Pretty bra, I bought this used and really like the cross hatched pattern on the cups and band. I also thought it was navy when I got it, but it's black.
I'm not crazy about the S model on myself and since I don't love the pattern I'm going to send it on.
I soooo wanted this bra to work, it is my first try with EM and I am enamored by the quality! It's a beautiful bra and very nicely crafted! Unfortunately it's too big for me. Even with the inserts and my own inserts the cups still have a tiny bit of gaping. Since I'm going to be changing BC soon to a less hormonal one I don't think I will be able to wear it at all in a month or so. Because of that, this beautiful bra needs a new home. Seriously, it's such a nice quality bra, I'm very sad to see it go. I think it would be good for someone with narrow (and slightly tall) root, even-FoT shape and is in between a 28 and 30 band (leaning towards 28).
Oh noes! I was another person interested in this bra but you bought it before me :P I'd love to take this off your hands if you are going to sell it!
Awesome! I will definitely be posting this for sale soon.
It is a nice bra, isn't it? I was so sad that it had been discontinued when this one didn't fit. I am sure it will find a nice home eventually, though. She was very popular. My other listings are jealous.
There are a few of my bra who must be so jealous of the other ones that keep coming and going! This one is probably next! It will be a great basic bra for the right person, I think that's why it's so popular!
I´ll begin with the band. It is a little looser than in other EM bras I´ve tried. I normally wear 28 bands and in EM 65 has been good for me. In this bra, however, I need to close the band to the middle / tightest hooks to get a good fit.
The cups are maybe a tiny bit bigger than in other EM 65F bras I´ve tried, although I´m not 100% sure. They come with a removable padding. I don´t like to wear the padding, but the cups fit better when I wear it.
What I don´t like in this bra is how wide the straps are. I´d fdefinitely ...like them to be narrower. They are like 2 times the width of "normal" straps. The straps and the padded cups make this bra sturdier and "heavier" than I´d like, but the bra still looks very good and the colour is amazing.
I have wide root and shallow boobs, and the bra fits me well. There is uplift and I think the wires are wide enough for me (although I´ll have to see, sometimes I think a new bra is good but after a while I realise the wires are indeed too narrow). EM is said to have narrow and deep cups, I think that applies to bigger cup sizes. Read more 109 more words
I bought this bra from another Bratabase member on my old account last year knowing it wouldn't be a perfect fit, but I really wanted an Ewa Michalak!
Firstly, the band and cups are both too big in my opinion however despite this I still feel somewhat great in it, especially when I also have tight clothing on as it pushes my boobs even closer together and they touch (woo!).
The band - the band seems to ride up on either of the hooks, but I can't tell if that's just the bra's shape or it is actually too big, or if it's ...too small and the straps are pulling it up? It also REALLY hurts at the end of the day on the front of my ribs where they begin to curve. Again, not sure if this is because it is too small, which wouldn't make sense as my ribcage is at least 10cm smaller than its maximum stretch, or a material or simple incompatibility isssues.
The hooks - the hooks appear to be stretching even though the band is able to stretch 10cm bigger than my ribcage, I am really not sure why this is.
The cups - despite my biggest breast perimeter being 24cm and the cup being 24cm I definitely feel that the cups are too big. It's probably because of the shape of my boobs and that they're quite soft after having a baby. The extra padding that this bra comes with is quite thin so it barely makes a difference and because of this I prefer to add another set of padding from another bra I have which does give me a slightly better fit. I also feel that I'd like the outer side of the bra to be slightly higher to keep that sneaky side tissue in! Nonetheless, in spite of these issues the cups do generally give me a lifted perky look.
The gore - the gore doesn't hurt when I wear the bra really, but I did get red marks which have now turned into permanent bruising. I assume this will go when I stop wearing this bra. I think this may be because it is too low and sits right on that center bone.
The straps - I have to tighten the straps quite a bit to feel enclosed and lifted, I am not sure if this is because the cups are too big but I suppose this is likely the reason. I get red marks from the straps no matter how loose I have them, and unfortunately the comfort straps that come with the bra do not shorten enough for me. I think my boobs are somewhat high on my chest and I am 5'5 which is probably why, if this helps...
The wings - they are quite small I suppose, and I think that I prefer something a little bigger but it definitely isn't an issue. The wings are quite stretchy also.
I think I have covered most things... so overall, despite all of the issues I have I continue to wear this bra as it gives me the best uplift that I have known that didn't involve wear a bra that was obviously too small. I think that Ewa Michalak could be great for me if I find a better fitting bra and possibly a balconette as opposed to a plunge.
I ordered the Ewa Michalak 3D Bambino Bra in 65F (UK 30F) at the same time I ordered three other 65F 3Ds. While the center gore is wonderfully low and comfortable in all four, the Bambino's cups are significantly higher than those of the 3D Szykus, Satine, and Trapez. Most of that extra coverage is in the area surrounding the center gore. I laid the Bambino under each of the other three, one at a time. The Bambino's cups are, at some points along the top edges, as much as an inch higher.
