Ewa wouldn't make this one in my usual size of 70DD, so I tried the 70E in hopes that it would run small or I could add extra padding to make it work, but unfortunately it's just too big in the cup for me. I love the design, it's plain enough to hide well under shirts but pretty enough that even though it's beige it doesn't feel like a punishment. I thought the satin ribbon trim on the cups would show through shirts but it doesn't really. It comes with removable pads and 3 sets of straps: wide padded ones, regular straps, and a long halter strap. I ...had a problem with the straps popping off in the front but once I swapped the left and right straps (to change the way the hooks are oriented) that wasn't an issue. The straps were a little wideset on me but I think in the correct size it wouldn't be a problem. The hook spacing is wider than my other bras from this brand, probably to make it more stable if you're wearing it halter neck. It is true to size for Ewa Michalak. Read more 85 more words
My first Ewa Michalak bra! When I initially tried the bra on and scooped I had ridiculous gaping along the top edge. I was utterly confounded. This was technically a cup volume smaller than what I usually wear so why did it seem so big? Then I had an idea. Maybe I was having orange in a glass effect from not scooping all my tissue in. After all this is the first bra I've had that has wires as narrow as my root.
So I vigorously scooped all my tissue from the sides and bottom of my best into the ...bra and voila! The cups are now almost completely filled out. Unfortunately it is still a cup size too large for me. Since buying this bra I've bought a 65E and it fits much better. No wrinkling at the top edge and a more lifted, rounded shape.
Since I heard EM runs tight in the band I figured 70/32 would be fine but this band is far too loose for me. I'm sure part of that is because it's had a couple of owners before me but I still think going back to my usual 65/30 bands and using an extender for a bit would be fine for me. Right now I'm wearing the bra on its tightest hook and it is still a smidge loose.
Overall I'm quite happy with Ewa Michalak and their amazingly narrow wires. In the future I will look for 65F in their unlined bras. Now I just need to get my hands on one of their padded bras to see if I'll take 65F or FF in those since I've heard they run a little smaller. Read more 183 more words
I got this bra in an exchange knowing that it wouldn't fit, so no surprise here that it doesn't fit. The cups are massively too big and the wires are a little wide as well.
This bra is quite simply absolutely enormous on me. It takes the asymmetry correction pads it came with, plus the ones from my 3d Wodzianka that I don't use with it, to eliminate the worst of the gaping, and even then it's not completely gone. The effect of all that padding is pretty much what wearing a Wonderbra is supposed to be like: instant gain of 2 cup sizes, and mega cleavage!
Beautiful, non-stretchy lace and a gorgeous pattern! The cup width is nice and narrow, just like I was hoping. The gore is nice and low (but not too low) and does not poke at all.
Unfortunately, I found that the bra lacks the depth I need. I got wrinkles on the bottom and a straight line at the top. The band does run true to size (I was hoping it was tight like my other Ewa, but I can only wear this on the tightest hook), and the cups should be an accurate for someone with a little less projection than me.
This was my second shot at trying an Ewa Michalak bra and the results are good! The band fits comfortably snug and the cups fit like a glove. I wore it today and I didn't have any discomfort, especially with the gore since my boobs sit close together. On this bra, it sits low enough that it doesn't cause any problems. I'm also full on top and generally have issues with the top edge cutting in, but the cups on this bra are more open and has less coverage than other bras I own, so there was no problem.
The support is good and the shape is fantastic. There's some lift and the shape is rounded.
This bra is so gorgeous! I love the way it looks! As my very first soft cup bra ever I have to say I love the shape it gives! Uplifted but not pointy. The top of the cup gapes slightly on my smaller side, but it doesn't show at all under a shirt.
I got this from another Bratabase person with the intent of altering the band, so I expected the band would not fit and I was right. But it wasn't nearly as ill-fitting as I thought it would be - on the tightest hooks, it nearly fits, and I was able to wear it all day with only a little discomfort. I will definitely be shortening the band still though.
The lace at the top is too loose and the straps are just a bit wide. Looking at it I suspect that if I bring the straps in a bit, that will fix the fit problems with ...the lace.
I do not mind doing these alterations because this bra fits *beautifully* otherwise. It is gorgeous, sturdy, comfortable, and gives a great shape. I love the height at the sides and the wires are a good width for me. Other bras fit me so strangely that I was getting frustrated, but this is just wonderful. This style of bra is the one I will be stockpiling in case civilization crashes so that at least I will have great bras for a few years. Read more 85 more words
Hi there! I was wondering if you ended up altering this bra and if you perhaps had pictures/a tutorial of how you did it?
I did not end up altering it - I took a good hard look at my ability to finish projects (minimal) and decided to list it instead (when I get around to it).
