Me: soft, empty, even in a bra

This is basically the same review that I wrote for the HM Burek. I ordered several custom HM bras (since the 3DMs don't seem to be working for me). The Trefl and Bezyk are great because the lace is very stiff, but the Burek and Malinka don't work for me because the lace is softer and my breasts are really soft and not self-supporting in the slightest.

That said, this bra actually fits fine, it's just not optimal for me so I won't keep it. I am simply gutted over it, however. I really feel that the color and lace on this bra are so so SO pretty and I just can't seem to make it work for me. Ah well!

In someone with slightly firmer breasts than I have, this would give the round, lifted "apples" shape.

    Me: empty, soft, short root

I custom ordered this bra in the HM (half-cup style) along with several others.

This one doesn't quite work for me (vs the Trefl and Bezyk) because the lace of the cups is not as stiff and isn't supportive enough for my very soft breasts. It doesn't look bad, per se, but it's not perfect. For someone with firmer breasts and a taller root, I think this would be amazing.

The HM is a very secure style because of the high gore (which is quite narrow for a balconette IMO). It gives a round "apples" look.

The band is quite firm and I would size up if I were to order another one. The cup volume is good however. It's been my experience that most people wear 1 size smaller in the unpadded styles.

At first I found this bra felt awkward, and I thought the style completely wasn't right for me. It's made for breasts that are fuller on top and don't need to be lifted from the sides, like mine do.

I bought this bra on balkonetka in the days when I was buying everything with the “HM” prefixhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> This is a prototype, never put into production.
I was pretty sure of the size as all the HM bras have similar cups. This one is not an exception, the only difference, as often, is the shape it gives, it's a little bit less rounded.
The band is tight, the straps are rather short, but long enough for me. The cups run similar to all the HM bra, in my case it means one cup size bigger than usual.

  5. Hm Gold (267)

I bought this bra when I discovered that I was particularly compatible with the HM style in one cup size smaller than usual. It was no longer in production, but Ewa kindly agreed to sew it on my special order.
Every HM bra is a little different in it's construction and shape, some of them run smaller in the cups (@Ewa Michalak Hm Granatowy Motyl (142)), but HM Gold, the last model in this style, is slightly different.
I'm convinced that these differences are related to the material it's made of. It's a very thin lace with a gold thread. As this material is very delicate, it can't support the ... breast weight as good as other HM bras. That must be the reason why there's an additional support at the cups and straps connection. This additional material has it's advantages – it resolves the problem of the cup edge that sometimes doesn't "adhere" to the breast tissue. In this model it gives a smooth line on the top. The inconvenient is that it also modifies the shape the bra gives in profile and which is now much less projected, I would even say that it's quite flat comparing to the other HM bras.
But my biggest problem with this bra is the weird cup shape I get and which I would describe as “humpbacked”https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> As the lace doesn't have the same thickness everywhere, and because my breast tissue is not very firm, it forms a kind of humps where the lace is thinner. The shape under the clothes is not very attractivehttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Concerning the underwires, they're a little bit more flexible and shorter than in other HM's.

My overall opinion about this bra is quite mixed. It's a very beautiful bra made of a delicate sheer lace and decorated with nice details. The most important for me though is the shape it gives as it's what people see in firsthttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> I don't wear this bra very often but I kept it in the hope that it will fit better if my size changes in the future.

Me: soft, FOB, empty on top

After my success with Ametyst, I thought I would try a cup size down in Milady since the measurements here suggest they are not that different and I can wear smaller sizes in the half-cups because I am quite FOB.

This is definitely the size I like best and my new favorite bra! I feel held in very securely and yet have an excellent rounded cleavage. The cups are about the same width as the E, but a little bit shallower which pushes more breast above the bra in a sexy way.

The black lace over the red is very beautiful and all the little Ewa details are in place. The band is slightly stretchy, but I'm not finding it quite as bad as others are describing.

    I love love this bra.

