think it could really work on you. :)
This bra is absolutely gorgeous. It gives a very nice front projection. Only comment I can make is about CK's fit - I have some bras in 32D (so, a whole cup size smaller) and they fit just as well as this one. I'd rely more on Bratabase measurements than label size.
Are you sure you checked the fit information correctly? The bra is marked as if it fitted.
The side picture shows that the bra is very small on you. The cups are very narrow and short and are sitting on breast tissue.
I'd recommend you put a fit request for this or any of your other bras, since they are all reported as fitting but from the pictures I'd estimate 2 or 3 cups up are needed.
Hey, thanks for commenting :) My bras fit - I've tried bigger cups and they're definitely too big. I put them on a bit hastily to take pictures yesterday, but they do contain all of my breast tissue (I re-checked this morning). What you may be seeing is loose skin - I had lipo last year in my tummy and back and there's some skin that hasn't (or won't) snapped back yet, so I'm guessing that's the reason. In any case, CK bras still fit me weird. I have better luck with my Freyas.
This bra is no where near the right size for you! The cup is far too small and your band is too big to compensate. Your breast tissue is not fully enclosed in the cup, the wire should be under your armpit not sitting on the breast.
This fits better than any other Curvy Kate bra I've owned and it's so cute! I need to see what other plunge bras they have now!
I usually have problems with the wires (Curvy Kate Emily (CK5001) being too deep, the cups too shallow, and gapping at the top of the bra, but this has none of those problems.
I'm going to have to exchange this one at Amazon because one of the hooks is missing, but that's the first time I've ever seen such a problem with a Curvy Kate bra.
(Disclaimer: at the time of writing I've been wearing it a whopping hour ever)
Sooo this fits. which is odd bc so does a 2nd hand 28F Romanace. But whatever, not looking a 50% off zulily special too askance.
The top of the cups is ever so slightly too big but I think playing with the ribbon tautness will fix that. I suspect the band WILL be too big at some point bc I'm more a 30 than 32 in stretchy bands, but I can fix that too. I'm finding it amazingly comfortable.
Because it's so comfortable I'm kind of sad (but by no means dealbreaker sad) that it's so. ...very. textured. It's cute, like really cute, but it means that I cannot wear it with tshirts that fit unless I want to have polka dotted boobs. No thank you. Also people who are uncomfortable with seeing their nipples through their bra may want to pass...the fabric is SHEER, especially in the top part of the cup. The seams all come together right over my nipple (TMI? maybe TMI) & the outline of the whole thing is pretty visible. This doesn't bother me bc it's under clothes anyway but some people might not like that. Read more 95 more words
This is my first review and entry- apologies if i screwed anything up!
First off, i usually wear a 34DD, and have wide, spread out breasts that are more full on bottom, and when im not wearing a bra they basically disappear. not sure if that makes them shallow or not, but perhaps that helps some people decided on shapes. I saw this on sale and thought, why not, its hella cute, and i have free returns and shipping.
I heard this ran large in the band and anywhere from a cup size to several small as well, but it was only available in a 32 DD, and even ...though i KNEW that was probably waaay too small of a cup, i was hoping maybe it would somehow work? Wrong. the cups are so laughably small, they end before they even reach the halfway point of my breast tissue. its like a teeny tiny string bikini that just covers some nipple. this is half my own fault, since its at least a cup size away from even being a sister size, but i don't have the opportunity to try it in one higher so im not sure what that would look like.
the band i can fit into, a bit tight but not unbearable. the material also feels very giving, and i feel like it would easily relax over time. i measure a true 34 underbust, so this at least makes me more sure that if i had ordered a 34 band, it'd be far too large. It seems like i would get some great cleavage and lift from this if i could get it in my size, but again, since its so heinously off, cant be certain of anything to do with fit. the design is beautiful, the straps are thick without being ugly, and its such a pretty coral color, sigh.