Super pretty unlined lace bra. I usually wear an Ewa 70DD, so I figured this would be to big, and alas! it was. I can only compare it to a 70DD, so here I go. The band was true to a Ewa 70 (to all my Ewa 70s, at any rate), and was very comfortable. Really comfortable, actually. The wires were much to wide for me , and the cups were too large (definitely larger than a 70DD, which is good, since its a 70E). There are lots of good photos out there of this bra, and since it clearly didn't fit me, I have no useful photos to add.
This bra is gorgeous. It is a supple black lace, and is extremely comfortable. I was desperate to try Ewa's new styles, even though I'm typically a 65DD in her soft cups, I decided to try this one
This actually fits like a 70D/DD, which is surprising, and indicative that Ewa's new S cuts may actually work for those of us who are one cup size below the S/SM cut off, if you can handle the wire width.
While this fits like it's one cup size smaller, the wire width is not Ewa's typically narrow wires, they are a teensy wider, as you would expect from a cup size larger, but the cup does not gap as one would expect with a cup size up.
I bought this bra because I have a 70DD 3DM Burek that has a band that stretches to 29" and is a tiny bit small in the cup, so I figured a 70E would be great in the band and the cup. Unfortunately, the band stretches to 31" so it would be better for a 30 band (I wear 28s and 30s). It is really pretty and comfortable but doesn't fit me correctly. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra runs a bit shallow in the Cups. I would suggest ist to 30E/70DD wearers, as the band also provides a normal amount of stretch. The fabric is very feminine and does not stretch, so it can provide full support.
Wire width and height on the sides are my biggest challenges in all bras. EM bras have a reputation for narrow, deep cups, but my experience with 3Ds and the Strapless Toffi in 65F made me optimistic. I've tried a couple 3Ds in 65F, and the wires seemed wide enough and also high enough on the sides, as long as I removed the pads. The 65F Strapless Toffi seemed just a bit too small, so I was bulging a little on the sides, but overall cup width seemed okay. I then discovered the 65FF Strapless Black fit quite well.
Anyway, before I found the 65FF Strapless Black was a ...good fit, I bought the 70E Ewa Michalak CHP Femme Fatale from a fellow Bratabaser. I expected it to fit, as long as I removed the pads and fastened it on the tightest hooks. Even wearing it on the tightest hooks, which stretches the wires back, the cups are too narrow. There is an annoying amount of side bulging. With my arms down, it's not a problem, but it's still annoying. Maybe I'll want to wear this under a tank top one day. The front looks great. My firm tissue makes the too small cups create a very heaving bosom look.
The CHP Femme Fatale is striking, and there is a place for overtly sexy, yet high quality, bras in my wardrobe. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> In its way, the CHP Femme Fatale is a classic. Read more 139 more words
Despite this bra was too big for me (I'm more of a 70DD in PL/CHP, 70D in the unpadded styles), and there was gaping on top, I was amazed by the rounded shape it gave me! Under a shirt, it looked even better than ALL the 3DM bras I tried. It's a pity this style doesn't come in smaller sizes, as it works equally well with them and fits much better than the 3DM cut, which never gave me the rounded-ness, support and uplift of the SM style.
This is one sexy bra! The lace patterns on the cups are incredibly beautiful. I'm not sure if this particular style runs a little small in the cups, though. My only other CHP is the Gazeta in 32F which is way too big. I thought sizing down in this bra would be perfect, but the cups are too small. So I'll be ordering a 32F.
I think it's actually Gazeta that runs large and Famme Fatale is TTS as far as I can tell.
The 70DD Famme Fatale and 65E CHP Ametyst I have fit approximately the same in cup volume (as they theoretically should being sister sizes, though the cup proportions and placement are slightly different). My 70DD Gazeta is definitely larger in the cup than both of these by at least a half size.
Ah, that would make sense. I wonder why it's so much bigger. That actually makes me a little irritated since I bought my Gazeta from a user on braswap in order to determine my size in the CHP style. I put it on and was like, "WTF? Even with padded inserts I'm swimming in these cups!"
I love this cut, and this bra is so comfortable I forgot I was wearing it. Pleasantly surprised at the beautiful shape it gives me, too. Front and center, just how I've finally realized it is supposed to be.
This bra is simply gorgeous. The detail on it is so pretty and I love the red/black contrast. The straps are fully adjustable and very stretchy. I removed the two "push-up" pads because I don't care for those, and I love the way this fits. I've never had any luck with plunge styles but this one has sold me!
One thing I notice after a day of wear...the bottom part of the elastic kind of cuts in. Not enough to discontinue use however.