This is the first time I've tried the HP style and I absolutely love it. It is different from the CH and PL in that it holds everything in towards the chest so there is not too much jiggle even thought the top of the breast is exposed. Because it is so open on top (but still deep on the bottom) and there is not much cup depth difference, I can get away with wearing multiple sizes (and in fact prefer the fit of the 65E, even though this also fits).

This particular bra has a stretchy band for an Ewa 65. I can easily fasten it on the 2nd or 3rd hook. It has gathered lace on the front which can still be worn under a tighter shirt, but also gives the illusion of a larger bust. I wasn't sure I would like the color at first, but once on it is very very pretty.

I am keeping it in the 65E.

  8. Chp Cappuccino (317)

After having some fit issues with CHP Ametyst in 65E, I wondered if going down one cup size would resolve my problems. I tried CHP Cappuccino in 65DD and I must admit that some issues disappeared.
First, I don't see and feel a big difference in cup size between 65DD and 65E. When I saw the bra, I thought that the cups had the same volume.
The fit is also similar to 65E. The cups run just a little bit lower and there is less projection. I have also a negligible quad-boob effect.
The band is still very stretchy and loose, have to fasten it on the tightest hook.
The underwires are the same as in Ametyst, very flexible, not very supportive, but curiously the center gore lays flat.

  9. Hm Granatowy Motyl (142)

HM Granatowy Motyl in 65E was my first EM bra. I bought it because of it's beautiful and delicate design. When I lost on weight, it became far too big in cups and lately I decided to find my first effuniak in my actual size. Happily, I have found it on balkonetka.
The paricularity of this bra, is that the previous owner has changed the straps. There were two sort of straps in the original version: the first one were violet and wide, some users complained that they were itchy. The second type of straps were fully adjustable blue ones, with a violet ribbon in the front part. ... Theses straps were extremely strechy and I had to reajust them several times a day.
My new straps are blue, wide and wery comfortable, much more than the original ones. As the straps constitue a part of the band in the back, the band is much more stable now. The original band in this model is very strechy.
Concerning the cups, they run normal for the HM style which means that I had to go down one cup size (I wear 65e in padded styles). The cups are a little bit smaller than in other HMs though.
The center gore is very high, like in others HMs, which is sometimes unconfortable at the end of the day.

Even though my measurements put me at a 28E, this bra did not work for me. It gapped slightly on my bigger breast and gapped badly on my smaller one. The band is quite tight for a 30, but it fit me fine because I have a smaller underbust measurement. I am sad it doesn't work because the quality is great and it gave me a great shape (on the bigger side, at least).

I love the design of this bra. The pale colour and the embroidery are very delicate. The cups are quite similar to the other HM bras, but the shape it gives is much more natural. I feel the underwires a little bit larger than in other HMs in this size even though the measures don't confirm this impression. The straps are difficult to adjust, but once it's done they don't change its length. I find the band to be normal for an EM bra, rather tight but stretchy.
Magnolia is a perfect bra for hot summer days because of the sheer material. It can be worn under white clothes.

It's one of the first HM bras. I need the same cup size as in other bras in this style, but the fit is slightly different. The cups are extremely low. They give a very upfront and rounded shape. The support is surprising for a non-padded half cup bra. The band is standard for an EM bra, quite tight. The straps are rigid in front, strech and adjustable in back.

I love this bra. It's so comfortable and the little tassels at the gore are hilarious to me. The bra itself is lightly lined, and gives a great shape. The seams, despite expectation, do not show through shirts very much. The band on this one is just too big, but the cups are a great fit, and this color works well enough as a nude on my pale skin.

This is a pretty plunge bra, with black lace over beige cups. The cups seemed to fit at first, but scooping and swooping caused some quadriboob on my left side. The band is snug, even on the loosest hook. The cups create a nice, not super pointed shape at the top cup piece as I've noticed in other, similar cups. The wires aren't super narrow, and the cup depth really works for my shape. I wouldn't mind slightly wider wires though.

