    Fits

i’ve had this bra for a couple months now and wear it whenever i need to wear a bra (besides when exercising) and it’s been one of the nicest bras i own. i particularly like the racerback clip as i find a lot of standard straps quite uncomfortable and i just like the way racerbacks feel on my body. one of my breasts is SLIGHTLY larger than the other and i find that with this bra it doesn’t affect the quality at all (just has absolutely minimal wrinkling on smaller breast). i usually wouldn’t have opted for a 10hh but it was the last size available in a ... buy 1 get free deal so i decided to give it a try. i find that usually 10gg/h fits me best so i might suggest going up a cup size with this bra as i feel if i had of gone with a gg/h i probably wouldn’t have gotten the same comfortable fit and i feel it might have been slightly small. i do find that the center does poke into me a little bit after a couple hours of wear, i have very sensitive skin so this does end up leaving red marks on me after wear but nothing too extreme (tho i tend to get marks even when wearing singlets sometimes). the pink detailing on this bra are really pretty and it makes wearing it all the more enjoyable. i’m hoping i’ll eventually get this in black as well.

It's way too small in the cups for you

At least 2 cups I think.

The quality of Elomi is always great, this is my favorite and most comfortable plunge bra I own. Because I wasn't used to wires tacking and it was uncomfortable I bent the tip of the wires outwards slightly to keep from digging into my chest. Once I did that the uncomfy poking went away.

    Didn't fit

    Note: I returned this bra.

It was my first attempt at purchasing the right size bra for me, and the ABTF calculator gave me the size 44E. Someone told me that Elomi bras were very stretchy, so I sized the band down to the 42FF. Big mistake.

The cups were perfect, but I could only wear it with TWO extenders, and the straps were digging so much into my shoulders it was hard to move (using the J-hook, as I always do). Without the J-hook, the straps were barely loose at their longest setting.

The fabric was uncomfortable for me, not as much in the cups as it was in my ... underarm. Too scratchy. I could also hear the strap rings squeaking.

Overall, it looked great in the mirror, it didn't look brilliant up close, and it was an uncomfortable hell. I haven't had the guts to order a new Matilda (because I actually liked the fit of the cups and its look) because I'm unsure of the size fit of the 44E. My other Elomi 44Es are a bit tight too.

So comfortable - I love it, really pretty colors.

    Shows under clothing a bit.

I need to use the "J" hook make it racer-back-style to get good lift.

    Hasn't set fit

This bra is my first well-fitting bra so I have a lot to learn.

I've been wearing 38G (16G in Aus) moulded bras for quite a while. They obviously didn't fit well, but I enjoyed the perfectly rounded side profile shape.

This bra fits me lovely but I don't think it suits my shape. It's a little bulgey in the middle for my close (touching) set breasts (and going up a cup size wouldn't help this as then I'd have wrinkling and empty space in the cups).

It also gives a very artificial, slightly pointy shape. It's rounded and smooth but the apex is more pointed than perfectly round. ... I do really prefer a perfectly round, almost ball-like shape. I think large breasts deserve to be shaped well.

It is also rather separating which doesn't help my close-set bust. Looking down, my apexes are pointing about 135 degrees from one another (if you were to draw a line from one apex to the gore and then to the other apex, it's about 135 degrees). I really prefer a projected cup, where this is more like 90 degrees.

Where are the rounded bras? Help!

Closest to fitting I have gotten. Only problem was the digging in the armpit area caused by the straps being to far apart and the gore being a little to short to be comfortable.

I first bought a Matilda in 36HH and had the same issue with the band being too stretchy and riding up that I have had with other Elomis. The bra fitter at Nordstrom's recommended I don't try to size up a cup, and I think she was right. In fact, I'm almost wondering if I could size *down* a cup, since this one is still a little droopy shaped. But surely a 34HH would be too small?

I like the look of the Matilda and find it scratchy when I first put it on, but then really comfortable as soon as my body adjusts to the fabric. I ... find Elomis more comfortable than Panaches generally and don't have the problems with the wires going too high, even though the wing height is one of the taller ones I've tried.

The Matilda is a four-part cup with sheer, non-stretchy mesh on each panel. The top panel with the embroidered decoration is a finer mesh and the side support panel appears to be reinforced with a second ply. The mesh on the wings is stretchy. Elomis always have really nice, soft felt covering the wires, band, and straps. Oh, the Matilda also has a built-in J-hook to wear the straps in a racerback configuration.

This Matilda is surprisingly comfortable! The mesh doesn't seem particularly soft, but it's comfy enough I think I could wear it all day. The 36HH size is probably wrong for me, as the band is not tight enough. Elomis seem to be stretchier. The top cup is non-stretch mesh, so full-on-top ladies may have more difficulty. I think I'm pretty even vertically, so the cups fit nice and taut, but not tight. I have ongoing difficulties with bands slipping down out of my IMF, maybe due to shape issues, and this is no exception. A 34 band may help.

I tried this bra before when I wore a smaller band size. 40JJ - Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) was too big. This one fits much better but it’s still too tall and wide at the sides.