The 3D Bambino's sides are noticeably lower than those of the 3D Szykus and Satine. I ...have an average width root, I believe, with lots of side fullness. My tissue is apparently quite firm and hard to push front and center unless wires and wings go fairly high. While my boobs are quite close set, their firmness doesn't allow spillage in the center, even with a very low gore and low coverage cups.
The 3D Bambino's combination of relatively full coverage cups and low sides is exactly the opposite of what works best for me.
Another fit issue is the straps. A fetchingly narrow 1/2" wide, the straps are too long even adjusted to their shortest length. This is not even close to being an issue in the 3D Szykus, Satine, and Trapez. The straps' looseness makes it hard to judge whether the cups are the correct size. I believe the cups would fit well if the straps were tightened properly. As it is, the cups gape a bit at the top if I don't stand up straight. To some degree this happens with most bras, of course. Fit is judged when standing in a neutral position, but the Bambino is less forgiving of bad posture because of the loose straps. I am, however, quite petite.
The band feels firm but not excessively tight.
The center gore decoration, a pair of tiny cotton balls, is adorable. They look like miniature cat toys. Read more 224 more words
I got this lightly used (worn twice and hand washed). I knew the band would be tight, but I need the smallest possible gore. The bratabase measurements of various sizes indicate that the gores in 65 bands are lower than the gores in 70 bands. Fortunately, the 2 hook extender I have on hand fits it. It fits well with the extender and the gore is barely acceptable, so this was a good call.
Update: I wore this riding hard all day in a horse clinic (12 hours; in the arena at speed and on rocky, hilly trails, on my big moving horse). Worked beautifully, and I had princess boobs all day. <3
Plunges are often a difficult thing for my boobs since my soft tissue is always trying to escape out the middle, but the 3D style might be my PERFECT plunge.
The cup shape is really kind of a marvel of architecture. It's somewhat shallow at the bottom which really pushes the breasts up, but the apex of the cup is pointed more towards the center to really capture any wayward boob and keep it in. I really can wear this bra all day with minimal re-adjustment.
The fabric on this bra is very soft and smooth and comfortable and the straps ...are covered and half-adjustable. The band is a typical Ewa 65 which fits perfectly for me. It's lined in soft white cotton and comes with removable pads for asymmetry (or just extra oomph!).
The color is really lovely on my pale skin - it's not quite as bright as it looks online and the black lace lays flat under clothing.
The more I look at the pictures, the more I realize I really really love this bra. I'll be adding more to my collection. Read more 85 more words
As soon as I saw this bra on the EM website I was dying to have it (or to try any of her soft cup bras), but it wasn't in anything close to my size. Just last week it popped up on r/braswap in a 30F, and though by multiple different accounts (bratabase measurements, someone's suggested method for deciding your EM size) I needed a 30FF, I had to at least try it. At least for the HM bras, I will certainly need a 30FF. I've yet to get my hands on any of her other styles, but I kind of would really like to try the Pl ...Onyks.
Anyway! About the bra... this is the most feminine thing I own, I'm pretty certain. Typically that would mean I'd hate it, but this is really just too beautiful for me to feel that way. The cup is primarily black mesh with floral embroidery that somehow doesn't infuriate me like most flowery things do (I think it's the black on black - it just ends up looking very elegant). Below the embroidery it's pretty much entirely see-through, which makes me slightly uncomfortable, but nobody's seeing it besides me. An emerald green (one of my favorite kinds of green! I wish I could find an entire bra of this color) ribbon is woven into the fabric along the edges of the cup and along the front of the straps, which makes them only partially adjustable. This has caused issues for me in other bras, as I'm only 5'2 and some, but it's not a problem in this case. The wings are a double layer of mesh (the outside one polka-dotted), and the band feels quite tight. My tightest underbust measurement is somewhere between 27.5 and 28, and I feel most comfortable using an extender for this bra (either 1 or 2 columns extra). Unfortunately the top edge of the cup where the ribbon is doesn't lay flat, so it'll show up under thinner shirts, but that's okay.
The cups are definitely too small for my bigger side, and I'm even quadboobing a touch on my small side. However, since it's a true half cup and very open on top, if I shift my boobs a certain way I can mask the quadboobing on even my larger side. The wires, though... those are PERFECT. I'm loathe to go up a cup size because they fit exactly where they're supposed to, but maybe they won't get too much wider. Can't wait to try another EM bra :]
I ordered this a month or two before Dec. 2012. Since then it has stretched out a bit, but I am going to review this bra in the condition I got it.
First, I normally wear a 30F in Ewa Michalak. Since I wasn't sure what to order in this bra (as it was very new at the time and there were no reviews about it), I went with my usual size.
From what I understand, the CHP style is a mixture of the Ch half-cup and the Hp half-cup style -- it presses the breasts down and upwards, but still contains slightly deeper cups than the Hp style, ...most likely thanks to the Ch. I find that this bra does exactly what it advertises -- pushing up and out, rather than just flattening your breasts down to your chest. It gives me a very rounded, forward shape when I wear it, even moreso than my Hm (soft-cup EM) or Ch style bras.