I'm a little sad, but I've decided to return and size up in my next plunge.

This is a cute bra. The lace is pretty, and is a true melon color (that my camera won't capture). The cups are for a projected shape (that I don't have), and are deep with narrower wires. The band is the stretchiest of all the EM bras that I ordered so far, and was most comfortable on the tightest hook. There was some gaping at the top of the cup near the straps. The wires go up pretty high on the sides.

Otherwise, the lace is stiff, but not the least bit scratchy. I will be returning, since my shape is so much different then the cups. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

This is a very pretty bra with a nice cup shape. I've decided to return it, because unfortunately the cups are too small, but I sized up for another CHP style bra. I am not sure if the wires are too short or too narrow, but when I first put it on, I had some escaping boob on the left side, and it feels a little like the wires are sitting on breast tissue. When I scooped everything in, I quadriboobed on the left side. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Band seems snug, but it may be the cups being slightly small. I'm not sure what to think of Ewa Michalak bands so far, except that they are both snug and stretchy.

OMG!! I think this is the second bra that actually fits me perfectly!!! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

It looks like a simple, gray everyday bra. Not too much details, it is very basic. BUT it gives heck of a cleavage!! Band is quite tight but I had no trouble attaching it. Cups are just perfect, wire wide enough.

I have nothing bad to say about this bra, of course I haven´t actually wore it for a whole day. It does feel very comfortable and tight enough, supportive. Quality feels very good!

ETA. Doesn´t fit after all... I´m quadboobing on both boobs. So I need bigger cups.

Enthousiastic as I was about my HM Gold I decided to order this HM Halfek Fioletowy Krokodyl. It is a discontinued model and there was only one left in stock, 65DD, which I assumed to be my size.

    Bra description:

A handsome bra with cups made of soft but sturdy, completely see-through, and beautifully embroidered black mesh. The cup edges are embellished with a somewhat clunky lace and very dark purple -- what I would call aubergine -- ribbon. The collar combination is very subtle and very much 'me'. The same lace and ribbon adorn the centre gore and part of the straps. Two small black bows mark the ... points where the elastic parts of the straps start, roughly around collarbone height (the adjustable part of the straps is therefore still as good as normal length). The wings are made of a double layer of stretch mesh, the top layer sporting a tiny decorative dot pattern. All edges are finished with scalloped elastic and the elastic parts of the bra straps have decorative looped edges, which also prevent the adjusters from slipping.

    Bra fit:

The cups fit quite similar to the cups of my 65DD HM Gold. The fit on my larger right breast is spot on, but the smaller left side gaps -- the clunky lace border along the cups of this bra makes this situation clearly less forgiving than is the case with the HM Gold. Worse though is that the band on this bra is MUCH stretchier than the band on the HM Gold. That one is only just tight enough for my 27"/69cm ribcage (really, I think I could go down a band size there too), but this one feels more like a regular 32/70 or a (tight-ish) 34/75 band. I'm sure it would fit someone with a 70D/DD or even 75C/D quite comfortably (the cups run large-ish in HM). When I tighten the straps the back starts riding up. Also, the straps, for some reason, aren't as comfortable as the ones on the HM Gold. Maybe that is because they are attached directly to the cups and start practically from my armpit, whereas on the HM Gold there is a small triangular piece of mesh between the cups and the straps, which effectively extends the 'armscye' ... or maybe the lace-and-ribbon straps of the HM Halfek Fioletowy Krokodyl simply aren't as smooth and comfortable against my skin in that area as the mesh and elastic of the HM Gold.

    Conclusion:

Such a pity that this model runs so loose in the band as it is quite handsome and quite my style! Looking at the measurements others have given for this model I wonder whether this one is subject to a production error: none of the other sizes seem to be THIS loose and stretchy. Since this model is discontinued there's unfortunately no point in trying to exchange it for a smaller band size, so I think I'll just return it or possibly exchange it for a different model.