The cups are pretty smooth with the Mak. It still has three seams, as with most EM bras, but they aren't visible under shirts (unless I wear something thin and clingy, which isn't often). The top seam, where the breast and cup meet, is also a bit flatter than the usual EM bra that has detailing or trim. This makes it work great beneath black t-shirts.
The straps don't bother my arms (pretty crucial, since I have narrow shoulders), though it is a bit tougher to adjust the length than smoother strapped bras, like many Freya soft-cups, but it won't make your fingers sore.
The band is the only place where I had issues with this bra. As I said, I wear 65F (30F) in Ewa Michalak bras, so I ordered this bra in a 65F. The band runs extremely tight -- I could fasten it, but it felt a bit painful to wear on my 29.5" underbust. I imagine this is due to the band being primarily lace. I ended up ordering an extender for this bra later on, which made it comfortable to wear and equivalent to my other 30 bands. I'd say if you're a 27-28" underbust, you will want to order this bra in a 30" band -- it runs that snug.
Thankfully, it has stretched out a slight bit since then, making it more wearable without an extender, but it has taken 2-3 months.
Other than that, this bra is fantastic, beautiful, and very comfortable. Read more 301 more words
This appears to be the exact same as the plunge (PL) style bra with nursing clips added. It's a nice light color that matches my fair skin quite well. Unfortunately it is at least 1-2 cup sizes too small for me although the band fits well. There are nice decorative touches...bows, scalloped edging, detail on the straps. Overall much nicer than most nursing bras I've tried and I've tried a LOT through 3 kids...there are very few 28/30 bands and usually wire-free which I personally can't stand. Lining is very soft and feels like cotton, the padding is awesome for hiding prominent nipples and/or nursing pads.
Its so cute and lovely...em going to order this... i am feeling some discomfort with M&S nursing bras...em looking for the nice ones.... i like it bow on drop cup clip....
I am not quite sure what to say about this bra. I really wanted it to fit! Having decided maybe freya just wasn't the right brand for me, then curvy kate just wasn't the right brand for me, I really wanted Ewa Michalak to be perfect! This is very pretty but something is wrong with the fit, but it is a bit hard to put my finger on just what. I bought the 65ff and the 65f (as you can't return the 60) and it is not too bad in the band however, it doesn't seem supportive enough, which may be because it is ...a 65. Also I kept tightening the straps, hoping to make it more supportive and correct the fit of the cups, so by the end the bra had ridden up (but not sure if this is really because it is too big, as it is only a fraction too big, or just because of the amount i tightened the strap). I can't work out which size fits better, neither seem quite right. I think the 65f is better though as there seems to be excess fabric in the 65ff. Read more 94 more words
excited to find a good fit in the unlined ewa's! i get a bit of wrinkling at the wire but generally the fit is pretty perfect across the board. the gore tacks nice and hard.
like other reviews said, there isn't a tonnnn of support but it feels perfectly fine for everyday wear. i get a really pretty shape and sometimes my nipples poke through; who needs the skims nipple bra.
this is a really close fit for me? the cups are filled nicely if i have good posture with shoulders back, but if i put them forward i get gapping at the top. i may go a cup size down in (60F?) or try some cookies.
the bra itself is gorgeous with the jacquard fabric and ultra comfortable.
Just trying this on the gore doesn't feel shabby but throughout the day if I remember correctly it gets a bit stabby. Not as much as my Ewa Michalak SF in the same size (65F) but still not comfortable. Wish straps could be tighter and that underwire would go higher. Fit the cups perfectly otherwise. The stretchy lace on top is nice for my FOT shape. The tightness of the band has held up after 6 months of use! Not comfortable but pretty. I am FOT, projected, and have tall roots.
I always think this bra is too big until I scoop and swoop and then it is perfect. I've worn for over 6 months and band is still holding up/hasn't loosened. This is a really pretty bra! Definitely give a cakes on a plate look in t-shirts and tight fitting tops. I am FOT, projected, and have tall roots.
My fit needs: projected, immediately projected, slightly narrow, fob with tall roots (functionally even), very close set, very center full. I really love the mermaid look of this bra and the colors are gorgeous. Like the other m's, it has a tight band and low gore. But I think this one doesn't have as much immediate projection and is a little wider. The straps are also set wide and it almost feels like the straps on my 65FF m perła or m gorzka. I can wear it without the pads but with pads, I spill over. I would love to try this in a 65FF but I'm not sure if that would help the shape.
In English brands, I usually wear 30G, or I can make do with 30FF. Think I misunderstood advice about being able to "size down" in BM/SF cuts--maybe people mean you can size down compared to your size in padded Ewa Michalak. 65G/65FF turned out to work best for me in these cuts, just like in UK bras.
Just like the BM Magnolia, this would be perfect with just a tiny bit more immediate projection. I have tall and narrow roots, above average projection, and I’m close set and full on bottom.
This bra is nearly perfect for my shape (I am slightly projected, full on bottom, with narrow and tall roots and close set). The only thing that could be better for me is if there was some more immediate projection. There’s a little bit of wrinkling at the bottom.
Oh noes! I was another person interested in this bra but you bought it before me :P I'd love to take this off your hands if you are going to sell it!
